If I could give less than one star, I would. My 17-year old son has a Money Network pay card from when he was working. When he received his tax refund check at the beginning of April, he cashed the check and then he put the money on his card so that he could make an online purchase. The transaction was declined. We found a letter of a compliance hold on the account pending receiving requested documentation. We called in to the customer service line, and while the agent was nice, we couldn't understand what he was saying due to his poor English and how fast he was talking. We confirmed the documentation required and he was even kind enough to speak with his manager about accepting my son's school ID, since he does not have a driver's license or state ID. This exception was approved and noted to the account. It took a couple days to get all of the requested documentation together but once I had everything that I had previously confirmed with the agent, I faxed the documentation on 4/4/19. After I sent the information and at my own job, I noticed that I had sent my SSN by mistake so I sent my son's SSN on 4/5/19 with a note of the error. When my son called about his account a few days later, he was told that the documents were never received. So I sent everything again on 4/12/19. He called again a few days later and after giving the agent authorization to discuss the account with me, we were told that only some of the documents were acceptable and others were not. We were instructed by this third agent to resend the documents - minus the ones that were accepted the second time. Since the School ID was still an issue apparently, that had to be resent with what she called a "Statement of Request" signed by my son (the account holder) requesting to have his school ID applied to his account as he does not have a government issued ID. I also had to send in a utility bill with his address along with a Statement of Request signed by me that because he is a minor, he has no bills in his name. This was sent today 4/19/19. I work in a customer service call center, so I can fully understand the struggle of the folks working the phones at Money Network, but why 3 different document requirements from 3 different agents? My son called yet again to check on the documents and was either told that they were not received OR that they were unacceptable - he didn't specify when I talked to him. He requested to have a check issued for the amount on his card and to close his account. He was then told that he had to send even more documentation to close the account - MOST OF WHICH HAS ALREADY BEEN SENT THE FIRST 3 TIMES. Why can't the documentation I have already sent on my son's behalf be used for the account closure?? Why additional documentation is required to close an account is beyond me. I work with LOANS and if a customer calls me wanting to close their account, we get them verified and a few clicks of the mouse later, the account is closed. If these people could not get the documentation applied to my son's account the first 3 times that I sent it to get a hold lifted, why would I send more documentation? Because faxing documentation has got to be the most inconvenient way of doing business, I have now spent $14 in money plus gas in my car that I didn't have to spare for faxes over the last 3 weeks, plus have been late to work on 3 out of 4 faxing occasions due to having to go out of my way to send the aforementioned faxes, only to have the hold still in place on my son's account. The desired resolution is to A) get the hold lifted so that my son has access to his money OR B) get my son's money back as a refund so that we can move on with our lives and never have to deal with this wretched company again. If I could give less than one star, I would. These people are criminals. Signed me up at a fair rate, then doubled my rates in a very sneaky way with no notice to me. In fact, for 3 years, I did not even get a monthly statement. They were sending it to an email I no longer had access to and I called them and changed it with them 4 times! They finally changed it when I told them I had had enough and was leaving. It took talking to 3 different people and being put on hold for almost a full hour to get them to admit what % they were charging me. They also added $20 a month on top of the 4.95% they were charging me for merchant services, because they said I was non-compliant. When I paid someone to help me figure it out, it turned out that I was perfectly compliant - Time Warner had changed to Spectrum here in Charlotte, so these creeps just played dumb like they had no idea who Spectrum was. I'm sure they ripped off a lot of people that way for months and are probably still doing so. When I told them I wanted my money back, they refused, however, suddenly....I was compliant....go figure....,When I told them I wanted to leave, they said I couldn't without giving them $500!! I screamed enough to get them to reduce it to $250, but they said they would take it out of my account, and they did. These people are not just bad at customer service - they are criminals and should be prosecuted.

Bad experience with first data , just start out my business and been using Bank of America for six months then I got phone call from Velocity sale representative offer better deal , he been calling everyday and want me try out for 3 months, if I don't like , I can cancel with no fee , so I give them a try , first month I got over charged for leasing equipments and the service even more than what I pay before , when I call them , them told me the first guy make mistake, try to fix for me , buy out old leasing and get new leasing, so I believe them when I sign up new one , old one didn't get take care , I been pay them 4700 for leasing equipment for two months and equipment value is less than 2000$ , I close account and stop using them , they charge me 8217.27 $ fee , if anybody have same experience with me you can file complaint through this website https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/Information#crnt

BUSINESS OWNERS EVERYWHERE, DO NOT USE "FIRST DATA MERCHANT SERVICES" FOR YOUR CREDIT CARD PROCESSING!!!

THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER BEEN EXPOSED TO...

