Educare Center Services Reviews (86)

Review: My complaint is contractual and delivery of services. On July **, 2015 I was contacted by an representative, Peter W[redacted], EXT. [redacted] [###-###-####] that appeared to be informative of my credit debt. He was knowledgeable of my needs. While completing the intake process he contacted my credit card company and was not able to reduce as promised the APR down to zero interest. He then went on to apply for me a [redacted] Card and explained with this card a balance transfer would be conducted and there after payments would be to [redacted]. Last week the representative, Peter W[redacted] contacted me back regarding if I received the card, which I didn't. He proceeded to contact [redacted] for them to expedite a new card, have yet to receive it. In addition on July ** a [redacted] Representative from the fraud department contacted me to question the application request for a credit card. I explained to her, Educare Centre Services or as they refer themselves as my Credit Care Services were providing debt services. The [redacted] representative explained that I could do this type of balance transfer on my own. She was exactly right because when the Educare representative, Peter W[redacted] contacted me last week and the [redacted] representative of the whereabouts of the card; Peter W[redacted] explained when I receive the card either I could complete the balance transfer or contact them and they can complete the balance transfer.

When I didn't receive the services as requested I called Educare, Monday, August **, 2015 and all I got was music playing, no voice to explain please hold for the next representative. I tried on the ** AND [redacted] AS WELL. I then went to my bank on August **, 2015 regarding this matter as far as the withdrawing money from my account and no services rendered. My banker then tried to contact Educare and behold they answered EXT. [redacted] [###-###-####], the banker as well as myself spoke to EXT. [redacted] and clearly explained not wanting the service. [redacted] explained he would call me the following day to discuss canceling the services. Educare called August **, 2015 at 5:03 PM, EXT. [redacted] [###-###-####]. I explained to this representative I was not interested in the services and she pushed to call [redacted] regarding the credit card/transfer approach. I explained not being happy and services not rendered, as well as my research of them having no realistic way of contacting them, via internet or phone. She tried to over talk me and insult my intelligence, explaining their services is common sense. She then explained the e-sign authorization is contractual as I could over hear she was being feed this information so-called from her supervisor [back ground]. This was after she explained she was going to connect me with the department at Educare that handles cancellation of services.

Thereafter, she threated to send my file to collections, despite services not rendered, since July **, 2015. I explained to go ahead and I proceeded to go to your website to file this complaint. Educare Centre Services is fraudulent and this is why, like the other complaints I reviewed, I'm reporting this to you to resolve. Services were not rendered, contacting them difficult to address issues or cancellation of service, e-sign contract misleading and customer service is horrible and insulting. With the threat of sending my file to collections I want it thrown out because services were not rendered and they are misleading, because there are not-for-profit organizations that charge no where near how Educare is robbing consumers.Desired Settlement: To have no ramifications of the threat of sending this allegation to credit collections. I would also like them to be investigated as far as their advertisement of what their services provides.

Review: Through speaking with 3 separate representatives with this company, I was strong armed into a credit card situation with a fee of $799 attached to it. My conversation had to be re-recorded more than once in order to get me through the process because I continued to ask questions, state I was paying off this card in a couple of weeks, and refuse to give information being asked of me. In the middle of my conversation with the 3rd person, [redacted], my call was dropped. Conveniently while I was not on the phone, the transaction was "processed". When I called back and was put on hold for another 10 minutes, I was put in touch with [redacted], the [redacted]. He informed me the deal was done, there was absolutely no way to cancel it, and I was going to be put into collections for the $799 if I refused to make the payments. I informed him of the disconnected call and the multiple recordings as well as my refusal to release specific information, and the strong arm tactics used by his employees, but he refused to listen. When I asked for a [redacted], he said he was as high as I could get. I told him repeatedly I wanted to cancel the transaction. I didn't want their deal, their interest rate, the new card, none of it. He said it was too late and refused to grant my request of cancel even though I wasn't even on the phone when the transaction finished and even though it had been less than an hour between the initial call and my call back.Desired Settlement: I want this transaction cancelled. I do not want a new credit card. I do not want the change in interest rate. I do not want this company to contact me ever again.

