A no-nonsence, one stop shop for holiday travelI actually found a cheaper flight with another provider and the folks at FairGeeks (Ben and Phillip) said they would cancel my booking and allow me to get the better flight because they didn't offer that flightWhat a bummerAnyway, I will be doing business with them in future and I really appreciate the friendliness especially after I chose to fly with another carrier that they didn't have a business relationship with

Hey,
I would like to Appreciate Faregeek customer service agent that is Ben ***,he has great knowledge and great way of talking,he knows how to deal with customers but he is working as a customer service executive and I think somebody should promote him...he is great guy...keep up good work Ben.!!

I had the BEST experience with Fare Geek and the customer service personnel...I bought a GREAT price ticket from London to Atlanta the day before traveling and everyone helped to make it happen --- especially Phillip! I am very grateful to them, will use them again, and recommend them!

Review: I purchased a flight ticket through faregeek.com on 11/18 and I got confirmation that my ticket has been approved on the next day. I also found my reservation on airline's website, however, I received an email from faregeek.com that my reservation has been cancelled for no reason today. I tried to call customer service, no one ever picked up the phone, and no one reply my email either!Desired Settlement: I want to have my flight ticket back on same day, same time, same airline, same price.

Review: My cousin booked a flight for me through Faregeek.com to travel to Senegal to visit my sister who was volunteering in the [redacted]. Due to the Ebola outbreak, she had to be evacuated with a possible return. On September 2, 2014 my cousin contacted Faregeek.com to inquire about cancelation, in case my sister was unable to return to the country. He was sent and email confirming a $175 (inclusive of taxes and fees) cancelation penalty. It was recently confirmed that my sister will not be able to return as the outbreak has yet to be contained. I contacted faregeek.com yesterday, October 1st, 2014 to follow through with the cancelation. At that time, I was told the cancelation fee would be $500, but when I quoted the email, I was told the cancelation fee would be $300. I responded that the fee that was quoted to us was $175. The representative I was speaking with, Boston, replied that he would call me within 24 hours. He did not. I called faregeek again and was told by a different representative that now told the cancelation penalty would be $460. At this time I requested to speak with a supervisor. The new representative indicated he would have a supervisor call me in 15 minutes. This did not happen. I am now unable to reach anyone at the company.Desired Settlement: At this time, I expect to pay the $175 cancelation penalty that was quoted to me. This would entitle me to a refund of $1045.

Review: We booked four seats to visit family overseas, it has been three days since received a confirmation however no tickets have been issued. When I phoned the customer centre several times I was told it would be issued in two hours, not very helpful at all.Desired Settlement: This business should not be operating as it has many bad online reviews against them.

Review: I have booked my ticket through faregeek.com and I had to cancel the ticket due to medical condition. I submitted my doctors certificate for cancellation reason. They claimed that airline rejected the request and charged for $500. when I reached out to Emirates they confirmed that they didn't deny the request and it's all done by faregeek. Now airline is crediting after 500$ cancellation and faregeek is charging another 500$ for cancellation. It's total rip off.Desired Settlement: Refund your charge of $500 on top of airline cancellation fee

Review: During the January-February 2014 timeframe, My wife and I purchased TAM airline tickets to Brazil for June 12th 2014, returning on June 25, 2014. On June 9th, 2014 I contacted TAM to verify that our flight was still scheduled for departure as agreed and was notified by TAM that the Company had made changes to its flights during the month of March 2014 and our flight was pushed back to June 11th, 2014 as opposed to June 12th, 2014. TAM further told us that it had notified faregeek.com of the change during March 2014. Faregeek.com never notified us of the change and never provided us with alternative flights. When contacted on June 9th, 2014, the day I found out about the change from TAM, faregeek.com stated that they had communicated the change to us via email but was unable to furnish proof of the email sent and then proceeded to act like my phone call to them (on June 9th, 2014) served as their notification to us of the change. Even then, no attempt was made to accomodate our original travel date. As a result, I will end up incurring additional costs to either book last minute lodging for an extra day or book a last minute flight for the original travel date of June 12th 2014.Desired Settlement: I would like faregeek.com to pay for the additional costs incurred for lodging, food, salary and travel costs for the extra travel day I was forced into. I will maintain transactional evidence of all expenses incurred (via receipts andcredit card statements) to submit upon request.

