Case# XXXXXXXX
Ms. [redacted] used E-Z Movers to move locally on 04/22/15.
At the time of scheduling/booking the move the customer is sent a confirmation letter via email, this gives the customer a chance to go over all terms and conditions...

of the move before the actual move date.
Before the actual move date and during the move, the customers has 3 options to choose from for the liability coverage.
1. Basic liability coverage of $0.30 per pound/per article.
2. Our Full Value Protection plan.
3. A third party insurance company of the customer's choice.
Ms. [redacted] decided to go with the basic liability coverage of $0.30 per pound/per article and the confirmation letter was signed via email on 03/20/15.
The storage cost for customers is $0.40 per cubic foot. Ms. [redacted] had one month of free storage that ended as of 12/12/14.
We stored 600 cubic feet of items for Ms. [redacted] which would have a charge of $240.00 a month for storage. Customer signed a storage contract stating she is to pay $240.00 a month. As a good faith gesture we have lowered her monthly charge to $180.00.
11/11/2013 - 12/11/2013 - FREE storage
12/11/2013 - 12/31/2013 - $116.13
01/01/2014 - 12/31/2014 - $180.00 x 12 = $2,160.00
01/01/2015 - 04/30/2015 - $180.00 x 4 = $720.00
Total for storage stay = $2,996.13
Total customer paid = $2,996.13
Customer did not over pay for storage and all storage fees were charges correctly.
When the movers arrived at the delivery location on 04/22/2015 and the customer did not have any complaints or issues with the move at that time.
It is required to notated anything that is damaged and/or missing on the bill of lading or the inventory pages. (All signed documents are attached and highlighted as needed).
Ms. [redacted] filed a damage claim on 05/08/2015 claiming she had a damaged desk and mattress. Nothing was notated on the bill of lading or the moving documents as required.
As a good faith gesture E-Z Movers made Ms. [redacted] a compensation offer in the amount of $75.00 (based on the weight she had provided us with).
Desk - 100 lbs. x $0.30 = $30.00
Mattress - 150 lbs. x $0.30 = $45.00
Total = $75.00
Ms. [redacted] accepted the offer and signed a release acknowledging/agreeing that she satisfied with the claim resolution and there will be no further complaint filed with anyone else.
On 07/15/2015 a check in the amount of $75.00 was sent to the customer via postal mail. (Please see attached).
Customer filed a damage claim that was resolved with customer signatures attesting to all of the information I just provided you with.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

EZ movers!!
What can I say I was very sceptical initially considering my previous movers, their truck from Memphis to California met with an accident and we lost everything including my new born baby's gifts and clothes and pictures.

We found E-Z movers on the internet and I spoke to BRIAN who was very patient with all our questions. Like any other we checked the reviews on yelp and I was scared again but Brian made it so easy. Yelp and lots of other moving companies say how the prices increases by the time you get your stuff but that really did not happen with us. BRIAN quoted us an amount and it was exactly what we paid.

-He kept me updates about when they will come for pick and drop off.
-He never ignored calls voicemails or emails.
-He made this move so easy for me and my family.

At the end, Brian is really great at his job.

The guys came to pick up and drop off were also super fast and helpful and very friendly.

At the end I just want to thankyou brian and all the guys who helped us out with this moving process and made it so easy for me and my family.

I hope your boss gets this!

Thank you again Brian.

Despite our efforts to prevent damage, it is impossible to guarantee that no damage will occur. We do everything, for all of our clients, to try and attempt to prevent damage. We bubble wrap, blanket pad, custom crate, shrink wrap, and move with care, all items. Despite all of this, some damage does occur occasionally. Because damage to any item is a possibility while relocating, we offer full replacement value coverage. We provide this information during the initial estimation process, we provide this information again when scheduling your move, and then once again at the time of signing the contract during pick up. We can't force anyone to purchase additional coverage if they choose not. Again, the outcome of the claim was based on the contractual agreement and the level of coverage chosen by the client. We politely decline to increase our current offer.

I had a bad experience with this company. I gave them the inventory over the phone, each item. The nice lady on phone said...oh yes, you qualify for X, no problem. And gave me the quote. When the drivers arrived, instead of going through inventory he immediately said...oh no way, this isn't X. It will be 800 MORE! Then upon delivery, they had this GIANT semi delivering one studio of things to an apartment complex and all of a sudden the semi was the wrong type of vehicle since it was too big so I had to pay additional labor and another vehicle so they could move the things out of the semi and into a smaller vehicle, then into the apartment. They knew in advance it was an apartment complex. They always just say...oh we can deal with that when we get there...meaning they can't wait to charge you more money. So whatever they quote. ...double it! Bunch of crooks!

They added tremendous stress to every aspect of the move. They gave barely a warning before arriving for pickup. They did not lift a pinky hauling things down the amply-sized driveway into the house for dropoff. They did not assemble anything as was promised. Pretty much all of the verbal promises were violated. Not sure yet if they took good care of the furniture as it is all sitting in a dark freezing garage, not assembled, and not being slept on.

