Thus far this app has been a God sent in comparison to regular payday loan companies. Fast, easy, decent customer service.

We're happy we've been able to help, Rose. Thanks for your feedback!

Thos company is B.S.. I regret using this company and giving them my bank info. I believe this company is a fraud and a ripoff. I wouldn't recommend my worst enemy to use earnin. My first transaction with them went smooth. Now almost a month I'm still trying to get the lightning speed $100 that I was approved for. I have been getting one run around after the next asking for this asking for that when I've given them everything they've asked for. This company is one big joke. I was told to download my timesheet which I did they told me it wasn't acceptable, I explained that my timesheet was done through electronic box we use our thumbprint to sign in and out, earnin had the nerve to tell me to take a picture when I sign in and sign out. ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!!. Not only will my company not allow this but I haven't given you my timesheet already. Now every time I log in it's asking for this or asking for that I'm over Earin.. And the fact that they do not have a live customer service person to talk to doesn't help, You can only reach them by email. REALLY?.

Sometimes, when users clock-in/out even with a fingerprint, the name of the employee is displayed along with the timestamps. This would have allowed us to add Leann's hours. We also have another option called Automagic Earnings, that allows users to have their hours added based off the GPS on their phone when they go to/from work. Our Help Center has more info about our service here: https://help.earnin.com/hc/en-us, and also we now have live chat in-app so you can reach us much quicker.

They attempted to take money out of my account before my payday which caused over $100 in fees.
My paydays are the 10th and 25th. My bank deposits my money the day before. My last payday was on 11/25 which was a Sunday. So I got paid on Friday 11/23. This company attempted to take out the money on 11/21 which caused over $100 in fees from my bank. Per their website, they will refund the fees if you send a screen shot. I did. No response. Then my account was frozen even after they did successfully take the money out, on my payday. I have tried to contact them since Saturday or Sunday and I got one response back saying if my payday lands on a holiday I get paid a day early. That's true, but Friday wasn't a holiday so there's no reason to think I would get paid on 11/21. I immediately wrote back and have received no answer. I have tried *** and *** as well as numerous emails. This is their mistake and I am dealing with severe financial consequences for something that is their fault and could easily be resolved.

Desired Outcome

I want my fees refunded.

Earnin Response • Dec 17, 2018

We sincerely apologize for the delayed response from support, and the hassle this caused ***. During the time she wrote in, our support team had an increased volume of tickets, so response times were longer than usual. However, we see that support got back to her, and on 11/30/2018 we issued a full refund for the overdraft fees, and updated her payroll setup to avoid any issues in the future. After we let her know about the refund and fix, she then thanked support for the assistance and for resolving her issue.

I used Earnin' one time only. When I signed up for my account, my payday was posted as Thursday, rather than Friday. I brought this to the attention of customer service, and they stated, very nicely, that they are not changing my pay date.

Sure enough, Thursday comes, and the money is taken out, and my account is overdrawn. Of course, I was charged a fee from my bank. When I approached customer service about it, it took them days to even respond, citing only that they can change my payday if I sent them bank transactions, not even responding to my complaint about not listening in the first place. There was no accountability here.

Earnin Response • Dec 11, 2018

When users sign up for the app, our system automatically detects the pay dates based on the pattern of direct deposits in a users account. Some banks do post 1-2 days earlier than the user's actual pay date they see on their paystub. So, if we see that someone is being paid a day or two earlier regularly, the pay dates are set to match when it's actually depositing to the user's account. However, we understand sometimes banks don't always post early and if this is the case, we recommend users reach out to support so we can change this to avoid any overdraft fees. We see that support was able to fix Joseph's account, and issue a refund for the overdraft fee. Joseph then thanked support for the help and understanding.

Customer Service does not aide their customers
I successfully set up my account on a friday, and on sunday someone reset my account. This reset has prevented me from using the app, I am no longer able to cash out. I contacted customer service over three days ago and have not received any sort of response. This is concerning, considering I've provided all the needed personal/confidential information to setup services. Not a good first impression, and I've been a customer for less than a week.