Review: I booked a trip to Mexico through FareGeek - everything on the way there was perfect. The problems began to arise when I was unable to get to the airport location due to the hurricane, therefore I had to change my flight from Sunday to Monday. After trying to get in touch with the company numerous times without success, the call finally went through. I explained my situation to them and even though I was stuck because of a natural disaster they still made me pay the $200 change fee along with the fee to switch my flight. I received an e-mail confirming the changes to Monday- mind you there was no mention of contacting them to make sure the booking was confirmed. When I arrived at the airport Monday, my reservation was not in the system and the customer service representative at AeroMexico was not able to change it themselves because the booking was encrypted. After once again, having to try and reach Faregeek and failing a number of times, I finally got in touch with them. To my reservation not existing the customer service representative simply stated that they were not able to secure the booking and that I could re-book for a fee of around $800. USD. Needless to say I was shocked at the lack of professionalism - I received no e-mail notifying me that the booking wasn't secured, no phone call either. I let them know and they simply said that they advise customers to call to double check their booking went through - but the representative I spoke to and the e-mail made absolutely no note of that. They were able to secure another booking for me for around $592.00 USD - which I still found ludicrous because it was THEIR mistake - not mine and I was stranded due to the hurricane. (No flights were cancelled out of BJX- but I was in another part of the country, unable to get to the airport the following day due to the torrent of rain and wind)Desired Settlement: Full refund due to the severity of unprofessionalism in the company. I travel a lot, this wasn't the first time I had to change a flight ticket so I know how change and rebooking fees work but this whole experience was jaw-dropping at their lack of professionalism. First and last time I will ever be booking through Faregeek.com.

Review: Booked a flight through fare geek.com on 3/16/2015. For the amount of 493.00. They sent me an email with the booking information after I called them stating I had not received this information. The same day I contacted Delta airlines and they said that my flight was confirmed. Today, 03/29/2015 I was contacted by fare geek.com and was told that my reservation had been on hold pending the confirmation of my credit card, and that during this time the cost of the flight had gone up to over $600 dollars. I was angry and said that I would not pay that amount and that I had never had any problems with my credit card. He then immediately said he could book the flight for $520. I told him this was unethical and that I wouldn't pay and to cancel the booking, which he did. Luckily I was able to book the flight directly through Delta for $ 467.00. My card went through immediately as usual. Faregeek deliberately held back my credit card submission to force me to book the flight at a higher rate. To get my flight through Delta I had to book the return flight for a day later as my original return flight was already booked. This is costing me an additional 150.00 in hotel fees that I would like fare geek.com to compensate me forDesired Settlement: As stated above, due to their unethical practice of withholding my credit card submission in order to increase the cost of plane fair I would like to be reimbursed 150.00 in hotel fees that I have to pay as I was unable to book a flight as was originally planned

Review: I booked a flight to Atlanta using this website. On one of the confirmation pages there is a prompt asking you if you would like to opt for the best price/customer satisfaction guarantee. I read the text thoroughly and no where next to this prompt or on the final confirmation page is a fee associated with this. It was not until I was looking over my reservation email did I see that they charged me an additional $14.99. I called customer service and they told me that this was only a reservation and the flight was not confirmed so they could not do anything at that time, once the flight was confirmed and my card was charged I would have to call back and they would be able to refund me. I called back after I received my confirmation email and the second representative I spoke with, [redacted], told me that it was after the 24 hour period and this could not be refunded. I asked to speak with a supervisor and [redacted] said no one was there, I then asked for the corporate number and he told me "they don't have a corporate office"Desired Settlement: I would like to receive a refund for the $14.99 because I was not made aware at the time of purchase, AND I would like them to be forced to state the price of this next to the prompt so that this doesn't happen to anyone else.

Review: I have concern regarding one of the travelling agency "Faregeek". I have booked my ticket online and their headoffice is located in Delaware, USA.

What happened is that I booked my ticket last year for $1005 on NOV 08, 2014 but I cancelled one day before which is 07th Nov. I talked to the agent he said there is $250 for cancellation and you will get $755 refund back from airline. I said that's fine.

After 2-3 daysI see another charge of $250 on my card which means I have to pay $250+$250. Then I called them again and guy said wait for the refund. I called so many times and then again they said you will get $755 refund only. After that I talked to the guy name Maddy, he said he is working on descripency amount.

I waited for 2 months then 3 months and now more than 4 months and still didn't get my refund. I called them more than 30 times within that time period and every time I call they make execuse. Initially they said it takes 4-8 weeks then they said it's pending with airline and now they it's been refunded from last 20 days but I don't have my money yet.

