Educare Center Services Reviews (86)

Review: Educare called my personal cell phone (which is on the Do Not Call Registry) and over the course of a very long conversation I was initially duped into agreeing to contract with them to "reduce" my credit card interest rate. This involved giving them all kinds of financial information. The sales person gave (what I now know to be) bad financial advice. After a third -person call initiated by the salesperson to the credit card company, all I received was a printed notice from Educare - no letterhead, and the only contact info was their phone number. Less than 8 hours later I decided against continuing with this service. On calling Educare's phone number to cancel the contract (under the "Cooling Off Rule" per the FTC, I was told that it wasn't possible. After several phone calls in the same day and informing various people within the "company" that the service had not been provided they continued to insist that they could not (would not) terminate the contract. After speaking with 5 or 6 different people, "[redacted]", "[redacted]" and "[redacted]", "[redacted]" and "[redacted]" no cancellation was granted, Instead I was strong-armed with threats that they would call a collection agency on me and would ruin my credit if I didn't pay up.

Several points - A) in spite of being on the Do Not Call Registry, they called my number. B) They are not honoring their end of what they claimed to be able to do. C) They refused to acknowledge that I have the right to cancel a contract within 72 hours of the initial signing. In point of fact, they tried to deny that this law even exists. D) They are offering financial advice which they are not qualified to give.

§ 429.1 The Rule.

In connection with any door-to-door sale, it constitutes an unfair and deceptive act or practice for any seller to:

(a) Fail to furnish the buyer with a fully completed receipt or copy of any contract pertaining to such sale at the time of its execution, which is in the same language, e.g., Spanish, as that principally used in the oral sales presentation and which shows the date of the transaction and contains the name and address of the seller, and in immediate proximity to the space reserved in the contract for the signature of the buyer or on the front page of the receipt if a contract is not used and in bold face type of a minimum size of 10 points, a statement in substantially the following form:

“You, the buyer, may cancel this transaction at any time prior to midnight of the third business day after the date of this transaction. See the attached notice of cancellation form for an explanation of this right.” THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT THEY DIDN'T DO.

They also required a "verbal" confirmation (recorded) of a single word - "YES" to be made in order for me to get written confirmation of having dates of payment changed. They also wanted a text confirmation stating only the word "YES" - anything else would not be acceptable to them. This strikes me as very odd, and since they acknowledged that they were recording, it is reasonable to assume that the recording could be edited to their benefit. Until I asked directly if I was being recorded, no notification was made to me of this fact.

Since they are located in NY and I am in Maine, I am concerned that they are also in violation of ICC rules.

On 12-**-2014 a nearly identical complaint was filed with Revdex.com on this same company.Desired Settlement: I would like them to be notified by the appropriate legal entity that they are operating outside of the legal laws and regulations and to stop their slimy practices. I would also like them to be fined for violation of the Do Not Call Registry. I would also like them to cancel the contract under the Cooling Off Rule.

Did anything ever result from this? I myself am going thru a mess with these people right now! Any help would be appreciated!

Review: This company contacted me on 1/** claiming they can lower my interest rates to 6.99% and they work directly with all my credit card companies. They posed as working with my credit card company, so I gave them my information. They fraudulently opened a new credit card in my name and told me the fee of $894 would go towards my credit card. I told them I did not want any new credit cards and they told me they would not pursue that option. Even if they did get a new credit card, they stated said that he credit card would be 0% interest for the life of the card. Today the representative, [redacted] said he never said that. That is a lie. This company is just fraudulent.

The next day, I received a fraud alert on my credit report that [redacted] obtained an inquiry on my report. I called [redacted] and they had no record of me calling to apply for credit. Two days later, I received a new credit card in the mail. I told [redacted] that I did not apply for the card and I asked to close it immediately. The credit card didn't contain any information about what the interest rate was or any additional information. Educare Center Services posed as me, either online or on the phone, and opened up a card in my name.

I put a freeze on all credit cards and all credit bureaus. I repeatedly and unsuccessfully tried to call Educare to tell them they have broken to agreement and I want to cancel. They kept telling me that "Everything has already been done. Too bad." They agreement was they could get my credit card interest rate to 6.99% or a new credit card with 0% interest for the life of the card. They told me that they are aware of laws that the average consumer is not aware of and that's how they negotiate these rates with credit card companies.