I closed a "Month to Month" card processing account with them in October of 2018. UNBELEIVABLY, they continued to DEBIT our business account for October, November, December of 2018 and January of 2019.

They even had the balls to admit they continued to debit our account, even though the business was closed!!!

Thank God and by pure luck, I was smart enough to only enter a month to month card processing service agreement.

I have been given the run around by First Data customer service employees, Kevin S., Steven, Ariel P., Justin and today Grant, as to my owed refund, for the four months First Data stole money out of my bank account. Interestingly, you cannot get last names of these employees, I wonder why?

I am immediately owed $527.99.

I will now be filing complaints with the Oregon Corporation Commissioner (or equivalent office) and the Oregon Secretary of State, as Oregon is where I have spoken with these thieving, lying, incompetent First Data employees.

OF COURSE, I MAY HAVE TO FILE COMPLAINTS IN GEORGIA TOO, AS THAT POOR STATE HAS THE STENCH OF FIRST DATA TOO, WITHIN THEIR STATE...

If anyone is interested in filing a class action lawsuit against this horrible, horrible company, I will gladly join, and assist.

First Data is worth a fortune, and they owe so many! A jury would give them a rude awakening, for what they do to card processing customers...

I find it strange that First Data uses cookie-cutter reply's to their hundreds and hundreds of bad reviews and complaints.

Phillip L was amazing to deal with.. Any questions I had if he didn't know the answer he got one for me.. I had issues with one of our machines not closing at the right time. Within 5 minutes of me calling him he had it fixed..
So far everything has been great. We are saving money anywhere from 1 to 1.5 percent at all 3 locations.

This company is a bunch of thieves, terrible service. I have four quick serve restaurants I use with them. The suddenly started charging a .20 transaction fee. As soon as I received the statements and realized it I alerted my rep. Many messages promising to fix and refund 3 months of this cost me over $6000!!! They will not refund my money. I'm done they are horrible. DO NOT USE THEM!!

Terrible costumer service and they don't have the knowledge to verify founds, they hold my money for over 45 days with out reason, I have to close my business because they hold all my money , I had to borrow money to pay my employees.

your co. made a merchant turn down my check. I have a 8+ credit score. I think your co is a bunch of frauds and should not be allowed to do business.

First of all what a disappointment they have become...is been 6 days and no results of my funds being release as of today ... is funny how you have a contract with them but suddenly they cant tell you anything in regards to your account because now someone from a security or risk management is handling your account and putting your funds on hold.. I call the number provided by first data/clover and call, I get transfer every time to someone call Samoya who it seems to be the only one handling my issue of my funds being held, not only is she as rude as can be in the sense that in her words when I'm asking her why my funds where on hold and why they need so many personal info of my clients when they haven't issue a complain about their credit card being use.. she said well I need it, I then told her If I was going to go thru this issues I would prefer to close the account and ask clients for checks, she said then go ahead is your choice.... this woman didn't care whether they lose a client or no...I kept calling Leave messages, then she finally calls I ask her about the status I told her I have send her info she stated I want more info I need this and that and I'm like why you need my clients info she just said I do in her rude attitude.. I just lost my patience and told her you know what I don't need This , I told her I don't need your rudeness and I feel you don't want to try to help me. I dont even want this merchant account I don't need it, just refund the funds back to the card,, she went ahead an answer well I will just notate the account that you don't want this account open... called today clover and was inform she went ahead and close the account.. still holding the funds!!! The person I spoke to today in Clover only knew how to said we can't do anything until is resolve thru the security.. again making me feel like this guys really don't care if they loose a customer or not..

WHAT A SCAM. Sent in machine 5 years ago and still withdrew lease payment out of our account. Now they want their machine back !? and if we don't return, they'll "settle" for $400. THEY ALREADY HAVE MACHINE AND OUR LEASE WAS OVER 5 YEARS AGO. Sheesh. Call on. They're not getting anymore money out of us.

Im very upset. I had a payment for a job I completed as a licenced general contractor. The job was completed on XX-XX-XX and it is now X-XX-XX I have called 5 times and still have no answers why the security department hasnt released my funds but charged me the monthly service charge. Long story short, my bank account was put in the negative because of my payment not being recieved but the monthly charge taken immediately. The representatives didnt have any answers for me except to call again. Im running out of patience and really need the money I worked for to be funded to me. I would give negative 10 stars for security department and negative 5 for the phone representatives only because they actually answer the phone.

My new account manager was extremely professional, courteous and knowledgeable. I especially appreciate that he thoroughly explained the company's services, and also all aspects of my account dashboard, once I was approved. I highly recommend Cardconnect!
