Dishman Dodge Ram Chrysler Jeep Reviews (66)

I apologize for the earlier confusion I was unaware that [redacted] had not been spoken to about our offer. My body shop manager did speak with [redacted] to explain everything to her since then. We have taken care of the promised work and she did accept a check for $400.00 when she picked up the vehicle on the night of 12/6/16. We apologize for any inconveniences.

Nancy L[redacted] brought her vehicle in on 7/27/15 because she stated that the check engine light is on and it dies when it gets to hot. She also said that she had the crank sensor done somewhere else so that wouldn't need to be done (attached is a copy of the repair order which she signed stating...

that the crank sensor was done at a different shop). We diagnosed her vehicle as having a stored code (P0431) for a faulty cam sensor that needed to be replaced. We replaced that sensor, cleared the code and test drove the vehicle and the check engine light did not come back on. She picked the vehicle up later and the vehicle did stall out on the road so we paid for her vehicle to be towed back to the shop. Her vehicle is one that we only have one tech that is Chrysler certified to work on and with his heavy work load we were doing our best to diagnose her vehicle. When we got it back in the shop we found a crank sensor code so when we told Nancy that she then had her vehicle towed back to the shop that did the crank sensor and they evidently found that the problem was loose wires connected to the crankshaft sensor. The problem with her vehicle was for faulty wires on a part that we never worked on or even touched in fact we were told that the faulty part was done at a different shop. So it sounds like her issue should be with the other shop the installed the crank sensor and not us.  In the end we are not liable for another shops mishap and we are willing to incur the cost of the tow we paid for and the labor time that we were not liable for (invoice attached).

We opened a repair order to look and [redacted] vehicle with an engine temp concern. We lifted the vehicle in the air and realized that it was packed with mud everywhere including the radiator and motor. It appeared at this point that the engine overheat was not due to faulty parts but due to the...

driver. At this point we called our local Chrysler rep to come and look at this vehicle before we move forward. This is standard procedure because we as a dealer are liable for the cost of the repairs if Chrysler deems it not to be a warranty issue. After looking at it the rep determined it was absolutely not due to a part failure and denied the claim. At this point Dishman has nothing to do with the repair anymore and if [redacted] wants to explore this further he needs to take it up with Chrysler which was explained to him on multiple occasions. There are laws set up to protect dealers in a situation like this so at this point Dishman will not be participation in any future repairs regarding this issue and will not be participating with any sort of compensation.

We understand Mrs.
[redacted]’s frustration but there is a lot of risk in buying an inexpensive used
car with 121,000 miles. There was no mention of a transmission repair on the
purchase paperwork and no promise from Dishman to repair it. If this had come up
within a few days of the...

purchase we may have been in a position to help but
unfortunately we are not in a position to assist almost a year after her
purchase.

I apologize for the late response but we were able to come to a resolution with Mr. [redacted] and I did forget to respond to the Revdex.com to make them aware. Here was the resolution Mr. [redacted] agreed to:
Mr.
[redacted],

I am extremely sorry
to hear about the issues you have had with your
recent...

purchase. I received your email to the
dealership yesterday and was waiting until I could speak with all of
the parties involved before responding. After
speaking with everyone it sounds like we made some mistakes. After speaking with
my GM he has given me the go ahead to reimburse you
in order to make it right.  I want to say from me and
the ownership who has been involved in this we are
sorry for any inconvenience during this purchase. I will be sending you a check
in the amount of $625.00 to make up for
the $500 trade difference and cover
the cost of the key and
gas cap: I just need to know the address you would
like us to mail it to and make sure the next time
you’re in that you let our service department know you were promised a valet key
by [redacted] that will work for your locking tailgate and
they can make you one at that
point.

Sincerely,

[redacted]

We had the [redacted]’s bring their vehicle back in to us on 9/11/17 so we could recheck the vehicle and fix the issue. We also put them into a rental vehicle so they would not be without transportation. Upon further investigation we found that the WCM was causing the problem so we replaced the part...

at no cost to them. On the previous visit to our service center on 8/28/17 we did find that their battery tested bad and did need to be replaced and they did have to pay for that because the vehicle was out of standard warranty but unfortunately it does appear that the service writer did give them a general quote for the battery instead of the exact cost. So we will be refunding them the difference of $32.07 in a check that we will mail to them ASAP. We are truly sorry for and inconveniences they may have incurred and we hope that we will  be able to earn their business back in the future. Shane S[redacted]Customer Service ManagerDishman Dodge-Chrysler-Jeep [redacted] [redacted] [redacted]
