The payment experience Ms. [redacted] refers to in her complaint is as follows: Date Reported: 10/2014 Paying Record: Bad Debt High Credit: $7500 Now Owes: $7500 Past Due: $7500 Reporting Supplier's SIC code: [redacted] - Personal Credit InstitutionD&B receives these payment experiences via our Trade Exchange Program. The D&B Trade Exchange Program is network of data contributors providing accounts receivable updates, both favorable and unfavorable payment experiences, that are incorporated into our Predictive Indicators like the D&B Rating, the PAYDEX Score and other business insight available to the business community. The accounts receivable files are run through customized programs; checked for quality and then loaded into our database where the payment experience information is available to customers who purchase D&B reports and products. This payment information is used by other companies, to help evaluate credit exposure and opportunities to develop risk-based marketing plans. Over 600,000,000 experiences flow-through the system each year, with an excess of 70,000,000 million experiences resident in the database at any given time. When a company participates in the Trade Exchange Program, we hold their name confidential.Challenges to payment experiences are first handled by our Customer Service Center and payment experiences that require further action are forwarded to Trade Exchange Group for resolution. At that point, we reach out to the Credit Executive for verification of the individual account information. Our records show that a recheck was initiated on Dec 4 2014 regarding this particular payment experience. This process involves us reaching out to the reporting company, asking them to re-verify the data provided as well as provide name release authorization. The results will be emailed to Ms. [redacted] within 10 working days.

Review: I have been a general contractor in Las Vegas for over 28 years. I never wanted to join Dunn and Bradstreet because of the false information that they allow to post on credit reports. I rec'd a call from [redacted] with Dunn and B who informed me that I have may items on my credit report that show we are severe late pay. I had him call my wife and he informed me that some of the items were a detective agency and a publishing company. Dsert Valley Contracting does not do business with anyone in these categories. This is severely hurting our business. Many companies go the the Dunn and Bradstreet report and request your credit even though I choose to not have my company involved with them. I lose business because of this and these items are not reported accurate. They will not do anything unless I pay $1,500, which is their yearly fee. Can you help me with this matter. Thank you,Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Other (requires explanation)

All items taken off a credit report that is listed with Dun and Bradstreet on my company [redacted] Inc. A freeze on my company so this is not allowed to happen again.

Response:

A check of our records shows that the company in question is [redacted], Inc. We have assigned DUNS #[redacted] to this record.Dun & Bradstreet collects information on businesses in order to provide insight to our customers who are making commercial decisions, including among other things, risk management, supply management and sales and marketing decisions. Our objective is to provide fair and accurate information. The business itself, through its principals, is often the best source of information, which is why our investigation starts with them. If the business is are unable to, or chooses not to provide Dun & Bradstreet with information, our investigation continues with a search of public records and other knowledgeable authorities. We cannot, however, remove data from the given report just because the subject company requests it. All information contained within the report is verified. In the case of payment experiences, that data comes directly from companies which share their accounts receivable infomration with Dun & Bradstreet. Please note: the data within the Dun & Bradstreet report on [redacted], Inc is available through iupdate.dnb.com. This web portal is free of charge and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this complaint.

Review: At the end of 2014, we were planning to end a 3-yr contract with D&B because of their elevating costs. The contract was initiated online @DnBUS in 2011 by an employee who at the time of renewal was no longer with the company. Upon our attempt to cancel , we were told that we didn't cancel on time and that we had received an email regarding renewal. The email, however, went to a general mailbox and was disregarded as "junk mail". After multiple attempts to try to cancel and resolve, including request to speak to a supervisor, (whom after several attempts to contact, did not respond), we sent a check for $1000.00 in March of 2015 as a fair settlement covering 2 months for a product we did not use since November 2014. The check specified that it was a final payment and a cancellation of a service we did not use, or acknowledge any desire to renew. The check was cashed and we assumed this would end the dispute. We have since been hounded by a collection agency on D&B's behalf, for the remainder of the contract amount (The total contract was for $6050 up 15% from the previous year). The fact that any company would have an auto renewal with such a substantial rate hike, without a follow up phone call or ACTUAL confirmation that this is accepted, is beyond what should be legal. D&B is hounding us because they are a giant company and because they think they can.Desired Settlement: Desired outcome is for D&B to leave us alone and settle for the payment that we made, on a product we did not make use of.

