Earnin Reviews (%countItem)

Earnin deducted money from my account before my payday resulting in fees. Despite contacting customer service before my payday with pay stub.
I contacted Earnin to inform them that my payday was going to happen on a holiday and to not debit money from my account early as this has happened before. I was informed that there was nothing they could do about it very rudely. I asked for them to provide me in writing their policy and the customer service representative just stated it was "implied." I have since gotten 3 overdraft fees and have been bounced around from customer service rep to customer service rep each one either not responding or never addressing issues that I bring up.

It's unbelievable that I was told that their policies were "implied." That is was a live and learn situation. My payday is the 1st of each month and my account was debited on the 27th making it impossible for me to buy groceries or gas. Then to have a rep tell me that I'll just have to wait until it clears to solve the problem was extremely disheartening. Then when it cleared and I attempted to speak to the business about this they just kept dodging the question and didn't provide any help. I have since requested to close my account.

Desired Outcome

I would like a refund for the three overdraft fees from three of the debits they pulled from my account, I would like for my account to be closed.

Earnin Response • Feb 15, 2019

After reviewing the customer's account and messages, it appears that the pay schedule was initially set up as "Holidays pays before", which is supposed to be set as "Holidays Pays after". Since our system automatically sends out the debit for processing earlier than the actual date, we're unable to process the customer's request in rescheduling our debits. While in contact with the customer, our support team already corrected the pay schedule to make sure this issue won't happen again, and we've also refunded the full amount of overdraft fees last 2/12/19.

This is a great app to have.. Yes they are new so there are still bugs but I borrowed $100 dollars and gave a $14 tip and they considered it a huge tip where as a payday loan will want at least $40-$50 per hundred borrowed I could even give a $2 tip for $100 borrowed so its really a awesome app but you will be irritated about the waiting for bank updates and deposit wait time but only sometime but I understand completely since they Don't charge they cant afford to be burned by people. Im only giving 1 star so this will show up with the negative reviews and people will know the truth some people will talk down on a app that did them a favor multiple times and did it for free don't believe the bad rap it gets it comes in handy a lot I use weekly and I wish they would hurry and send me this $100 so I can go buy stuff that I want now and not next week lol
Sincerely,
***ð??? p.s pls hurry up with lighting speed

I downloaded and used this company's services based on what they offerered, pay day loans with no fees and paybacks when you got paid Was not the case
I downloaded and used this company's services based on what they offerered, pay day loans with no fees and paybacks when you got paid . This Was not the case. When you first download the app they supposedly do thorough research on you and ask you for pay dates. Your online banking information when you get paid and how often you get paid. Well all that info is for nothing. The company claims they will deduct what you borrow on your pay date. Well they deduct it days before. Which causes insufficient funds fees from your bank which they claim they can help you with. But they don't they try and blame you for their mistake and when you ask to speak to a supervisor they never transfer you to someone. You have to contact them through the app only and only through a chat. Which disconnects frequently and then you're there explains your situation again over and over. I was told that they had escalated my issue to a specialist and I've never been contacted by one. No emails or anything I told them all I wanted was for them to stop trying to withdraw early and to stay to my original pay date. But they claim that because of a holiday they have to deduct it early which was never stipulated at the beginning. All I wanted was for them to move my date. I finally spoke to another rep and they said they would. But I got a message hours later from the app saying they would try and deduct the payment again soon. Not following what me and the rep had initially set up. I keep adding fees and I get no help or service from them whatsoever.

Desired Outcome

i want the fees that I accrued due to their mistake from my bank to have credited. And I want them to change my payment days to actual days where I get paid.

Earnin Response • Feb 11, 2019

Our support team was able to adjust the payroll setup to reflect the correct dates, avoiding potential overdraft fees. We've also sent a $29 refund for the overdraft fee she received, and we're awaiting her response back to support.

If I borrow money I pay it back on my paydays they charged me days early and my account is not me negative and they're refusing to fix.
I borrowed 200 and was going to pay back 221 on the 22nd like agreed but they charged my account on the 19 and now I'm 220.81 negative and they're saying they haven't charged me yet that it is just pending well if I'm negative that means I'm charged.