They are extremely rude and highly unprofessional. They keep telling me that they did me a favor and they did me no harm. They told me that if they want to harm me, they have all of my personal information and they can do whatever they want to do with it. When I call and tell them I want to cancel, they tell me that they are going to continue to talk over me until I hang up and they tell me that they do not like speaking to me.

They told me they are going to send me to collections (although they have never sent me a bill.) I am trying to stop them from withdrawing the first ACH payment on 2/**. I have told my checking account company about this and they put a preemptive stop payment on the company, but they go between using the name of Educare Center Services, Educare Centre Services and Credit Card Services.

This is an extremely hostile and threatening company. They are a fraudulent company. They call me from a different number each time including Unavailable numbers, ###-###-####, ###-###-####. I've spoken to [redacted] (who threatened to "harm" me), [redacted] (who continued to speak over me and refused to listen to my requests to cancel and said he did not like speaking to me), [redacted] (said they did me no harm and everything was already done and there was nothing he could do), [redacted] (refused to give me his last name and refused to escalate my phone call to a [redacted] or [redacted] or give me the name of a [redacted] or [redacted] on duty).

They have only returned one of my phone calls and I was unavailable but I have called them several times.Desired Settlement: Close account and stop all withdrawals from my account.

Review: Once I learned that Educare Centre Services was a scam, I wanted to cancel my account and revoke authorization to charge me for services. Per their contract, a customer is allowed to cancel three days in advance of the debit date. The company misrepresented themselves as working with banks and credit card companies, but really is a scam that has used different names, does not have a website, uses bullying tactics to recruit new customers, etc. I called the company's number to cancel per the contract and talked to first, a service representative who refused to cancel and then sent me to his "supervisor." She tried to convince me to stay and I refused, so I was put on hold to talk to another "supervisor." This third person threatened me that "the money needs to be there" and that he'd ruin my credit if it was not. I told him that per the contract, I was allowed to cancel and he then told me that he would "rather see hell freeze over than close [my] account." I told him that his company had already been reported to the Federal Trade Commission and Revdex.com, and he escalated his threats, repeating the same lines about ruining my credit, preventing me from being able to use my accounts, etc. I told him if it was a legitimate business that he would not be threatening me and ended the phone call. Shortly after, I received a call from an unknown number. I doubt they have closed the account as I repeatedly requested.Desired Settlement: I would like my account closed and for the company to stop contacting me.

Review: I was contacted by this company and agreed to a contract with them for their assistance in obtaining a lower interest rate on my credit cards. After signing the contract I called back immediately after our conversation and said I did not feel comfortable with the information that was asked of me or that I provided. I expressed concern that my money was not safe and that my checking account and credit cards were at risk. I requested that my contract be cancelled after reading in my contact that with proper notice of cancellation I was able to do so. I was denied my request and assured that everything was safe and handled. I have since contacted the fraud department for my bank and the fraud department of the credit card company that they applied for a card through without my direct consent. I have since closed my checking account and have attempted to protect myself to the best of my ability.Desired Settlement: I want my contract to be voided since I have expressed my concerns for my financial safety and requested that the cancellation takes place in the appropriate amount of time specified on their contract. I wish to never be contacted by this company again.

Review: My father called them regarding lowering their interest rate with [redacted] card. Nothing happened and we received a bill for 894.00 in the mail. We call in November and spoke to a billing representitive with our issue and he was told they would remove his account and there would be no charges. I am a witness of the conversation because phone was on speaker. We havnt received any more correspondence from them about bills and now in May 2015 we received a collection notice from [redacted]. Saying we need to pay the 894.00. Or it goes onto our credit... I called them to discuss it and they told me that there was no record of them saying that when I heard them say it too my father...Desired Settlement: I want them to take back the collection account.

Review: I was contacted by Educare in October 2014. They led me to believe they were my credit card company sold me a plan to lower my interest to 6%. They did not do watch they said and charged me $995. They threatened to damage my credit and send me to collections. Because of the threat, I agreed to their services and allowed they to draft 5 payments of $199 from my bank account. They took one payment of $199. After the first payment. they stopped billing me and stopped calling me. I did not hear from they and they did nothing. Now, in May 2015, Educare sent me to collections. Now I have collections trying to damage my credit. I called educare and they are trying to get me to pay the collections and also double pay them. They are still saying they will damage my credit. This Business is a horrible scam. They Buisness tricks and traps people. They are very rude and dangerous to your credit and confidentiality. I am now forced to pay the collections to protect my credit.Desired Settlement: This company did not perform the services they promised. They sent me to collections and collections forced me to pay $797.11. I would like to receive a refund of at least $797.11. I want the company to destroy my personal information and never bother me again.

