Was sold Air purification filter that's not working for me and company doesn't want to refund or remove items from AC unit.
I called Frank Gay services to get an estimate to clean my AC ducts and check for mold because I was having a lot of symptoms supporting mold in my home. The technician came and said there was no mold and I didn't need to clean the ducts, he said he had something that works better and Help with my symptoms within 24hrs. He sold me a dual UV system to prevent mold and a photo max purification system to kill bacteria etc and purify air.
I was so desperate to feel better I financed this $4000 offer immediately. Two weeks later I called the company to let them know I was not feeling any better and my symptoms were actually getting worse . I called a mold testing company to come out was told my ducts were dirty and needed cleaning. I was furious at this point because I felt that I was told incorrect information by Frank Gay services in order to purchase a more expensive product. I called and explained the situation and asked to have the products removed and was told by a representative that the General Manager Jay White said this was not an option. I asked why I should pay $4000 for something that's not working for me and that I probably didn't even need in the first place and told them I was giving them an opportunity to correct this wrong before proceeding to the Revdex.com with a complaint and they couldn't have cared less. It's been days and I still have not had anyone try to rectify the situation. This is appalling!! I feel so disappointed and taken advantage of. This is horrible customer service especially by a General Manager. I would like a full refund!!!

Desired Outcome

I would like a full refund for this ridiculous bill of $4000 for products that did not help me in any way whatsoever and I still had to get someone to clean my ducts costing me way more that it should have!

We had purchased a service plan for the AC units when the tech that came out to fix our dryer outlet. So we scheduled the AC tune ups for 5/20/20. The tech Rafael came out and basically inspected the systems ( I have 2 units) did really do any tuning. He alerted us to a capacitor that was starting to fail. He showed us how it measured up to the other units measurements. And recommend that it be replaced. When asked how much he said $331.00 ( with a so called discount) I asked well can I have a breakdown of the how much the part is and how much the labor is? He said that he would have to check with his manager. He went to the van and he came back and told me it's company policy that they don't breakdown the pricing, but his manager said he could apply a second discount bringing the price to $265.00. I did it because my wife gets anxiety and It would stress her out if we didn't fix what need to be fixed. It took less than 10 minutes for him to replace the capacitor and put the panels back on the outside ac units. Later I decided to do some research the capacitor retails on *** for$12.99. So with that said even with a 100% markup on the retail price ($26.00) that means the labor was $239.00 for approximately 10 minutes.

The business has resolved the issues to the customers satisfaction.

This company is not in sync, and lack a level of professionalism and quality, that I thought, we would be obtaining.
At this point. I would love to give them 0 stars, however it's not an option. Let's start with scheduling an appointment- the receptionist quoted me a $19 service call fee. I specifically explained that we needed assistance at a business, the cheapest I've seen for a service call fee for a business, start at $79 & up. The rep re-assured 19 to come out, and advised the tech truck had all supplies needed to fix the issue, he then stated someone will be out between 2 to 6. I'm thinking perfect - we need air ASAP. I received a call around 5 stating they didn't realize it was a business, and that it would be $95, I'm thinking okay, that's not what they told me, but let's see if they can do the job- we need air. To make a long story short, he showed up after 6:30 he didn't come with supplies needed to fix the issue, he then tried to charge me $199 vs $19 or $95, I was quoted over the phone, and now more seriously, my ac unit is leaking from the ceiling,(unit is on the roof) which has caused my tile to cave in, I have a missing tile piece from the AC unit leaking in my ceiling, my floor is soaked, can't blame it on rain, it's not raining outside. We clearly see it leaking from the AC unit, keep in mind - I've been in this building for 3 years and have never had my AC unit to leak, there not sympathetic and customer service has been horrible.

Desired Outcome

I am seeking for someone to correct the damage that has been caused. My AC unit has never leaked and now it's leaking. Less than 12 hours after this company showed up.

I booked an appointment to have an air stack snaked for a backed up kitchen sink. When the technician Tim arrived I explained what I had done and what I needed and he informed me that they are not allowed to go onto the roof of a 2 storey house (the lady that answered the phone did not ask me what kind of home I lived in). I asked Tim if he could snake via the kitchen sink pipes. He wanted to look at the wash out and said that the snake would only make a hole in the blockage and the only option would be to jet it. He said he would "cut me a break" and it would only be $1,000 or $3,000 for the whole house, and conveniently enough he had the jet equipment and a handy extra member of staff in his truck! Having had a bathroom sink snaked via the roof about 2 years ago for $150 I said there was no way I was going to spend a $1,000 and he said he would go and speak to his manager. After 20 minutes of waiting I approached the truck paid Tim the $20 call out fee and said he could leave, he explained that he was writing up a proposal but that snaking would be more expensive, more than $1,000!!! I said don't waste your time and he left. I put in a complaint to the company about their unethical pricing and received a very half hearted apology email. The kitchen sink was snaked by another company this morning took 20 minutes, he charged $120, I gave him $150 and told him to enjoy lunch on me! My tip phone around, their charges are astronomical and clearly their employees are paid on commission as they only want to do was is expensive not what the job necessarily requires. Extremely disappointed