Review: This company is selling my home address without my permission. I have requested over a dozen times to be excluded from their database where they sell my information. Each time, they say I will be removed, but it never happens! I never wanted to be in their database in the first place, but I was required to get a DUNS number to do work with the US government. It has been so much trouble, I DO NOT WANT A DUNS NUMBER and I don't want them selling my information.Desired Settlement: Remove my business name and home address and remove DUNS number from their database. Stop selling my identity!

Review: I have contacted Dun & Bradstreet on several occasions to request that they stop providing my mailing address to junk email distributors. Every time over the last two years, they've assured me that my information will be kept private, but I've informed by junk email distributors that Dun & Bradstreet is still providing my address to them. The latest one is a company called [redacted] in San Diego, CA.Desired Settlement: Remove my information from public records. Contact all customers that D&B has sold my information to (against my repeated opt-out requests) and request that they remove my information from their distribution lists.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Regards,

Review: We reviewed our dun and bradstreet credit report and on several occasions have found many mistakes which have not been resolved within the last four months.

First off, there are multiple DUNS numbers for my business. It has been requested of them to remove the two incorrect ones, and for there to only remain one. This request has been put in over 3 times and though they say it has been completed, it has not.

Secondly, the address of my business is incorrect. I have attempted to update the address on several occasions, both online and over the phone.

Third, there was a past due balance showing on my report that was incorrect. We reported the mistake in November 2015. We had to open 3 cases in order to get it removed.

I have spoken to more than three customer service representatives and a manager over the phone and via email. The d&b report with its many mistakes looks poorly on my business and has proven to affect my business negatively. We must have these mistakes corrected and [redacted] does not appear to be able to get this done.Desired Settlement: Erase all incorrect DUNS numbers for [redacted]

The correct DUNS number is [[redacted]]

These DUNS numbers are incorrect and need to be removed: [[redacted]] and [[redacted]]

The address needs to be updated to the correct address.

The business address is

[redacted] 90028

The mailing address is:

[redacted] 90028

Review: Good Morning ,

My name is [redacted], I am writing in hope that you can resolve my issue with Dun and Bradstreet Corporation, here is a brief summery .

I am the 100 % Principal in a Restaurant consulting firm in Los Angeles California, the name of the business is [redacted] I obtained a Federal EIN number 3[redacted] from the Department of the Treasury in my name on 07-28-2014

Articles of incorporation and Corporate Operating agreement filed with the State of Nevada on 07/03/2014.

I asked our Manager , [redacted] to contact D&B to request our duns number this number was finally obtained on 07/29/2014.

[redacted] advised me that D&B Credibility Corporation had provided us with an Expedited Duns number [redacted] and he also was advised that in order to create and build the business credit file we would need to sign up for their $1200 a year Credit Builder Service , the service allows for your business information to be verified and it gave us the ability to manually add trade references so they can be verified with D&B and subsequently added to our profile.

We added trade references and the vendors that regularly report to D&B started reporting our payment history.

On August 19TH 2014 I received an automated alert from D&B that my company's credit file had been blocked .

D&B locked my company's credit file , all my payment history has been wiped clean and upon reading the notes they have listed me

[redacted] as the Manager of the Company and [redacted] that is actually the manager as the Principal the Company [redacted]

Apparently [redacted] had a Business called TIKABA LLC in 2012.

They have mistakingly tied his company to mine and are officially announcing that fact in my company's credit file!!!

I asked [redacted] to correct the situation with D&B , his Emails to costumer service and his contact at the Presidential Offices

Ms [redacted] ###-###-####

have gone unanswered.

In the mean time D&B is knowingly furnishing derogatory incorrect information to my suppliers .

I am attaching all the documentation that supports the aforementioned statements .

Copy of IRS letter , Articles of Incorporation and operating agreement that clearly states my role as 100% owner of the LLC and [redacted]s role as Manager.