Desired Outcome

I would like customer service to respond to my inquiries

Earnin Response • Dec 12, 2018

account was fully active, she had just reached her pay period max meaning she isn't able to cash out again until after her next payday once we debit the money back. We do apologize for the delayed response from support, as we've recently had an increased volume of tickets due to growth. We're rapidly hiring more staff to provide quicker service, so repsonse times will be back to normal shortly.

Customer Response • Dec 14, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
This is not true. When my next pay period came I was still not able to cash out my $200 max. Instead the app kept asking for a screenshot of my bank transactions. This step was completed when I initially setup my account. So my account was not fully active, if I'm being asked to resubmit information.

Complaint Response Date bumped because: Holiday

Earnin Response • Dec 27, 2018

Since we don't have a live bank connection, we don't receive updates instantly. So, even though the debits have been paid back, if we haven't yet gotten the updates from your bank, the Earnin account will still show as having met your pay period max and users will see the "send us a screenshot of your bank transactions" screen. It is common for users to experience this, and we know it can be a pain to wait. This is why we allow users to send in screenshots to support showing their direct deposit, and our debits on payday so we can manually update this, which lets users cash out much quicker. We hope this clears up any confusion, and if there are any further questions about our service support can be reached 24/7, or you can visit our Help Center here: ***.

Company guaranteed funds within a few minutes of initiating a cash out, never received funds and cash out was withdrawn.
Initiated a cash out for $50 on 11/17 via Lightning Speed. Funds were not instantly credited as per their claim. A "Balance Shield" overdraft protection was then initiated on 11/20. Those funds were never credited, either. As per their terms, the $150 plus an additional $14 service tip, were then withdrawn from my account after my pay day, despite never having received the initial cash out funds. Another $100 was then cashed out via the app on 11/23. An inquiry was then made via contact form on the app on 11/22 and I was put in to contact with *** a customer service agent. I was adviced to get in touch with my bank, as they confirmed the credits were successfully transferred to my account. My bank then confirmed that no such credits existed, but the withdrawals went through. *** then advised me to contact my bank again to see if the credits went through a different channel (ATM/debit card vs. ACH/routing number). My bank confirmed again that no such credits exsisted. After responding negatively to a customer experience survey on 11/25, I was contacted by an account agent named ***. She asked me to provide screen shots of my account for proof that the credits never made it. She then said she would put me in touch with a financial team. Followed up on 11/26, and she said the financial team confirmed the credits transferred successfully they had not. Then, on 11/27 she said she was going to get in touch with the developers to see if something had gone wrong on the technical end of things. I followed up with her today, 11/28, and am still awaiting a response as well as the missing $164, and a void on the pending $100. I am still currently missing that much money, and am unable to close my account via the app due to the pending funds. Frustrated by the slow and indirect service despite how quickly the money was withdrawn from my account.

Desired Outcome

Seeking a prompt refund of $164, a void on the pending $100, and to delete my account.

Earnin Response • Dec 12, 2018

issue was reviewed by our specialists, and on 11/28/18 we sent a $250 credit to her bank account. She has confirmed she's received the money, and thanked support for the help.

105.00 was taken from my bank account even though I never received any funds. Sent a screenshot of my account activities 3 times; no resolve.
Requested a $100.00 advance 11/9/18. Was told that it would be in my account by 11/12/18. I never received funds. On my payday, 11/15/18 Earnin took 105.00 dollars out of my account. I explained this to Earnin, they requested a screenshot of my bank statement; reflecting activities on 11/8-11/15/18. I supplied the screenshot only to be told to send a screenshot again and then again. I have requested a refund several times, no one addressing concerns.

Desired Outcome

I want 105.00 put back in my account

Earnin Response • Dec 03, 2018

used a debit card in the app that wasn't linked with her checking account we had on file for her. This resulted in the money being sent to the debit card linked with another bank account she has. This is a rare occurrence that our system normally does not allow to happen. We've provided her proof of the transaction posting to the other bank account on 11/9/18, and removed her card info to avoid this issue happening again. We let all users know they must use the debit card linked with the checking account they use with us in order to send and debit the money to the correct account.

