Review: I was charged twice. I was supposed to get a 5 day free trial, could cancel by phone and it wouldn't cost me anything. So, I called the phone number listed at their website to cancel before the 5 days, and of course, that number "was experiencing technical difficulties. Try again." I could cancel on line, but it would cost me $1.00 ($.99 plus $.01). OK, - I got suckered, but I decided to pay the $1.00 so I wouldn't be charged even more. Well, I get my bill, and I was charged twice--two separate charges for the same thing. After reading the customer reviews, it seems they charge everybody twice, and the customers never get their money back. This company is devious, deceitful, lies, and steals. I understand it is only $1.00 from me, but on behalf of all the other customers that have been taken advantage of, I am filing a complaint. I have tried both of their phone numbers, and of course, they don't work. THIS COMPANY NEEDS TO BE PUT OUT OF BUSINESS IMMEDIATELY. THEY ARE A SCAM, MONEY-STEALING BUSINESS.Desired Settlement: I want my $2.00 back. It was an intentional charge on their part to make me pay. If I was able to use their phone to cancel, I wouldn't have been charged anything. However, since I had to use their email, I was charged $1.00. What is really wrong is I was charged twice. THAT IS SO WRONG!!! And after reading customer reviews, it seems almost everyone is charged twice and they never get their refund.

Review: I signed up for this site which is for online books, music, etc. Says free to sign up and will not charge for anything unless I buy something. A couple of weeks later, I see a charge to my card, from them, for $34.95. I then call and ask for a refund. They agreed to give me a refund, but it will not be back into my account until 30 business days go by! I feel this site is a scam, and they took my money with no explanation of why, and refuse to give it back. Review: My credit card has been charged recurring charges to a website www.doitplay.com, with Fang Media LLC listed as their US office.

Beginning 12 June 2013, my card has been charged 9 times, the first 2 for $1.94, the following 7 for $34.95, each with an associated foreign transaction fee. The total of all charges is $253.42.

I have no previous knowledge of this company and have never done business with it in any of its forms. Its website indicates it is a site for video games. I have not purchased or participated in video games at any point in my life, from this or any other company, and there are no other authorized card users on this account.

The physical card is still in my possession. It is clear that Fang Media has allowed someone to create an account and use this stolen credit card number without verifying ownership and billing address, and likely without requiring the CVC.Desired Settlement: Full refund of $253.42, cessation of all further charges.

Review: Discovered 5 charges of $34.95 on my debit card. The charges have been monthly since July 22, 2013. I have no relationship with this business and have never authorized them to charge my credit card. The charges appear as being from Mediatow.net. There is a phone number to call included with the charge and I am offered the option of cancellation but am explicitly told that a refund is not available.Desired Settlement: I would like a complete refund of all charges to my account.

Review: I was online looking for course study book and could not locate it. I received an email shortly after saying they had the book for download and to sign up on their website. I did so and of course they wanted a credit card. I needed the book, so I gave them my info and when I did, no book. I started looking at questions people asked them about why they were charged anyway and I went ahead and immediately cancelled my account. I kept the cancellation email. I think it was just a trick to get you to sign up on their site so they can start billing you. They did not have my book and I think they should not be allowed to send emails to people saying they have what they are looking for and then don't have it.Desired Settlement: I would like someone to check and see what they are doing is legal. If not, I would like for them to stop.

Review: I was directed to what I believe is a subsidiary of theirs, Mediabuz.net, from another site in order to view a particular news video. Because Participant Media (a reputable company) directed me to Mediabuz I completed Mediabuz's registration form that claimed their was not fee but required a credit card because their catalog was copyrighted material--this was their policy. Mediabuz said there would be no charges but after entering my debit card info, the next page informed me that there was an approximate $36 charge. I then clicked on the "free" membership arrow but was taken to a UNICEF donation site telling me that in order to join Mediabuz I had to donate. I then clicked the back arrow, returned to the previous screen, and clicked on a link labeled as "cancel account." I was then taken to another page to confirm the cancelation but that there is a $1 charge to cancel the "free" membership. I am now uncomfortable that they have my debit card info and I am convinced that their business plan is based on confusing "promises" and misinformation, as well as charging for services never ordered or wanted. And to charge a cancelation fee is ridiculous.Desired Settlement: a letter from Mediabuz and its parent company as well as one from Fang Media LLC, if not the parent company, guaranteeing the destruction of, the no longer use of, and no transfer of my personal information by any outside parties, without my consent.

A wholesale change in their respective business practices.

Review: I signed up for a free trial and did not realize the trial would convert to a $34.95 per month membership. As soon as I saw the charge hit my account, I called the customer service number and simply requested a refund and that my membership be cancelled because I did not want the service. Most companies will honor this request but Fang Media/mediatow.net did not. The customer service representative told me that refunds could not be given and I asked to speak to a manager. She said a manager was not available. I told her I'd be calling again later to speak to a manager or I'd report them to Revdex.com. She told me to go ahead and report them to Revdex.com and hung up on me.Desired Settlement: I simply want the monthly charge to be refunded to my card.
