October 3, 2014Dear [redacted] :Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the aforementioned complaint [redacted] and [redacted] entered into a Home Improvement Contract with Install America on 08/25/The project was a result of storm damage which was reviewed by the homeowner's insurance company, [redacted] InsuranceThe Home Improvement Contract is attached for your reviewThe following points are the facts surrounding the contractual obligation between Install America and [redacted] and [redacted] :1.) [redacted] Insurance provided an "exact-a-mate" to Install America that lists all approved covered repairsThe claim number is: [redacted] The [redacted] 's were told by the sales rep, as is evidenced on the Home Improvement Contract, there would be no moneys owed out of pocket and the insurance company questions and communications would be managed by Install America as a courtesy and convenience to themInstall America has a specialized insurance department to manage these projects and talk with insurance companies on behalf of the homeowner because this can sometimes get confusing and stressfulHomeowners appreciate this serviceNot only are they getting their damaged home improvement projects repaired with no out of pocket expense, but also have professionals manage all of the paperwork and phone conversations free of charge.2.)Right of Rescission: The right of rescission is governed by Pennsylvania state lawThis explanation is at the bottom of the contract directly under the homeowners' signaturesIt is important to note that the [redacted] s' did not cancel their Home Improvement Contract within the Hour rescission periodBy law, Install America could hold the homeowners to the contract, Due to the expense already put into the execution of the contract, a twenty percent fee was charged to the homeowners.In conclusion, I see very few homeowners unhappy with the advantages install America offers to its homeownersVery few individuals would turn down the opportunity to have their homes improved at no expense to the homeowner with all details managed by the home improvement facilitator, install America will hereby release [redacted] and [redacted] from their home improvement contract, Install America strives for 100% customer satisfactionFeel free to contact me with additional questions or comments.Respectfully,Susan *WSafety & Compliance Officer

We contracted with Install America to do a whole house windows replacement, including the basement windows and the installation of a sliding glass door in the kitchenThey have yet to finish the job to our satisfaction and it has been months nearly ever window blows cold air (not from the windows but from the frame it is installed), they cut out old windows with a saw leaving frame and borders in tact and foam sprayed the new window in placewe lost 1/of our window sill because of this not all windows are sealed the same outside and inside they left shards of metal in our back yard they threw away our weather station monitor - we have to go buy a new one they threw away our outside motion sensor light - we have to go buy a new one they used multi-colored siding and did not tell us there was a hole in the drywall at the bottom of the sliding door that blew in air from the outside, we had to seal this ourselves to keep the kitchen from freezingstill th

October 29, 2014Dear [redacted] :Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the aforementioned complaintInstall America's response is as follows:1) Install America and [redacted] and [redacted] , hereinafter referred to as "homeowners” entered into contract on July 12, The contract was later revisedThe revised contract is dated July 31, Both contracts are attached for your reviewInstall America sent the Construction Project Manager to the homeowner's property to expedite the project so all materials were ordered correctly and timely, Install America ordered foot high white vinyl fencing in the amount of one hundred sixty-eight feet (168') as per the contract specifications, Superior Plastics delivered the order as per the Install America Construction Project Manager.2) An installer went to the homeowners to commence the projectAt this point the homeowner told the installer the “footage" and the “height” were not correct and asked him to leave (despite the footage and height being duly noted on the contract)This cost the installer a day's labor and Install America fees from the installer as wellCharlie D [redacted] who was the sales representative for the homeowners, visited with them and pointed out the footage and height the homeowners were contractually obligated forThe resolution was that the homeowners agreed to the feet of fencing but the height would be changed to foot high fencingA diagram was drawn by the homeowner and is attached.3) On the second attempt at installation of the fencing, the installer once again arrived at the property prepared to prepare the project siteOn this occasion, he was told by the homeowner she does not want foot high fencing as ordered, but rather foot high fencingThe installer was asked to leave by the homeownerSuperior Plastics was prepared to deliver the product which again had to be cancelledIt is noteworthy to mention that every time an order is cancelled, whether delivered or not, a 20% restocking fee is chargedInstall America now has two (2) 20% restocking fees, and full days an installer has not worked, as well as two days of installer charges.In conclusion, Install America is patiently waiting to hear what the homeowners' intentions are regarding their project and their contractual obligationInstall America's main focus is 100% customer satisfaction for every project we accomplishPlease feel free to contact me with any additional questions or commentsThank you.Respectfully,Susan W.Safety & Compliance Officer