Response:

At this time, I have been contacted directly by Educare Center Services regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here]

The company contacted me again to inform me their fee of $800 would be sent to collections. I let them know I had filed a police report for fraudulent activity. They still did not want to cancel the transaction and repeated the collections threat.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Sincerely,

Review: I received a phone call from Educare. It sounded like a deal to lower my credit card interest. Then I was lied to by a employee [redacted]. He was extremely rude. Gave wrong information which made me decline the credit rate lowering. Then I could not cancel the transaction and was on the phone for hours. DO NOT EVER DEAL with this company.Desired Settlement: All I want is this scam to be cancelled.

Review: This company called me at 9am from "credit card services" Im thinking its one of my credit card companies calling. They explained they are a "third party" company that works "with" the credit card company to lower interest rates. I continue to speak with them because it sounded interesting. They were very convincing that they work with the credit card companies and that I have nothing to worry about. I gave them EVERYTHING!!! SS# CC# for them to contact the credit card companies to lower my interest rate. At that point, I started feeling something in my gut that it didnt seem right or make sense. If they work with the CC companies then why are they asking me info they already should know. But my dumb [redacted] continued on because of course they have a great way of making you a believer. I signed via email a contract paying these people 800.00 that gets split with 4 payments to negotitate on my behave. since Im young and new to all this, I thought I was a good thing to do. But when I hung up, I felt real uneasy. So I [redacted] this company and saw a [redacted] load of complaints and words SCAM SCAM SCAM, FRAUDULENT ETC...I went in a panic and freaked out. I started calling all my card companies and explained my situation. They sent me new cards. Had to go to the bank and close my acct and reopen a new one. Had to contact the credit reporting agencies and notify them. Capital one CC was nice enough to cancel a cc application that these people did over the one as a way to "lower my interest rate". Thank god they canceled my application within hours, and sent a letter to me and the Credit beaurus to advise them it was a fraudelent opening and to remove my inquiry from my credit report. My first payment is not scheduled until oct [redacted] and I closed my accts already so they would not draft. I have to some how get out of my contract.Desired Settlement: That my credit report gets corrected, and that I get out of the 800.00 contract.

+1

I have the exact same case .. very recently and I have been beating myself for days now for giving them everything... I did all of what u did too change accounts credit cards / reported to credit beauro and registered to monitoring agency for id theaft im freaking out they threatened to send my file to collections.. I did not recieve anything from them except BAD advice about how to sneak around with credit card company ... please help ... should I be worried? Or what else should I have done or should do ?

Review: On 9/*/2015 I recieved a telemarketing call. I initially thought it was from my credit card company. I was offered a 0% interest on my current credit card bill. I said I was definitely interested. When I realized it was not my credit card co and there would be a substantial fee involved I stated I wanted to cancel this. Alex M[redacted] said I could not cancel because I had already confirmed. I was very frustrated and upset and thought I was stuck with this. I continued to express my desire to cancel. There reply was a reduction in the fee. I called back the company two weeks later and asked for this to be cancelled when I recieved information from a credit card co. saying they thought my name and information was being used fraudulently. I spoke with James Morgan that day and ask that the service be cancelled again I was told it could not.About Oct first I cancelled the credit card I got in the mail and spoke with Jonathan G[redacted] I told him I did not want their sevice that I was not activating the credit card and I was not paying him $596.00. He said that they would send my information to a collection agency since they had already provided me with the service. I replied that I did not accept the service and I was reporting them to the Revdex.com.Desired Settlement: I want the charges stopped.