This app has gone into my account and taken $45 for no reason at all.
I downloaded the Earnin app today which claims to give you a loan. I never requested any money or received any money. They simply went into my account and took out $45 with no authorization!

Desired Outcome

My money returned immediately

Earnin Response • Dec 03, 2018

We have no history of debiting anything (other than our $0.10 test debit) from *** bank account, as she never cashed out. What shows on our end is the debit and credit verification that we do during all account setups to verify the account. We see we sent her an $0.11 credit and a $0.10 debit on 11/2/18, and when giving this information to *** from support, she never replied back. *** would need to reply back to support showing proof of a $45 debit in her account from us in order to further investigate.

Customer Response • Dec 06, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
There was a misunderstanding, Earnin rep reached out to me and my bank explained to me what the debit transaction was about. My apologies to the app/company. Thank you Revdex.com for looking into this matter and following up with me.

They took what I owed too early and I was charged $144 of overdraft fees because of it. They wont contact me.
I used their services on or around the 16th of November (11/16/2018). They were aware of my pay dates on the the 7th and 22nd of every month. They took the money out on the 21st. They took what I owed in two transactions, so the first overdraft fees came in two. I received two more overdraft fees after being 48hrs delinquent. Carmela was the CSR I spoke to.

Desired Outcome

I want them to pay the 4 overdraft fees they caused.

Earnin Response • Dec 03, 2018

's payroll setup did reflect the 7th and 22nd of each month, however we had it in our system that on holidays, he is to be debited the day before. This is what caused the issue in him being debited earlier than he expected due to the bank holiday (Thanksgiving). Our support team updated his payroll so he's debited the day after a holiday, along with issuing a refund for the overdraft fees.

Customer Response • Dec 05, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Because they only paid for two overdraft fees. The bank took care of one. That leaves them responsible for another overdraft fee.

Earnin Response • Dec 17, 2018

There was a misunderstanding on our end, and we've just issued a $36 credit to ***'s bank account for the third overdraft fee he received. A new support ticket was also created to inform *** about our credit, and if he has any further questions, he can reach support 24/7.

Customer Response • Dec 20, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I am glad that they finally paid for the overdraft fees they were responsible for, however I am very unsatisfied with how long it took. From beginning to end, 2 months. 2 months for them to fix this, and only after I filed a complaint with the Revdex.com. I didnt want to. I believe firmly in small business, but more so proper customer service. I know Earnin can be a great company. I just hope they learned a valuable lesson from this whole ordeal.

Unauthorized debit of payment to be made on the following day as well as not paying a debit that they collected.
this company debited my account $513 that was supposed to be debited on November 23rd they debited on November 22nd. According to their pay day calendar on their app and according to many screenshots that I have of the explanations the amount was supposed to be debited on November 23rd. Several emails have been sent to the company with no response period a previous incident on October 19th where money sent to my account was never posted was never resolved after many e-mails back and forth as well as with the bank the issue was never resolved the money was never put in the bank and this company keeps asking for screenshots of people's bank accounts with banks clearly state to not take screenshots of the bank accounts they strongly advise against it because of fraud. The app will not help you unless you send them a screenshot of your bank account as well as the last 4 digits of your bank account this is all information that they should have in their system. I have tried many times to reach out to them you have to wait several days for any type of responses.

Desired Outcome

I would like them to resolve the charge of the hundred dollars from October 19th I would also like them to explain why the money was taken out of my account a day early when my payday is always the same it never changes regardless of holiday and according to their app it says it as well. I would like any overdraft fees incurred with my *** to be paid off by this business as they are the ones that made me and *** charge due to their error.