Here is the letter I sent to Install America Since then, they were here three times, to change the insulation in the windows They have now stopped responding to our calls for help, and we still have cold air coming in the windows, and ice forming on the inside of the windows We can provide pictures of this, if you wish to see them December 18, Install America [redacted] Mohnton, PA [redacted] To Whom it may concern: We bought new windows from you on 4-3- We bought four double hung windows, and two sliders We have no problems with the double hung windows, but the sliders allow a great amount of cold air to come into the house No one explained to us, the sliding windows were not as efficient as double hung windows If they had, we would certainly have chosen all double hung windows Furthermore, I can't believe all sliding windows allow this much air to pass through them, we have ice forming on the inside of our windows There were so

We hired Install America to reside our home, replace gutters, and do Stonework in July of 2015, the work was not finished until January of In May of we noticed problems with the stonework, we contacted the company, and they came out and took pictures, and then claimed it was not their problem, but the problem was with the manufacturer of the stonework, so over a span of a few months a rep from [redacted]  came and took pictures, and said what we had already feared that Install America did not install the product correctly, so now we have a voided warranty with [redacted] , and we started working with Install america on a solutionThey wanted to come out and reinstall the stonework, our question to them was who would be doing that because obviously their employees do not know how to install the stonework(we were the first clients that purchased it), along with that we worried about the integridity of the product from [redacted] , so we requested our money back for that portion o

October 11, 2016Dear [redacted] ***;We are in receipt of your letter regarding our customer, [redacted] ***, Both **& *** [redacted] have been great customers, and it is unfortunate that they felt it necessary to take their complaints to the Revdex.comWe are in agreement with what they requested under their "desired settlement" to their letter to your office, We are still awaiting new window frames to arriveThey are a custom color and take many weeks to be shippedWe cannot accomplish any of the other work until the new window frames are receivedAs soon as they are received, we will contact the ***'s to schedule the service work.In our line of work, we can deal with some tough customers to satisfyHowever, the ***'s are reasonable people who we simply did not deliver the proper service they deservedI can assure them that their issues will be rectified in full once the product is received, which we hope will be sooner than later.Regards,Mike B

I would recommend Install America to every one.They go above and beyond to do the job right The initial estimate was done professionally and honestlyThey we straight forward and thorough I was informed about every step of the roof projectThe guys that came out to do the job were friendly and professional.They did a great jobThere was only one problem there were more boards to replace on the roof that caused the project to cost a few thousand dollars more the I expectedWas unable to come up with the extra funds, I was dismayed at the thought of not getting my roof done.But I was pleasantly surprised I got a call from Carl from Install America and said don’t worry Mr Caron we will absorb the extra cost and get your roof done I am so happy with the job they did from start to finish

When I chose to do business with install America we entered into a contractI was to give money for products and services rendered by the companyAfter two trips out to my house the product is still not complete, bathroom window missing trim moldingAgain, this probably would not have been noted if it was not brought to their attention by meThe service offered by this company is far from adequateInstallation not complete, messes being left, damage to the home that was not originally there, and not following the required guidelines when handling lead paintWhen the installers decided not to follow the rules in regards to lead paint they put my children in harm’s way After two service calls the initial and the follow-up, and the work not completed I am not satisfiedAs far as I’m concerned the company did not hold up their end of the deal and I have by paying for the WindowsI think the fitting settlement at this point should be reimbursement for the bathroom window which is not complete as well as the picture window where the molding has been destroyed While they tried to repair the molding is still broken and it was not that way before they started the work.Thanks [redacted] ***