Review: They called me and offered to have the interest rate on my credits lowered on 2/**/2016. As they led me through the process, they had me to talk to my Credit Card Company and instructed me to tell them that my income had been lowered due to lack of work. When I told them that this was not true, and I did not want to do this...to stop now, they told me that I could not stop the process. It was a three-way call with the card company, and every time I tried to stop, they would put the CC Company on hold, and tell me that I had to continue, and could not stop the process. Reflecting on everything, I knew this was not a honest company to deal with so first thing on the morning of 2/**/2016, I called them and told them that I did not want their services, and to stop everything. Again I was told, I could not cancel or stop the process. So I was lied to by Educare as they told me they could have the interest rates on all my cards lowered when, in fact, this did not happen, and the one credit card they did do, they had me to lie, in order to get in done, even though I kept telling them I did not want this service. Over and over again, I protested and wanted to stop the service but they refused to do so, and still refuse to do so. Therefore, on 02/**/2016, I called the credit card company myself, and told them what had happened with Educare, and that I did not want to participate in their program or have their services as they were instructing me to lie and deceive the cc company, and Educare was refusing to allow me to cancel their services. I think I have things straightened out my cc company but Educare is still refusing to cancel their service, and now say they will sue me, even though I have been telling me all along that I did not want their services.Desired Settlement: I want this service canceled, and I understand that I have the right to do so, as long as I cancel within three days, which I have tried to do on numerous occasions beginning with their very first contact with me. I do not want their services on any of my credit cards. I do not want them to take money for any of their services from my bank account for they did not do what they promised to do, and what they did do, they instructed me to lie, in order to get it done. I do not want to be sued for collections by them for any services. I want the contract canceled. I do not want their services, and I do not want to be sued by a company that did not do what they claimed they were going to do. I want the contract null and void, as it is my right to do so within three business days, and I never want to have Educare or their representatives contact me again....ever.

Review: Hello,

I'm praying that you can help me with this issue because I don't know how to

address this matter and would really appreciate some feedback.

I signed up for a service through a financial advisor company (Credit Card

Services/Educare Centre Services) that promised to help me in many ways repair my credit, but services have been very disappointing up to this point.

Below was the original agreement for the payment plan, they have my checking account # to draw

the funds (first draw was December [redacted], 2015), they had later changed the agreement and gave me a discounted rate (due to my dissatisfaction and poor choices on their part), but the company was not able to provide me with a new contract stating the adjusted payment plan (every month on [redacted], started Dec. 2015).

I was under the impression that I can cancel their services at any time (stated in contract "Please note that if at any time you wish to revoke this authorization and cancel any scheduled debit to your account, you must notify us at ###-###-####, but apparently I was misinformed and they said that I was obligated to pay this

amount (they were only able to postpone payments, not stop them).

The advisors haven't followed through with what they said could be done

and I do not like what they have done with my credit so far. They have been very rude to me when I tried to cancel this service and will not even negotiate with me to work something out.

After reading the reviews on this company, I am convinced that it is a total scam and that they should be shut down, many people complained about being taken advantage of and ripped off, with no hopes of canceling.

Do I have any legal right to back down on this agreement?

My amount was lowered (from what is showing below) to $997, but I feel very

deceived with their actions so far and would like to withdraw from these

services, if possible.

I had reached out to an Attorney whom sent Educare a letter on my behalf (draft is attached), but they said that it was not valid and disregarded it. I am frightened that if I don't continue to pay them, they will turn me in to collections, but do not find the value in their services to continue payment.

Can you advise me on what can be done here, or am I committed to continue with

their services and payment?

Below is the contract I signed, what can I do to get out of this (if

anything?), thank you for any advise you can offer me, greatly appreciated.

Review: This company called me. I was in the process of attempting to find a debt resolution company at the time they called, so I went forward with them. The problem is that there were several red flags that I didn't realize until after the fact. The lady I spoke to was supposedly a [redacted]. The phone number is ###-###-#### and her Ext. is #[redacted]. She contacted approximately 5 of my credit card companies but only negotiated a lower interest rate with one of them. It is definitely NOT worth the $896 they are charging me for the work they did. I am afraid that I have given too much information to these people and basically signed my life away.