Earnin Response • Dec 03, 2018

Due to our recent increased volume of tickets, unfortunately, our response times are delayed. We are currently expanding our support team, along with decreasing the response time back to normal. After reviewing *** account, we do see on our end we debited his account on his normal payday every Friday which was 11/23/2018. If he is seeing something different on his end, he would need to send us a screenshot of his bank transactions so we can further investigate. The screenshots would only need to show our debits, the dates, and last 4 of the account number - all other information can be blocked out if the user wishes to do so. If he'd like to speak with one of our specialists, he can send an email to *** for help so we can make sure this is sorted out.

Used Earning. Asked company 2 days beforehand of due date to delay payment due to no money in account. Company deducted money anyways causing overdraf
Earning is a scam. They will cause you more in fees than actual product. You can never speak to anyone to address concerns issues. Late response times. Just a overall hassle.

Desired Outcome

My over draft fees occurred from their rush to payment

Earnin Response • Dec 03, 2018

On 11/22/2018 at 7:59 AM EST *** submitted a ticket to support requesting to reschedule our upcoming debit (due to be debited on 11/23/18) to instead be debited on her following payday, 12/9/2018. We do offer users to reschedule once as a courtesy, however we must have at least a 2 day notice for reschedule, otherwise our debit file is already sent to the bank where we're then unable to reschedule it. Attached is the proof of her initial support ticket request for the reschedule.

Customer Response • Dec 07, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Lies and more lies. Period. To all people, Earnin is a scam. They will take money, over draft your account, a number of things. Don't use it don't trust it. Uninstall it ASAP.

Earnin Response • Dec 20, 2018

We attached the support ticket with dates and timestamps in our previous reply showing her request wasn't at least 2 days before the debit date, so we're unsure why *** is stating our reply is untrue. We'd be happy to speak about this further and clear any confusion. Our specialists can be reached for assistance by emailing ***.

Customer Response • Dec 24, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Earnin is a joke. Ok. Attach what you want but again you CANNOT attach or overlook the fact thst your company was asked to delay payment. Delay yet you all are so overzealous to repayment that you disregarded my request and five into my account causing overdraft fees unnecessarily. Secondly yes you responded AFTER THE FACT but not since then when asked about my fees at my bank or anytime since then. *** Earnin. Your company is a hindrance. I will tell anyone and everyone. Might not make a difference but you guys are a scam. You CANNOT ever speak to a live person. Response time horrendous. Company bogus. Period.

Poor customer service
Every time I try to cash out I'm met with having to contact Earnin customer support. This week, I tried cashing out and it's unavailable. I contacted customer service and was speaking with a woman who fixed the problem, but then another came up making it still unavailable for me to cash out. I messaged her back saying I still need assistance, and I got no response. I messaged her well over 10 times with no response. I started a new ticket in order to get some assistance, and no response. Now I have contacted earnin well over 25 times and I have yet to get a response. They say customer support should respond in 24-48 hours because they're available 24/7, it's been well over 48 hours. I've contacted earnin through ***, online, through the app, and through email. They have yet to get back to me. The problem with my account is that my bank hasn't sent them my updated transactions, but they are able to see my account transactions as they come, because the second my direct deposit comes into my account they withdrawal money. I need gas, and I've been having so much trouble with this app the past few times I tried cashing out. All I want is reliable customer service, and someone to get back to me within the time frame that I was given. I think Earnin is a great app, but needs a better customer service team and a phone number to call so we can get things done in our time, not their time. In the customer service world employees are always working on the customers time because they're the ones working.

Desired Outcome

I just want a customer service associate to get back to me. I suggest they get a better customer service team all together.

Earnin Response • Dec 03, 2018

We agree that our response times aren't where we'd like them to be at the moment, and we're actively working on fixing this as quickly as possible. Due to the recent increased volume of tickets, response times are delayed longer than normal. We reviewed *** tickets and see our support team has been working with her, and we haven't heard back from her since last Friday, 11/30/2018. If any further assistance is needed, she would just need to reply, or submit another ticket anytime.