We've been working with this company in regards to hail damage to our home since end of summer They've have delayed service, no called no showed, provided incomplete service and we've coaught employees lying about the time they spent at our home workingThey've ruined personal property inside our home because of not taking the necessary precautions to safeguard our belongings by using drapes and cloths before starting work, and have not cleaned up after they were finishedAfter months of arguing and fighting about the length of time it is taking ot make repairs to the interior of our home, I finally called on 2/3/15, after an electrician was a no call no show and I had aranged for a family member to be at my home for the day, and advised the company that I wanted them to finish the outside of the home only, what was left to be done and that I no longer wanted them inside my homeI spoke with Jim Miller and advised that our home has been torn apart for weeks and that the constant delays, with no notice were unacceptable not to mention the horrible quality of work that had been done so far and the falsification of time workedAt this point we are waiting to see if they provide an accurate estimate of work done to date and leave us with the remainder to attain workers on our own to complete the jobThis is the second complaint that I have made against this copmany and the first time was simply quietedTranslate Desired Settlement / Outcome Desired Settlement: select Desired Outcome: I want a detailed and itemized statement of charges so that we can close the calim with them and I want them to finish the work on the outside of the home so we can be done with them!

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the aforementioned complaintInstall America's response is as follows:There have been difficulties in receiving the correct order for [redacted] ***The first order was placed on 09/11/The order was for the Left flanker of the lite slider [redacted] *** wished to add the Picture Window component of the Lite Slider on 09/19/Despite all packing and manufacturing information listing the correct glass, I chose to do this as a customer satisfaction gesture since [redacted] believes the glass is incorrectShe also states there is a scratch in the picture windowThe order was delivered and the service scheduledUnfortunately, I forgot to add the second part of the order to the service write upIt appears the Picture Window glass never cameThis happens at times when additional items are added to orders.I apologized to [redacted] and reassured her I would place the order againThe order arrivedI attempted to schedule the service on a Saturday, which is very rare, in an effort to accommodate [redacted] ***When the large Picture Window glass was unwrapped on the date of this service, it appeared to have scratches in itDan still attempted to service the left flanker windowAt the time he discovered the Picture Window glass was indeed the correct glass [redacted] had ordered originally while holding a heat gun to all sectionsHe believes the tinting looked "off" to [redacted] because the flankers have screens which darken the appearance of the glassAdditionally, the temperature of the large picture window would be warmer or colder to the touch than the flanker units due to the larger surface areaHe did not see any scratches in the glassDan, the service technician believed [redacted] understood his explanationUpon receipt of the Revdex.com letter, I asked for Dan to contact [redacted] to see what remaining issues she hasShe stated to Dan she wants another picture windowI have again ordered the picture window for [redacted] despite believing the glass was correct the entire timeAgain this is in an effort to satisfy the homeowner which is install America's number one goalI will be contacting [redacted] as soon as the Picture Window glass arrives.Please feel free to contact me with any additional questions or commentsThank you.Respectfully,Susan MW***,Service Manager,Install America

Install America stands behind every product and installation we contract for [redacted] had complaints from the initial install Our branch manager visited her, and agreed with some service issues were present As a policy, we send our installers back to correct their mistakes Per MsFord's letter, she feels they did not accomplish what was necessary At this point we will agree to schedule a different installer to remedy any and all issues Our branch manager will be in contact with [redacted] to schedule the appointment We also agree to compensate [redacted] for the weather station and motion light All outstanding issues will be addressed within a reasonable time frame

Dear [redacted] ***:Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the aforementioned complaintA Project Manager was sent to review all outstanding issues and a punch list was created with a plan moving forward to resolve all issues with the installation.As per [redacted] ***'s request a different crew was sent back to the property to review the current installation [redacted] was dissatisfied with and perform all items on the punch listThe crew also reconfigured some of the items in the project in an effort to satisfy the homeownerThe project repair/review took approximately twenty-two hoursThe project is considered to he complete at this point in time.The Service Manager at Install America spoke with [redacted] related to the damages in the gardens [redacted] is going to forward photos of the garden prior to the commencement of the home improvement projectA comprehensive review of the photos will determine monetary reward lor any damages resulting from the Install America installation.The project was completed as per the contractual obligation between Install America and [redacted] and [redacted] for a total amount of ten thousand four hundred dollars ($10,400.00)No items are outstanding so the contractual obligation must be paid in full.Install America stands behind all projects performedWe service one hundred percent of our homeowners and strive for one hundred percent homeowner satisfactionPlease feel free to contact us with any additional questions or comments.Respectfully,Susan W.Safety & Compliance Officer