I was told that I could call on July [redacted] to have them change the first payment date ($223.00) from the July [redacted] date. I did not have a copy of the so called agreement which implies that it had to be done no later than 3 days before the payment date between 10 a.m and 6 pm. EST. I was at work between that whole entire time today and did not get home until after 7:00 CST. I tried to call this around 7:40 pm CST and the recorded message did NOT give the name of the company and said they were closed. When I dialed the extension it said "this person" is not available but supposedly let me leave a message.

I will contact my bank in the morning and tell them to put a watch on this company and to block any payments they try to process from this payment forward. I am not sure what repercussions they will have against me, but I cannot afford to pay for something that I did not get and I am seriously worried that this company is really a scammer company and will steal my identity.

I want this contract with these people cancelled immediately!Desired Settlement: I want this company to cancel the contract with me immediately and to cancel any future auto pays I previously authorized. I believe they are a scammer company and they have done little to nothing to earn the $896 (in 4 installments of $223.00 beginning on 7/*/15. They have not performed as I was told they would to help me fix my debt situation and they need to cancel the contract and not attempt to process the payments.

Review: educare contacted me last week of December 2014. they said they had a m/c with free interest for l4 months and then convert to 6.9 permanent after that. They assured me its a [redacted]. I received it in the mail and then a rude person I believe name [redacted] called and said I owe her $796 for the card since they were giving me such a huge deal. She wanted my banking info which of course I never gave her. So since December nothing has happened and then all of a sudden yesterday 5.**.l5 I receive a letter from a debt collector named U.S collections West Inc. out of Phoenix, Arizona. The letter stated I was sent to colllections to collect the $796. I called Educare and no answer. I am fuming upset for such a scam. Huge Scam. This company should be shut down. Now I have no idea what to do?? Please help.Desired Settlement: I would like to make sure the $796 goes away and collection goes away and my credit is not dinged. I should not have to pay for something that was a lie and scam. I will schred the card if they wish. This just isn't right!!

Review: I was contacted by Educare Centre Services and informed I was eligible for a APR reduction on two of my credit cards. I asked which company they were calling with, and was told 'the credit company', and she went on to ask the expiration date of two of my cares. At the time, I did not have my cards on me, and she asked to call back. She called back and asked for the expiration dates again, and then asked me to confirm the bank account number used to pay the balance off. I again asked what company she was calling with, and responded 'the credit company'. She then sent me on to [redacted], who told me I would be saving $1800 in debt if I just paid $796. He transferred me to [redacted], (###-###-####) and she went on to call [redacted] and [redacted] to lower my APR. She had asked permission to speak on my behalf when on the phone with these credit card companies. They agreed to lower my APR and she then told me she had the power to overwrite the system and give me 0% APR, and then told me it was time to pay for the services. I asked whom I would be paying for the debt, and she then told me [redacted], as she had applied for a credit card and I should be receiving it in a few days, and that I owed her $796 for her service. She sent an e-agreement, and that was when I saw the company was called Educare Centre Services. The agreement states "If you wish to revoke this authorization and cancel any scheduled beit to your account, you must notify us 3 days prior to payment".I called and asked to cancel my service, and they told me that was not an option it was too late. The 'manager' I was forwarded on to asked why I wanted to cancel the service, and I stated it was unecessary as I pay my cards of in full. He went on to say "I used poor judgement" and "it was too late, as the account has already been set up".I feel I was mislead by the employees of Educare, and was told I would receive services I never did. I never wished to open another line of credit, let alone two.Desired Settlement: I would like: To revoke authorization to any and all debits, known or unknown, as caused by this event. Also forfeiture of any future claims by Educare Centre Services, their subsidiaries and/or holding companies. Lastly, the rectification of all credit impacts standings which stemmed from this incident.

Review: I am being charged for some services that was not render by this company. They made promises that were not kept they gave me the run around and wasted hours of my vaulable time. And when I asked to speake with a supervior they denied me that right.Desired Settlement: To not be charged for services that wete not rendered and not becontacted anymore by company.

Review: Educare Centre Services is taking me to collections for the cost of $894.31 which is the interest for a 0% interest rate offered to me on a credit card I have for one year. My husband, [redacted], called and declined the offer within the time limit. Therefore, we never received the new card which would have been used for this promotion. I also called the credit union through which this card belongs, and they said they never offered such a promotion. I went to the [redacted] County Sheriff Department and they told me it was a scam and gave me a printout of several other people who had received this same call. Now they have turned it over to [redacted] for collections. I spoke with a [redacted] there to get the address for Educare Centre Services, and he would not give me that information. Then I found my notes from my original phone call with [redacted] from Educare Centre Services who had called me several times after my husband declined the offer trying to get me to reconsider.Desired Settlement: I want Educare Centre Services and [redacted] to quit sending us collection notices for something we never received or took part in and never plan to take part in such an offer.