Customer Response • Dec 07, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)

If I could rate this company a negative it would be a -5. The absolute worst.... My experience has been nothing but a nightmare. This company set up my account fairly quickly. I borrowed money. And when they pulled their dues out the first time it overdrafted my account 70 dillars because they pulled out their dudes a day before I got paid. Naturally I was furious but thought I had it resolved. However when I borrowed a second time they pulled their dues two days before I got paid causing me another 70 in overdraft fees. They sent me an email on Monday around 10am (before the second service of overdraft fees I incurred) then at 5:34am on Tuesday. (Less than 24 hours later) they changed it back to the incorrect day. They said they fixed it going forward but was still going to pull the dues out Wed (2 days before I get paid)... This company is full of nothing but CROOKS.... between the backwards way they do their consumers to their shotty customer service... Absolute worst...

Earnin Response • Dec 03, 2018

Our system automatically determines a user's pay dates based off of prior direct deposit history. However, sometimes banks don't always post checks early, and will post them on the user's actual pay date reflected on their paystub. This is what caused the issue Misti encountered, which has since been permanently fixed, along with refunding the overdraft fees that posted back to her account on 11/23/18.

Overdraft my account and customer service won't respond
I've been using the app for a couple of months they loan you money you pay it back it worked fine up until today when they took money out of my account before my payday... they overdrafted my account over $100 and will not respond to me at all. I'm now almost $300 negative in my account so when my check hits I will have barely anything in my account for bills let alone thanksgiving dinner as if the hurricane wasn't bad enough now I'm being hit with this... the only way to contact them is through ***, ***, and email there is no way to directly talk to them. I've reached out all morning with only a half response for *** and I just want my money back and my overdraft fees paid.. I'm a definitely an upset customer and don't think I'll be using them anymore at all

Desired Outcome

I want my account reimbursement for the three over draft fees of $35 added to my account and the money borrowed to be fixed as well... my account should not be in the negative because of an app...

Earnin Response • Dec 03, 2018

payroll setup was "Pays every other week on Thursday. Holidays always pay the day before." which caused us to debit her account a day earlier than normal due to the bank holiday (Thanksgiving). However, her payroll setup has been updated to reflect that she gets paid the day after holidays to avoid this issue moving forward. We've also sent her a full refund totaling $105 for the overdraft fees she receive that posted to her bank account on 11/22/2018.

Earnin is advertised as no interest, no hidden fees and a payday advance. You are asked to provide your checking account information and work information with direct deposit so that you can borrow money from your next paycheck. The APP promises that it will not collect anything beyond what you borrowed and if you want to tip, you can at no set amount. Earnin will collect the money back on your payday, all sounds great...however what they don't tell you is that if you are paid on the 19th through direct deposit and it is a Monday, they will debit your account on Saturday the 17th whether or not you have the funds available! You then have to research contact information which ends up being an email address and wait for a response at which time you are asked to send a screenshot of your account to prove that your account was debited or overdrafted. It takes hours for a response and the response is pretty generic, pretty confident it's automated. They will go back and forth with you asking for the same information from you, until you are convinced they are gaslighting you or running out the clock to make it until Monday when in fact you are paid. All of this means you will not get your money back and in the end they will tell you that they are going to keep your account set up the same with no resolve. If you are using a this app you are more than likely working paycheck to paycheck, Earnin does not care that for 2-3 days you may have budgeted yourself for $50 for gas and food until payday, they will debit the amount you borrowed and tell you that it is pending until payday and didn't process so your negative balance of $200 really doesn't count!
I had the app for one month, it happened to me the first time and I wrote in and they apologized and said they'd fix it so I thought it was an error I had made. No, it's the set up with system, I am inclined to believe that they get paid a percentage in overdraft fees by banking institutions. I was told this time that they aren't changing it.

Desired Outcome

Billing Adjustment I would like $60 in overdraft fees back, the $200 I borrowed back because I had such stress and anxiety about how to get to work because I didn't have money for gas and i work weekends, and commute 120 miles in 2 days! This website/app should be shut down along with all other payday advance businesses.