Please help me resolve this issue with D&B , I gladly paid for their credit builder service however information is to be reported based on facts not suspicion and hunches !!!

And at this point my business [redacted] LLC is suffering Financial damages based on the reporting of this incorrect information as the same alert that was sent yo me was also sent to every supplier that has ever inquired on my credit

Please help me resolve this issue.

Feel free to contact [redacted]- Manager for additional details if needed at ###-###-####

Or ###-###-####

Respectfully.

[redacted]Desired Settlement: Report correct information, open credit file and restore payment history and verified trade references.

Response:

In previous communications with D&B, company management submitted information to D&B indicating that [redacted] is a limited liability company that started in 2014 and operates as a provider of management consulting services. Additionally, management reported that the company has 20 employees and operates from an owned 5,000 square foot facility at [redacted] A business phone number of ###-###-#### was also provided for the business. On August 19, 2014, a check with the Nevada Secretary of State revealed that a limited liability company registration was filed underthe name [redacted] on July 3, 2014. A check with the California Secretary of State shows no evidence of a foreign registration beingissued to [redacted]. A check with the D&B historical database shows that the report for [redacted] was created on November 11, 2013 at the request of management. On August 19, 2014, sources show that the reported business address, [redacted], is a residential apartment andis owned by an unrelated party.A review of the D&B historical database shows that since the report was created, there have been a high number of inquiries on Curtis [redacted]. This advises D&B that the company is experiencing a high-end amount of customer activity. In addition, it is noted that [redacted], Principal in [redacted], also appears as a principal in [redacted], which has been assigned a higher-risk status. As a result of these factors, financial and credit details will be withheld.Any questions should be directed to our Severe Risk Team at ###-###-####.Sincerely,D&B US National Customer Relations

Review: There are erroneous and misinformation about my businesses on this DNB report. I have sent in documentation about both of my legitimate companies and [redacted] and Scott in the High Risk department won't return any calls. This have been going on for months. I was first informed that there was an issue with my DNB report in late 2013 and have tried to resolve this issue, but to no avail.Desired Settlement: My company Tyler Communication & Associates, LLC (Now, [redacted]) and my non-profit, The [redacted], Inc. should be taken out of high risk status and given the proper company credibility and recognition.

Due to D&B's analysis of the data provided on both listed entities, we have determined that each report be identified as a potential High Risk Status. Response:

I am rejecting this response because: I have talked to [redacted] and [redacted] over the past 9 months, but to no avail. I talked to [redacted] and he stated the reason why my businesses are in High Risk is because of [redacted], my old company, was LLCd in 2008 versus 2007. I stated to DNB in 2007 or so that I started this company as a sole proprietor in 2007 and registered it as an LLC a year later along with paying $500 for DNB registration and monitoring. Due to a pending legal matter, 6 years later, [redacted] no longer operates. [redacted] vs the State of [redacted] case is ongoing in the Court of Claims. [redacted], LLC. v. STATE OF [redacted], CASE #[redacted]

This is ridiculous that this would be the reason why my companies, [redacted]. and The [redacted], Inc. have been placed in high risk status. I have filed complaints with thePA State Attorney Generals office, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission, U.S. Consumer Protection Agency and soon the U.S. Department of Justice and U.S. Office of Civil Rights, if this matter isn't clea red.

Review: Dun & Bradstreet's marketing database have sold my personal information, such as First Name, Middle Name, Last Name, complete address, company name such very sensitive information to companies or agencies such as FindTheCompany (http://www.findthecompany.com/), Bizapedia (http://www.bizapedia.com), Perfectleads (http://www.perfectleads.com), and could be many other sources that I may not have been aware of. This is a very personal and sensitive information of mine that has gone public, and anybody in the world, sitting at any corner - may that be Asia, Africa, Middle-Eastern, etc. - can easily see all my details. D & B (Dun & Bradstreet) has shared (either sold or made available freely) this information, without my consent, whatsoever. This is not acceptable and I would sincerely like to request Revdex.com to take a immediate and strong actions on this. I would like all this information to be removed from public access as the earliest. If me or my family is directly or indirectly affected due to this personal information being publicly available, I will hold all the above parties (Dun & Bradstreet, FindTheCompany, Bizapedia, Perfectleads and many such others to whom D&B has sold/shared my personal information) solely responsible.Desired Settlement: I would you like this matter resolved by D&B by making sure all the below listed companies take out the entire personal information about me and my company from their websites. The list of the companies include, however not limited to: Dun & Bradstreet, FindTheCompany, Bizapedia, Perfectleads.