Desired Outcome

Get my money back for now then on agreed upon days I'll be charged not early

Customer Response • Jan 29, 2019

Cancel they fixed it

I got paid on 1/9/19 but Earning took out their funds on the 1/8/19 before I got paid and I incurred an overdraft fee. It is 1/20/19 and nothing.
I submitted all my bank information with Earnin to show proof of my paydates. I get paid on every other Wednesday's. Earnin took out the funds on 1/8/19 before I got paid. I immediately caught the mistake and sent them a screenshot of my bank showing when Earnin took out funds before I got paid. My paycheck being deposited and being charged an overdraft fee because of Earnin. It was taken out in two transaction but my bank only charged me one overdraft fee clearly saying Earnin. One of the customer reps once I started question why it's takimt so long told me that Earnin can't tell if it was caused by first or second Earnin transaction and that's why they are needing to further investigate taking more time. This is a bogus answer because as a company they need to resolve the issue that they caused! It doesn't matter what transaction. It clearly states overdraft fee was caused by Earnin on my bank statement. This happened on January 9th and now it is January 20th and it still hasn't been resolved.

Desired Outcome

I need to be reimbursed an overdraft fee of $25.

Earnin Response • Feb 09, 2019

Our system bases payroll setup on the history of previous direct deposits in a customer's account. We detected ***'s pay dates were every other Tuesday from the history. Her bank instead posted her direct deposit on Wednesday instead of Tuesday, so when our scheduled debits came out on Tuesday this caused an overdraft fee. *** was informed from support she needs to reach out to her bank about this, as to why the date was changed, and since this was on their end, they should be able to refund the fee.

Customer Response • Feb 15, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I do not accept this response because Earnin has caused this and it's a mistake on their part. I should not have to go to my bank and ask them to forgive an overdraft fee that I did not cause. If this issue was caused by me then I would have no problem doing so but because it was not Earnin should be the one to refund me for this error. Earnin should refund this overdraft fee for $25. And from the looks of this, this is fairly common practice to deduct funds before pay date for this company.

Earnin Response • Mar 01, 2019

Upon re-visiting the messages and closely reviewing what happened, we've made the necessary action, and sent out another e-mail to the customer explaining that we've requested a refund manually for the $25 overdraft fee, that should post to her account within the day. We've also let the customer know that she can always reach our support team anytime if she have further questions or concerns.

Earnin owes me $50.00 dollars that I cashed out that they reversed. They are pending to charge me for that money though I never got it.
On 1/18 I cashed out with their lightening speed instant feature TWO $50.00 dollar payments. Within 5 minutes of those requests they showed up on my bank account as pending but I had access to the funds. I also deposited some money myself to cover a negative balance. On 1/18 after the 3 deposits I had a positive balance of $30.44. Overnight ONE Of the $50 dollar payments was reversed and removed from my account. I was then charged a $36 dollar overdraft fee. I contacted Earnin on 1/19 and was told the money would show up on 1/22. I advised it was already there but reversed. I requested a specialist. I was assured my issue would be escalated. I checked in several hours later around 4:00 pm and told it was never escalated. I was assured once again it would be escalated. On February 1st Earnin plans on taking back the money I cashed out, including that $50.00 dollars I do not have. As of today, 1/22 I have still not received any payment of the missing $50.00 dollars or had the $36.00 dollar fee compensated like they promise in their business advertisements. I have contacted several times asking for an update with none given. I have been told there is no timeframe for resolution. There is no ability to even call them. I've offeres bank statements, I've offered to call my bank with them. I've offered to do anything possible to be transparent but they have no interest in making this right. I have lost 86 dollars over this. They have no concern for the customer.

Desired Outcome

I want my missing $50 dollars returned and my 36 dollar fee compensated

Earnin Response • Feb 11, 2019

After reviewing the support tickets and account, we see that the customer's account is now closed. Our support team was in contact with the customer to resolve this issue, however, when one of our specialists requested a bank statement showing the fees in the account so we could refund them on 1/29/19, the customer did not respond. If there's any further assistance she would like with the issue, she can reply back to her support ticket or contact live chat in-app 5am - 5pm PST.

