This is not true and is not what was said, but the problem has been taken care of and a check was issued.Thank you Joe L[redacted]

I spoke to mr [redacted] about his problems and have to him we would work this out for him thru his warranty when he returned to his home state. He has been made aware of the process that he did not understand at the time of purchase. Thank youJoe L[redacted]Sales Manager

Review: On May 9, 2015 I proceeded to discuss a possible purchase of a Class A motorhome with [redacted] at Freedom RV, I was told if I put down a "holding fee" of $1000 to keep the motorhome off the market and keep other buyers from looking at it until I could get my wife over to see the vehicle. I proceeded to "hold" the motorhome by paying $1000 until my wife could take a look, I was told this could be refunded if we did not chose to buy the vehicle. My wife came by the same day and the we were not able to negotiate a price that was agreeable to both parties. Sunday May 10, 2015, we were still unable to come to a deal after continuing negotiations. Finance Officer [redacted] called us Monday May, 11, 2015 and stated he was refunding back the $1000 holding fee since we did not come to a deal and were no longer interested in the vehicle. The $1000 was processed on May 11, 2015 in full to our account. I visited the Freedom RV on May 12, 2015 and spoke again with Bll [redacted] as well as the General Manager and started negotiations. I offered up to $31,500 (total with ALL TAXES, licenses and fees included in this CASH price), and was declined. [redacted] then offered $32,000 total (including license, tax and ALL fees) cash price. At this time the $1000 was refunded back 24 hours earlier and was not included in this NEW deal. At NO TIME WAS THE $1000 CONSIDERED A DOWN PAYMENT or ANY PART OF THIS CASH OFFER! We agreed on the cash price of $32,000 on May 12, 2015 which included all state/local taxes, fees and license fees. We proceeded to write a check to Freedom RV for $32,000 TOTAL, paperwork was signed with $32,000 at the bottom as the total purchase price. Check cleared, we then were scheduled to do a 2 hour "walk through" of the vehicle to educate on how to use the features on the Class A. We drove off with the RV 2 weeks later after they had to repair the leveling jacks. I received a phone call from the [redacted] the Finance Manager on May 16, 2015 (he wrote the contract AND refunded the $1000 BACK to us) and asked us how everything was going with our purchase. At no time was the $1000 mentioned or asked for. I received the title and license about 30 days later in the mail and it looked like everything was "settled". I proceeded to go on vacation to California in August 2015 with my family where numerous problems with the RV was encountered, back-up camera stopped working several days after we drove off the lot, microwave does not work, toilet leaks continually, slide outs "slide out" when driving! 2 tires blew out on a freeway nearly causing a fatal accident, the tires were 15 years old, I was never told how old they were! We understand we bought a used vehicle but believe these issues were never checked for the safety of their customers. During our vacation we were contacted by [redacted] on August 20, 2015 by phone, he stated we owed Freedom RV $1000! He stated the deal was always for $33,000 not $32,000 and that we did not officially "own" the RV and we needed to pay the $1000 right away to avoid going to "collections! At no time was the deal ever for $33,000 OR include the "holding fee" of $1000 that was refunded before the deal was officially made. He continued to threaten us with a collection agency and to "check our paperwork". came home and reviewed the paperwork and noticed they had dated the contract for May 9, 2015 (not May 12,2015 when the actual deal was made and closed). They added the $1000 onto the contract as a down payment (even AFTER it was REFUNDED). At NO TIME did we receive a phone call OR a written notice stating we owed an additional $1000 on this deal, 3 months had passed without any contact (vehicle title was released to us) and NOW we owe $1000? I believe this was a fraudulent act in order to extract an additional $1000 from their customer. They have not followed the Fair Debt Collection Practices as we never received any notification before being told we were being sent to a collection agency. contract was supposedly "signed" on May 9th with the $1000 down payment and then 2 days later we received a refund back to us of $1000, how do we owe the $1000 3 months later?Desired Settlement: The contract to be adjusted to reflect the true selling price of the 2002 Southwind Class A Motorhome of $32,000 (which has been paid in full as of May 12, 2015) , the correct selling date of May 12, 2015 and to remove the erroneous $1000 that is fraudulently owed on the paperwork. Any and all collection agency threats to cease immediately.

