Review: I've been contact the company Faregeek since this matter starts 8/25/14 for the last two months I been sending emails and

making phone calls and none of one could help me with the double charge ticket which is $711. I

spoke with [redacted] one of the customer service representative all this

time about this matters and finally he told me that I have to contact the

bank for the refund because Faregeek will not refund the money to the

credit card. I spoke to the Bank of America and the American Airlines and I explained

to them the problem I been going through, both of the companies told me the same thing that

they made the mistake and they are responsible to refund the $711 to the credit card because is their fault. I have enough proves to show that this company is stilling money from me and who knows how many more customers have the same problem I paid the ticket cancellation fee of $200 dollars and they promised to me that they will refund the $711 for the canceled ticket and the double charge ticket too one the have the cancellation fee clear up.

Booking [redacted] Hope you can help me resolving this matters.

Review: I bought the tickets at Faregeek.com company from NY (John F Kennedy) - Mexico City, MX – Cancun, MX on Jan,27,2015, flight NN 403 and 583 Aeromexico . Received confirmation of payment and electronic tickets and fully paid for the tickets.

However, due to the hurricane in NY 27 January, the flight number 403 NY-Mexico city was cancelled. The trip to Mexico has lost its meaning for me – other times of the flights does not suit me.

I contacted the Agency Faregeek.com with the request to refund my money for the cancelled flight . They told me to all claims sent to the Airline.

I requested in to Aeromexico . Aeromexico told to contact the Agency on this issue – i.e. the one who receives the money, and returns them.

Currently the Agency is ignoring my emailsDesired Settlement: Full refund of my money

Review: I think their business is a scam or very malicious.I booked the flight to Washington DC throught their homepage, December 1st.Immediately after booking, I received e-mail from them saying that my reservation was confirmed. However, a day before my departure day to Washington, I got e-mail from them again and they said "your flight has been successfully cancelled" although I had not done anything related to the cancellation. Neither their website nor e-mail contain any information about why my flight was cancelled. In addition to that, they said they are going to charge me the fare because they say that all tickets sold at their website are non-refundable and I agreed with the terms & conditions. Desired Settlement: I would like to get refund from them. In addition, at many websites like Trip Adviser etc., many people are complaining about the similar situations. I also would like search engines of flight tickets not to list tickets from faregeek in order to decrease the number of possible victims.

Review: Here is my horrible experience with travel agent Faregeek and Skylink USA.

I reserved my travel tickets via Faregeek for my trip to India for $4500 back in November 2014. Due to several personal issues I cannot travel per the reservation. I called Faregeek to update my travel schedule. I was told there will be $300 cancellation charges per ticket and any price difference for the new dates. I worked with the travel agent on phone for almost 2 hours and I was given a quote of $3700 for the change. I approved this change and Faregeek assured me that a new ticket would be re-issued in 24 hours. It has been 1 week since my conversation and I still have not received any confirmation. I have spoken to several Faregeek agents and no one has been able to provide an answer. I called up the airlines to find out if it would truly take this long and airlines confirmed that date change is not complicated and they would approve any such changes within minutes.

My battle with Faregeek is not over yet. I want my money back for all the mental torture provided with no results.Desired Settlement: ASAP

Review: I purchased four tickets to travel to Colombia for July on the month of April. After less than a week of purchasing the tickets a medical issue arise and we had to cancel the trip. We paid close to $300.00 for the cancellation and we still have not seen our money. It is close to $2,000.00 and I have called everyday for the past month and they either hung up on me or leave me on hold and never come back to the line. I have spoken to: [redacted] and they all say the same "not to worry" they are trying to resolve the issue with the airline. I personally contacted the airline and I have in writing from them that I do not have any penalty to cancel the tickets and that the travel agency should reimburse the entire amount I paid for.Desired Settlement: Please assist me getting my money back I am going through a lot and they are adding a lot of stress in my life. I need my money back.

Review: Hello,

On October 14 I had purchased two plane tickets from faregeeks.com and I received immediate e-mail confirmation. The next day faregeeks.com e-mailed saying that they cannot process the tickets because phone billing information on the credit card did not match. The information that my credit card had on file matched what I inputted on faregeeks.com, however I didn't have on file a home phone number so I had immediately provided my credit card(American Express) with my phone number and provided the same information to faregeeks.com hoping that there won't be any more issues. After that,I have been on the phone for hours with multiple representatives from faregeeks.com(Annie, [redacted]-just to name a few) who were claiming that they were trying to confirm the home phone number I was already speaking to them from. Credit card also confirmed it was the correct information.

While they were claiming that they were verifying my phone number, American Express confirmed that they had already checked the information with them, and there was in fact already a verification charge on my credit card coming from them.