Review: Educare Center called me on ** October from "credit card services". I believed it was my credit card company calling. They tricked me. They said they work "with" my credit card company to lower interest rates. I continue to speak with them because I wanted to reduce my then 25% Interest rate. They were very convincing that they work with the credit card companies and that I they will save me a lot of Money. They seemed to know everything about Me! They told me they had my information from Citibank. They even called Sears to ask about my credit card payments and wanted to reward Me for making Payments on time with a new 6.9 % Interest rate. Sears said the best they could do for me was 17.9%. They then told me they were going to get Me a new Credit card from [redacted]. They told me that I got approved for a New [redacted] Card with zero % interest and that they would do a Balance Transfer in a few days after I received the [redacted] card. At that point, I started feeling uneasy. If they work with the CC companies then why are they asking me info they already should know? I continued on because they have a great way of convincing . I signed via email a contract paying these people 894.00 that gets split with 4 payments. I thought it was a good thing to do. But when I tried to look up this company, I could not find them. I called them and I told them I had changed my mind. Everyone I talked to had a very heavy foreign accent. They told me it was too late, that I had already been approved. I felt real uneasy. So I find the Revdex.com's comments about this company and saw a several complaints and words SCAM FRAUD, IDENTITY THEFT came into my mind. I had to go to the bank and close my acct and reopen a new one. I Had to contact the credit reporting agencies and notify them. I have yet to see the [redacted] Card. I called the Credit bureaus to tell them I suspected my Social Security number had a Fraud on it. Then I get a Letter from the U.S. Government about the Federal Database being hacked and my personal information being compromised. No wonder they knew so much about Me! My first payment is not scheduled until November [redacted] and I closed my accts already so they could not draft. I have to some how get out of my contract. I have called them to ask about getting out of my contract. They said I could never do that. I mentioned an attorney and they got nervous on the phone, but then told me all I could do was postpone the payment for 50 days. I am a retired U.S. Air Force Master Sergeant. I plan to call [redacted] and get that credit card cancelled as I believe it was obtained by Fraud. Any advice You have would be very helpful. Thank You.Desired Settlement: I would like to be left alone, and no further contact by this Business. I believe I was tricked, and that Educare Center Services is a Fraudulent company operated by Scam artists. I do not want to be held responsible for their "Fee"' of $894.00 for a Service that has not even been rendered.

Response:

At this time, I have been contacted directly by Educare Center Services regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here]

Educare Center called me on ** Nov 2015, but I did not get to the phone in time. They did not try to call me back. I have not heard anything since. At this time I am not sure if Issue is resolved or not. Thank You for Your assistance with this.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Sincerely,

Review: In early April 2015, I received a call from a company offering to lower my interest rate to 6.99% for life on my credit card. Initially I thought I was talking to my credit card company as they had my current balance and total credit limit information. I came to realize that it was a different company and they offered to lower my interest rate for a fee of $894 (made in three monthly payments) through a relationship they had with my credit card company. The fee was equivalent to what I pay annually in interest so I proceeded with the transaction. As the call continued and I was bounced to a couple other agents for processing I became uncomfortable at the way they needed security information to move forward. It was eventually explained that they wanted to open another credit card in my name at 0% and transfer my balance to it. I said I wanted to cancel the transaction. They told me it was impossible at that point and we started to argue. They transferred me to his supposed supervisor who assured me everything was legitimate. I said I needed to talk to my wife first to which he responded that there would be no point since I had already authorized the transaction and they had all the information they needed at this point to empty my accounts if they wanted to. I was confused because it had never been clear in their language that a transaction had taken place. I told him that they way they asked for security information did not put me at ease and I asked if they had all the information they needed to continue. He said yes. I was transferred to an agent to finish the transaction and was asked for my checking account number so they could withdraw the fee. I got into an argument with him because the supposed supervisor said he had all that information. The agent insisted that he needed me to confirm the number. I said I wanted to cancel the transaction and was told that if he did it would go to collections for being unpaid. I gave in, hoping for the best. A few days later, after their first charge of $298 I tried to look up the company and only found them as complaints here in the Revdex.com website. I immediately put fraud alert on my credit, cancelled my current credit card number, changed my checking account number, and filed a police report. I have tried to call the phone number I was given and all the answering machine does is play music. My bank called the phone number on the transaction and had the same result. A credit card was opened in my name and I cancelled it the minute I received it. I have no doubt that this company exists solely to leach money out of people. They did business with the slightly different spelling of "Educare Centre Services."Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of their initial charge of $298 and to cancel any future transaction with this company. I revoke all authorization for the previous and future scheduled debits.