Customer Response • Feb 13, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I submitted my bank statements, proof of charges numerous occasions to multiple reps who each said they would take care of it. Finally, they said a supervisor would get in touch with me but had no timeframe. I used to get immediate responses from customer service but once I made a complaint they muted my ability to talk to a live representative and just said in an auto message to get back to me. After a week I got a response from another customer service rep just asking me for the same pictures and information that I had sent a half a dozen times. I closed my account because it would not let me remove my bank account and I no longer wanted you to have access to my money since you were practicing unethically. You state to contact via chat to resolve this but once you close your account with Earnin you can no reopen (per your notification on the app.) I want anyone who looks up your business on here to see how dishonest and unethical your company is.

Earnin Response • Feb 16, 2019

We're sorry if the customer received a charge in the bank account. But our support tried to contact the customer to fix this issue. Also, Whenever the customer cash out money with Earnin, we'll always debit the money back on their upcoming payday. We do reimburse charges if we post debits on the wrong date, but in this case it looks like our debits posted on the same day as the payday. We're unfortunately unable to reimburse any charges.

Since the account is closed, we highly suggest to reach us through support ticket instead.

The company debited my account early resulting in over draft fees and have not refunded them yet. I have been dealing with this now for 7 days
The company had my payroll deposits screwed up and did not correct in time and their service debited my account early via 2 transactions resulting in 2 over draft fees per their website if they cause overdraft fees they will refund them. A week has gone by now and 3 different people have all asked me for the same info that I have provided even emails from my bank stating their debits over drafted my account still no refund and on last contact was still told they need at least another 48 hours of time to review again

Desired Outcome

Refund me the overdraft fees

Earnin Response • Feb 07, 2019

Our support team was able to fix ***'s account on 1/18/19 to avoid any future overdraft fees. We also sent him a full refund of $72 on 1/18/19 to cover the fees our debits caused. He has since been able to cash out and have his account debited correctly with no issues.

Do not use this. They are information thieves who do not stand behind there product. I tried contacting them and was told my case was closed because I could chat. Tried to chat, was told by the bot to chat in the app which is not an option. Asked repeatedly to have my information purged as this is a SCAM and no response. Stay away from this.

Earnin Response • Jan 21, 2019

We sincerely apologize for the issues Shantel experienced, and have closely looked into what happened. It appears she was able to speak with support via email on 1/17/19 when our chat service was temporarily down. Support tried to resolve her issue since there was a bank error we were receiving blocking us from connecting with her account and completing setup. She then requested for her account to be closed with her information deleted as well. Steps on how to close an account can be found here: https://help.earnin.com/hc/en-us/articles/XXXXXXXXX-How-do-I-close-my-account-.

Regarding our legitimacy, our company is not a scam and we take security and these accusations very seriously. We've maintained an A+ rating with Revdex.com, and a 4.5+ rating on Google Play and the App Store. Our press coverage can also be found here: https://www.earnin.com/press. If any further information or assistance is needed, our specialists can be reached at ***@earnin.com.

Customer Response • Jan 22, 2019

I was referred to the app to close the "account" I can't do anything in said app without reentering my bank information. I have repeatedly asked that my information be purged from their systems and nothing has been done. I would nit recommend anyone get involved with this company.

I cant connect to my bank with no help from customer service
I've had earnin for awhile and recently there's been a connection issue with their 3rd party banking connection company, or so they say. I've emailed and chatted at least 10 times. They told me they have no ETA of resolution and they are going to close my ticket and mark it as solved even though it isn't. This is frustrating as the consumer. They get their money on time whenever I borrow plus tips. If I was to say I have a problem with my bank and I cant pay you back and I don't have an ETA, they would understand my frustration. I've sent in multiple screenshots and all I get back is the same scripted emails and chats. This is frustrating.

Desired Outcome

I want the issue fxed. This is not how a reputible business handles things. Stop lying to the consumer and fix the issues at hand. Its been almost a week and theres no resolution and youre marking my ticketsd as solved.

Earnin Response • Jan 21, 2019

We completely understand ***'s frustration and deeply apologize for the distress. Unfortunately, when there is a bank connection issue and we need to reach our provider, it is essentially in their hands at that point to fix the issue before we can reconnect to the account. Although stating we don't have an estimated ETA isn't ideal, we like to be transparent with our customers as to what's happening with the issue.

After reviewing her support tickets, we see that the bank connection was fixed and reestablished on 1/14/19, and we're waiting for her response back to a message we sent her on 1/17/19.