Earnin Response • Dec 03, 2018

We have no way of debiting a users account over weekends or holidays since banks are closed, and files aren't processed. (11/17/2018 is a Saturday) On our end, we see that we did debit *** account the same day her direct deposit posted, 11/19/2018. However, her bank had our upcoming debits as pending, and was actually taking from her available balance. In this case, *** would need to speak with her bank about why her bank is placing the upcoming debits as pending along with why they're taking it from her bank balance, and to refund her overdraft fees. This issue is strictly on the way her bank has processed it, and any resolution would be on their end.

DO NOT USE THEM. I signed up and was approved for $100 which they promised would be in my account by Sunday (last night). Of course it was not deposited. When I questioned this I was told that they could not connect with my bank. Citibank assured me that nobody has tried to make a deposit. I was told my earnin customer service that my checking account would be debited on Wednesday even though I never received their deposit. This is a rip off. Customer service can only by contacted thru email and you will NOT get a satisfactory answer from them. I am planning on using a lawyer if they debit my account. Very bad experience. Nothing but crooks They won't follow through on their promise of a deposit but they will most definitely debit your account for money you never receive in the first place. RIP OFF

Earnin Response • Dec 03, 2018

Since Leigh didn't have Lightning Speed enabled on his account yet, his cash out from 11/17/2018 was sent at standard speed. With standard speed, cash outs are sent the next business day. With 11/17/2018 being on the weekend, the money wasn't scheduled to post to his account until Monday, 11/19/2018 in the evening. The arrival times of standard speed cashouts can be viewed from our Help Center here: https://help.earnin.com/hc/en-us/articles/XXXXXXXXX-How-long-does-it-take-to-get-my-money-. We see that Leigh did receive his money on 11/19/2018 in the evening, and now he's enrolled in Lightning Speed, all cash outs will now be sent instantly, even on holidays and weekends.

Customer Response • Dec 03, 2018

I appreciate the clarification and the satisfactory resolution to the problem.

Thank you, Leigh! We appreciate your feedback, and we're glad we could help. By the way, we also just launched live chat in-app, so if you need anything you can reach us much faster now!

Earning debited my account on November 16 2018 but suddenly began having some type of *** error 2 days before that not allowing me access into the app
Earning debited my account on November 16th 2018 the amount of $667 which is the amount that I owe them on my payday which was that day but two days prior to that I received an error message that I needed to update my login password and login name for my financial institution which I did immediately but for some reason the application was not accepting it. I already contacted my financial institution and confirm that I was actually given the correct login name and password but for some reason now earning app is giving a error *** code that States they're supposedly working on the application and this message began two days before they took money out of my account funny thing is how is it that they're able to get money out of my account on theday prompted but not be functioning 2 days before there's something fishy going on with this company. I have emailed them over 10 times in the last 3 days about this issue and and to give me some type of guidance to be able to log into the app. The funny thing is before I mentioned the error code *** via email to the customer service agents they always responded within hours now because I mentioned this error code nothing but silence no response from customer service at all as if they know something is wrong or something is going on. It's not right at this business function like this and keep people in the dark

Desired Outcome

I am requesting that someone from customer service with the application earnin contact me immediately in a timely manner that they say. Within a reasonable time frame like 24 hours I say and not keep me in the dark for 3 days I request that they fix the problem and allow me access back into the application and explain what this error *** code is that they keep giving me

Earnin Response • Dec 03, 2018

We normally respond back to users within a day. However, we've recently had an increased volume of tickets, causing response times to be delayed. We're actively working to increase the size of our support team, and bringing response times back down.

After reviewing *** account and support tickets, we see that his account was fixed, and he's able to successfully cash out.