To make sure that all this personal information does not appear via search-engine websites.

If they are unable to, or choose not to provide the information, our investigation continues with a search of public records and other knowledgeable sources. The Virginia Secretary of State currently shows [redacted], Inc’s corporate charter as terminated effective June 30, 2015. This public record shows the business name [redacted], Inc., [redacted], principal officer [redacted] We have updated this credit report to show as currently inactive. We have also notified, Findthecompany, Corporationwiki and Alacrastore who are companies that buy our data requesting they remove the information pertaining to [redacted], Inc off of their websites. Review: Dun and Bradstreet sells data on businesses and companies. My personal information is somehow loaded into their database. I have been assigned a DUNS number which is [redacted]. This DUNS number is associated with a "company" named "[redacted]". This company does not exist. It is my name (last name, first name) and my wife's name combined. In addition, all of my personal information is included in their database including my home address, home email address and personal phone number. I do not, nor have I ever, owned my own company. The company name they have is a combination of mine and my wife's name. D&B is selling my personal information as if I was a private company so I get an average of 6 - 8 unsolicited calls each day. I called D&B in June 2013 and told them about this error. I explained that I do not own a business and that they were selling my personal information. They said it would take up to 14 days to review my request to be removed from their database. As of August 2013, my personal information can still be found in their business database. When I called D&B again on August 8, 2013, they said my request had been denied. They did not give me a reason. So all my personal information is still found in their database and is being sold.Desired Settlement: I would like all of my personal information removed from their business database immediately.

Business

Response:

[redacted]

D&B has an obligation to provide our customers with information that may be a factor in their decision-making involving credit, insurance, marketing, and other activities.

Our objective is to provide fair and accurate information. The business principal is the best source of information, which is why our investigation starts with them. If they are unable to, or choose not to provide the information, our investigation continues with a search of public records and other knowledgeable authorities.

According to D&B records a call was received by this customer and was logged in our database on June 12, 2013 and placed for investigation to confirm if this was an active company. This Duns #[redacted] was updated on June 17, 2013 as a no longer quoted record. When this occurs the information is no longer a marketable record. The information with a no longer quoted status does still exist with the business name and address on our database.

According to D&B records another call was received from the customer stating the information was still visible August 8, 2013. D&B has taken actions to remove the existence of this data completely; however our data is refreshed on a monthly schedule.

D&B has contacted certain companies that purchased this information and have displayed on the internet and requested for them to delete this as well.

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this complaint. It is our belief that this response resolves this issue.

Respectfully Submitted,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Regards,

Review: We signed up with [redacted]’s lead generation service late in October in the hopes that it would be a worthwhile business solution to help our sales team. Our plan was to use [redacted]’s as our main lead generation tool so that our sales team could get qualified prospects and new clients. [redacted]’s value proposition is that the tool will empower your sales team, and that access to the tool would unlock sales intelligence features.

After we signed up, the entire sales team attended [redacted]’s training sessions and used the tool for 2 weeks+ so that we could use the tool to the best of its potential. The team and I quickly discovered that the information was very inaccurate. We found way too many instances that the information on the tool was completely dated, meaning there was a mismatch in the information that their online tool provides. We are supposed to get all company details for a lead, an accurate phone number, email and website, but we quickly discovered that was not the case. The margin of error was very high. We ran into instances all the time.

Since all these details we completely off, websites had wrong website addresses, wrong phone numbers and emails, the entire team became discouraged with the tool. We decided to give it a second shot.