Review: A woman named Helen C[redacted] called said she was calling from my [redacted] credit card telling me she could lower my interest rate to a fixed 6.99 on this card plus all my other credit cards for lifetime, then she pulled my credit report and proceeded to start calling all my credit card companies trying to get the lowest transfer rate., [redacted] card offered a 4.99, and to move the other balances to [redacted] card, I said"I can do that, why should I pay you 298.00 in two installments from m checking account for a total of $596.00, Helen said " in order to get all cards lowered lifetime to than 4.99", [redacted] me gave her my information. I thought she was calling from [redacted], until after she told me she was with this Educare Card Services. I called back a couple of days later and ended up arguing with the supervisor Jonathan G[redacted] (he says)Huh!, He told me my credit would be then turned over to a collection agency, if I did not pay them. I then went to my bank & alerted them of this SCAM! Then I called back [redacted] Card, told them of the SCAM, and they were so helpful with flagging my account and gave me a better offer. I still need to call the other two Credit cards to alert them and possibly change my whole bank account number, Educare only gave me one phone # of ###-###-#### and NO Address!!!Desired Settlement: I do not want my excellent credit damaged. This company is misleading and praying on older people, hopefully they will STOP this SCAM and STOP Calling People!!!

Review: I was contacted by Educare Centre Services and informed I was eligible for a APR reduction on up to 10 of my credit cards. I asked which company they were calling with, and was told 'the credit company', and she went on to ask the expiration date of two of my cards, for the expiration dates then asked me to confirm the bank account number used to pay the balance off. I again asked what company she was calling with, and responded 'the credit company'. She then sent me on to [redacted], who told me I would be saving $7000 in debt if I just paid $896. He transferred me to [redacted], (###-###-####) and she went on to call [redacted] and [redacted] to lower my APR. He had asked permission to speak on my behalf when on the phone with these credit card companies. They agreed to lower my APR and give me 1% lower APR, He then called [redacted] card and had me verify my line of credit that was approved. They said I would receive it in a couple of days and they offered me 0%. He told me it was time to pay for the services. I asked whom I would be paying for the debt, and she then told me [redacted], as he had applied for a credit card and I should be receiving it in a few days, and that I owed him $896 for his service. She sent an e-agreement, and that was when I saw the company was called Educare Centre Services. The agreement states "If you wish to revoke this authorization and cancel any scheduled beit to your account, you must notify us 3 days prior to payment".In order to verify the new application with [redacted] Card I called them directly . They said it was declined, because the information could not be verified and that I could apply directly free of charge for the 0%APR of my Balance Transfer. So I called and asked to cancel my service with Educate because of non-delivery of services offered., and they told me that was not an option it was too late. The 'manager' I was forwarded on to asked why I wanted to cancel the service, since they did not deliver on their service. I told him that he was being recorded and that I already alerted my Bank to not allow any withdrawals from this company. I feel I was mislead by the employees of Educare, and was told I would receive services I never did. And I never wished to open another line of credit, let alone two.Desired Settlement: To revoke authorization to any and all debits, known or unknown, as caused by this event. Also forfeiture of any future claims by Educare Centre Services, their subsidiaries and/or holding companies. Lastly, the rectification of all credit impacts standings which stemmed from this incident.

Review: Educare contacted my wife claiming to be our [redacted] credit card and wanting to improve our interest rate for a fee. She said no, after giving them personal account info. They called back a month later saying if we didnt give them almost 1000$ or our account and routing #'s that they would sue us and ruin our credit. They wouldent identify thdmselvs with a name or employee # or connect us with a supervisor.Desired Settlement: fraud charges

Review: yhey said they would lower my credit card interest they never did get it lowerd but took 298.00 from my checking acount the did not do what they said they would do but took my money I want it backDesired Settlement: would like this money retunred and see them put out of bussiness

Review: I inadvertently spoke to a company on the phone concerning them lowering the interest rates on my credit cards. While in the process of agreeing to accept their services I decided to cancel because it started to sound like fraud. They told me that I could not cancel the services and tried to Strong arm me into accepting. They threatened to place this matter into collections and ruin my credit. They were intimidating and threatening and would not listen to any reasoning. They then had a man call me stating he wanted to take me through the official cancelation process, however he too tried to intimidate me into accepting their services.Desired Settlement: I simply would like to cancel any services with this company. I choose not to do business with this company. I believe that this is a ripoff!