Review: Last summer, I stopped to look at Motor homes at the Spokane County Fairgrounds. I told Freedom RV's sales representative ([redacted]) that I was looking for a motor home less than 30 feed in length and costing preferably less than $40K.

The first lie I was told is that the Four Winds Windsport they had was 33 feet in length, only slightly larger than I was looking for. Turns out, the model is actually 37 feet stem to stern. There are many Washington State Parks that cannot accommodate such a large motor home.

The second lie I was told is that the 2004 Windsport they offered at a nominal $44K was an excellent value, and that I could trade it in a couple of years and get my money back if I found I wanted a smaller, newer one. In driving the motor home south I soon found that it was much larger than I wanted to deal with. I purchased a smaller, more suitable motor home, but was told by the dealer he could only offer me $25K at most.

The old motor home is now sitting on a consignment lot. I am told that if I am very lucky I will get $29K for the unit. That is a loss of $15K!

I had previously called [redacted], the salesman who told me the lies in the sales process before I purchased the new motor home. He said was happy to help me find a smaller motor home, but I ended up finding one myself and told him so.

Because I was only offered $25K in trade by the dealer who sold me the smaller unit, I decided to sell it to someone else. I called [redacted] to ask if he would help me sell the old unit. Now that he knows I am trying to get my money out of the old unit, he is no longer returning my calls. Go figure. He knows doggone well he lied to me. No doubt he does so routinely.

I then spoke with Sales Manager Wade at Freedom RV about my dissatisfaction with the motor home and the lies I was told during the sales process. His only response was that he had not heard the conversation. How very convenient. I also asked if perhaps he could help me sell the unit in the spring. He told me that his boss Mike might not want him to consign the unit.

Freedom RV has seriously taken advantage of me.Desired Settlement: I take personal responsibility for my part in this transaction and am happy to pay my share of "stupid tax" as a result. However, I was told several outright lies in the process of the sales transaction. Freedom RV is ducking their responsibility for their dishonest business practices. I think the least they could do would be to refund $10K to help cover my losses.

Thank you for your attention in this matter.

Response:

[redacted] purchased a 2004 Windsport 35F motorhome which is what it clearly states on the motorhome and on the paperwork. If it measures longer than that, it measures longer. He did not ask to have the exact measurements of the unit, if he had done so we would gladly measure the coach. [redacted]s purchase price was $43,851 for the coach. What he fails to mention that he traded in the following units which were grossly misrepresented.

1. 2002 Oldsmobile Allero given $3000 that had been wrecked in several places and we wholesaled for much less because it was unsafe to sell to a customer......

2. 2007 Fourwinds 25' Trailer given $10,000 that was accurately described, but only had a book value of $8300 that Freedom way over stepped up on to help the customer.....

3. 2004 Chevy Truck with 147,000 miles that also had substantial work that needed done which was not disclosed at the time of the trade in which he was given $12,000 for and was later sold at a huge loss because of that.........

On none of the vehicles did Freedom RV ask for more money even though there was serious misrepresentation.

In regards [redacted], who is currently in Arizona and in and out of the hospital with Pneumonia, He has been unavailable and was not able to come work for our last two shows because he is so ill....

Regarding the value of the Windsport claimed to be worth $25,000. The coach has TO THIS DAY a base AVERAGE NADA book value of $42,251 six months after the purchase. And if you put on just some of the options it came equipped with the value in the NADA book is $46,736.... Maybe [redacted] should ask instead of assume. The reason we do not take consignments in the middle of winter is there is very limited sales and the only thing adding inventory to the lot does is make more coaches to shovel the roofs off of and create less space to snow plow! Had he bothered to ask why before leaving a completely erroneous claim on the Revdex.com he would have been told that.

