Educare Center Services Reviews (86)

Educare Center (Credit Card Services) contacted my parents. They presented themselves like they were their [redacted] company, therefore they answered their questions as so. They promised them better interest rate at 6% then down to 0%. It wasn't until they told them they would be taking money out of their account that they realized this was NOT their [redacted] company. My dad told them he was not interested in what they had to offer, but they said it was too late. Since this conversation they have continued to harass my parents (who are elderly) with phone calls at least once a day and some days more than that. They are now saying that if they don't pay them they will send them to collections.

Review: Educare Card Services contacted me on 11/**/15 about being an affiliate with my bank that calls customers about lowering their interest rate on their credit cards for a fee smaller than my annual interest I pay on my credit card. This company had a lot of my personal information already, so I trusted that they were who they said they were. I agreed to pay a fee in exchange for a 0% interest rate on my credit card. They were very pushy and started sounding extremely suspicious and shady after they had roped me in to this agreement. I called my bank after the phone call and my bank told me that they would not outsource that kind of thing to another company and I would have to go directly to them to request a lower interest rate on my credit card. Immediately, I knew something was not right. I looked up the company online and saw a tremendous amount of complaints with the Revdex.com regarding the same issue I was dealing with. I called my bank and put fraud alert on my account and cancelled my account. I also called all the credit bureaus and put a fraud alert on my account. A couple days later, I received a new credit card in the mail that I did not open; when I called the bank to cancel the card they told me the information provided to open the account and personal information, which was all incorrect, so I believe they also opened up a credit card in my name. I was able to cancel that as well and send the complaint to the credit bureau and have that taken off my credit report. Today, 1/*/16 they called to tell me that they will send me to collections if I do not pay the $220.00 a month for their services. What services? They never "lowered my interest rate" or followed through with their end of the "deal"... so, why would I pay for services that were never rendered? Plus, they lied and said they were an affiliate with my bank and that my bank had provided with with my information so they could call me and offer me a lower interest rate, which is not true and fraudulent.Desired Settlement: I want this "agreement" voided and make sure the company does not send my information to collections. If my information is sent to collections, I want this case dropped as I was a victim of fraud and did not use any of the services the company said they provided. This was a scam and a gross act of fraudulence.

Response:

At this time, I have not been contacted by Educare Center Services regarding complaint ID [redacted].Sincerely,

Review: I was contacted by Educare Centre Services and I was told they could reduce my APR on up to several of my credit cards. They only identified themselves as being called credit card services. They seemed to know my balance information with only the last four digits of my cc number. They said that they couldn't lower it but able to get me another line of credit to do a balance transfer. They said they got it with [redacted] one which is who I had my cc through. They said they had them on the phone with me and confirmed my balance information. They said I would receive it in a couple of days and they offered me 0%. They said this service would be $199 for four months. She sent an e-agreement, and that was when I saw the company was called Educare Centre Services. I tried to cancel the order but couldn't and couldn't email back to say I wanted to cancel. I tried to call my bank because they were going to directly withdraw from my checking account. This was after I called [redacted] and found out that I didn't need a service to get the additional credit cards and they would not do a balance transfer from one card to the other. (They are able to give me up to $2500 check to pay the other credit card down, but I didn't need Educare to do this service for me) I cancelled my checking account as they had gotten one $199 payment from me. They called me and I told them I want to cancel and explained why and they told me that was not an option it was too late. They lied about being on the phone with [redacted] as CO keeps a logs of phone calls. They only saw an online application for the cards. I did receive them, but I made no more contact with Educare I only called [redacted] directly and was able to get everything I needed directly from them for free.Desired Settlement: I do not want to pay the balance of the $597 because this service is bogus. Many have complained about this service. And the fact that you can't cancel and this is a service that is not required. [redacted] said that I was able to get the rates without the other service, I could just apply online myself and I would have qualified. They said this will go into collections. I do not want to have my credit affected by non payment to a scam.

Review: I was contacted by this company July *, 2015. I was interested in taking care of my credit card debt and at first they seemed okay. One credit card had the APR reduced to 2%, yet the card was also closed because I agreed to do a Balance Liquidation Program. After a long conversation with Chris A[redacted] and on another conversation with Alec M[redacted] - I told them I felt I was being scammed and being a victim of Identity Theft. They assured me that was not the case. When I asked another man for written documentation that their business was legitimate, he told me the company had 'GONE GREEN' and didn't have any brochures. I told him to email it to me and he again informed me they didn't have anything he could email. I then told him I wanted to revoke authorization and cancel all debits as I didn't feel the things they did were worth $796.00. It was also totally disturbing to me to see that this business is 1) not accredited by the Revdex.com and 2) considered to be closed!!Desired Settlement: I am willing to pay them ONLY one payment of $199.00 for their services, yet I would like to revoke authorization to any and all remaining debits after August *, 2015; known or unknown as caused by this event. Also, forfeiture of any future claims by Educare Centre Services, their subsidiaries and/or holding companies. Lastly the rectification of all credit impacts which stemmed from this incident.