We changed our approach and industries in using the tool, attended further training sessions, but we were not able to improve the results that we would get with the tool. Because of this we had to resort to a more manual sales lead generation process, which was what we were trying to avoid in the first place. The idea was that [redacted]’s would make us more time efficient and would help us land clients via their lead generation model, but we decided it was best to put the tool aside, and seek a different provider.Desired Settlement: We incurred in costs in seeking out a different provider and changed systems simply because the tool was not working for us. I tried contacting my account executive at the company and I expressed my concerns with the tool. I asked that our account be cancelled completely and that we get a refund. My requests were ignored and they got back to me saying that I had to provide proof that their service was not working for me. Isn’t quality assurance something that [redacted]’s should do in the first place? If it had, I wouldn’t have gone through the process of changing providers, and requesting a cancellation of the service. It’s simply a low quality service portrayed as a corporate intelligence tool with a steep price. I firmly request a refund for the last charge and complete cancellation of the service. [redacted]'s can keep the first installment.

Business

Response:

Based on my research of our internal systems, as well as a conversation with the [redacted]'s sales rep, we cannot issue the requested refund. The customer could not provide any examples to support their claims of bad data. In addition, there is a fully-executed contract in place, which is attached here.

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because:

As a customer of [redacted]’s lead generation system, we are disappointed at the quality of the information provided by the [redacted]’s system and we are saddened that acontract has to be mentioned as a justification for the quality of your service. This leads us to conclude that the service has more severe issues that what we believed initially. On the [redacted]’s website, the following claim is made that doesn’t hold true: “With [redacted]’s, you can uncover opportunities, tap new markets, and streamlineprospecting”. We truly believed that we would streamline prospecting and that [redacted]’s leads would help our sales team improve their effectiveness to be ableto land more qualified opportunities. We found ourselves having to do quality assurance checks on the data in the system, by doing additional research to double check the information. When I first learned of this problem, I contacted Daniel Levensohn at your company, and was told that nothing could be done about my problem andthat I had to provide proof. I believe that this response is unfair because I believe that [redacted]’s should be accountable for the quality of their data that they provide to customers. We feel that it is not our responsibility to safeguard the quality of the data that issold to clients via downloads. I would like a written statement explaining your company's position and proof that it is a quality service and what you will do about my complaint, and not merely the mention of a contract.I look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible to resolve this problem. We keep our position of a refund for last month’s charge and insist on the permanent cancellation of the contract.

Review: After a brief discussion with Michael [redacted], salesman regarding the Confident Company, Mr. [redacted] told me that he would email info about this company and it was free and if I wanted 5 more it would be $100. However, shortly after, Mr. [redacted] emailed me a bill for $540. I responded by email 7/2/14 and 7/10/14 to this bill and told Mr. [redacted] that I would not have ever agreed to $540 since we are a new school and dont have that much money to use. In addition, we do not have a written agreement. I emailed him and called him but he did not respond. I then spoke to Mr. [redacted] and told him about the unethical sales practices of Mr. [redacted]. He told me he would check it and get back to me but he didnt. I called Mr. [redacted] and he hung up on me. I then emailed Mr [redacted]. EMAIL CORRESPONDENCE 8/8/14 Dear Mr [redacted] and Mr. [redacted], (I addressed it to both Mr. [redacted] and Mr [redacted] because Mr [redacted] did not return my phone calls nor emails). Thank you for hanging up on me (Mr. [redacted])

The invoice for $540 is in error I do not want any services from Dunn & Bradstreet for $540. I did not agree to pay $540 orally or in writing. Please cancel whatever this was/is for. This is a very deceitful method of doing business. Mr. [redacted] still has not responded to my emails or phone calls. I will report this dishonesty to the Revdex.com, Consumer Affairs ,Ethiosphere and Bob Carrigan.