Lastly when you purchase a recreational vehicle or a car or boat or anything that depreciates, you will not get your money back completely. These items are not appreciating assets, and if you think they are then you will be disappointed.... But to have a motor home for half a year and still have an average NADA value for MORE than you paid for it, you should not be too upset.

Freedom RV stands behind what it sells and does not lie to customers to sell RVs.

Revdex.com,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]

Regards,

Dear [redacted],

Thank you for agreeing to re-open this case. We now have a smaller more user friendly RV. Per our discussion, we are now traveling more and therefore out of pocket more often.

Judging from Freedom RV's response to my complaint, it is clear that they are of the opinion that:

1) They have done no wrong. If I have issues with a transaction, it must be my fault.

2) The best defense is a good offense. Why not pull out all the stops and attack my credibility while they are at it?

I want to take a few minutes to make certain I am crystal clear regarding why I felt compelled to contact you regarding our recent experience with Freedom RV.

As I mentioned before, my wife and I stopped by the Spokane County Fairgrounds last July to look for our first motor home. I told Mr. Pressler we wanted something 30 feet at the most, but shorter is better. My wife pointed out that we needed to stick to stay under 33 feet for sure, because many state and federal campgrounds will not take units longer than that.

These guys could have helped us find a smaller unit like we wanted, or referred us to someone who could do so. In retrospect it has become very clear, however, that they were more interested in moving their inventory at the fairgrounds than fixing us up with what we had asked for.

They had a unit at the fairgrounds that was close to our price range and supposedly only three feet longer than my 30 foot limit. "What's three feet?" Mr. Pressler said, sticking out his leg and pointing at it.

I agree wholeheartedly with Freedom RV's comment that we should have looked more carefully at the paperwork or "asked for a tape measure." Did I not say earlier that (unlike Freedom RV) we felt some personal responsibility here? Our biggest mistake was to assume as professionals they would be accurately describing the length of what was actually a 37 foot coach.

We still were not convinced that we should buy this coach because of Mr. Pressler's "Three foot" comment. He then proceeded to tell us that this particular coach was such a good buy we could trade up in a couple years and get our money back. "I guarantee you," he went on. "I can get you $45,000.00 for this unit at Quartzite (Arizona) in January!"

Well granted we did not start to try to sell the unit until February, and we are a couple hours or so east of Quartzite in the Phoenix area, but you get the idea.

We are sorry to hear that Mr. Pressler is ill. We sincerely hope he is better soon. Does anyone suppose that when he is well, he is going to return my call and get us $45,000 for our coach? We think not.

My wife and I set about looking for a smaller motor home in February in the Phoenix area. We were happy to find that we did not run into any of the tactics Freedom RV had used to "close the sale" and dump something on us that was other that what we actually wanted.

After a few days, we found a perfect 26 foot 2007 Winnebago at Robert Crist and Company RV (800) 225-2134 in Mesa just East of Phoenix. Imagine our shock when they offered $25,000.00 in trade for our coach. Heck, that is roughly $20,000.00 less than we paid Freedom RV last summer! Plus, we still owe $43,000.00 on the unit.

We went ahead and purchased the 26 foot Winnebago from Robert Crist. We then set about trying to get as much of our money back on the unit we purchased from Freedom RV as possible. After speaking with several RV consigners, we were pretty much told the Robert Crist offer was "about right." We would be very lucky to get more than perhaps $29,000.00 at best.

Freedom RV seems to think we should be very happy with our "$47,000.00" coach. Can you see why we are not smiling?

After we spoke with several consignment lots, we found some folks we really liked, Always RV and Marine (480) 626-2231 in Mesa. After examining the coach, sales manager Dave Tomlinson had a few things to say about the unit. He said on the plus side the floor plan is good and the mileage is under 50,000. However, he pointed at the de-laminated fiberglass on the side of the coach and the inside repairs to the walls. "They scream water damage," he said.