Review: Once I learned that Educare Centre Services was a scam, I wanted to cancel my account and revoke authorization to charge me for services. Per their contract, a customer is allowed to cancel three days in advance of the debit date. The company misrepresented themselves as working with banks and credit card companies, but really is a scam that has used different names, does not have a website, uses bullying tactics to recruit new customers, etc. I emailed them to cancel per the contract. "[redacted]" called me immediately, leaving a message that he wanted to "work something out for me". I returned the phone call and this guy essentially badgered me- talked over me, was sarcastic, wanted to know what job I had to try to belittle me and was rude and threatening- under the guise of "trying to help me"- another fear tactic. He tried to compare their service, which I said, I could have done myself, to "paying someone to make you a sandwich". He escalated to threats of "collections", "poor credit", citing me as having a "bad attitude". I said to him that if they were a legitimate business, there was no way he would be threatening me, being sarcastic and bullying in the way he was. He kept trying to turn it around, saying I was the one with a bad attitude. He seemed committed to having this horrible conversation continue, in the same way the original sales rep, "[redacted]". would not let me off the phone. I ended the phone call. I received another call from an unknown number right after, but refuse to be subjected to that kind of behavior.Desired Settlement: I want them to close my account with them and never call me again. I also hope someone like the Revdex.com or FTC can put an end to their victimizing of people already in a desperate place.

Review: This company called and I hung up twice not understanding the sales person.

supervisor of company called back and ask why I hung up. I told supervisor that I could not understand sales person and asked the supervisor if this was [redacted] Bank. Supervisor replied yes it was. So I gave him my personal information asked for my interest to be lowered. Supervisor then advised me to allow 4 payments of 199.00 each from my checking account. He informed me that he would put a automated withdrawal on my checking. I said no. Send the paperwork in the mail and the supervisor said no he couldn't do that and if he meant me any harm he already had all my information. At this point I felt I had to go along with it since he had all my bank information. I felt like I had been scammed. When I called them back the next morning to withdraw and cancel I was told it was to late I had already used there services. I set a watch on my checking account at the bank and hope that it isn't a scam.Desired Settlement: My hope is that after the 4 transactions are complete that the company will not contact me again and will not charge me more than the arranged amount of 796.00.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

Sincerely,

Review: Services called me pretending to represent my Credit Card Company. After verifying my account info they recorded me accepting an agreement before answering my questions. Once I learned they were not with my Credit Card company they would not let me hang up or cancel the agreement and threatened to have a collections company take the money I "verbally agreed to" without receiving any services. The Company Name they told me was "Credit Card Services" Business License # "[redacted]" the address they gave me was "616 Corporate Way Suie 2 #[redacted]". I spoke with a man named "Mike R[redacted]" telephone number: "###-###-####". The Services of financial advice of how to lower my interest rate included illegal activity of taking out a Balance Transfer to pay off an existing balance on the same account. The other option was to take out a No Hassle Check and do the same thing, but this would have multiplied my interest. Before I was allowed to hang up he required my Bank Account routing number to bill me automatically. This was not agreed upon. Afraid of his threats I gave in. He sent me a text agreement of charges for services that listed his company name as Educare (not the company they said they were).Desired Settlement: The Services they offered did not lower my interest rates and put me in jeopardy of committing a crime. The information they needed phished my ALL of my credit card, personal information and bank information. The company they claimed to be was false. The services they claimed to offer were not delivered. I have cancelled all accounts associated with this phone call. I have filed for Identity Theft. I have cancelled all "Interest lowering" changes he made with my Credit Card Company. I desire to not be responsible for the fees associated with this fraudulent Company.

