 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:  Mr. Shawn E[redacted] did not meet with us with a punch list.  Melissa M[redacted] did meet with us and we were given a third bill different then the ones we had received before which raised concerns with us from the beginning  as to how the bill kept on changing.  The outstanding bill was not paid because of the workmanship performed, no need for items billed,  and work that was knowingly not completed correctly.   A contractor did arrive and started to repair our back porch which was insignificant because of all the other repairs that needed to be done, for example our roof and fence which we have to tie up to remain standing.  While the contractor was here we discovered a large hole in our roof that ranged from 3 to 5 inches.  This hole was open the entire winter season.  At that time I contacted Mr. Jim M[redacted] to stop work since more damage was discovered and we had not received a punch list as to the depth and scope of the repairs.  I notified Mr. M[redacted]  that I would be contacting another contractor for him to inspect the work that Install America performed.  The other contractor found other work that was not performed which we were billed for and work which was not completed satisfactorily.  It is unfortunate that Install America responded to this letter since they did not know the scope of the problem until after a meeting with another company representative who could not believe the depth of our problems.  I have real concerns about Install America returning to fix our repairs since the work was knowingly done poorly the first time and a feeble attempt at correcting the problem the second time.  The concerns voiced to the company representative on April 17th are as follows:  please adjust our bill and listen to my reasoning for not allowing Install America to return.  I called their office on April 24th to see if any revision or comments would be made to us and no attempt has been made to contact us.  No conscience consumer would pay a final bill for work that was not needed or performed and there is also a matter of trust that the work will be completed correctly.
Regards,
[redacted]

When I chose to
do business with install America we entered into a contract. I was to
give money for products and services rendered by the company. After
two trips out to my house the product is still not complete, bathroom
window missing trim molding. Again, this probably would not have been
noted if it was not brought to their attention by me. The service
offered by this company is far from adequate. Installation not
complete, messes being left, damage to the home that was not
originally there, and not following the required guidelines when
handling lead paint. When the installers decided not to follow the
rules in regards to lead paint they put my children in harm’s way.
After two service calls the initial and the follow-up, and the work
not completed I am not satisfied. As far as I’m concerned the
company did not hold up their end of the deal and I have by paying
for the Windows. I think the fitting settlement at this point should
be reimbursement for the bathroom window which is not complete as
well as the picture window where the molding has been destroyed.
While they tried to repair the molding is still broken and it was not
that way before they started the work. Thanks [redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  If read carefully, I believe you will find their response to my complaint curious.May I suggest a direction for the company in the future in handling such issues...When a client reports damaged goods by their assessment, a company representative should be sent to the property to make an assessment of the damage and draw up a written replacement agreement.By doing so it instills trust from the customer which then produces a strong foundation for the company. When no assessment is made by the company, followed by verbal promises made via the phone which then are never delivered inaddition to a company representative then "convincing you" into keeping what you have, it only produces a shakey foundation which will not stand.Hopefully it is not too late for them to renew their protocol.
Regards,
[redacted]

I had 13 windows and 1 door installed by Install America and would highly recommend this company. The sales person was very knowledgeable and very patient in explaining and demonstrating the products. They arrived on time, did a very efficient job and a thorough cleanup.

October 28, 2016Dear [redacted]:The wood siding was not procured for the service appointment on Monday 10/24/16. Per my previous response to the complaint, what was the long delay was waiting for the new window master frames that were custom painted. It is the assumption that the wood siding was overlooked or not communicated properly during the angst of waiting for the master frames. The siding is due in next week and we forecast accomplishing the service work some time the following week. However, it sounds like [redacted] will update you on our status.Regards,Mike B

Dear [redacted]:I am in receipt of your letter dated July 1, 2014 in regards to **. [redacted]. [redacted] signed a contract with us on June 19, 2014. The contract was for $24,283.00 with a $5,000.00 down payment and the balance to be financed.Apparently **...

[redacted] was promised that we would be out to his home to start work on Tuesday June 24, 2014, just three working days after the signing of the contract. Unfortunately, because of the size of the contract, it did not go through our financing department until Friday June 27, 2014, Since it was not a net contract, we missed **. [redacted]s deadline of Tuesday.I had a long conversation with [redacted] on or about June 30, 2014. We have cancelled his contract as per his desire. Since it was not a net contract for us his $5,000.00 deposit check was never negotiated at our bank. I mailed his check back to him on June 30, 2014. We have agreed not to charge any fees to [redacted].If you need additional information please do not hesitate to call us.Sincerely;

March 21, 2016Deal [redacted]:Thank you for apprising install America of [redacted]'s additional concerns, Install America contacted [redacted] related to these issues in an effort to schedule a service to resolve them. As mentioned in the previous letter, moisture concerns on the interior of a home are typically a function of relative humidity within the walls of a home, Install America scheduled a service to test the humidity levels in [redacted]'s residence, The service was scheduled for March 16, 2016 and is attached to this correspondence. An ergometer was taken with the Install Americal service technician to accurately measure the humidity levels in [redacted]'s home, The maximum relative humidity should not measure above 40 to 45 degrees in relation to the outdoor temperature. It is based on an indoor temperature of 70 degrees, [redacted]'s reading was 60 percent. Therefore, his overly saturated air was collecting on the windows and the high performance glass was doing its job, The service technician states that he felt [redacted] understood the results and the issues were resolved.Typically this type of service is chargeable at a flat rate of $75.00, Install America is waiving the service fee in an effort to satisfy this homeowner. Please feel free to contact Us if there are any additional questions or comments. Thank you.Regards,Susan W.Safety & Compliance Officer