Finally, after hours of speaking to them on the phone they said all the information was verified and my ticket will be issued in the next few hours, before midnight.

Because the tickets were still not issued I called again in the morning and they said that they need to cancel as they were not able to process my tickets because of the credit card issue.

At this time I had no choice, but to go and purchase other tickets for a much higher price, as prices were increasing while they were claiming they are processing my charge.Desired Settlement: I would like faregeeks.com to cover the difference in price I had to pay for my purchase because they did not honor the confirmed booking I had with them.

My credit card had confirmed the billing information so there was no reason for them to cancel my booking and not to honor what they had already confirmed.

The difference in price I had to pay because of faregeeks.com was 619$.

I also hope they will not do this to other customers.

Thank you and I appreciate you taking the time to look into this.

Regards, [redacted]

Review: I purchased flight tickets with faregeek online. They sent me an itinerary for my flight details but they never sent me a ticket # or an e- ticket to verify with the airlines that it was active. A week after I booked they sent me an e mail that my CC had been declined. I verified with my bank and they in fact had deducted the funds. So I emailed them back the verification and asked for my e- ticket( all emaisl I still have). After 5 days of constant calling hours of holding they insisted the funds had not been deducted and they needed to charge my card again. I asked my bank if they could with hold the funds because they had just been giving me the run around and I needed to make sure I had a flight reservation, so they did. Now 3 months later they came back and deducted the 511.31 and are stating they provided the services, which in fact they didn't. They stole from me and they are getting away with it. how is that possible? This company is the biggest headache I have ever had and people need to be aware.Desired Settlement: I would like for the company to refund my 511.31 since they were unable to provide the services. I have all the emails that were sent between the company and I. It is clear they stole from me.

Review: I have purchased round trip flight ticket (All Nippon Airline) for my winter vacation on 2013 from Faregeek website. When I try to online check-in few hour before my fravel, I was told from ANA that my ticket had been cancelled for both round trip. I tried to call faregeek but they were off office hour so, I had to book another flight from DELTA. I start emailing Faregeek since next day December 26th 2013 to ask about refund and what happen. The first email I got sais They didn't cancell the ticket. And I have argued through several email, they said it was cancelled ANA and booked United Airline ticket to me. They blame I didn't show up on United Airline counter. I check my email everyday and had no idea they changed my airline. Later on, Faregeek admit their mistake and says working on Refund with Airline. Since then, everytime I call, email I don't get any answer or ask to wait. Everytime I call, they told me to wait and someone will check that case and give me a call back. It's been more than a year now. I'm continuously calling or emailing them with no responce. It seriously stressful and I won't be able to sleep.Desired Settlement: Full Price Refund

Review: I have recently booked a business class ticket (on Qatar Airways) through a search engine (www.momondo.com) which led me to [redacted]. At first there were no issues with the business, however, due to work situation, I needed to cancel the trip and that is when I started having problem. At first, the representative told me that I would get a refund (which will show up on my bank account statement within 1-2 business cycles) but first I had to pay them $1500 upfront. After I complained about an unreasonably large amount, I was told the it "can be negotiated" That didn’t sound right to me at all, as paying a large sum upfront and waiting that long is not a normal policy. As a frequent domestic as well as an international traveler, I know that the standard airline policy is not as such, especially the amount itself. Each airline and reputable travel agency has a set amount that never changes and further to that, once you pay the cancellation fee, you get the rest of the money right away and not wait for the unreasonable amount of time. Once I put in a call to [redacted], I started getting emails from gentleman called [redacted], however, curiously he had a different email extension – www.faregeek.com, which made me feel even more uncomfortable. When I asked him about the discrepancy, I was told there were sister companies and did business together. Feeling even more uncomfortable, I turned to google, where, to my dismay I have seen nothing but horrific reviews and testaments of scam and money demands. Every customer that complained had mentioned to do NOT give them refund fee as you will never see the rest of the your money back (feel free to check for yourself at [redacted] and http:/[redacted]eviews/www.faregeek.com). While in the process of cancelling the ticket, the situation at work had changed again and I was told I was able to take the trip. When I emailed [redacted] at www.faregeek.com, I was told that the change fee will now be $875 and the difference in fare $1242 (even though the website’s price was much lower). I then called [redacted] representative and was told that my ticket was now completely cancelled and I need to rebook a new one from scratch. When asked to speak to supervisor, I heard nothing but mumbling and then put on half hour hold and eventually got disconnected. As I said before, the reviews are horrific and I was obviously have been scammed and essentially lost close to $5000. …..I have exchange few more emails with [redacted] but got the same mumbling answer or none at all.Desired Settlement: I am begging you for help. I am robbed for almost $5000 - to be exact, the amount is $4917.80 and it is a huge amount for me to lose. Please help!!!