Response:

At this time, I have not been contacted by Educare Center Services regarding complaint ID [redacted].Educare has attempted to charge my Checking Account twice and there have been multiple fraudulent charges on my Credit Card. Sincerely,[redacted]

Review: Educare Card Services called me explaining they could get me a lower interest rate on my credit card. After talking with them on the phone I explained I was no longer interested and needed to talk to my husband regarding this "offer". I proceeded to hang up. They continued to call my phone multiple times. After finally answering my phone again I was harassed by a person that called himself the manager "[redacted]" . He threatened that I could not stop the service and I would owe them $894.00 , although they had done nothing for me thus far. I once again said I had to go and that I wanted no part in what they had to offer. Once again they continued to call me phone multiple times until I finally gave in and answered my phone again. After all of [redacted]'s threats of sending me to the collection agencies and so on, I finally gave in and reluctantly gave them my information only to find out they were trying to offer services you can do for yourself for free.Desired Settlement: This "company" is still contacting me stating if I do not pay they will send me to the collection agency. I desire them to stop contacting me. I also have hope no other people will have to endure their threats.

Review: did not deliver on agreement, wish to canel, was told it would turned over to collection and would be harassed by phone calls until I paidDesired Settlement: stop as I asked

Review: I received a call from this company explaining that they could lower my interest rate on my credit card, and that this would be the "last" time they would offer this. Intrigued, I indicated I would speak with an agent. The first agent I spoke with had a thick accent and it was difficult to understand him at times, but what I did understand was that they would be able to lower my interest rate (for a fee) that would be charged whenever I wanted. I thought it would be a good idea considering they had information about my current balance on my credit cards so I thought it was possible it wasn't a scam. I spoke with a second agent who asked additional information (address, phone number, but not SSN) and then I "authorized" them to continue in the process. The second agent then got me in touch with a "senior financial analyst" who will then continue in this process. After a few minutes speak with this third person I felt uncomfortable about this transaction and wanted to cancel. They indicated that because I had "authorized" it I would then have to speak with my credit card company and determine if I was approved for this new rate they were promising. If I wasn't approved they would cancel the transaction. I told them I didn't want to do that and just wanted to cancel the entire thing. She got me in touch with her "supervisor" who in turn told me that because I had "authorized" them to run this "opportunity" that I would need to continue with the process. I became frustrated and told the supervisor that I didn't want to do this whatsoever and that they needed to cancel this process. She indicated that their department couldn't process that request. I then asked to be transferred to a department that could handle my request, as there had to be someone that could. She said that no one at this company could process that request and I would have to continue with contacting my bank. If I chose to not do this, that they would send the fee ($996 over 4 payments) to a third party collections agency who would contact me about that. As I felt threatened and strong armed in to this process, I backed off and asked to be transferred back to the financial person who would contact my bank ([redacted]). When I got on the line with that financial person, they said that I was already "approved" and it wouldn't be necessary to contact my bank anymore. I asked that we contact them anyway because I wanted to hear that from my bank. They said that because I was approved, my bank wouldn't see that in their system and it would be pointless. I continued to ask for this request and the representative I was speaking with began to be more threatening about sending it to the collections agency. I felt concerned for my credit as I had worked hard to get my credit back up, and so I continued with the process. They then asked for my SSN. I refused, and they threatened the entire process again. I gave my SSN as such and then they asked for my banking information to make the auto payments. I asked them and they said that I couldn't call and make the payments over the phone for some reason. I then gave them the information. The financial person then stated that I wouldn't be charged on my first payment for February, but then proceed to set up the first payment for February 24th. I don't want this at all and feel that this company is providing a false service in order to gain people's information to further ruin credit opportunities. I will be contacting my bank and my credit card company to ensure nothing is wrong.Desired Settlement: I wish for this entire process to be cancelled out and nothing is charged whatsoever to me. I have seen other complaints submitted to the Revdex.com with similar concerns and feel that I shouldn't be charged for a service I didn't want in the first place but was threatened to do.