Thank you for your consideration. Linda DAgostino I DID NOT RECEIVE ANY SERVICES BUT BILLED FOR $565

Dunn and Bradstreet sales associates practice unauthorized agreements , dishonest sales tactics, unethical practices and cheating. This is a disgrace to American business ethics and good works.Desired Settlement: Remove illegal unethical charge of $565 and remove from collections. I did not agree and did not receive any services that warrant $565

Upon receipt of this complaint, I asked Michael [redacted]’s supervisor, [redacted], to review and advise.Ms. [redacted] recalls dealing with a similar request from this business in July 2014. In July 2014, Ms. Jacobs listened to the phone call between Ms. [redacted] and Mr. [redacted] from May 7th. Her findings were as follows:·It was a 37 minute phone call·Approximately 11 minutes into the call, Mr. [redacted] informed Ms. [redacted] that she would be getting 5 reports instead of the 1 and she said “I guess that sounds better.”·He then reiterated at approximately 17 minutes into the call that “For the 5 pack you’ll get an invoice.” which she then agreed to.·He then said at approximately 36 minutes into the call (twice) that “you have 5 of them, I’m giving you this one for free”, to which she responded “You’re an angel.”·He spent over 20 minutes walking her through one report and by the sound of the phone call she was extremely pleased.·He also told her for her next reports that she could call him when she pulled them and he would walk her through.Based on these findings, as well as a fully executed request, we will not be removing the charges and expect payment of the $565.

Review: I was given my Dunns business file number on july 26th. The number is [redacted].

I told the guy who set up my file my Home address is [redacted] and my MAILING address is [redacted]. As of Aug 3rd I am locked out of iupdate.dnb.com because they have my physical address at PMB box! This is incorrect. I have made 16 phone calls to fix this and no one will fix it and I continue to be locked out. I spoke to [redacted] as she called ME today and she said unless I paid $99 a month I couldn't get it fixed! This is extortion. We have several emails exchanged and then said after I did not want to purchase anything that sorry she couldn't get access to it. I need my file unlocked and the correct information reporting on my file for my creditors to see. Thank you [redacted]Desired Settlement: I want my file unlocked and access to my report and my address to be corrected asap. I don't think this is too much to ask as my main supplier from NJ whom we purchase our linens from ships to UPS store and is well aware of it being one as he has one too. If he does not have a problem DNB should not and should not have a problem correcting my physical address.

In regards to Mr. [redacted]'s conversation with [redacted], a check with our records shows that D&B does not employ a person named [redacted]. Nor do we charge fees to subject companies related to their own reports. My speculation is that Mr. [redacted] was speaking with Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corporation (DBCC). D&B and DBCC are two separate and unrelated businesses. In regards to Mr. [redacted]'s request to have the file unlocked, we cannot oblige that request. In previous communications, management submitted information to D&B indicating that [redacted] started in 2013 and operates as a home furnishings retailer with [redacted] listed as owner. Management indicated that the company has five employees and operates from a rented, 1,100 square foot facility at [redacted]. Management provided a business phone number of ###-###-####. On July 29, 2014, a check with the City of [redacted] revealed no evidence of an active business license on file for[redacted]. A business license was issued to the business in 2011 listing [redacted] as owner and [redacted],[redacted] as the operating address for the business. This license is no longer valid. D&B receives over 600 million payment experiences each year through its voluntary trade tape program. We enter these new and updated experiences into D&B Reports as this information is received. At this time, none of those experiences relate to this company. Additionally, a check with the D&B historical database revealed that the report for [redacted] was created on July 24, 2014 at the request of management. Operations prior to 2014 could not be verified through any third-party sources and as a result, 2014 will be reported as the business start date. On July 29, 2014, sources revealed that [redacted], is a mail drop location. A reverse look-up revealed that the reported phone number is registered to the business at the reported address as of July 24, 2014. As a matter of interest, [redacted] is also listed as principal in [redacted] Columbia, SC, [redacted] which appears to have discontinued operations with unpaid debt. This includes unpaid and past due amounts totaling approximately $196,000. It is also noted that [redacted] is also listed as principal in New Images, [redacted], [redacted], DUNS# [redacted] which appears to have discontinued operations with past due amounts totaling approximately $10,000.Due to the discrepancies listed above, financial and credit information will be withheld and the iUpdate access will remain locked. If Mr. [redacted] needs to discuss this further, please call ###-###-####.