Early withdrawls causing my account to overdraft and frozen.
This scam company took money out of my account 3 days before my scheduled payday.Which caused me to have 3 returned payment fees from my bank totaling 87 dollars.Ive emailed, and messages for 6 days now and they are ignorning me.My bank account was frozen because of this and ive gone through *** to reopen my account. I want a refund for the 87 dollars ASAP

Desired Outcome

I want my returned for the returned payment fees they charged me before my payday

Earnin Response • Jan 30, 2019

Our support team has reached out to *** regarding the overdraft fees since we see her bank has refunded them. We haven't heard back yet, but we did update her payroll to reflect the correct dates to avoid any future overdraft fees.

Charged my account prior to my payday
I reached out to Earnin on January 3rd to let them know they had my paydate set up wrong no response I reached out again on the 7th sent in paystub on tin paystub on the 9th they informed me it was corrected on the 11th they debited my account causing my account to go into the negative and I received a overdraft fee when my payday is the 15th but they are unable to correct what they messed up so now my checking account is 269.00 in the negative

Desired Outcome

A refunded

Earnin Response • Jan 21, 2019

After reviewing this account and support tickets, we see that her payroll was setup as bi-weekly instead of semi-monthly. Our support team updated this to reflect the correct dates, and we did not issue a refund for the overdraft fee as her bank already refunded it on 1/14/18. We do apologize for the long wait time, we've recently had an increased volume so response times are longer than usual. We're increasing the size of our staff to keep up with demand so we can help our customers quicker. Support can be reached in-app 24/7 if any further assistance is needed.

I was told I would get 50 dollars. Have not recireceit yet I am told 50 will still be withdrawn from my account. I will take legal action if need be.
I cashed out 50 dollars and never received it. I was sent an email saying it was sent to my account and also stated they would withdraw the 50 dollars from my account on 01/11/19. I have not received the 50 dollars yet and am s being told they will be withdrawing 50 dollars. If I do not receive the initial loan before they withdraw money, then that is straight up theft directly from my bank account. If I do not get this resolved I will take legal action against earning.

Desired Outcome

I either need the 50 dollars loan immediately, or I need a refund when they withdraw.

Earnin Response • Jan 21, 2019

After reviewing ***'s account, we see in his bank transactions that he cashed out $50 on 1/5/19 & 1/8/19. It seems there may have been some confusion around the 1/5/19 cash out because it was sent via ACH (standard speed) rather than Lightning Speed as his 1/8/19 credit was sent. The 1/5/19 credit was sent within 1 business day, so it posted to his account on 1/7/19. He can search his online banking transactions and see our credit is titled "Electronic Deposit Earninactivehour", so it did make it to his account successfully, just later than he expected. If he would like any further assistance, our support team can be reached in-app 24/7.

They do not have control of their services, which have caused financial hardships.
This app is for their consumers to receive some of their next paycheck in advance. They are well aware that once you start using this app, even if you need to use it once in an emergency, you then depend on it until you are able to catch up. Needing to continue using it every pay period.

Well first, a couple of weeks ago, my account all of a sudden disconnected and I was unable to do anything for a couple of weeks. I just went without any money at all. Close to overdrawing my bank account. I just kept getting told "specialists were working on it." Meanwhile, I would get an email from my chat conversations that they are just going to mark the issue as solved while they work on it.

Then this last Friday, my employer (Cortland County) has technical difficulties with our payroll. Hundreds of people didn't get their direct deposit in the morning. They corrected it a few hours later and our money was deposited. Well, in the meantime, Earnin took their scheduled deposits from my account overdrafting my account, twice. Ok, no problem. I get that. All of that was taken care of with my bank as they could see and know none of that was my fault. Well because of that, Earnin suspended my account. I contacted them about what had happened. They said they couldn't activate my account again until they got their money. Ok, I get that also. I asked if they could take their money earlier than they were going to, since they rescheduled it until my next payday and my account would be suspended until then. The maximum that I can take out is also based on my credibility and ability to pay them back. It was at $500 per pay period, but because of this misunderstanding I am being punished with a decrease in my maximum to $100. They said once they get their money, they will set my maximum back to $500. Well they got right in there and took their money and will not increase my maximum amount. I contacted them again, and was told that they can't control the system to do that.

They are messing with people's EARNED money. I have also seen numerous similar complaints from MANY, many people.

