-0.45pt;">logize for any misunderstanding you may have in regards to the account. Equiant Financial is a payment processer and serving provider for[redacted] Vacations. We would like to address the issue by providing the following information for a better understanding of [redacted] Vacation’s policy.

After a review of the account we received no response from our attempts to contact you by telephone and mail. The loan was originally listed as a foreclosure on 01-21-2010. Per the credit bureau dispute recently received, as of 05-21-2014 the status has been updated to paid and closed as a non settlement (Voluntary Return) as of May 2013.

Please be advised when a foreclosure/voluntary return is in place the credit reporting will reflect negatively, due to default of the original signed loan agreement. The credit report will reflect the default balance at the time of the account closure.

A copy of the dispute has been sent to the original creditor, [redacted] Vacations. Please contact them directly and give them a chance to respond to the dispute. They can be contact directly by calling

We hope this information provided gives you a better understanding of credit reporting.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

It's true [redacted] contacted me and relayed to me the reply of [redacted] of [redacted] in Las Vegas.  Their demand for us to provide something in writing that [redacted] signed not to make negative credit reporting is ridiculous.  Their missing the real issue here.  They reported as to be delinquent with our payments and in default of our loan when it shows clearly in their books we paid on time as they even sent us a letter stating we have fully paid our loan.  They were the ones who did not comply to the terms of the trade-in agreement by failing to process the trade-in and informing us in a timely manner of any issue that could affect this process.  It's not true that getting our payments back with the help of [redacted] gave us the assurance that the matter is resolved.  We exhausted all means to resolve the issue with them so to us, it's up to them to contact us for resolution because we did our part and waited long enough.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.First off NO ONE contacted me, EVER. My phone number has not changed in 14 years. The only reason any money was ever received from me to you and this account was settled was because I contacted you and then arranged a settlement and then proceeded to pay. Had I not done that, this account would have never been settled. Second, once the settlement had been paid it was not changed on my credit report at all. Again until I went through and contacted you nothing had changed and the account remained "in default". So basically I have been doing the work of this business in order to settle the debt. I want all 3 of my credit reports amended to reflect that the debt was settled in 2013 and NOT 2014. Once that is done and I have documented proof of that I will accept the response.

Good afternoon,[redacted]

[redacted] Re: Revdex.com Complain ID[redacted] Re: Equiant Financial Services Inc & Global Exchange Vacation Club A/C[redacted] Equiant is in receipt of your complaint...

regarding the automated phone system quoting a payoff for your Global Loan account. We have thoroughly reviewed within our records the timing in which each payoff inquiry was made along with the timing of each payment posting to your account history. We were able to determine the automated system was accurate in present the true balance, payment fee and impound included, for each inquiry that was made. Based on your explanation of your calculations in effort to pay in full the exact balance we can understand the confusion. It is clear to us it was caused by the actual payment processing day and time that crossed your calculation which was accurate for the very moment it was obtained from the system. Equiant would like to accommodate your request of refunding the entire $20.20 paid on 10/13/2014. The transaction reversal will be submitted today and completed within 2 business days. During this timeframe your account will be reinstated to an active status to allow for processing the transaction reversal. Upon completion your account will return to a paid in full status. If you have questions during this time please contact me directly. Respectfully, Equiant Financial Services Inc. [redacted]

[redacted] Equiant is going to accomodate the consumer's request to have their full payment of $20.20 returned.Best regards,[redacted]

Review: I have a yearly maintenance fee on the Shell Vacation Timeshare that I purchased in 2008 and paid off. My yearly maintenance fee is due 1/1 of every year. I have issues with this every year, not getting a timely bill etc. I had a late fee last year because payment was not received on 1/1/14 which was waived by them, which I feel it should have been due to the issues I always have getting a bill timely. This year, I never received a bill at all. I decided to contact Equiant to ask about my bill since I knew I had one, didn't remember when it was due and never got a bill. When I called in the customer service rep verified my address, which has not changed in 17 yrs and they do have this correct, apparently the proceeded to tell me they had returned mail and she doesn't know why. Happens to be the bill I never got. So, upon calling I find out the late fee of $15 would not be waived since it was waived last year and in addition to that I have a penalty of some sort, not sure exactly what for, I am not 30 days late. I was so upset with them I couldn't comprehend what the $50.87 charge was for, but my account to Shell was locked out until payment was received, which I just paid online. So, I have been charged, on 1/29/15 not even 30 days after this payment is due, $65.87 in fees in addition to the over $500 that I pay anyways. The customer service rep told me on the phone when I said I didn't get my bill "you have been a mbr since 2008 you should know that you owe this money". I certainly don't expect to ever be spoken to like that. I actually do have other bills and other things going on in my life that I do not sit around and wait for a bill from Equiant to come. I don't care if I have been part of this group for 42 yrs. That is completely rude and uncalled for. Not only am I very upset about the extra charges, I am upset about the service I get from them.

