Frank Gay Services - thanks to AMY C, AC Manager - is once again my #1 choice for AC work. Several years back, I used Frank Gay for everything (AC, Electrical, Plumbing) until I had a bad AC experience. A former tech with former manager support made my system inoperable and tried to con me into a new system. With owner intervention it was made OK, but I had lost all trust in their company . Today, my condenser unit failed - and according to my new AC guy - it was not under warranty. I called Frank Gay, who installed it 5 years ago, and they confirmed the bad news. After some heated discussion - AMY C - intervened. The company stood behind their work and word. They covered the cost of the unit and billed me only a very fair installation charge completed SAME DAY by a very competent and professional tech named BRAD! If you need AC work CALL Frank Gay Services. They, once again, are the reputable company I trusted for years.

I had company install a new toilet. After work was completed, the tech said he would not be removing the old toilet.

I questioned the tech about not removing the old toilet, and he could not explain why that was the case.
Paid $220 for 1 and a half hours of work---so it was not a discounted job.
We I made the appointment there was no disclosure that old toilet would not be removed, that is standard practice for local plumbing companies.
Called the company office next day, explained my complaint, and so far have not received a return complaint. Poor disclosure upfront. Poor customer service later.

Desired Outcome

I had requested toilet removal the next day. Never happened. Request partial and fair refund for services that were not provided.

Unprofessional service tech and no folllow up from office.
Started my experience with Frank Gay in December. Curtis came out to fix our leak and was amazing so we decedided to call Frank Gay again in April to hook up our faucet, dishwasher, and ice line. Bruce came out was rude, disrespectful and unprofessional. Bruce said we were cheap by buying a knockoff product (I had no clue) then stated it would cost no more than 400 but no less than 300. Bruce finished said he can not guarantee the faucet will not come loose because he can't reach all the way around to the faucet (there is a reason I hired them...I don't have the tools). Bruce then charges 463. I called to speak with a manager and spoke with Amy O who sent Curtis back out to fix what Bruce did not do, tighten faucet and found that my ice line was leaking and promised a call back about how much I was charged. A week passed never heard from Amy so I called again and now spoke to the comptroller who said I would receive a call back and still nothing. I received an estimate from this company for my repipe that we want to start soon and based on the unprofessionalism I will never hire them again!

Follow up from company, breakdown of charges and refund for what was not done!

Mrs. and I had a nice conversation and I have spoken with the Plumber about communicating better with the customers in the future. We did refund Mrs. monies as it was the correct and honest thing to do. Hopefully we can work together in the future. We are checking into a repipe for her family. A check has been sent to close this case.

I had no electricity in a room of my house. Walter A from Frank Gay Services was able to locate a bad wire and fix the problem. Mr. A was friendly, professional and very efficient.
I plan on calling Frank Gay Services any time I have an electric, ac or plumbing problem.

This was our first experience with Frank Gay Plumbing. However, it will not be our last. Francisco came to our home and did the work in a very efficient and accurate manner. He double checked the installation before leaving. I found him to be professional, technically knowledgeable and competent and was very respectful of our home. I would highly recommend this organization to anyone looking for a good plumber.

Frank Gay gets 5 stars today. Mr. Walter A came out to help. He was timely and very knowledgeable. Not only did he help with my daughters room and power switches. He gave some tips for my room. I highly recommend Frank Gay and specifically Walter. I have been in the College Park / Winter Park area for now close to 11 years. They will get my call for services every time.

Our electricity was having issues and our technician, Walter A, was super helpful and expedient. I was very pleased with the punctuality and efficiency. I will definitely be using these guys in the future.

I am being billed for services that were not completed.
I had Frank Gay come out to look at a plumbing issue in October. They billed almost $800 for water heater repair and for leak detection. When I asked for a diagram for leak detection I did not get it and was told that there are "possibly multiple leaks" and that the house needs to be replumbed. I had a second plumber come out and easily found the valve in the wall for the shower was what was leaking hot water. The water heayer did not need to be rebuilt. The problem was that the hot water line was leaking. Now here we are 4 months later and I got another bill from Frank Ga for the service call indicating the problemwith the water heater was that yhe water wasnt staying in the tank long enough to get hot.

Desired Outcome

Not only do i think the second bill should be cancelled but. I think i should refunded the majority of the first bill. I should only be charged for a service call since they refused to provide indication of where the leak was. I already knew there was a leak. The point in leak detection is to locate it.

