are outlined in the Truth in Lending disclosure of the contract. This is a standard simple interest installment loan. Daily interest accrues based on the fixed interest rate of 16.9%. services offered to our clientKarisma. Equiant did not take over ownership. The loan account is still with the original creditor.After reviewing account records, Equiant never received a formal complaint directly or indirectly fromMr. [redacted] regarding payment processing.On 12/7/16, Mr. [redacted] contacted Equiant’s Call Center for assistance accessing his account via thewebsite. At that time, Mr. [redacted] was advised the auto draft for 12/1/16 was not honored (declined). Mr.Oihus planned to contact his bank regarding the issue and try to fix the error online. However, we foundon 12/8/16 Mr. [redacted] set up an additional auto pay instead of a one-time payment via the websitewhich caused two payments to draft monthly.Per Mr. [redacted] request, payments dated 12/12/16, 1/9/17, 2/8/17, 3/20/17, 4/10/17, 5/8/17, and 6/8/17 willbe refunded within 2-3 business days. We have also cancelled the additional auto payment.The ability to hold auto payments is still available via Equiant’s website. Mr. [redacted] took advantage of thisoption 6/21/17. Should Mr. [redacted] like to resume auto pay, he can activate the pending payment fromthe website or contact Equiant directly. The Call Center can be reached at [redacted], Mondaythrough Friday- 8:00 AM till 5:00 PM MST or via email at [redacted].This should resolve and close the complaint.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  They did not provide this level of information to me when I asked them myself previously, it is apparent that their direction comes from Shell Vacations Club directly. I will submit my request to fix my credit report information directly to Shell Vacations Club.

Ms. [redacted]’s complaint appears to arise from:Told the membership fee of 824.00 will be returned or credited for the next year if did not use the facility or did not go for a vacation·never used any of the facilitycannot choose booking at your own schedule timeRequest to stop collection notice [redacted] is the original creditor and uses Equiant as the primary loan servicer for Ms. [redacted]’s account. occasions confirming there was a cancellation pending. Equiant received a copy of the Confidential Termination and Release Agreement from The [redacted] on 2/22/15 via certified mail. The correspondence was forwarded to [redacted] on 2/25/15 since [redacted] is the entity The [redacted] contractually engaged and purchased from.Equiant ceased billing as of 4/28/15.As of 5/11/15, Equiant received confirmation from [redacted] the account will be cancelled. of a complaint filed by The [redacted]s. The [redacted]’s dispute includes several issues:1-  Point of sale, feels the membership was sold under false pretence2-  [redacted] Card billing3-  Has not received answers to their questions (by mail, phone, or in person)4-  Has not received a statement5-  Request to cancel the membership6-  Refund of all monies paid into the membershipAfter review of The [redacted]’s loan account with [redacted] Vacations Resorts, Equiant contacted the [redacted]s 12/1/14 to assist with change of autopay information.  Equiant also contacted the [redacted]s 2/24/15 to assist with bringing the loan account current and the cancelation of autopay in order to receive future statements. Our 2/24/15 contact included sending a credit card cancelation letter confirming the next payment due date and amount owed. To our knowledge, the letter was not returned from the post office.Equiant received a dispute letter dated 1/6/15 via certified mail. The items disputed are with our client, [redacted] Resorts & [redacted] Resorts Club.  [redacted] Resorts & [redacted] Resorts Club is the entities the [redacted]s contractually engaged and purchased from.   Equiant forwarded the 1/6/15 letter to [redacted] Resorts & [redacted] Resorts Club on1/20/15. To date, Equiant has not received information back from our client.As [redacted] Resorts’ & [redacted] Resorts Club’s third party billing and payment processing agent, Equiant is not a party to, or has any ability to negotiate issues pertaining to contract origination, cancellation of membership, ability to settle sales issues, or refund monies paid towards the membership. Please find attached our response to complaint [redacted].

Our client has informed us there was no agreement stating this would not reflect on their credit bureau report.

We contacted [redacted] in the afternoon...

of February 6th to advise them of our client's response. We informed them if they had documentation supporting their complaint to please provide that information for further consideration. The consumer did not advise either way if they had/or were willing to provide that documentation.  

[redacted] acknowledged the dispute between them and [redacted] was not resolved. That she believed becuase [redacted] refunded their payment the account was resolved.  We explained to her that [redacted] could not terminate a contract with another company and her contract with [redacted] stands as is.  

Finally we offered her the contact information to reach [redacted] directly, regarding any further dispute.

Good afternoon,

We received a credit report dispute directly from the Credit Reporting Agencies directly through the eOscar database. The dispute received triggered a review of the account [redacted] mentioned in this complaint.  Based on the review Equaint found there was an error in our credit reporting and took action to make corrections with the credit reporting agenices (we only report to Experian & Transunion).

Equiant reported the account was paid and settled to a zero balance as of May 2013. Please find attached a copy of our correction letter summarizing our report to the Credit Reporting Agencies.

We sincerely apologize for this error. We believe our response to the eOscar dispute fully satisfies this complaint as we reported exactly what was requested under the 'Desired Settlement' section.

This business is a rip off. They are annoying harrassing and a threatening company. Never able to get disputes resolved. Charges should be reviewed as unethical and illegal. Asked mx. Times for supervisor call. NEVER COMPLY. CONSUMER BEWARE.. RIP OFF....GET OUT NOW....