Company pulled 'bait and switch' after agreeing to a price for the work.
On 4/18/2020 my husband and I knew we had a problem with a leak somewhere around our house. We found the leak in a line to the house near the main by the street. Upon further investigation it turned out the leak was under the sidewalk and we needed help. We called a few companies but due to unavailability of the other companies we went with Frank Gay Services ( @frankgayservices #frankgayservices ). Frankie from the company came out within a few hours and assessed the situation. He told us it was going to be a big job because it was under concrete and there was a tree with roots probably causing the problem. After a lengthy discussion (and the tech selling us more than what we needed), we agreed on $2450 for the work and he came back the next day.

The next day he did some diagnostics on the issue and determined the problem was a little worse than he initially thought and that he would have to dig up more concrete than originally planned. I ASKED HIM "are you talking a few hundred dollars more, or $1000 more?" He assured me it would only be a few hundred dollars. I verbally agreed and he continued the work. He temporarily restored water to my house and came back with a new agreement. The new agreement was $980 more than the original. I was shocked! I already asked him if it would be that much, and he explicitly told me 'NO.' Now he is showing me an invoice for almost $1000 more than the original invoice. Upon hearing my disapproval of the new number, he exclaimed that it wasn't $1000 more... and I had to explain to him that $3430 minus $2450 is *almost$1000 and my husband and I did not agree on that.

After expressing my frustration with the situation, I asked him to take the cost of the concrete work off the invoice (because he said it was around $1000 of concrete work) and to put it back to the original price and I would figure it out. He then started talking to me about something completely different, a 'family plan.' I was confused because we had never talked about a 'family plan' service though any of our interactions. He said it was a discount plan that he ASSUMED I would be interested in because I have an air conditioning system. I told him I was not interested in this family plan he never told me about and he told me that he would have to revise the original price because that included the discounts of the family plan that I was declining. He then told me that the original price was going to go up by nearly $300. I was flabbergasted! You're telling me that you are charging me $300 more for a job (where you are doing less than originally planned by the way...) because you ASSUMED I would be ok with it??

I am totally shocked by this company! I was in MAJOR distress with water gushing out of the ground and desperate for help (in a time where we are ALL desperate/anxious/depressed/etc...) and I was hoping that whatever company I chose to do the work would not take advantage of that. I was wrong. I have lost my trust and faith in this company and I WILL NEVER recommend them to anyone. This was poor business and I will not be silent about it. BUYER BEWARE!!! I NEVER thought I would have the 'bait and switch' pulled on me this time of vulnerability.

I ended up having my husband go out and talk to the technician because I was so distraught. He was treated even worse (the tech even had the gall to call him out like HE was the one in the wrong because we were upset). Not only that, but they have already charged us for half of the original $2450 even though they said they wouldn't until this was resolved.

Desired Outcome

I need the owner of the company to contact me directly so I can explain what his technician did. I also want an adjustment of the charges since they were not what we contractually agreed on.

This job was simply underbid; the technician did not realize the scope of the work involved. Our Plumbing Manager has already offered a refund. Let it be made known that this customer is leveraging social media to impact the Frank Gay Reputation: *** and now the Revdex.com. Attachments Provided. As a business in these difficult times, we have a moral imperative to maintain our reputation as part of our responsibility to our employees and our families. No refunds will be made unless the slanderous social media comments are removed. Frank Gay Services has acted in good faith and immediately worked to resolve. I have been in contact with Frank Gay Services on multiple occasions in the past few days. On 4/20/2020 I called the customer service line to request a supervisor to call me back. The customer service people I spoke to were polite and accommodating. A supervisor called me back a few hours later and agreed to meet me at my house to observe and discuss the problem. After arrival, my husband and I discussed our concerns with him. The supervisor, Daniel P, was apologetic and explained to us that the job was underbid. Although my husband and I understand that mistakes happen, the technician did not explain that to us. Instead, he flat out lied to us when he said it would only be a few hundred dollars more and not $1000 more. Furthermore, the supervisor explained that, in an attempt to get the bid lowered, he added the 'family plan' without consulting us ahead of time. THAT is what we had a problem with. IF the technician had explained to us that he made a mistake, we would have gone with the smaller fix at the cheaper price. Additionally, the plumbing manager did not OFFER a refund, he said the money WOULD BE refunded. We have yet to see that charge reversed on our account.