Review: To ehom it may concern,

I, [redacted], booked two tickets through faregeek on march 6.2013.

From NY to Istanbul Turkey.

My father got sick on march 20.2013. He got very ill. He was in life threating conditon.he was in intensive care. The doctor and the hospital provided me paper that he is in bad condition and dont know if he can survive or not. I porvided the company faregeek all the documentation. And asked them to do refund. Faregeek told me that they will do refund but they have to wait the airline "[redacted]" to give the refund to them first. I conatacted [redacted]. And they said, since the payment was done to faregeek directly, faregeek is responsible to do the refund. And they included that my fathers condition qualifies to get the refund. I try to call faegeek but the manager did not get my phone calls. I started to send emails. I went back and forth with different people. Expplained my fathers condition and provided all the paper work. Every single time, I got the same respond. I will get refund in 4-6 weeks. It has been 5 months and I havent recieved my refund back yet. Each ticket was $797.02 and I paid total $1594.04

In canadian funds.

I called my credit card but they said since its more then a month that I didnt call the bank, there is noth that they can do. If I knew that faregeek will cause problem I would have never waitedto all my bank directly. I do want faregeek to pay back my money back. I do have all the emails send to faregeek and do have the prove that they approved the refund. I will be glad to send it to you as well. I will really appreciate your help.Desired Settlement: The business "faregeek " is responsible to do the refund. They have to keep their promise.

Review: My husband and booked a flight to [redacted] through faregeek.com. Due to the civil/political unrest at this time, we have had to cancel our flights. Through conversations with a rep from faregeek, I was told that there would be a $1000 cancellation fee, and that a "Payment Authorization Form" would have to be completed and faxed in order to process the cancellation. We were leary of this request, but after another conversation with a rep, we were told that we did not have to include the CCV number for our card. We were also told that when the faxed was received, we would be sent an email letting us know, so we faxed the form yesterday, 7-9-13 around 11 am. We received no email yesterday, and last night I called (within business hours) and was sent to voice mail. I left a message and my number. As of this morning, 7-10-13, still no email and no return call from yesterday's request for a return call. I called again this morning (at the start of business hours, around 9 am, and again was sent to voice mail.) At this point, I went back to the website to try and find some other method of contact. The email feature DOES NOT WORK. After filling in all the required information and a message, when you hit the send key, a box pops up that says "enter a full name." A full name had been entered, and there's no getting past the box. So, I called my credit card company to put them on alert. There is already a fee "pending" for faregeek since yesterday. If I haven't heard from faregeek by tomorrow morning, the credit card company will investigate from their end.Desired Settlement: We want to make sure that faregeek is legitimate. We also want to make sure that our credit information hasn't been compromised. After reading many distressing reviews about situations with faregeek, I'm wondering how many have reached the Revdex.com and what has been done to improve the service.

HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "Experience travel advisor" was RUDE, incomprehensible, and in a huge hurry to get me off the phone when I was trying to get a refund on an unused ticket. Avoid at all costs!

Review: On the Faregeek.com website, I purchased a ticket from Portland to Denver. I usually don't buy anything extra like insurance, etc., but they had something called "Customer Satisfaction & Best Price Guarantee" which for $14.95 would allow you to change or cancel your ticket up until the day of the flight, as well as matching any lower fare up until the day of the flight.

When I received the email confirmation, it said, "No cancellations or changes", which, of course, surprised me because I had bought this extra thing that WOULD allow me to do those things. On top of that, I did find a lower fare by $20. When I emailed them they didn't respond. I emailed them several more times and also contacted them via the website, and still I did not receive a reply. And according to their site, they return emails within 10 minutes and website messages within 24 hours, but I was never responded to at all. I tried calling them, but no one would pick up. I was on hold for 90 minutes until I finally gave up. I was keen enough to take a screenshot of the lower fare and emailed that to them, but still no response. I then found a different number and I finally got someone on the phone. When I inquired about the extra package I bought (regarding both issues), the "customer support" person said that both things (Cancellations / Changes and Best Price Guarantee) are only good for the same day (i.e. the day I purchased it), which was an outright lie. This person at Faregeek also kept interrupting me and wouldn't let me talk.

First of all, if someone purchases a plane ticket, that means that they already found the lowest fare and are therefore purchasing it. Why would someone pay the fare and then continue looking for a lower fare that same day after they already had a plane ticket? And I only found the lower fare myself because I received an email about it. The fare geek person also said that the extra thing I paid for says "the same day", which I know it didn't because I had read about this extra thing numerous times and would have noticed if it said "same day". If I had noticed "same day", I definitely wouldn't have purchased it.