The property address was***. You were sent to the property through my property management company, ***. I was told that the second bill was cancelled since neither myself nor my property management company requested the service call. We were able to look it up under your property management company. The first service call dated on 10/10/17 was called in for a rebuild of the hot water heater and perform a leak detection. On that service call the water heater was rebuilt and large amounts of calcium and scale deposit were removed. A leak detection was performed and a large leak was detected in the main bathroom from your hot water line. In other areas of the home we picked up possible other small leaks, due to the size of the leak in the main bathroom, we were unable to confirm if other leaks did exist, our machine did pickup possibility of other leaks. At that time you were given an estimate to fix the bathroom leak which was $1500-$2500. We recommended to repipe the home due to the possibility of other leaks and the condition of the pipe. On the 2nd service call another tech concluded the same problem. At that point the person that was home at the time told the 2nd tech another company was coming out to repipe the home the next day. The 2nd bill you received was a mistake on our part, you were never billed this and it was credited into our system as a non-chargeable invoice. Your property management company who handles the property you're staying in was aware we credited this and was not charged the invoice. We deal directly with the property management company.

This is the first time anyone has EVER indicated there was a leak in the bathroom from your company. The paperwork I was given showed leaks in the living room and there are no pipes running through the living room. And I did not even get that diagram until after I had a second plumber come out and give a second opinion and repipe the house. $800 is a rediculous amount to rebuild a water heater. You say the leak detection was completed but your office refused to provide any indication as to where the leak was until after I had already had the house repiped. Your company took advantage of me, the customer, and chatted a rediculous about of money. If im paying for leak detection I expect you to tell me where the leak is. I already knew there was a leak. That's why we called you. Today, 5 months after the service call is the first time anyone from your company mentioned anything about a leak in the bathroom. Not a single piece of paperwork indicated a leak in the bathroom even though I repeatedly called and asked for it.

I called this company on Friday and asked for an estimate on installing a 220 outlet for a hot tub. They said no problem, they would come out first thing Monday morning at 8:30 am and do that estimate. 20 minutes after they were expected to be here they called and said they would have to charge a $69.00 service charge just for coming out to do the estimate. When questioned why I was not told this when I set up the appointment they lied and said they did tell me this. Do not trust this company. They lie and can not be depended on.

I am unable to find and service call information for this name. I apologize for the confusion. We do have an estimate charge of $69.95 to come to your home and diagnose a problem. The time it takes our tech to drive out, on the clock, fuel, insurance, etc this is either a break even fee, or sometimes less than the break even point. We tell everyone this up-front, and if somehow the dispatch did not relay this, the tech did before they came out to look at the issue. This is something that is told up-front before the arrival.

Great, not only did Frank gay lie about the cost of service they provide they can't even keep track of customers who call for estimates. I suggest you talk to your employees and make sure they are following your service policies. They did not in my case . Fortunately for me there are many other companies who provide the same services you do . And they don't make appointments then ask for an up charge 20 minutes before they arrive. You lost my business. In the future I will not consider your company for service of any kind.

In the last month, I hired Frank Gay services to re-pipe my house, repair the walls and install a new hot water heater. This company is 5 stars all the way!! They have outstanding customer service and they do amazing work!!

After 30 days, they do not warrant their work, regardless that I paid them $1,825.
I had an older sink replace in the kitchen and decided to use Frank Gay Services from all the advertising I saw. The work was done a few days prior to hurricane Irma (September 5, 2017 specifically). Afterwards I noticed water spilling onto the sink, and intended to call them right away, but because of the hurricane aftermath and everything with that, I did not get the chance to call until October 22. By the time I was able to request a service call, water was spilling under the sink. I received a call back from the service desk. The person told me that "since it's been longer than 30 days, we would have to charge you." Wow. What a slap that was after I had paid $1,825 not even 2 months ago.

While everything worked I was happy.

I normally do this kind of work myself, but paid the extra money for their service because I needed to save time.

Frank Gay Plumbing is an unethical company. It's owner sued me because I wouldn't pay a two bills for work that was done but didn't fix the problem. I called another company and they were successful. When I tried to explain to Frank Gay why I didn't feel I had to pay to pay the bill he wouldn't listen. Do to the fact I live out side the area and I didn't want to travel to Orlando. I offered to pay half the bill but he refused. He told me he never gets complaints. I guess he doesn't read Yelp. He apparently removes all negative comments from his web site so that people don't see how bad he is.

This customer called us for a stoppage, we used a sewer machine to clear the stoppage. We do not warranty a stoppage because we do not know what the customer flushed down the toilet. Customer called us a 2nd time, 9 days later, for another stoppage. At this point we recommended sending a camera down the line to see what the problem is. The customer had another company run a jetter machine to clear the stoppage. Running a jetter is 10-15x the cost to clear than a sewer machine, that is why we suggest running a camera before using a jetter, so we can see what the root problem is. Furthermore, this was explained to you by the tech on site.
