In regards to the installation, the team was great!! Tom Burdine was our project manager and was onsite everyday during the installation, we provided daily updates to him and our requests were responded to immediately. One window was delivered and installed with the wrong hardware, the CHI team took it in stride and the correct hardware was installed on the window in a matter of days.
The crew cleaned everything up prior to finishing each day, including vacuuming the area they worked in and installed temporary window coverings - we barely noticed the project was going on.
I would highly recommend Craftsmen Home Improvements to anyone who is looking to do a full window replacement!
We had been planning a remodel of our exterior since we moved into our house in 2013 so we had done quite a bit of research. We selected 4 Companies to provide a quote for all new James Hardie cement siding and window wraps. We selected the Company’s based on Angie’s list recommendations and the James Hardie approved builder list for MN. Based on the bids we received, there were two outliers on the very high end, and outlier on the low end (not a James Hardie approved installer) and a quote right where we expected – that was Craftsmen Home Improvements. In addition, they were the only Company that suggested we may have hail damage and that we should discuss a potential claim with our insurance company prior to performing any work. They were right – and insurance ended up covering over 50% of the project cost.
From the very first day I could tell they were professionals - their installers were smiling, polite, hard-working and considerate. My two year old was even asking “Is Beto coming over today?” Job site was cleaned up every night and it was safe to walk around without fear of stepping on construction materials. They were creative and helped solve a number of drainage/leak issues on the fly (found after tearing off the existing siding) without any upcharges. Most importantly, they found the right mix of providing me with the information I needed and not being overly needy in terms of constant immaterial decisions. Overall the job was a complete success and we knew would hire them again in a heartbeat – which we did when we needed some insulation work done. These guys are perfectionists and take their work very seriously. Almost forgot, we had a couple of very minor issues with the gutters and before I could even ask them if I would have to cover anything they volunteered to immediately address the issues without any charge – they are absolutely militant about standing behind their work, which is one of the things that impressed me the most. I highly recommend them.
Any job we hired out for (painting, doors, windows, etc.), we had excellent service by Craftsmen!! This team has a vast knowledge about the trade which is comforting to me as a consumer. We felt they held a higher standard than the common industry standards. It comes across in their pleasant customer service, their precise execution on the job (including clean-up) as well as their follow-up. I don't need to research for our future needs and will keep their number handy; Craftsmen Home Improvements is who we will call.

I was very pleased with Craftsman Home Improvements. Jim Kosloski was very thorough and helpful as was Maria Sanocki. Jim made the effort to be at my house when the insurance adjustor came to look at the roof damage and I found it reassuring that he could make some input with the insurance adjustor. Also, Maria was very good at keeping me up to date on the timing of the workers working on the roof and fascia, following up with the Roseville city inspectors and responding to my questions.
Craftsman Home Improvement replaced our roof six years ago and did a great job at a reasonable price, so we selected them again when we had hail damage last summer and needed both roof replaced again as well as many windows replaced. The project was large (over $50K) and complicated with insurance claims and multiple aspects of repair and replacement. Plus, our windows type was discontinued, so it required special ordering.
In today's environment of roof repair 'storm chasers' - finding a trusted, high integrity repair and remodel company to me is utmost important. While due to the project complexity and the many back and forth with the insurance company, the project took much longer than expected. However, I strongly recommend them - as they continued to stand behind their work and words. A truly high integrity company that is proud of their work.
A great builder/remodeler in my opinion is not the cheapest or fastest. But, when things go wrong (as they always do in larger complex projects), how well does the company stand behind their work and their commitments. We had our repair issues - but they came back in some cases multiple times to make sure the work was done right. So, while, they have not been the least expensive on bids we received - we have chosen them multiple times due to our experience with their quality of work and integrity of company and this is a positive reflection of their owner Dan [redacted] and the type of team he has also.
I had a roof done by Craftsmen Home Improvements. I found the work to be of high quality, the staff professional, and the price to be competitive. When they were done the cleanup was sufficient. I would use again.