Desired Outcome

I would like my account opened back up. And if there are overdrafts caused by this, I would like them to also refund me for those.

Earnin Response • Jan 21, 2019

After reviewing ***'s account and support tickets, we see there was some miscommunication. We have since resolved this issue, the account is now fully active, with her max also reinstated to $500 as it was previously. If any further assistance is needed, support can be reached in-app 24/7.

Customer Response • Jan 25, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
They returned my account back to the status it should be. I still accrued unnecessary fees and financial hardships and I am still leery, however, I will give one more chance. Thank you.

Earnin made multiple deductions on my account before my paydate, despite my informing them of the change beforehand, resulting in overdraft fees.
Earnin made multiple deductions on my account before my paydate, despite my informing them of the change beforehand, resulting in overdraft fees. I informed them prior to December 31st, that my paydate would be on January 2nd because of the Holiday. The service agent informed me that they updated my account, and that everything would proceed as normal. On December 31st, they ran the 6 transactions they should've ran on Jan. 2nd, resulting in $175 in overdraft fees. I have spoken to them regarding this issue, resulting in a ticket lasting nine days to this date. I gave them everything they needed, included a detailed letter from the bank explaining that their early charges resulted in the overdraft. The agent informed me over 24 hours ago that my issue would be escalated to a specialist, I waited the normal 24 hours, followed up again, and have not received a response. I have enjoyed using this service, and ensure that I tip them every time I make a transaction from them, and yet they have given me extremely poor customer service in return. It is truly distressing that I have not received any notification from a specialist regarding a refund.

Desired Outcome

I am seeking a refund of the overdraft charges in the amount of $175 as detailed on the letter from my bank.

Earnin Response • Jan 21, 2019

We are truly sorry for the issues, and would like to have resolved this much sooner. We reviewed *** account and support ticket, and see that this issue has been resolved, and we sent a $175 credit back to his account on 1/10/19 for the overdraft fees incurred. We confirmed this credit did successfully post to his account on 1/10/19 and if any further assistance is needed, support can be reached in-app 24/7.

Customer Response • Jan 25, 2019

The vendor has adequately addressed my complaint. I would like to close it.

Earnin billed my account one week earlier than my pay period set up.
Over the December pay period at my work here was the schedule. December 6th receive bonus and vacation pay. December 13th receive two week pay week ending December 9th. December 20th receive one week period ending December 16th. When we returned after vacation we got paid January 3rd recurve two week pay week ending December 30th. The issue with Earnin is I get paid every two weeks normally. This wasn't an issue through the month of December when everything was fluncutating at work. I got paid on January 3rd last meaning I'd get paid again on January 17th. However today on January 10th Earnin cashed out twice from my account when it shouldn't have came out till the 17th. I have images I can include at the end if that option is available. I have spoken with them in the issue and they keep saying it's being sent to their specialist. It's not being handled in a case sensitive way. My account is $-226 now and I have a car to fix this weekend as well as food to buy. I literally cannot way due to this. If these deductions cause a overdraft fee this will make my situation even worse. It wouldn't even be an issue if they had waited till the correct day.

Desired Outcome

The amounts Earnin deducted was one of $103 which will also include a $35 overdraft fee. An amount of $105 was also deducted which will include a separate $35 overdraft fee. And I'm requesting an inconvenience refund as well. There was another $35 overdraft fee as well due to my account being in the negatives already because of them, my insurance bill was auto paid and overdrafted it as well because Earnin put my account in the negatives. It wpulsnt have been an issue if they hadn't put my account in the negatives. I won't get paid for another week and my account is currently $-226. I need new brakes for my car and food for my household. If this hadn't have happened I would have been able to provide for my family. The inconvenience refund I am requesting is $75. The longer they take to get back to us the more inconvenient it is and the more I may request in the inconvenience. They really have put me in a tight spot. In total this is 3 overdraft fees, 2 Earnin early deductions and an inconvenience fee. That totals $388.

Earnin Response • Jan 21, 2019

We carefully checked our accounts and support tickets, and we have no record of an Anna Parris in our system. If there is another name being used for the Earnin account, we would need that in order to proceed with this issue and resolution.