Earning caused 3 overdraft fees after trying my hardest to hav them
Postponed or reverse my draft.
My Draft was changed from every 2 weeks to every Friday and I was never notified. On 11/16/18 I wake up to a negative balance in my account. Earnin sent not 1 but 3 transactions from money I had owed. I explained to *** from earnin and he assured me he can not do anything until the overdraft fees come. Well now they are here and he went from relying every hours to not replying at all. It has been more than 24hrs since I've heard from him. I'm *** single parent with $0 to my name because of Earnin.

Desired Outcome

I want a refund. Just how *** fro earning told me would happen

Earnin Response • Dec 03, 2018

We do reimburse charges if we post debits on the wrong date, but in this case our debits posted on the same day as her payday. We're unfortunately unable to reimburse the overdraft fees for *** since we did not have any notice before our debit files were sent out (must have a 2 day notice). In cases like this, we strongly recommend users reaching out to their bank since the bank charged the fees, and ask if they are willing to reverse them.

Earnin caused my bank account to be charged $116 in overdraft fees. Their guidelines ensure they will resolve this matter, but they refuse to do so.
Between November 1, 2018 and November 14, 2018, I used the Earnin application to get a payday advance totaling $425 including tips. My payday was not scheduled properly. I was supposed to get paid on November 15, 2018. Earnin performed an ACH Hold on my bank account on November 14, 2018, thus causing a total of $116 in overdraft charges to my bank account. I promptly notified their customer service department in regards to this matter on November 15, 2018, and even provided screenshots of the overdraft fees associated with their early withdrawal. The Earnin customer service representative - *** - attempted to claim their company was not responsible for the overdraft fees, yet the screenshots clearly showed they are responsible. On Earnin's Help Section of their website (***) they state, and I quote:
"If you receive an overdraft charge because we take the money back before your paycheck appears in your account, please send our support team a screenshot of the overdraft charge. We want to get this corrected for you!"

When I brought this to *** attention, she then "escalated" the ticket to one of their "specialists". The ticket went unanswered for 24 hours when I received an email from someone called *** which states:
"Hi ***. I'm really sorry to hear your account was debited early. Since we don't communicate directly with your employer, we have no way of knowing if the date of your direct deposit will change. Because of this, we'll automatically send out debits on your normal payday, unless we have advance notice of the change. We do reimburse charges if we post debits on the wrong date, but in this case, it looks like our debits posted on the same day as your usual payday. We're unfortunately unable to reimburse charges in this case. I would definitely recommend reaching out to your bank since they charged the fees to see if they would be willing to reverse them out of your account."

Now they are claiming that my payday has been changed. I have been working for the same company since March 2018, and my paydays have not changed. I have received my check early ONE time because our business went through a change of ownership; however, our paydays have not changed. This is an extremely unethical and illegal practice since their policy clearly states that they will resolve any issues regarding overdraft fees with no regards to fault or even if the payday changes. Their policy is clearly stated in the above-noted weblink, and they should adhere to that policy. This is a breach of contract and trust.

Desired Outcome

I am requesting that Earnin refund the $116 in overdraft charges to me through a direct deposit into my bank account, which they already have the information. Their business is at fault for the incorrect debit day, and they have openly promised to resolve these types of issues without prejudice.

Earnin has agreed to refund the $116 in overdraft fees due to improper processing of the debits to my account. I am satisfied with this resolution and wish to close my complaint.

Highly frustrated and disappointed in this App! It was supposed to help and made matters worse.

They were supposed to take money from my account on 11/16/18- They didnt take it out for a whole almost 4 days later causing NSF overdraft fees. There is no way to pay back the balance you owe through the app on your actual payday as I have tried to before. They just take it out when they want! Not ok! I tried contacting customer support and got nothing.

Now my back account is over drawn, I have no money left for the next 2 weeks. I tried to cancel my account and there is no way to take personal or banking information off the App.

HUGE SCAM- I want my money back!

After closely reviewing Brittney's account, we confirmed we did send our debits to her bank with a posting date of 11/16/18. However, her bank held our debits until the 19th, causing the delay she saw. She needs to contact her bank to have them investigate why they disregarded our posting date, as they should be upholding it on their end without delay.