So after I hung up with him at Faregeek, I checked the website and suddenly the "Customer Satisfaction & Best Price Guarantee" did say "same day". In fact, it was only three lines and "same day" was mentioned twice. I know 100% that they changed it, and of course when I contacted them about it, they ignored me, and they most likely would have just replied, "It always said that." However, as I said, it DID NOT.

So as for "Customer Satisfaction", I couldn't be less satisfied, and they wouldn't match the lower fare either. They did not honor the extra service I paid for AND did a Bait & Switch on top of it. Plus, they never contacted me back after numerous emails and other messages, and a supervisor who was supposed to call me back in the next 30 minutes after the call never did (and I knew they wouldn't).Desired Settlement: I would like the extra $14.95 back that I paid for this guarantee, plus the $20 difference with the lower fare I found (which, again, I have a screenshot of). I would also like to have Frontier Airlines know that they have a 3rd party selling tickets for their flights and are scamming people.

Review: A ticket was booked on FAREGEEK.COM (Mon Aug 5,2013 @ 11:25am) for my son who's stranded in [redacted] for over a week,on his aunt credit card, of $908.47 on [redacted] flight#11 [redacted] on Thurs Aug 8, 2013 @ 3:03pm. Review: I booked a flight with this company because I had to fly out immediately for a family emergency.

I received a confirmation via email. I went to the airport and they said I was never charged therefore the flight was never booked.

At the airport American Airlines booked my return flight for 5am because they said that is what Faregeek had down! My email confirmation says 502pm so even that was WRONG! I wanted to stay with my daughter until Thursday night and unless I pay another 620.00 I have to leave at 5am. WELL, I am not rich so I have to leave.

I understand it's not American Airlines fault, but Faregeek was rude, did not take responsibility and I think Cohen Marshall and Charlotte the supervisor should be reported! I called her 10 times and she never called me back. I emails Cohen because he was my booking agent and he has never contacted me! Their excuse with the rude rep I spoke to on the phone said it never went through because my debit card was declined, which is a FLAT OUT LIE! They screwed up and didn't process the card obviously!Desired Settlement: I think they should honor me with a flight free of charge. It was their fault for not completing the order. Now I have to leave my daughter who was almost blinded by a dog attack!

There is nothing more disrespectful than to be ignored and yelled at and lied to! No one should do business with this company ever! I thought I was calling American Airlines directly how they came up in the first place is beyond me!

Thank you

Review: Bug in the website that leads people to input incorrect and inaccurate information into their flight selections. My return flight was confirmed incorrectly because the website has MARCH proceeding JANUARY rather than obviously FEBRUARY in the month selection process. I have spoken with a "representative/manager" named "[redacted]" who was rude, unhelpful and completely unprofessional.Desired Settlement: Get my flight changed to the correct date without a fee OR refund my money.

Subject: Excessive online service fees

Hello,

What can be done about charging of excessive service fees by Faregeek.com?

http://faregeek.com/

Senario:

My elderly father, [redacted], booked an airline ticket with Faregeek.

E-mail reponse went into junk e-mail folder.

Faregeek employees were not able to find booking in their system.

Jan booked a second airline ticket with Faregeek.

Then issue of e-mail going into junk folder was discovered.

In order to cancel airline ticket CA$ 300.00 service fee was charged by Faregeek, on top of CA $300.00 airline cancellation fee.

Is there a regulation that governs reasonable online service fee charges?

What help does Revdex.com offer to protect consumers against excessive online service fee charges?

Thanks,

[redacted]Desired Settlement: Unspecified

Review: An airline ticket was purchased through Faregeek. It was bogus.Desired Settlement: Fair and complete resolution (i.e. full refund)!

Review: I purchased 4 plane tickets through this company and they continued to inform me through several emails that the credit card I was providing could not be charged therefore they could not issue a ticket.

I continued over several weeks and emails to advise them that there were funds available and that my bank was authorizing the charges but they continued to say they couldnt charge it.

Then my bank said it was indeed charged but they continued to email me that it was not charged and they could not issue me a ticket.

I have started a claim option through my bank and through visa to get my funds back as they said they were sent to this company.

2 days ago I receive an email from faregeek about a change in one of the flights of the reservation which led me to believe this reservation was indeed confirmed.

When I call them and email me they now said it was always confirmed, but they never sent me a full itinerary or confirm it, and by now 2 months later I have already purchased other reservations through lufthansa.

I want a full refund of those tickets that they fail to issue and they fail to inform me that they were reserved.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund for those tickets. I have already purchased other tickets through a different company.
