First I must state this is about the First Data credit card machine leasing company not the financial part of First data, I have not one issue with them. I started using First data 2 years ago, due to health reasons I had to retire. I called first data to tell them of this, they immediately got defensive and told me I had signed a 4 year contract and I was resposible for the remainder of the contract. I returned the machine and asked for a copy of the signed contract, they did not send it. Within a few weeks I started getting messages on my machine to call about the money I owe and how it was my responsibility to pay the remainder of their contract.. I called the number they left and left a message that I required a copy of the "signed" contract. I did did this twice but got no response, finally I got to talk to the lady and told her I needed a copy of the contract and she agreed to send me it. When I received the contract there were signatures with my name but they were not signed by me. I called the number and talked to anther person who told me I had signed a contract and was responsible for the remainder of it (this is their mantra) every person I talk to must read it off a place card because in get it word for word whenever I talk to anyone and they get more aggressive and agitated if you disrupt them they told me that the signature was signed by their computer and the if I used their machine once that meant I agreed to their terms that I was never told about. every time I called to talk to somebody they refuse to listen to me and keep going with the you signed a 4 year contract ect ect . When you close a business after using a company like this you realy find out who the bottom feeders real are. BEWARE OF FIRST DATA CREDIT CARD MACHINE COMPANY

This is the most expensive credit cards processing service I have ever know. They have a very complicated fees system and unprofessional customer service. To receive credit card payments $5200 you need to pay fees $290 or approximately 5.5%. It's unbelievable. Until you start arguing client manager MaryAnn M. *** does not answer your questions and further, she does not substantially know what to answer instead of general phrases. Of course, that company has a significant early termination fee. I do not recommend to use so expensive service.

I have only been with Cardconnect for a couple of weeks, but so far I am very pleased. The service I have experienced with my personal rep. has been outstanding.

My business did all of our banking with PNC. When they suggested getting us a price for our merchant services, we trusted them. We were told that a rep from FirstData would give us a quote to use them for our credit card processing as well as our credit card machine.
Upon receipt of my credit card machine, I noticed that it was in the name of Firstdata instead of PNC and began to ask questions of my bank branch. Come to find out, I had been lied to and the Firstdata company was a third party in which there were hidden fees and transactions that would be costing me a lot of money since the credit card company, the bank and Firstdata were all getting their share before I did.

I immediately packed up the equipment and returned to Firstdata, contacted my bank and notified them that I was changing my banking to another bank due to their dishonesty and contacted a new credit card company.

Well, Firstdata refused to acknowledge receipt of the equipment and has continued to harrass us with threats of lawsuits and constant calls saying that we owe the money for the machine which was returned within a week of connection.

I would like to let any business who has contracts with this company to read the fine print and to contact a Merchant Service that is independent and does not have hidden fees or use a bank as a middle man. You will save alot of money if you do this.

Remember that this company claims to have been in business for 30 years but has still not been able to be accredited by the Revdex.com. I wish the Revdex.com would have a rating of 0 stars as this company doesn't even deserve 1.

Always a great positive experience and he goes above and beyond with customer care to make sure that everything is handled appropriately. Today we had a terminal that stopped reading chips. The instant response from customer service was that the terminal would need to be replaced. Fungai went out of his way to have customer service run updates to see if the issue could be resolved without such drastic measures and he was correct. In just a few minutes I had my terminal working again and was able to continue providing services to my customers. I appreciate his diligence as I would have just accepted the terminal replacement unknowing of a better solution. Highly recommend this company to any merchants seeking their services!