We were unlucky enough to deal with Install America for a project they did for usWe scheduled for the install to be done around two months ago in which they entered the incorrect date for on their systemWe scheduled this install with our jobs in which rescheduling would have been a painLuckily, a contractor was then sent out that same dayHe was very nice, but while installing, noticed that he was putting the door on incorrectly (opening on wrong side)We told the person who did the measurements to open on the other sideThe contactor was able to switch the sides, but the screen now had to be reorderedAfter the install was completed, the next week the lock stopped working and had to be repairedThen a month later, we didn't hear anything back regarding our screenCalled them and found out it was never orderedAfter another month, I called asking about the status and found our screen was sent to another locationDuring the wait, we noticed the seal was coming off the frameAfter multiple calls, they continued to disagree that the seal was broken, insinuate we were lying, and wanted to come take pictures as opposed to fix their mistakeWe continued to make calls to get this screen installed and they repeatedly told us that we didn't need to be home to get the screen installed, but nothing about the seal needed to get repairedI eventually worked with Sue who always made it seem like I was such an inconvenience for them when I do not have a finished productWe scheduled a contractor to come out a week later from the shipping error and he never showed upHe called on Sunday saying he forgot us and wanted to come early Monday morningThis made me late for work and he didn't do anything nor bring my screenWe are still waiting on our screen and have had nothing but headaches with Install AmericaTheir lack of customer appreciation, attention to their mistakes, and mistrust of us has left us feeling scammedWe wish we never used Install America for this project and will never recommend their services to anyone

This all began the end of April with an estimate (Ten thousand five hundred) to have an exterior wall reconstructed Salesman advised the windows/slider would be installed (Not finished) within days(Yes, hard to believe but I would have been satisfied with a week completion) Also, the salesman assured me that the company does not use outside contractors well, that was false Nonetheless, the job was started near or on July 25th and here I am 2+ months later and the job is yet to be completed correctly My house has wood siding for over years and on this wall in question there are no breaks in the original wood siding where water would be able to penetrate When Install America supposedly completed the job the wood siding they replaced had different locations in which there were breaks in the wood therefore, risking the chance for water to penetrate for which buckling may occur There are other small details in which I have made the company aware of two weeks a

February 23, 2016Dear [redacted] ***;Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the aforementioned complaint, [redacted] had a window installation project completed on November 9, 2013, so date, this writer has no documented complaints related to the window installationThis writer manages all window services,A phone call was placed to [redacted] on February 19, 2016, upon receipt of this complaint, to date, there have bec rio returned phone calls related to said complaint, interior condensation is typically a function of water vapor levels inside the home, install America cannot control humidity levels within a home, When water condenses on high performance glass, it is an indication that the glass is doing its job, water is also collecting on walls and window treatments, but it can only be seen on the surface area of the glass, water typically collects at the coolest part of the window, which is the lock area at the "meeting rail" in the middle of the window, and the lift rail at the bottom of the window, The collection of water vapor is also related to the heat source in the home at times,Install America services 100% of our homeowners and will be happy to schedule a service with [redacted] to evaluate the water vapor concernsAdditionally there is an instrument that measures water vapor called an ergometer, Install America will be happy to bring one to measure the water vapor levels in this propertyPlease feel free to contact me with any additional questions or comments, shank you,Regards,Susan W.Safety & Compliance Officer

December 9, 2014Dear [redacted] :I am writing you in response to our customer [redacted] Currently her order for windows and doors are ordered and in production with the appropriate manufacturersOur representative, Wes M [redacted] , named in her last letter was able to inspect her project and determine the appropriate measurements and installation methodIt is important to understand that we already had two project managers, with a combined years of experience, inspect her project with an extreme amount of uncertainty of an appropriate installation method for the unusual applicationWe had also come to learn that this was after different contractors had declined the project, and one in particular that had already manufactured the windows.We have been in communication with [redacted] throughout the process and will continue to provide her our best customer service [redacted] was pleased with our ability to devise an appropriate installation method, especially when it requires less work providing a substantial discount from our original contract quoteWe look forward to completing her project while adding beauty and value to her home.Regards,Mike B