Response:

At this time, I have been contacted directly by Educare Center Services regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

The company attempted to contact me on 1/** but I was unavailable to answer the phone. I called back on 1/** to speak with the manager that contacted me ([redacted]), but he was unavailable to speak with me but was told he would call me back. He did not reach out to me at all, so I called back on 2/* to speak with the manager again, and was informed that they contacted me by mistake. So they still haven't resolved my concerns nor have they tried to make any other contact with me. I still expect a resolution of having no money attempted to be taken and for my "contract" to be null and void with them.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

At this time, I have been contacted directly by Educare Center Services regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

They are still indicating that I'm responsible for the payments made for their "service", something of which I am not paying due to their deceptive behavior.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Sincerely,

I received a call from this number (I am on the national do not call registry) I listened to what they had to say agreed to payments verbally but when I realized what this was(before services were rendered) I told them I did not want the services and did not want to be charged. They threatened me with sending me to collections and said I had no choice but to either take the services or risk ruining my credit. I took the services because I felt stuck and they had all my personal information. They did things that I really didn't want them to do and I argued over and over with them until I have in. They were very rude. I contacted the collections agency they used and was told that the collection agency had dropped their accounts because of multiple disputes and not being able to send letters to this company. I am looking for any advice I can get.

Review: Business called me and told me about their service, after going over everything I decided I did not want their offer. They explained to me that it was too late because I had already agreed, and I was required to pay the company $800. Payments never came out, despite the fact the business had my bank account information, and several days ago I received a call from a bill collection agency and had to pay $797.95 immediately.Desired Settlement: I would like my money back. I do not want their service in any way, I just want my money refunded in a timely manner.

Review: Feeling ever the fool I got involved communication with Educare Credit Card Services. I supplied a bit of personal information, not all but enough to soon realize that was a mistake. I was offered, like others, a 0% APR on a new credit card to be obtained from Capital One. In exchange for this "Service" I was to be charged a "Fee", that was presented to be money from the bank to acquire new customers. This "Fee" for them helping me get a new card with a reduced APR was to be $900. An amount I found out later would actually be CHARGED to my incoming "new" credit card, and allowed to be "payable" in installments. I did receive not 1, but 2 credit cards from Capital One - as Educare submitted for them on my behalf. BOTH credit cards came through as unable to process activation due to FRAUDULENT circumstances. Desperately freaked out by this outcome I called in and told this scam company I wished to cease any relationship. AT this point, the employee I was speaking to not only told me I COULDN'T cancel services with them - because I;d authorized them to deliver a "Service", albeit a fraudulent one AND one that allegedly had alternate ways to "solve my problem" AND because alleged alternate services existed, despite the red flags of fraudulent cards - there was NO WAY to CANCEL our "agreement." The employee turned both threatening and rude. I first engaged with Educare on January **, 2016 and after my last conversation (post alerting them to the fraudulent cards) I was contacted again by Educare on Feb. * and again on Feb. *. AFter reiterating my stance to the initial person to whom I spoke, I was informed that "helping me lower my APR on a current card [which did take place]" signified a service rendered. YET, the ultimate service of accruing a new card and getting it down to between 0%-6.99% went Unfulfilled due to their undisclosed fraudulent activities. Capital one flagged both credits cards as fraudulently acquired, once i'd tried to activate them. On the phone call as of feb. *, I was told in no uncertain terms that I owned $900 and would pay - threateningly, once again. My case is going to their Collections Department.Desired Settlement: I wish to never speak with these scamsters again. I wish to have not have to engage with harassing collections calls for some scamfest that never manifested.

Review: I received a call from this company today and foolishly was led into their schemes. They offered to get me a lower rate on my credit cards if I followed through with what they asked before suddenly it was too late and I was told that I could not back out of the contract. They said they would report me to a credit agency because I had to pay them regardless if they had not delivered the product yet. They even fooled me by pretending that they were contacting my bank. I am concerned that they have all of my information now and it worries me what they can do with it after reading all about what this company has done to others. My issue is just as everyone else here says, same scheme and I just want out. The first billing will be mid November and I plan on contacting my bank to close all my accounts. I also am not interested in this company opening another line of credit in my name.Desired Settlement: I would my contract with this company cancelled and do not want them to open a line of credit in my name. As I have yet to receive any services from them and have yet to pay I feel like this is a reasonable request. I simply want nothing to do with them.