The unit has been cleaned and detailed. He has the unit listed at $39,000.00, but we don't hold out much hope he will get anywhere near that much. Our plan is to leave it on Dave's lot until the southern market dries up in April. If we can't get $29,000.00 for it here, I will likely fly down and drive it home when the market picks up in the northern states. I will follow up with pictures of the coach showing the wall repairs. It is a little hard to see the bubbling on the side of the coach where the fiberglass is de-laminating in the pictures, but believe me it is there.

And speaking of believing, it seems that the folks at Freedom RV figured that while they were at it, they would accuse me of "misrepresenting" the condition of my trade in vehicles. I have to tell you, my mouth LITERALLY dropped open when I read their comments about my trade-ins. I also spoke with the mechanic who maintains my vehicles, Wayne Avery at Gold Seal Auto (509) 327-5667 on Northwest Boulevard in Spokane. Wayne is every bit as flabbergasted by Freedom RV's allegations regarding the condition of the vehicles as we are.

Permit me to tell the truth about these vehicles, beginning with the 2002 Alero. This is a very low slung car, with not much ground clearance. The former owner of the car, my daughter in law, bumped a large rock at the edge of a parking lot. The impact damaged a mounting bracket on the right fog lamp and left some visible marks in the fiberglass cowling near the fog lamp. When I purchased the car from her, I repaired the bracket so the fog lamp pointed where it was supposed to. The other damage is cosmetic in nature and I felt not worth bothering to repair. If you look carefully at the pictures I am going to send you of the vehicle, you might be able to discern some minor scratches on the center of the rear bumper. You might also be able to see the minor damage to the front bumper I described. In any case, you can clearly see that this vehicle has not been wrecked.

The folks at Freedom RV failed to mention that this vehicle has less than 70,000 miles on it. This car handles and drives great. Gold Seal Auto has done some work on the fuel system and air conditioning in the last few years. Les Schwab replaced the front brake rotors. Other than that, it has not needed repairs. "Wrecked" indeed. I don't know who is kidding whom here, but somebody is clearly kidding somebody. I would sure like to know where the car is today, Maybe somebody has invested in a new front cowling, maybe not. I told Freedom RV right up front about the minor cosmetic damage, which they could clearly see for themselves.

"Misrepresented" my foot!

Wayne of Gold Seal Auto and I also scratched our heads about what supposed repairs the truck might need. As I reported to Freedom RV, it has 147,000 miles on it, but Wayne and I agree it is a real cream puff. It was recently serviced and lubed. The Transmission Fluid had been replaced less than 10,000 miles ago. I just put $1000.00 worth of high grade tires on it at Les Schwab. After seeing Freedom RV's comments about the Alero, however, I don't put in much stock in what they (or whoever they are dealing with) say about the truck either.

We traded these vehicles in because we recently inherited a couple others, not because there was anything wrong with them. We would gladly have them back if it were possible. Did I mention that truck was a cream puff? The Alero is no slouch either.

So lastly, there is the trailer Freedom RV is supposedly taking a bath on. Freedom RV fails to mention that we purchased this trailer from them less than two years ago. Based on Avista Credit Union (509) 489-0500 records, it looks like we paid $18,000.00 for it. I did put a minor scrape on the left rear, but otherwise it is in better condition than when we bought it. So here we are less than two years later and Freedom RV cannot pay us $12,000.00 and come out whole? How did it's value drop from $18,000 to less than $10,000 in under two years? Hmmmmm?

So we are to believe that there are issues with ALL THREE of my trade ins? Strikes me that once these guys started piling it, they figured they might as well pile it wide and deep!

Freedom RV can talk all they want about high book NADA retail values. The only thing that matters is what I get when I try to sell it. My wife and I are getting ready to pay some "stupid tax." The only questions are how soon and how much?

I will be following up with some photos showing the condition of the motor home and the Alero soon. Thank you for your attention in this matter.

Best Regards,

John T. Dunlap

Response:

Freedom RV has done nothing wrong in this transaction and will not be blackmailed into giving someone their money back because the decided they would like a different size. The customer fully inspected the coach when they bought it, and if they had concerns as to anything they had the option to have it inspected by an independent third party at the time of the purchase....