Review: I converted my business from an LLC to an SCorp in February of 2014. I noticed that my iupdate Dun & Bradstreet account, as of October 2015, still had my 'llc' email address attached. I have sent numerous emails, made numerous phone calls, submitted notarized confirmation to this company to no avail. I am still unable to update my email information. It's ridiculous that a company who controls your business credit information is so incompetent that they are unable to update an email address??? I want them to do what they promised - update the email address on my account.Desired Settlement: I want my user id updated from [redacted] to [redacted]. The LLC address is no longer an accurate email and does not reflect the current status of my business.

Review: Sales person sold me their services for my company so that I could insert credit references and update company information for my company's credit report in their database. At first they put the services under the wrong company name, then I had to spend and hour on the phone with them getting that fixed. Once I was able to log into the correct company and enter credit references, the website would only allow me to access the information for the first company they mistakenly put the services on in the first place, and I couldn't update my information. I called them back and had them correct the information over the phone, which took another hour. I submitted my first credit reference to them and it was rejected because either DnB or my reference didn't want to deal with the other. Either way, I've paid this company thousands of dollars for them to send out incorrect credit information to my creditors and customers that makes my company look bad, and they told my office manager (after being on the phone for over an hour) they want us to pay another $1,000 today for them to fix it all (and by fix it, they mean give us the access to fix it ourselves, which is what I was unable to do in the first place because of their incompetence). This company is a scam, and provides services with very VERY low credibility. They are essentially a monopoly in their industry and may have been a decent company at one time, but they clearly don't care about the people that pay for their "services", and are just there to collect a check at this point.Desired Settlement: I would like for my account to be credited for the services that were not delivered. I would like the future services for which I have already paid to be transferred to the correct company name at no additional charge. I would like to actually be able to access the correct company account that needs to have the credit information updated. I would like someone to call me personally and apologize for how rude, uncooperative, and incompetent their employees have been through this process.

Review: I received an unsolicited letter stating that a line of credit of up to $250,000 had been opened in the name of a business unknown to me, my name or address. The business was "[redacted]" from San Diego and on the back it stated it got my information from Dun & Bradstreet. I am on a permanent no financial solicitations list with the federal and state governments nor have I solicited for any information or have a business in my name. Lastly, please note that they are using the Revdex.com logo in this solicitation.Desired Settlement: I want my personal and any falsified company information deleted from this company's files along with a promise that I will never be contacted again and that no pre-approved credit lines be opened in my name or the name of my business.

Response:

D&B maintains a database of information records on companies around the world. In searching this database, in response to this complaint, I found no D&B record on Mr. [redacted]. This is not surprising, since he does not have a business. Therefore, [redacted] must have received Mr. [redacted] information from a source other than D&B.

Review: Dun & Bradstreet provides [redacted] numbers. [redacted] numbers are required to 'do business' with the government, including as a grantee. Our organization went through the process to obtain a [redacted] number with no issues. However, a week or so after completing this process, we received multiple phone calls (voicemails) from a man purporting to be from Dun & Bradstreet. He did not mention that he was actually from a subsidiary of Dun & Bradstreet, even when I called him to ask questions about the purpose of his call. I had to call the customer service line for the headquarters in order to find out that this was not a true 'scam,' but in fact that DUN & BRADSTREET RELEASES YOUR INFORMATION (DUNS number, contact information) to their subsidiaries to try to sell you services. This violation of privacy is not clearly spelled out in their registration process (a process that you must go through to get the DUNS number you need to do business with the government).

Dun & Bradstreet is engaging in unethical business practices by releasing personal/company information without clearly detailing this AND not giving organizations the opportunity to clearly 'opt out' of getting on their marketing list. This is disgusting and the U.S. Government should reconsider using DUNS numbers for this purpose alone.Desired Settlement: Dun & Bradstreet needs to modify their terms and conditions so that organizations registering for a DUNS number are able to do the following:

- OPT OUT of information sharing for marketing purposes or any purposes not directly related to the purpose for which they are registering

- Make it clearly apparent how existing registered organizations can remove their information from the marketing database

RE: Revdex.com-ID[redacted]

[redacted] MD 20876 Dun & Bradstreet’s policy does use our Duns numbers for business decisions and marketing. The information on our database is used for commercial businessreporting we do not use personal information. We do provide an opt out service on our main page, [redacted] under communication preferences. You can go directly to that page: [redacted] The customer did not reference their business or Duns number on this message. If they would like further assistance in having their information removed from marketing lists and do not want to fill out information on line they can contact our third party line to request this by calling ###-###-####.Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this complaint. Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