I'm so frustrated from their service and they don't even pickup the phone half an hour every time. They keep saying your money has been refunded and talked to Airline again and they said talk to your booking company.Desired Settlement: Give me refund of $1005 and interest on top of it for which they wasted my hours and hours.

Review: booked a flight through their online services. sent in card verification. spoke to an agent to confirm they received the verification and was told everything was confirmed and that I will be issued a ticket within two hours.

the confirmation number for the airline itself showed that the reservation was reserved and confirmed so I thought everything was ok. after calling the airline a few days later to verify baggage allowance I was told that a reservation is there and that a ticket was not issued so they were unable to help me. I called the airline again and after waiting for an hour on hold an agent assured me that I will be receiving a confirmation email with the ticket number within 2 hours. after two hours I called again hearing the same lies, that continued all day until finally after 8pm someone told me a ticket is being issued and I will receive it in 20 minutes. when I called they told me the fare expired and they cannot issue me a ticket. I was told a manager would call me to rectify the problem and that never happen. the next day I receive a call and after asking to be transferred to a legal department they said they cant do that as the call is not a transferable call and promised me that I will receive an email with details to the legal department. I sent several emails and no response. this company seems to be scam artists from India. I feel like my personal information is at risk and has been compromised as after they received verification of credit card and ID they were unable to honor their request.Desired Settlement: desired outcome is to be reimbursed for time lost contacting the agency. to be reimbursed for overage of fees incurred after having one week of my time wasted and flight fares increasing drastically.

Review: Price listed during booking for my flight ticket does not match the charge on my credit card.

I was charged MORE on my credit card than the actual amount stated on the website.

This company also uses credit card information to charge their customers twice for completely different flights.

Make sure you make your purchase on this website with a credit card since the bank can cancel any malicious charges.

Thereafter, keep your eyes on your bank statements.

This is the only way to protect yourself in the event of a phony charge.

Review: The faregeek website advertises that if you download their app, you will receive an additional 15% discount on your flight. I did download the app and proceeded to book a flight, but no such additional 15% discount was applied to the cost of my fare.Desired Settlement: I would like my fare cost to be recalculated to reflect the 15% discount and have the difference in fares refunded to me.

Review: I purchased an $800 flight from faregeek last year, which was initially rejected by faregeek as the company stated that my credit card is a United States card and could not be accepted into their system. I canceled my travel plans. Later faregeek charged my credit card for the flight and did not send a confirmation email. I found out about the charge when I reviewed my credit card statement over a week later. Because I canceled my travel plans, I could not use the ticket. I contacted faregeek and they provided me credit for the flight to be able to be used within one year of the original flight. I asked for policies regarding the credit, but was not provided with any, as they stated the credit code is all I would need to purchase another flight. Since that time, I have made new travel plans and attempted to buy a ticket again from faregeek using the credit. The credit code did not work, so I called and the faregeek agent told me I would be charged $379 in "taxes." This was not stated to me previously and I did not receive any policies regarding credits. When I complained regarding the new "taxes," they lowered them by about $80. I asked how taxes could be lowered as taxes should be a set amount, but faregeek was not able to answer that question. I contacted the airline the flight was scheduled for originally, Singapore airlines, and they stated there would be no new taxes, but that faregeek needed to be the vendor to reschedule a flight. When I contacted faregeek again, they continued to say there were new taxes that I would need to pay for in order to use the credit. I feel I got wrong twice, as the original ticket was initially denied, then later charged somehow, and now they are asking me to pay more in taxes to set a new flight.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund as faregeek has over $800 from my original purchase. I feel the initial charge to my card was not valid as they had declined it initially, and sent me an email stating so, but later changed my card again without permission.

Review: Myself along with 3 friends made a reservation over the phone for a flight to Athens. We were told we would receive an email with the details and charges, and that if we agree to the charges we must reply to the email stating 'I agree' to book the flight. We received the email and did not reply with 'I agree' since the details were incorrect and the email was suspicious.

Our credit cards were still charged and we were told we cou I do not receive a refund. After some persistence I was told it could be 10-12 weeks to receive a refund. One of the other travelers was t old she will not receive a refund.Desired Settlement: I would like an immediate refund and investigation into the practices if this company.