We wish the customer the best but will not be paying any money back, and did nothing wrong in the transaction. If the customer wished to work with their salesman who works in Arizona to sell it for them, that is their choice. If you consign a coach at a dealership, they will want to make some money on the transaction. To think that you can buy an RV at a retail show and think you can resell it for what you paid for it is illogical unless you sell it yourself via private party.

Best Wishes.....

Revdex.com,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Regards,

Dear [redacted],

Review: My wife and I bought a 2002 Winnebago Brave from Freedom RV on September 1st of 2012. Our experience with the salesman [redacted] was a pleasurable one and we knew what we were looking for so it was a quick and easy buying experience, that is until we came to pick up our motorhome on September 8th at 10am. We were promised that a FULL PDI would be done on our coach, I seriously doubt this ever happened. [redacted] said "This rig will look brand new inside and out when they get done". There was a list of things to be done in addition to the FULL PDI to include: tighten microwave, replace rear light lens passenger side, adjust drawers to stay closed, dash A/C charge, replace wood screw covers on slide, replace floor vents and sink covers, the only thing on the list done was the wood screw covers when we came to pick up our coach on the 8th. When we arrived at Freedom the first thing I noticed about my motorhome is that there were several lights not working. The technician I spoke to was not the one that supposedly performed the PDI but, he did replace the bad lights on the spot. I was told that they had to order the sink covers, I'm still waiting, and the correct lens covers since they are supposed to be red and the ones they ordered were orange, I asked him to just put the orange ones on so I would have something, he did and I am still waiting for the phone call to pick up the correct red lenses. The microwave almost shook off of the cabinet on the way home and the kitchen drawer came flying open. Also, the floor vents were not replaced at this time. I arrived at home and did my own inspection of the coach and found a laundry list of things that were wrong. I immediately called [redacted] and he put me in touch with the service manager [redacted]. I told [redacted] what was going on and he told me to make a list and bring the coach in. I made a list of 24 obvious things that I would guess should have been found during a FULL PDI as follows:

1. Did the PDI actually get done?

2. The furniture did not get shampooed

3. There was a VCR in the bedroom when we agreed to purchase, it has been removed

4. There was an RV cover in one of the storage compartments when we agreed to purchase, it has been removed

5. Light lens on rear passenger side missing

6. TV antenna extremely loose and will not crank up

7. Hole in bedroom wall

8. Light fixture in bathroom rusty/no cover

9. Panel above entry door loose (panel where clock hangs)

10. Sewer hose storage tube broken

11. No sink covers for kitchen sink

12. Microwave still loose

13. Floor vent registers not replaced

14. Windshield chipped in several places on driver and passenger side

15. Crack on passenger side windshield

16. Drawer in bedroom won't shut all the way (front wall passenger side)

17. TV in bedroom does not work

18. Dinette seat cushion retainer broken and not screwed

19. Wall on left side of entry door separating (wall where hat rack is)

20. Bathroom drawer guide broken

21. Awning torn/several holes

22. Front jacks tilted/bent

23. Electrical outlet for towing broken

24. Last storage door on passenger side requires 90 pound shock

I also told [redacted] that the brake pedal seemed to be going all the way to the floor and it concerned me. I brought in my Brave and [redacted] made good on most of the repairs. I am still not convinced the FULL PDI was done. I told [redacted] I needed it back by the last weekend in October, which was 3 weeks away, because we were taking a trip. When I called [redacted] told me it was going to be close but, the coach would be ready. Again, [redacted] made good on most of the repairs and though I was not completely satisfied, I had to take the coach because we were taking a trip I had already paid for. From the list I gave [redacted] the following was never taken care of:

1. The furniture did not get shampooed

2. RV cover was never replaced

3. Still don't have red rear lenses though, I do have functional orange lenses.

4. There is still a hole in the bedroom wall

5. No sink covers for the kitchen sink

6. The brake pedal still went to the floor. I was told that the brake pedal is like that because my rig is a workhorse and that the brakes on all workhorses are like that. I later found out when I took my rig into a certified workhorse mechanic that the master cylinder was leaking causing the brake system to lose fluid and pressure and could have cause the brake system to fail completely.