Worst experience ever with a company. This morning my account was debited 4 times for a total of 160.00. I have two checking account, one with chime and one with chase which both get part of my direct deposit from work. The majority of my money accidentally got put in my chime account and only 19.00 got put in my chase. When Earnin debited my chase account for 160.00 which was a minute after my direct deposit went in it put me way in the negative, and not only that, but it was 4 debits from them totaling 160.00 instead of just one debit totaling 160.00 which means I'll have to pay four 35.00 overdraft charges. This is a hole I won't be able to get out of because of this company, and one of their big things is helping people avoid overdraft charges. When I called to tell them what happened they said there is nothing they could do about it, and it's an issue with my payroll. I understand that to a certain extent but why would you put someone's account into the negative, and cause them a financial crisis when what your suppose to be about is the total opposite, and then just blow them off like oh well. I've given this company hundreds of dollars in tips and never had any issues with them other than spending hours waiting on a response from their customer service department and this is how I'm treated. I had no time to resolve the issue, and didn't foresee this coming or I would have called way earlier. But now I'm going to be left with a -300.00 balance because of them and my bills can't get paid. Like I said, this has been the worst company I've ever dealtwith.

Earnin Response • Jan 21, 2019

Unfortunately, we can't control the time of day the bank posts our debits, we can only send for the date to be withdrawn. However, if a customer knows their bank posts their direct deposit later in the day, we can always change the payroll to reflect the next day to avoid any overdraft fees. We do encourage healthy financial behavior and will refund any fees our debits cause if the error was on our end. In this case, the partial direct deposit that should have gone to his Chase account wasn't enough to cover our debits so the issue would either be with his employer's payroll department or his bank, and they may be able to refund the charges incurred.

IM SO *** OFF I EVEN USED THIS APP AT ALL. THEY DEDUCTED $378.00 FROM ME TODAY WHEN I HAVE A 425.25 CAR PAYMENT THATS DUE. IM *** BECAUSE I HAVENT USED THEIR MONEY AT ALL I TOOK MY ACCOUNT OFF FILE AND TOOK MY DEBIT CARD AFTER THEY CHARGED ME THE LAST TIME. IN FACT I THREATENED TO SUE THEM LAST MONTH IM FINALLY TALKING TO A LAWYER IN REGARDS TO EARNIN . THIS APP SHOULD BE CANCELED THEY STOLE FROM ME WHEN I ASKED THEM TO REMOVE MY ACCOUNT AFTER THEY CHARGED ME $400.00 LAST TIME IM DONE YOU MESSED WITH THE WRONG PERSON

Earnin Response • Jan 21, 2019

We reviewed April's account and support tickets and see that she was enrolled in Balance Shield - a feature we offer to customers as a way to avoid overdraft fees. When our system detects the bank balance is under $100, we automatically send $100 to the bank account then debit it back on payday. It seems she was unaware she was enrolled (this is chosen upon signup), causing the confusion. No money was ever stolen from her account, we always sent the money to her account, but then would debit it back on her payday. She has the option in-app to unenroll in Balance Shield at any time, but we went ahead and manually turned this feature off of her account. Here's a link from our Help Center regarding Balance Shield: https://help.earnin.com/hc/en-us/articles/XXXXXXXXX-What-is-Balance-Shield-.

They have committed fraud and tried to steal money from my bank acct.. and I have never used them!
I checked my bank account yesterday morning and there was a debit pending to this company for $104.00. I copied the name from my bank site (CHASE) and googled it to find out what it was all about. I then called my bank to let them know this was a fraudulent charge because I've never had an acct. with them #1 But also this is basically a payday loan company so for them to take out money from my acct. meant they must have put money in which they did NOT. CHASE informed me they have attempted to deduct the money through my debit card, not my checking acct. number so they cancelled the debit card. I then contacted them through a message on their website and FB, you can't call them. I gave them their own authorization # that they had given CHASE for the transaction also. BUT they will not do anything to look into it unless I give them my checking acct. and routing numbers!!! Are you kidding, why would I give them this, they must be CRAZY!!! I told this to CHASE and they said they absolutely do not need these numbers since they never put money into my acct. and it was taken out via the debit card which has since been cancelled. AND they DO KNOW THIS! I told them several times that this is how it was taken out and no money has been deposited from them PLUS I have NEVER EVER signed up for an acct. with them either! I told them to use their authorization # that they gave CHASE for the trans. AND YET THEY WILL DO NOTHING WITHOUT MY CHECKING ACCT. AND ROUTING NUMBERS! SO THEY ARE EITHER REALLY DUMB OR THIEVES AND WANT TO STEAL MORE MONEY FROM ME. They also have since deleted my posts from FB and have blocked me. I'm letting CHASE deal with this now. SO BEWARE OF THIS CROOKED COMPANY!!!

