First off, all great things to say about my lawyer, Diana Megalla Right off, even though she had to take over my case within a week of my first court appearance, she was on point, familiar with all the details and nuances of the case (and I had supplied a *pile [redacted] of info) Throughout the entire case, Diana was extremely knowledgeable; helpful (guiding me towards/away from actions based on experience and law); calm, cool and collected (even when I wasn't, at times); very professional, yet very personable I have been extremely fortunate to land such a wonderful attorney to represent me during this trying ordeal At every moment, I felt Diana was "on my team" - working with me, and listening to my views, thoughts and opinions as to what we should do - the direction we should take (or not take!) - and never "pushing" or "coaxing" me into something I didn't feel or think was right For Cordell & Cordell itself Mostly very positive Very kind and receptive when arriving for appointments Easy to make appointments - accommodating both in-person and phone meetings An easy-to-use, clear and mostly concise billing review system (web-based) Client ("customer") Service was very receptive and helpful when I had questions or concerns The -star comes from my personal first experience with a legal firm, and may well be true of all firms - I don't know - these practices may or may not be representative of the whole legal establishment, or just Cordell & Cordell (my personal disclaimer) Billing is pretty "stiff" - you are billed for small portions of time (e-mails, phone calls, attorney time, etc.) Many small (necessary) correspondences can add up to a sizable bill While there are a couple of ways to cover the retainer and charges, unless I missed something, there is no option for a "payment plan", per se, and for someone with limited means, keeping up with the legal fees was difficult most of the time

My recent experience with Cordell & Cordell in Henderson, Nevada, Specifically, my attorney, Holly ***, was very reassuringJust knowing that there is someone out there that cares and is in your corner, Holly definitely reinstated my confidence in the judicial processMy children mean the world to me, and she actually understood the importance of my caseWith what little I had to work with and the difficulty of an uncooperative defendant, the mother, Holly did an outstanding jobI did not get exactly what I wanted due to lack of extenuating circumstances, but I received more than I expected, because of Holly's hard work and dedication to my situationMy only real complaint would be that it was a very expensive experience for not even going to trial, but Holly was upfront and honest with me from the start about the potential costsI would firmly recommend Holly ***'s services to any father that does not feel that they have a fighting chance, because mothers usually always have the upper hand, with Holly and Cordell & Cordell on your team, you now have a level playing fieldGreat job Holly and to your firm!

This is what happened with Rachel [redacted] And Cordell & CordellI hired Cordell & Cordell because this is what the law firm told me at when I filed for the divorce: 1) The firm would have the divorce completed in four to five months2) The divorce would cost $8,and could possibly go up to $10,000, but it would NEVER        cost more than $12,3) The firm told me not to go back to the marital home to retrieve my clothing or personal       belongings(keep in mind that there is a letter on file from the marriage councilor that I      had to leave the martial home for my safety.) 4) The firm stated that Cordell & Cordell would be able to get me 40% of the equity in the     house  This is what Cordell & Cordell did: 1) Took months to finalize the divorceThis is three times longer than the marriage lasted      and four times longer than Cordell & Cordell stated that it would take2) Cordell & Cordell charged my credit card over $27,This is more than three times the      original price that I was quoted by Cordell & Cordell3) It took Cordell & Cordell months to get my personal belongings from the marital house      and some of the personal items were never retrieved4) Cordell & Cordell did not get any of the equity for me form the marital house  Also, every time we were in court, the Cordell & Cordell lawyer said that "this is what you need to do because the opposing counsel said to". 

I really appreciate the services that Cordell & Cordell providedAmanda Clepper is great attorney, she walked me through every step of the process, kept me updated of any changesI felt really assured throughout the whole process I would recommend her and the firm to anyone in need of a divorce attorney and/or is going through custody issuesI wouldn't change a thing, I would do it all over againCudos to Cordell & Cordell and Amanda!!

C&C was a friendly law firm that knows the law However, they are very new to Fairfax/Northern Virginia They do not have the reputation w/in the courts as some of the local law firms My attorney, [redacted]   was very good and informed me of my rights I felt very protected throughout the process My case did not have to go to court If it would have gotten that far, I would not have been very optimistic given the unfamiliarity of the court system/judges in Prince William County (where my case would have been heard)Payments were a little confusing I thought C&C overcharged at times I don't think it was my attorney, but more the business of C&C My case was very slow moving Sometimes w/out any movement for a month or two or three However, I would get charged every month for a letter that my attorney HAD to send to me - via email and then via regular mail Basically saying nothing

I am very pleased with C&C and the lawyer, Diana [redacted] , who represented and guided me throughout the divorce process With their expertise, we were able to finalize my divorce in less than six months! I anticipated the process taking much longer notably since there was a child involved and am thankful that everyone can now move on with their lives, especially for the sake of my son

My lawyer Meghan [redacted] was instrumental in getting me a Child support modification after I transitioned from a divorce and military deployment to finishing my degree I retained her firm as a last resort after trying other State of Nebraska entities after years and two other attemptsShe was always courteous and professional, worked with me and the other party to get a resolution we all agreed on, and I would recommend her and her firm to anyone who needs similar legal help