If I would have ever dreamed this is how I was going to have to deal with this business when I purchased my timeshare, it would never have happened. I am ready to share my experience on all my media outlets and let everyone know the types of things they can expect if they purchase a timeshare.

I will go back and attempt to find out what the fees are for. I am NOT excited to contact them again since my last experience was less that even acceptable.

I do see there are complaints against this company on billing issues. I am not surprised.Desired Settlement: I would like a billing adjustment. I will pay the late fee this year, even though I DID NOT GET A BILL. But, I would like that $50.87 refunded to my account because there is no explanation or reason for those charges.

Review: You have a company doing business as [redacted] Club in Scottsdale at [redacted] that either is closing their business or has very poor business practices. We purchased from them time share points on September 22, 2014 which seemed like a better program than purchasing a fixed week at a specific location somewhere. My issues with them now are they will not return phone calls to us as clients and we have no information from them on what we owe and they keep sending us bills with no explanation as to what the charges are for that they have posted to my credit card. The dilemma all started in Pigeon Forge, TN where they presented this program to us under false pretentious but setting th is aside we felt as I said previously this was a better program than the old time share plan, so we purchased this from [redacted] Club. After I returned home and looked over the contracts they had us sign I had a question so I called our Representati ve to clarify this and they told me she was busy and would call me back, she never did. We were then to go to Myrtle Beach, SC on 11 /18/2014 thru 11 /20/2014 for an owners program, when we arrived they told us they had no one on these days that could do the presentation but the manager said he would straighten this out and call us in the morning. He never called so we stopped at the office and they informed us he would not be therE' the rest of the week and they brought us another manager to talk with us. He gave us the same story but did not call us again. so we stopped by the office and he did come out and talk to us and told us to come back at a later date and they would pay for our hotel again. We live 6 hours from the beach so this was not reasonable, so we ask if we could stay till Friday and they could get someone for the training, he agreed to this suggestion. The lady presented this to us and assured us if we had any questions we could call her persona lly and she would get us an answer. She gave us some papers to take home with us but when we got back one of the pages was missing so I called her to have it sent to us and again no one would call us back. Then the billing problems began, so I called to ask them to send me a statement on what we had paid and what we still owed so I could write them a check for the balance and be done with them , this was their Scottsdale office. No statement or call to get this resolved. So I sent the documentation to them on these issues on I /6/2015 by certified mail which they received on 1114/2015 and I still have not had any communication from them, which makes me think they are going out of business or has a company policy ifthere is a problem with a client just I gnore them. I have included the documentation I sent them for your information, can you look into this for us and give us some advice on how we handle this delimma?Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Other (requires explanation)

Review: I had a timeshare that I was unable to afford after multiple unexpected major surgeries at a young age...my responsibility. The only way I knew it went to a collection agency was because I contacted them, it had been several years and I found it on my credit report. My phone # hasn't changed in years but no one bothered to contact me. Either way I felt it was best to try and settle and the collection agency and I came to a settlement agreement. Check was issued and cashed almost exactly 1 year ago. I happened to be checking my credit report and it turns out the account is still open. I call Equiant and according to them they received notice the account was returned to the original account servicer (SVC) in May of 2013 (as it should have been) which indicates that they knew some sort of payment/settlement had taken place but they simply didn't change the account from past due to closed. So for the last year my account has been past due when it was settled and paid. I should have just left the whole thing alone and never paid. After 7 years it would have just come off my account anyway but I felt like it was better to make some sort of settlement. Instead I'm the one who has to dispute it with all my credit bureaus and with Equiant. This is what I get for trying to be responsible.Desired Settlement: I want my credit report changed to reflect the account was settled in May of 2013 as it was, I have the cashed check and the settlement agreement letter from Meridian Financial to prove it.