As to the 'leveraging' of social media to impact the Frank Gay reputation: my husband and I decided to post on social media to explain the experience we had with this company. In NO way were we trying to leverage this company for any benefit to ourselves. If anything, Frank Gay Service's reply to this complaint explicitly stated they are holding my money as leverage if I do not remove the negative reviews. We both felt, and still feel, we were wronged and did not want this to happen to anyone else. Furthermore, the bottom of the post on social media explicitly stated that we are still in dispute with this company and would revise the message/review if and when the company reached out to us and we came to a resolution. The company did reach out to us and as of right now, we are still waiting to resolve the issue.

Frank Gay services also called our post slanderous. Slander is defined as 'the action or crime of making a false spoken statement damaging to a person's reputation.' The posts to various social media platforms were carefully written and thought out. The information contained in the posts were truthful and therefore were not slanderous. As stated above, when this issue gets resolved the posts will be revised.

Let me be clear, my husband and I have owned a home in Central Florida for over 10 years. We have dealt with numerous companies with regards to home remodeling/repair and have never once posted such a negative review of a company. We felt what happened to us was unjust, wrong, and we felt taken advantage of. Our plea to social media was not based on slander, it was to educate the public about our negative experience, so they didn't experience the same mistreatment.

We agree that Frank Gay Services has acted in good faith up to this point with the communication we have received thus far. The representatives we have spoken to have been polite and willing to help. As previously stated, multiple times, and in the original post, we will revise the posted reviews when we come to a resolution.

Did not come at time schedule and did not bring the needed equipment for the service. Specific instructions given at scheduling re time and ladder and also confirmed the day prior. Service could not be done and inconvenience to me since leaving work early.

Frank Gay services tech Johnathan completed a thorough inspection of my ductwork. Provided alternative solutions and prices. I had a water heater installed last week. I described some of my past issues and he was able to address those on site as well. I am very pleased with that installation. My hot water gets to the faucet faster. I like the new quality standards.

Frank Gay is out to sell you anything they can. With lousy service to boot. They told us 6 days ago that everything was working fine after a scheduled maintenance service that they scammed us into buying. And6 days later our system was bone dry and they said we had to pay $2500 for new coils. Don't trust these people. They are a sham and unreliable. Untrustworthy. Do not use them. You will get screwed.

Frank Gay was doing repairs at a neighbor's house and knocked down a tree on my property with a box truck. They have not payed to replace the tree.
They came to a neighbors house to do some repair work and hit and uprooted a tree in my yard in the process. This was on 12/19/2019. They sent out a manager, who is no longer with the company. He sent the same guy who knocked down the tree to stand it back up to see if it would re-root. Since he didn't really know what he was doing the tree fell again a couple months later. I called their office a few different times and every time I've been told that ALL the managers are in day long meetings and that they would get back to me. No one has gotten back to me and I've had to clean up their mess as the tree fell completely over and was blocking a shared drive.

I posted a negative review on *** and *** and someone named Vandy V finally called me. For weeks she's been saying they will pay me but I have yet to receive a check. She doesn't pick up her phone when I call and when I text she just "thumbs up" my messages but doesn't respond in any other way.

Desired Outcome

I just want to be reimbursed for the damage they did as reflected in the attached invoice.

As I stated on the phone call with the rep for Frank Gay, I'm willing to sign the agreement once the matter has been resolved. Weeks ago I was told I would be reimbursed and since then I have received nothing. I had to file this complaint to even get a return phone call. Again, I'm willing to sign the agreement on resolution of the matter not on another promise of a resolution.

Frank G repiped our house in March, 2020. Of course, I was concerned about all the
holes left in our walls from the repiping (which we knew was the result of repiping).
Dave W. came on two days to repair the drywall holes and he did an outstanding job! He was
professional, friendly, and a really hard worker. He made sure everything was done

This company has a horrible reputation in our community. 140 home complex with -1 grades. We had them put in 2 faucets on our patio. We were charged $1500. Today I found that one hose is 4" too short to connect to water timer. I guess they thought I would call them back for repair. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me!

Jonathan was outstanding. He went above and beyond and he was very attentive. Thanks so much Jonathan B for your caring and amazing work.