Review: I have cancelled a flight reservation in February 2015 and they double charged me the cancellation fees. Have tried numerous time to have someone look into this issue and got the same result "We'll check it out and get back to you" and they never did. I've talked to seven people, explaining the situation again and again, sent emails, credit card statement that shows the charge and the refund without avail. They lied to me that they are waiting on airline or that they don't have all the information and send it again. They passed me from person to person, from department to department and at the end disconnect me. Every single time I've spent about 30-45 on the phone trying to get to the bottom of it. This is getting out of hand and ridiculous at the same time. For almost three months I've been trying to get my money backDesired Settlement: I want my Credit Card to be credited back the extra cancelation fee of $700 they've charged me + $50 it cost me to borrow money

Review: I booked a round trip airfare on 2/19/15 @ 1 am for $436. Received an email with a confirmation number as well as a statement that my reservation was "confirmed" and I would receive my e-tickets via email within a few days, My flight was scheduled to leave 3/3/15. When I didn't receive my e-tickets by 2/24/15, I telephoned them to find out why. I was on hold for at least 45 minutes each of the 6 calls I made on 2/24/15 and 2/25/15 to make sure that I would get my tickets in time. The first 2 calls on 2/24/15 they tried to say that my reservation was cancelled because the airline had changed the price and they couldn't bill my card and they stated that they called me 3 times and emailed me 4 times to inform me. I received none of these so called messages. An agent [redacted] wanted me to pay more for the same airfare...but while on the phone I went to their site and the same ticket was listed at my original price....so he recommended that we completely cancel the original 2/19/15 reservation and that I rebook through the website....which I did while I was on the phone with him for the same flight and same price and he told me that I should receive my e-tickets within 2-3 hours....Never eceived them.....another 45 minute wait on hold to tell me that they were still working on my reservation and it should be done within another 3 hours....Still didn't receive them.....another 45 minute wait on hold to tell me that they were still working on my reservation and it should be done within another 3 hours. The next morning still no e-tickets...so ANOTHER long wait to be told by a CSR [redacted] that it takes at least 24 hours for e-tickets to be issued and that she was putting a rush on my tickets and had emailed the ticketing department and I should have them by that evening 2/25/15. When I called on the evening of 2/25/15 the CSR told me my tickets had still not been issued and that the prices on the website are always incorrect and that only the CSR's had the correct prices....so even when you place a reservation on the website and get the confirmation email "confirming" it and the price ....you should call faregeek.com to confirm your reservation because the price you were given on line will be incorrect. And he went on to say that now the ticket I had been trying to purchase from 2/19/15 @ 1am to 2/25/15 11pm for $426 has now risen to $530 because the airline changed the flight price.

It feels like a bait and switch...they show you this great price, you purchase the tickets and they email you confirmation that you have it....but you never receive your tickets so you have to call them and when you do...low and behold... the airline has raised the price......

I do not feel that a customer should have to pay extra when the company has made the mistake. I did everything I was supposed to do and yet they want me to pay the price.Desired Settlement: The difference between the price I was "confirmed" 3 times through emails to have paid for this ticket and what I actually had to pay to book this exact flight on another website. Maybe an apology for all of the stress and anxiety I was put through to scramble at the very last minute to find a flight

Review: I booked my flights on Dec1, 2014, received a confirmation of my flight at 10:37 Pm. On 12/4/2014, Thursday, I received a email stating to call the delaware office regarding my reservation (68763E)which I failed to see and did not call back. I received a email from faregeek on 12/9/14 stating my reservation has been cancelled. I called the call center after a long hold, I was told that my reservation was cancelled due to credit card verification issues. I asked him if he can robook my ticket and after a hold the customer service representative said I will be called by another service representative. I was called by another service representative explaining me that my flight that I booked and was confirmed via email was cancelled since that flight was cancelled and was not available. He started giving me options with different other flights. I looked up on the internet and said the airlines and flight that I booked my ticket for is still scheduled to leave at the same time/same day. Finally, since I got a call back from service representative in a middle of working, I didnot have time to go through 500 other options leaving different day and coming different days so I said ok refund my credit card.

Now, I am looking to book back on same flight through other websites and the price has jumped from 3156 over 4100.00$$. the refund will take over 3 weeks.Desired Settlement: I am asking to refund my credit card ASAP since I have to book another ticket for 1 adult and 2 kids, the prices have already gone high and pay the $1000.00 difference that

I have to pay now due to poor quality service and not standing up to promise that the website promised, OR book me on the same flight that I got the confirmation for the same dates with no extra fee being charged.
