the salesperson and I discussed my requirements for a new gate. Namely, a certain height and a digital lock. He then instructed me which lock to buy, which I did and even delivered to him before conpleting the purchase. He then took my full payment and the lock and sent everything to their factory. @ 4 weeks later they arrived to install the gate...sans my lock. The following week, the 2nd installer arrived to install my lock that they found. Only, the lock they told me to purchase, the one they had before and during the building of my gate didnt fit. After speaking to their Customer Service Mgr and having her tell me she would look into it and would call me back....oh, she never did. Then I called again and spoke to the director of Customer Service. She seemed great, and even called me back. However, the "digital" locks she told me they carried arent digital locks... They are actually punch card locks. So, long story short, I finally got the gate I paid for almost 2 1/2 months after I ordered it. Oh, yes there us a PS here.... After they rebuilt the gate to handle the lock I bought and they had.... I discovered that the door wouldnt even latch. I had to buy parts at [redacted] just to keep the gate closed. I even told this to a Cust Service Rep that called, was told by her ahe would call me back.... Well, it has been 3 days now and I've still not heard back from her.

First Impression, did a great job on our security door entrance. From the beginning quote to the final installation. I would use them again.

The issues related to my door that prompted my earlier complaint have been completely resolved and I am very happy with my new doors. Thank you First Impression for your beautiful doors and your customer service.

Love our new doors! This is the third home I've installed security doors on. This is first time I've used First Impressions and I would definitely use them again! Their quality is by far the best we've seen! Our sales person, [redacted], was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. The installer, [redacted], was very professional and did an excellent installation. I have already recommended them to my daughter who is currently having a new home built.

The sales staff in Tucson was very helpful with types of security door and what would be included. They called me several times within the 3 weeks from point of sale to installation to remind me of the date and time of install. The doors are beautiful, very sturdy, and they have a lifetime warranty on the door structure and installation. The installer was friendly and informative...not the usual hit and run type. I would recommend this company for security doors.

Our experience with First Impression Security Doors was extremely positive. From the sales visit through to the install they all handled themselves professionally. They met their time commitments, the product is top shelf and the install was done like the tech was working on his own home.

First Impressions just completed installation of our front entrance door, and they did a very professional job. We strongly recommend them.

Overall a great experience from initial consultation to final installation. Only request would be to cleanup the metal shavings that can fall on the ground and eventually into small bare feet ;).. A quick vacume or magnet can gather these metal shavings at the end of a visit...

Review: We have been trying to get a gate installed from First Impressions that we ordered on November 20th. We also ordered a matching piece of iron work for a window above the gate. We paid in full on November 20th ($5320). Our sales rep told us that the current time frame from signing contract to installation was 4-5 weeks. When I asked specifically if we could have the gate before Christmas, he said "Absolutely, that won't be a problem." He also told us that we would have a CAD drawing to approve within a few days. When we didn't get the CAD for over a week, I called and asked where the CAD was and if we were still going to make the Christmas due date. I was told, probably not but we will have the CAD to you within the next few hours. I did not receive that drawing for another 2 days and when they sent it it was 4:20 on a Friday. By the time I sent back the revisions and a list of my concerns about the timeline, everyone was gone for the weekend. That Monday they sent a revision that we approved and sent back. They stated that the gate would be sent to production. I then received a call that someone would need to come measure the window and a CAD would be needed for that as well. The window was measured over 7 days ago and I still do not have a CAD. My husband called yesterday to see what the estimated installation time is and we were told its Jan 21. That is absolutely unacceptable! When he asked what the hold up was he was advised that the CAD has not been approved for the window and my husband stated that we have not received one even though it was measured last week. We were promised that it would be sent last night or this morning at the LATEST. It is now 6:41pm, First Impressions is closed and we have not received the CAD. We are constantly being promised something and those promises have NEVER been met. We are extremely disappointed. All we want is our gate installed before Jan 1. If we have to wait for the window to be inDesired Settlement: We would like our gate delivered by Jan 1. We were told 4-5 weeks until the gate could be installed and we are allowing 6 weeks. This should be substantial time.

This complaint was immediately brought to the attention of upper management within First Impression Security Doors. We appreciate our customer providing feedback regarding their experience and contacted them quickly upon learning of the issue to further discuss. First Impression is currently working with our customer in an attempt to resolve this issue and have set an appointment on 12/29/15 at their home to complete installation. Our goal at First Impression is to provide a total customer satisfaction experience and we work with our clients to accomplish this, evidenced by our A+ accredited Revdex.com rating since 2002 and numerous other awards over the past 20 years as the industry leader in ornamental iron manufacturing.

My sister in law purchased a door from these folks and my wife loved it when she visited tucson last time. After checking with several door companies in Denver (where we live) we called [redacted] and got an estimate. The price was reasonable and the door could be shipped to us.

We worked with a designer and while it took several designs to get it just right we got there. Our door is 9 feet tall so there was a lot of tweaking involved. Her patience and responsiveness was much appreciated.

Within three or four weeks the door arrived (all 410 pounds of crate, door, glass and screen). It truly turned out perfect. The door is exactly what my wife wanted and she couldn't be happier. We drive by our house and she always says "Look at that beautiful door". Getting a little tired of that but "Happy wife, happy life".

There were a couple of minor issues but they have been addressed to our satisfaction. In my opinion, the mark of a good company isn't whether they are perfect, but how they handle issues.

The forks at FISD were always patient, professional and helpful. Their prices are very reasonable considering the quality of their products.

In March 2015 we purchased 2 security doors for our new home. This was a $2224 purchase. The doors were installed and are beautiful. The problem is that the front door is quite heavy and the closer device is not capable of preventing the door from slamming shut, obviously it is not engineered for this heavy a door. I have contacted the company twice....the first time a technician came and adjusted the closer which promptly failed, then I tried to contact our salesperson thru email and got no response so I called customer service. I was told the closer is not covered for workmanship or warranty. I was told that I could remove the closer and take it to the showroom in Gilbert and they would exchange it. I indicated that I lived in Peoria and could they mail it. They said no. I asked if they could have one delivered to their Peoria store and email me when it arrived. They said they would do this but I've never heard back from them. The closer is still not working, the door slams shut and although friends and neighbors admire the door I tell them about the poor customer service and to go elsewhere.

I am more than just pleased with my new door! The temperatures have been in the high 80's and I've not turned the a/c on yet! I'm betting I will save the price of the door in one full year! Side benefits of fresh air from the cross-ventilation we get, and the safe feeling that comes with a security door, are wonderful. The style of the door coordinates with the clear stained glass trim around it, so it's also aesthetically pleasing. Do you have the feeling that I love it? You are correct!
p.s. First Impression was flawless from the bid, helping us choose the door we wanted, explaining how the double lock works, installation, and following up to be sure we were happy with the end result. A-plus for them!

Ordered an over sized entry security screen door. I was so impressed when I got home, it is beautiful! Great craftsmanship, installed while I was at work. From the initial contact with an outside sales rep., visiting showroom and final install I would rate this company as A+! Great customer service followup as well.