Review: They called me on March *, 2016. Although I initially agreed to their fee by responded "yes" to a text message because they said it was the only way to move forward, we did not complete the services they were supposed to provide and they did not provide what they promised. When I called to tell them I changed my mind and wanted to cancel and not proceed they said it was too late and that now I would be sent to collections and the man I spoke to James M[redacted], who claimed to be a manager, was EXTREMELY rude and impersonated a customer service rep when I called to ask for someone else. So now they say I owe them $1490 even though the first payment is not supposed to take effect until March *, 2016. This company is a total nightmare!Desired Settlement: I don't want to ever be contacted by this company again and I want to be absolved of all charges they think I owe them.

Review: Called me claiming to be credit card services and that due to my excellent payment record I qualifies for a lower interest rate on my card. He had my acct balance and connected straight to bank which seemed legite. Had me agree to verbal contract before services, after I felt it was fishy I tried canceling but he said I was legally obligated and we have to proceed. I got even more suspicious when he was coaching me what to say. Then 3 way called my bank to see what kind of promotions I had. I got weary again and hung up, he called back and again pressured me saying I had to continue. After the balance transfer was complete he told me not to believe everything I read on the internet. He made text agreeing to the payments but when the real contract came via email it was vague and not legit so I did not Accept. They just left me a voicemail after I've tried canceling saying I'm obligated to pay. Felt forced into this and am worried how much of my info they got.Desired Settlement: I wish to not be contacted by this business anymore. Have not payed them anything and will not. I want to make sure I'm not sent to collections for this scam of a service

Review: Credit Card Services (a.k.a. Educare according to e-mails) called me 8/**/15 with promises of lowering my credit card interest to 6.9% or lower for as long as I let them work for me for a one time fee of $896. They promised to save me a lot more than that with the money I would save in interest. I said OK, because I wanted to hear more of what they had to say. They called my bank and got info about how much debt is on my credit card. Then they checked my credit and found a 0% interest rate credit card to transfer my balance to. I said I didn’t want to get another credit card. I thought they were somehow lowering the rate on my existing credit card. I didn’t want to continue. They said I would have to pay their fee since I had agreed to it on the earlier recording, so I might as well take advantage of their help. I spoke to a “supervisor” who also said I had already agreed to the fee, so I had to pay it. Feeling trapped, I proceeded. I was then transferred to a woman that e-mailed a very vague “contract” to me that I had to electronically sign by clicking I accept. She got my checking account information so she could bill the fee of $896 in 4 monthly payments of $224. I then received an e-mail that listed the payment dates. Both of these e-mails said “[redacted]”. No real e-mails with detailed information about their services ever came to me. [redacted] called me a day or two later asking if I had applied for a credit card. I told them I didn’t know what bank the card was coming from, but asked if it was 0% interest and $15,000. I told them I was aware of the card coming to me, and that my “financial advisor” had found it for me. I received the card shortly after that. Days after .lreceiving the card, Michael M[redacted], “financial advisor”, called me to assist with the balance transfer. Later that day I started researching this company online. I found so many stories about this being a SCAM. All the stories were exactly the same as mine. With my recorder on, I called them to get them to send me detailed information about the services they are providing me. I made them aware that they were being recorded. Again...the woman on the line said they can’t do that. The vague contract is enough. I asked to speak to a supervisor again. I spoke to Jonathan G[redacted]. He too said they do not send details about the services they have promised me. I can listen to the recordings they have to hear the details any time. I just have to ask. The fact that they will not give written documentation about their services, or about what their company does proves they are not a legit company to me. I closed the credit card account that they opened before the transfer could happen. I ordered a new credit card number for the card they were going to be transferring from. I closed my checking account and opened a new one, but not before the first electronic check payment of $224 made it through. I’ll be contacting the 3 credit bureaus as well to hopefully prevent them from trying to put me in collections when they can’t collect the other 3 payments.Desired Settlement: To not be held liable for the remaining $672, and to not be sent to collections due to a scam