I have used EZ Movers twice now, and I was very happy with the service. They have all the necessary equipment - boxes, tape, blankets, different size trucks, etc. The movers were on time and very careful. They wrapped my furniture thoroughly and loaded/unloaded everything carefully. The whole process was hassle free and efficient. They provided excellent customer service. Very respectful and responsible team. I would use their service again in a heartbeat!

Really stay away from this company, don't wast your time and money, they will give you a feel of silliness , they are biggest cheater and liar that I have ever seen in my life!!!
There is no customer service, you will never got update about the pick up time and date, they are disorganized, they are gonna charge you for any feet that is more than 75', and they will seduce you don't tell anybody this extra charge which I paid 150$ by cash except the final price!!!I am planning to suit them, luckily we recorded the driver voice when he trying to make more money and we will submit it to the court.
Please find another company if you don't want a huge headache!!!

I would describe my moving experience as nothing short of miserable. When the movers first arrived at my home they told me they couldn't fit their 18-wheeler down my street so I was going to have to pay $500+ to have a smaller truck brought. Whatever, to some extent I understood even though the pricing was extreme. When the movers packed my things, they left 20-30 empty roll of tape laying around my house, on my porch, and in the road. After cleaning up after them, I was just happy to have my stuff headed to my new destination. They provided me with the 10-day window of delivery. Shocking news, I received an email that my shipment was going to be late. So, 14 days later I finally get a call that my stuff was going to be delivered. I meet the movers at the storage unit where I was going to keep my stuff. They break out a measuring tape and measure every single inch of how far the storage unit is from the back of the truck. I'm told I'll have to pay ~$400 extra for them to move my stuff into my storage unit because it's too far from the back of the truck. At this point I wasn't willing to give this company another penny so I told them to take my things as far as they could and I would move them from that point into my storage unit (literally around the corner and about 10 steps away but they wouldn't assist). They brought my stuff as far as they could, and just sat it there. Didn't bother to take all of their tape (EXCESSIVE amounts of tape) and padding/saran wrap off of my items. So there I am, a single 110-lb 25 year old girl, by myself, with my keys trying to rip this tape and packing off of my items so I can break my back attempting to move everything into my storage unit. To make everything better, when unpacking my items I was finding a lot of damages. My $250 dog feeding cabinet was completely falling apart to the point where screws were all over the place and it was like about 10 pieces. Plastic containers clearly marked with "FRAGILE" had cracked lids to the point that they were falling off of the boxes (I haven't yet gained the courage to look at the items inside the boxes). One of my dining room chairs ($150) was broken. While I was in the middle of sweating my a$$ off moving my things, the mover stopped me in the middle of moving something to get me to sign the papers so they could leave. I honestly have nothing good to say about my moving experience with E-Z Movers and would warn others to look into ANY other option, even if it costs more. Wish me luck on submitting all of my claims!!!!!

I apologize for the delay in arrival. Start times are only estimates, and we make every effort to stay on schedule, but we aren’t always able to and sometimes face circumstances that are beyond our control. For the late arrival, I’d like to extend to you...

a compensation offer of $35.00 as a gesture of good faith. The contract states that the move started at 3:15 pm and was completed at 8 pm, and you signed the bill of lading agreeing to both start and end time. Labor time is calculated from start time to end time, and you are indeed on the clock for all the time in-between including travel. The travel fee charged separately covers the time you are not on the clock for labor, from the time we leave our facility until arrival to the pickup, and also the trip from your destination back to our facility. The labor time of 4 hours is charged at $139 per hour for a total labor charge of $660.25. The one-time flat fee for travel not included in the labor time is charged at a flat rate of $173.75. Your total labor plus travel fee is $834.00. In addition to the aforementioned charges, you were also charged a material fee for 5 large boxes, each box was charged at $8.50 bringing the total cost of your move up to a final charge of $876.50. Furthermore, we have no control over your bank or credit card company declining or approving charges. The time it takes you to complete payment is part of you labor charge and in this case all charges have been found to be accurate.

On October 17th I hired EZ Movers to move my property to Iowa, the movers told us it would take up to 14 days to arrive in Iowa. After 2 weeks no delivery so we started calling EZ Movers and told us it will be in Iowa by Friday November 4th . No delivery so we called again and was told it's been delayed and it's on its way, should be there by the weekend at the latest. Now it's Monday November 14th still no delivery and was told should be there by Thursday November 17th. We have nothing and need our stuff! This isn't good business practice and we as consumers are very upset on how they conduct business.
Thank you

EZ Movers completed a local move for me from downtown Chicago to Logan Square. I was really impressed with the professionalism of the staff. I got a accurate quote and the crew wasted no time in getting the move completed on time and without damages. Truly impressed and highly recommended.

Where do I begin!