Desired Outcome

I want them to look into it and make sure it never happens again because if there is a next time with my bank acct. I'm going to file charges with the police.

After carefully reviewing *** outreach to support, we were able to determine that a current user of Earnin had a typo on their debit card information, which unfortunately was *** card. Our Senior Support Managers have worked diligently with her to resolve this, and ensure she has the money back in her account along with resolving the issue so this doesn't happen to her, or anyone else moving forward. Security is a high priority, our developers are aware of the situation and we're taking this matter very seriously.

They pulled money too early and caused multiple over draft fees, unwilling to reimburse.
I get paid every two weeks, on Fridays. Reading through Earnins FAQ's and everything they have listed for when debt's are pulled state that they won't be pulled till paycheck is deposited. I would've been paid today, December 28th, 2018 but due to some direct deposit issues I wasn't made aware till the 27th that I was getting a check instead of direct deposit. Earnin pulled the 286 on the 28th hat I owed them, which came through in multiple transactions. I already had pending transactions through my bank that would've went through just fine but due to Earnin pulling out early, claiming they don't see the accounts yet their system takes green shots of everyones account to increase or decrease peoples max payout as well as see pending deposits it was still pulled. I emailed them and they refuse to refund me the 175 dollars in over draft fee's they've caused that has now put me almost 400 dollars negative in my account. Telling me I need to " take it up " with my bank. That since they're able to debt my account on pay day they refuse even though this was their mistake. I believe they're false advertising with what they're offering.

Desired Outcome

All I'm asking of the business is to refund me the over draft charges they've caused, nothing more than that.

After reviewing Stacia's account and support tickets, we do see that she received a paper check instead of direct deposit for her 12/28 pay date. Unfortunately, we would have needed at least 3 days notice for us to reschedule the debits since the files had already been sent to her bank. We did send a $35 refund on 1/2/19 for the overdraft fee our debit caused, however we do not offer refunds for purchases the user makes. Any other fees she received would need to be taken up with either her bank or the merchant.

Earnin debited $160 from my account unauthorized.
I had set up a loan with Earnin for $160. They have on file that I am paid on the 1st and 16th of every month unless it falls on a holiday. On 12/28/18 they debited two transactions of $97 and $63. They were not supposed to take this money out until 12/31/18, which is my payday. I sent them screenshots of my bank statement and pay stub. They refused to refund my money and since they are only reachable via chatroom, they would cut the chat short and log out without addressing any of my concerns.

Desired Outcome

I wish to be refunded the $160 they took out of my account unauthorized.

We reviewed ***'s *** and since 12/15/18 her payroll was set as "Pays every other week on Friday, holidays pay the day before". Our debit dates are visible to the user in-app at anytime, and unfortunately it wasn't till the day of our debits on 12/18/18 when she contacted support about the issue. We would have needed at least 3 days to reschedule our debits since our files are sent to the bank ahead of time with our debit date. Since this was money owed to us, we are unable to send a refund for it, however we will always refund any overdraft fees this would have possibly caused. We see that her account has now been deleted, but if further assistance is needed, she can email *** 24/7 to reach our team.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
This company has very poor customer service. They are only available via chat, and when presented with issues will often cut the chat short, or simply ignore and not respond at all. Their debit dates are not readily accessible in the app, and they are overall a dishonest company. I have deleted my account with them in order to avoid any future problems, and wish for them to delete all of my personal and banking information from their files.

We apologize for the experience that the customer recently had. Our live chat option is available 7 days a week (4:00 am - 12:00 am PT) allowing us to assist customers real-time. After further reviewing previous sessions, we see that our support team explained in-depth what happened in this situation. Debit dates are visible in the calendar feature, where the customers can see their upcoming debits. Also, email notifications are sent to them as a part of the reminder days before the actual debit date. We can also confirm that the customer already decided to remove her bank information from the app, and any outstanding debits won't push through further. If there's anything else we can do to help, she can always reach out to us anytime in-app 24/7 or send an email to