Review: Me and my wife purchased a timeshare with [redacted] in Las Vegas with a trade-in of our other timeshare in Cabo San Lucas involved. Our contract included a Trade-in Agreement and everyone on the table was aware that the purchase is dependent on the closing of the trade-in. We were assured the trade-in will go through without a hitch because [redacted] is a resort they have been doing a lot of business with and they processed a lot of trade-in in the past that went well. We fully paid our contact in March 22, 2012 and [redacted] sent us a confirmation letter for that. We also paid maintenance fees on time BUT come November 2012, I received a maintenance statement for 2013 from [redacted] which prompted me to verify why are they still collecting maintenance when we're suppose to be not owners anymore because of the trade-in. [redacted] cleared that we are still owners and there was no trade-in. This was when I started calling [redacted]'s customer service until I ended up dealing with [redacted] who they said is the only one who I can talk to regarding trade-ins. Communicating with Ms. [redacted] was a pain; she never picked up her line and never returned my calls. For almost a month, all I did was leave messages. Sometime in December, she finally called back and she herself confirmed that there were no notes nor status about the trade-in in our account. It was in January when she finally said that the trade-in didn't happen but the contract is still binding. I argued that they didn't comply with the contract agreement and did not send us any form of communication to notify us of this issue. I also found out from [redacted] from [redacted] who handled out trade-in that she notified [redacted] as early as April 2012, weeks after we fully paid, that [redacted] does not accept trade-in with corporations. It was obvious that [redacted] dropped the ball and didn't do anything to fix the issue because they got what they wanted from us anyways....our money. When [redacted] stopped communicating with me to resolve the problem, I filed a dispute with [redacted] which I used to pay our account. [redacted] made numerous resolution attempts but was also eventually ignored so [redacted] resolved the dispute to our favor in May 2013 and refunded us all the payments we made to [redacted] thru Equiant who is their billing and collection agency. A few ago, we started the refinancing process of our home only to find out that Equiant reported us delinquent for more than 120 days to the credit bureaus and because of this, the refinance is on hold. It's been almost two weeks now since I emailed a complaint and sent all pertinent documents to Equiant but no one has communicated with us yet. We already spent 7 months battling with Equiant and now we're dealing with this issue again. We've wasted so much time and suffered so much stress and anxiety from these people and this has to stop. I've heard of similar and a lot of complaints about this company, they should be barred from the business.Desired Settlement: We demand an immediate correction of their report to the credit bureaus for me and my wife. We were never late with our payments and we exerted way more than all possible means to fix the issue with [redacted] but they simply ignored us. Equiant's record of our account history can tell we we're never late with payments and it was a dispute thru [redacted] that took back what we paid them.

Response:

Good afternoon,

Please find attached our response to complaint [redacted].

Our client has informed us there was no agreement stating this would not reflect on their credit bureau report.

We contacted [redacted] in the afternoon of February 6th to advise them of our client's response. We informed them if they had documentation supporting their complaint to please provide that information for further consideration. The consumer did not advise either way if they had/or were willing to provide that documentation.

[redacted] acknowledged the dispute between them and [redacted] was not resolved. That she believed becuase [redacted] refunded their payment the account was resolved. We explained to her that [redacted] could not terminate a contract with another company and her contract with [redacted] stands as is.

Finally we offered her the contact information to reach [redacted] directly, regarding any further dispute.

Equiant is the Financial Servicer for [redacted]. The contract referenced in this complaint is between [redacted] and [redacted]. A copy of the contract can be obtained through contacting [redacted] at ###-###-####.The terms of the loan are outlined in the Truth in Lending disclosure of the contract. This is a standard simple interest installment loan. Daily interest accrues based on the fixed interest rate of 16.9%. The daily interest for simple interest loans is calculated by multiplying the ‘current’ principal balance by the interest rate, then dividing that number by 365 (365 days in the year). According to the contract interest will incur and the borrower is responsible to pay the interest.Respectfully,Equiant Financial Services Inc.[redacted] – Dispute Resolution

I have tried to talk to anyone at Equiant. The number for [redacted] owners is no longer in service. The customer service line puts you on terminal hold; pressing 3 for a callback does nothing. There is no [redacted] representative availabe to talk to.

Review: I purchased a second time share at the [redacted]. Apparently, at some point they sold this and other contracts to Equiant. Unfortunately,

although I have contacted both [redacted] and Equiant on several occasions, I have not gotten an acceptable response. In looking through my contract, the end

of my payments should have taken place in 2012/2013. As of today, I am still paying. I contacted the company and was told that I still owe $1,577.78.

In the intrim [redacted] acquired this resort, but, they explained that they did not acquire the contract.Desired Settlement: I would like for this to be investigated and explained to me why I'm still paying. I believe I am being over charged, in which case I would

like a refund.

I received a message from this company. The voice message nearly impossible to understand. The person leaving the message sounded like the he either had a speech defect or marbles in his mouth. He was very slow in speech. After listening to the message 6 times I was able to deduce that he was saying that he was a debt collector. I could barely make out who he claimed to be representing. I called that account to deal directly with them. My account was not in collections and the implication pissed me off. I do not believe you should require my name or zip code to allow me to express myself to you. That has implications.

Review: I made a full payment for a land I bought about 90 days ago and I haven't receive a full payment letter nor deed of sale. I spoke to customer service and she changed the agreement based on the last time I called that it will take 60 to 90 days into 90 to 120 days. Although, she mention she will fax me a full payment letter but I haven't receive any, not even by mail. Hopefully, someone from equiant will take care of customer and do their job in a timely manner.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive my deed of sale and full payment letter which they promise to send me within 90 days as we agreed last couple of times I contacted them instead of moving the date for another 30 days. Thank you.
