Discount Moving & Storage

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

The reason for the rejection was that I have already filed a claim with them. Was contacted for a weight for the claim department. When I didnt hear back I called in the status and was told nothing was left on the truck. Section 6 that they talk about is change of address. Ive emailed asking for owners name amd email address and was just told it would be forwarded.

  The truck arrived at 1500 hours or before.  Your email sent to you on December 10, 2013 indicated a two window of show up.  According to the e mail we were within our boundaries of what the company honored to do as to showing up on the date of December 28th 2013 between 1500 hours and 1300 hours.

Below is a copy of the e mail sent to you on December 10, 2014.

following is the information for your upcoming move. If you have any

Move Date  December 28th, 2013 In between 1300 and 1500 hrs (If you need to change the date or time please feel free to give us a call, no fees for changes)

3 men, 1 truck @ 99.00 per hour, port to port, tax, no additional or surprise fees.

note the portal to portal is a travel charge based on how long google

maps states it takes from our office to your load address and from your

unload address to our office. This has been calculated at $97.34 for

your move. 

Moving supplies are available at an additional charge (boxes, shrink, tape).

 All required equipment (hand trucks, moving

blankets, four wheeler's) are included in your hourly rate. 

$100 nonrefundable deposit is required, and will be charged on your CC on file and applied to your move.

The dispatcher asked you if a 48 foot truck could get on to the complex and you stated that semis were in the complex all the time. Also you had an extremely amount of items to move.  When we arrived the coomplex manager would not allow us on the property with our truck because policy had been changed even though the driver could get it on the complex without any fear of damage.  You were very  upset with the complex manager but we came out the following day to move you and rearranged our schedule to accommodate you.  No charge was assessed you on that day.  the company had to pay for the gas and the 3 men and a supervisor even though we were not able to move you.  This cost was 103.00 dollars which we did not bill you .

The email shows all the charges and terms of the contract which you say you did not know about. Ms. [redacted] received this e mail on December 10, 2013 almost 20 days before the move.

We will be fix any items or adhere to the terms and conditions of the contract.  Please let our office know what items were damaged.  No mention of damage is on the contract on the day of your move.

We will however, extend you a 25% discount on any future materials and a 10 discount to you on future moves as well as a 10 per cent commission on any move you refer to our office.