Our move date was set for 5/1/15. We were asked to give an inventory of the items we had. We gave the list and realized we left a few items out so we called and had our list updated. The updated list was sent to us. My husband and I took the beds apart and even took it out of the bedrooms so it was all just easy to haul out. We had everything packed and ready t haul out. We even took the recliners apart for ease of move. Moving date arrived and the office called that they were going to add a 4th man to the job because of the 5 boxes and 2 bicycles we added (a few days ago). I advised them that we will not pay for an additional man. My husband and I decided to make 2 trips in the am and we took 9 boxes from the 25 I had advised. Putting us below what we advised. They were 1 hour and 15 minutes late. They arrived with 4 men even after I told them we were only paying for the three we were quoted especially since we decreased the load. The crew lead immediately says this is going to take longer than the 3.5 hours we were quoted and I asked why? he said of there is a lot of stuff in here and I said there isn't a lot of stuff in here but what do you need from me. He said that he needed me to sign a document authorizing them for 5 hours. I said okay fine and signed it. I went to our second stop down the street and my husband calls me that the crew member said he had no idea there was a second stop and oh this is going to be a lot more money. I went back and said what do you mean you didn't know it's right here on my quote so he stutters and says oh I have to contact the office and work stops. So he starts working again. They cleared out the apartment in 50 minutes!!! So I was wondering why he said he needed 5 hours (especially since he claimed he didn't know there was another stop) We arrive at the second stop. He starts saying oh I don't have room for all of this I'm sorry I can't take it. I said what do you mean Everything here is on my list . We moved all this stuff in a smaller truck than the one you have here. He didn't want to do a checklist with me of what was on the list and went to call the office. So I called the office as well. The office said He never said they didn't have room he said he doesn't have enough time so I walked outside had him on speaker and asked did you or did you not say you didn't have room? he said yes but and I cut him off and said so what do you mean he didn't say that he just admitted it so then he says "uh uh uh You have double of what you said and I said okay why don't we go over the list and check off with your crew what is here to see if I missed something and If I missed something you can leave it behind. He didn't want to do that. Of course he didn't because they were just asking me to authorize them another trip and knew they were trying to scam me! They said I had to pay them right there and then or they were going to unload my stuff. The entire time they had excuses and I confronted them. So I told them I will authorize more hours even though it only took them 50 minutes to clear out the firsts place as long as long as you send an email to the email we have been confirming everything through that you will reimburse us if it takes less than what you are stating. He said okay he will put it on his document and I said no way there is no copier and he is just a contractor You can say he acted on his behalf and not yours. Send me the email. He said fine all upset about it. Then a few minutes later the crew lead comes to me and says I'm sorry miss we are being instructed to unload the truck, They unloaded everything in my second stop! So we had to sleep on the floor with our pets in the old apartment and ask the owner for an extra 2 days while we squared this away. When I mentioned that I would be calling my attorney I then receive a call from the manager who was previously yelling at me over the phone saying he was very sorry and boy was his tone different. I told him off because at this point my stress level was unbearable. Who does this to people! EZ Movers does! I hope people consider looking elsewhere for their moving needs because they are definitely scamming people. Thankfully we squared it away with another moving company who was so nice and handle it. I will not mention their name so no one thinks I'm advertising for them. I just hope this review makes people realize if using this company is the best option. I don't like writing bad reviews but these people have forced me to post this everywhere that I can to ensure others know to beware.

our sincerest apologies for the dissatisfaction regarding the clients move experience. We make every effort to inform the client of all our terms and conditions, including delivery spreads and coverage options. We emailed a confirmation letter containing all of this information and the client signed...

and returned the document, acknowledgment their agreement and understanding of the content within. The client was given a zero deductible coverage option, which the client waived. During transportation, we understand that damage is possible despite our many efforts to prevent it and this is the very reason why relocation insurance is important. Unfortunately, client opted for a coverage level that requires a deductible in case of damage rather than opting for the zero deductible option. The client has made an insurance claim for the damage and compensation for the damage has been offered to the client according to their elected coverage. EZ Movers regrets the client’s dissatisfaction with the move.

EZ movers did a fantastic job with my move. Super hardworking and professional crew members that went above and beyond to excel on completing my move. The quoted price was higher than the final price and the move was a success. I highly recommend this company for moves for their reliability and price.

Excellent movers! The movers showed up on time and took good care of our stuff. The guys were very quick compared to other moves we've had. Everything went extremely smooth.

With all the anxiety and stress of moving, I highly recommend going with E-Z Movers. They will take care of you, and make your move as effortless as possible. Thanks Gentlemen!"

I apologize for the delay in refunding the $100 deposit. The transaction has already been submitted and the return was completed successfully.

Our binding estimate came in nearly $2000 higher than they stated. On top of that, they were nearly a week late from their guaranteed date of arrival. I picked EZ Movers because they claimed to be professional movers trained in the latest industry practices. What I got during pickup was people pestering my family about a tip for 4+ hours. On delivery, I got a driver, 2 high school kids picked up at a gas station and an older man found the previous day on Craigslist. Not what I would call professional by any means. Whenever I attempted to get updates on the planned delivery and whereabouts of my stuff, I got round about and vague answers.
