I want to retract a previous review and it won't let me. So, I am replacing the first review with this message. After speaking with the owner, It seems as if some of the original information was misunderstood and the issue was resolved as I had hoped to begin with.

I selected Edwin Stipe for installation of my new gas furnace and air conditioner after meeting with four vendors. Matthew of Stipe reviewed my options and offered what I believed was and is a fair price and quality product.
Jon and Steven handled the installation of the units. They arrived on time, were professional, courteous, and pleasant. The installation process went perfectly due to there knowledge and experience.
I highly recommend Edwin Stipe, I also have neighbors who also have selected Stipe has their HVAC choice.

Review: Work was performed on September 4, 2013, at which time it was determined that I needed to replace 50 feet of low voltage wire. The service technican called his office to get a price for this service, he wrote up an invoice for $303. I gave a deposit of 151.50 to have the work done, but the next day I called the office to cancel. Later that day, I learned the wire cost only $25 and according to their invoice which states "Work is Done By the job, not by the Hour, I felt this price was too much just to install wire. I never got anyone to resolve this from September 5 - September 9, 2013, so I drove to their office in [redacted], Pa. and spoke with someone by the name of [redacted]. At the end of our conversation, he told me that they would refund the $151.50 and I should have a check within 7 business days. To date, I have not received a check. So, I called the office yesterday, to inquire about the refund and no one could check up on the status, but told me [redacted] will call me back...I have not heard back from [redacted].

I sent this company 2 certified letters (with return receipts) to cancel my service as of September 23, 2013. I mailed one to the address on the original contract [redacted] and also to [redacted], both located in [redacted], Pa.Desired Settlement: Deposit Refunded = $151.50 plus $418.60 for the Diamon Service Plan (as stated in contract, I reserved the right to cancel this service plan within 90 days and receive a complete refund...no questions ask). Again, I went into the office to cancel this service on September 9, 2013, but received a confirmation from [redacted] that this matter would be resolved in 7 business days, but it wasn't. My contract was originated on March 11, 2013. This was within the 90 days as stated by their contract.

The refund for the deposit on work the customer chose not to complete has been sent along with a refund of his contract payments and our apologies. It was delayed in an administrative error.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. My acceptance is based upon receipt of the refund payments within ten (10) business days from November 7, 2013.

Two words: EXCELLENT. and PROFESSIONAL.

Nader H. was just here for my yearly boiler check up, let me tell you one true thing, ALL SERVICE personel should have the attitude and consideration this young man has. Not only does he have what is stated above he is well knowledge of his trade and well dresses as a service tech should look. This man can work in my home any time!!

We have been using Edwin Stipe for several years. to check and service our heating and air conditioning equipment.
The are consistently reliable and very professional. They provide good service at reasonable prices, without trying to convince you to purchase equipment or repairs that may not truly be necessary.
We appreciate their preservice notifications, and that the service reps arrive within the prescribed time-frame.

Clear, fast, and efficient explanation and help for my failed septic pump. Will be sure to work with again!