The respondent notes that they offer an opt-out option. I called Dun & Bradstreet with this complaint (thinking I was being scammed because of the marketing calls I was getting) and was presented with this option to opt-out in a phone call on 7/28/15 at 2:19 pm. I was assured this was changed so that my organization would not receive any calls or emails about marketing services. However, I have received a voicemail from the company AGAIN since that date. Clearly the company has no problem with continuing to harass and exploit nonprofit information.

Review: I am contacting you as a very dissatisfied customer with you company services. I recently disputed the "amount owed" on 3 of my trades on my credibility report and as a result all 3 trade experiences have been deleted from my report. That couldn't be further from the action that I wanted taken, especially considering that it took about 6-9 just to have d&b finally report those trades. It's seems like an honest mistake on your part and I've since been trying to contact representatives to have the information out back on my report to no avail. I am constantly referred to the baseline customer service agent who then tells me there's nothing they can go about it. I have spoke with representatives from both dandb and the credibility corp ([redacted], and **) who've all transferred me back and forth with each person blaming the other. I'm tired of being bounced back and forth and am demanding results!Desired Settlement: I would like to have this settled immediately by having my trades put back onto my credit report. I can be reached via cell at ###-###-####. Thank you. My duns #

As requested, the payment experiences have been added back to the D&B report on [redacted] under DUNS [redacted].

Review: My personal information is included in the DnB database as a business. I have called and emailed about it on 19 May and they told me that they will remove this information. I asked about it on 11 June and I was told that it takes up to 30 days for information to be removed. As of 30 July this has still not been removed. The iupdate feature does not allow removal only updating to new information and in it is a note saying they contacted the Secretary of State of and found no business registered under this name (which is correct). I do not understand why I am still listed. I still show up in [redacted] and other information sharing sites as being a business at my home address as a result of this.Desired Settlement: Removal of my information from the database as I asked originally and was told it was completed almost two months ago.

Review: I have not requested nor wanted the service of D&B. A phone call was made to me asking for my business to join. They stated the benefits of their company when applying for credit. I informed them I was a cash business and did not want their service. D&B on their own issued a Dun number and D&B Compliance performed their credit check. The information about my business was incorrect. [redacted] is a privately held company. We have no credit obligation and operate on a cash basis. There is no Experian, Transunion or Experian credit report on my company. There are no creditors or vendors. Somehow D&B in their report has been able to create a credit profile of my company that is poor at best.Desired Settlement: I am requesting D&B to remove there Dunn Number, take me off their list and not contact me at all. I would like D&B Compliance to remove all credit information associated with the Dun Number, remove me from their list and do not contact me in any form. [redacted] has suffered with potential loss of new customers due to their false poor credit rating.

Please note that I have received the request in regards Saba Consultants Group (Duns #[redacted])

to have their information deleted from Dun & Bradstreet’s (D&B)

Response:

[redacted] did not request nor wants to be part of D&B and has asked to be removed from your list. The date about my company is false. I challenge you to find one credit card or any request from any of “your members”. I have not applied for credit and as I explained to your service department have no desire.

Per your statement the information used to make a poor credit decision about [redacted] came from a company that reports commercial activity and was confirmed by a second source. [redacted] has not engaged in any commercial activity. Either your source is wrong or you willfully used false information about my company to create a negative financial profile. The “proprietary predictive analytics” took false information and in its transformation did more damage to my business. The false impress on my business has created a profile that potential customers would not do want to do business with my company. This has caused a loss to my business because of your negligence.

Please note I believe that you have entered false information about my company. [redacted] does not have creditors, never applied for credit and run a private business operating on cash. To remedy this solution provide collected information about my company that lead to this decision. Name the vendors and poor credit payment history you used to make your credit rating decision. If the information can be verified then the credit rating can stand. If you cannot verify and validate the information remove [redacted] from your data base. Refusing to do so will require me to take additional action against D&B.

Best regards,