In addition to what did not get accomplished, when we used the kitchen sink for the first time on our trip, water flooded out from under the slide completely soaking the carpet. When I looked under the sink and oven, I discovered that the drain hose was not even attached to the gray water tank. Also, the first time I took my rig out in the rain, I discovered that the windshield leaks. When I investigated this further, I noticed water marks on the upper trim that goes around the windshield and the front curtains had water marks as well, this has been leaking for quite some time but it was not fixed or even noticed during the FULL PDI. Further, the first time we used the shower, water started coming out of the rear passenger side wheel well and all over the carpet inside. I re-calked the entire shower but, there is still water leaking onto the carpet inside. Additionally, in less than 1 year from purchase I have had to have the following repairs done:

1. Replace engine starting battery- $124.99

2. Replace the brake master cylinder- $1009.43

3. Replace the passenger side hydraulic jack ram- $715.22

4. Replace 2 parking brake pressure switches- $250.02

The above repairs have cost me $1049.40 out of pocket due to paying my deductable and freight, inspection, and shop supplies which are not covered under the warranty I purchased through Freedom RV.

I have been thinking about what to do for quite some time. I was just going to blow it off and never do business with Freedom RV again but, I felt my experience needed to be brought to your attention. Let me be clear, I believe that [redacted] in the service department tried to make good on his word, it seemed to me that they were just overwhelmed at the time. As time goes by and I find more and more things wrong, I cannot just sit back and not say anything. I have spent a lot of time, money and effort to repair what I feel should have already been repaired. The windshield and the shower drove me over the edge.My wife and I bought a 2002 Winnebago Brave from Freedom RV on September 1st of 2012, VIN # [redacted].

The windshield and the shower drove me over the edge.

I sent the above email to the service manager [redacted] on 07/24/2013. He sent the following response:

Hi [redacted],

My suggestion is lets have you bring the coach in in September to October when we have room to bring it in and can go thru your list. Currently we are in the middle of construction which is adding 2 more acres to service, but in the mean time has left us physically screwed for space.... The contractors are 4 months behind schedule.

We can go thru your list again and address items and decided then what we are willing or not willing to do and finish some repairs. I notice a few items on your list are things we would not do on a PDI which is Fuel, Propane, Appliances and major systems, however I am not here to play tit for tat. Lets have you contact me around the end of September when we can get you in and take our time to finish things the right way. I am not trying to put you off, we just physically have zero room right now. We don't even have employee parking.....

Will talk soon:)

Thanks,

I emailed [redacted] on 10/15/2013 and we met on 10/22/2014. After our meeting, where I was told what I was asking for was not going to happen, [redacted] sent the following email:

Hi [redacted],

I met with the owner today and went thru the time frame you and I discussed along with the invoicing for all the money we have dumped into the coach way above and beyond what was agreed to, and he is in agreement the brakes that were done 7 months after taking a trip to Levenworth are not something Freedom will be covering.

I know you are not happy with that, however if the brakes were as large of a concern as you make them sound now, you should have taken the coach in that October..... It also was never on your list of anything service was given by you.....

Sorry we are not able to cover that expense, but we have to draw the line somewhere........

Thanks,

I responded with the following email on 10/25/2013:

Hey [redacted],

Unfortunately, this was the response I was anticipating. While I appreciate your time and I know you are acting in what is the best interest of Freedom, I still don't understand your logic? I explained why we didn't take it in in October and didn't drive it again until it came out of storage. When we did drive it again, it was straight to the certified Workhorse repair shop. But, I guess, it is what it is and at the end of the day, I can live with that part. Now that the brake issue is settled and you have made it clear that Freedom is not responsible, I have a few other questions.

1. Did the PDI get done? During our conversation I stated that the kitchen sink drain hose was disconnected, it appeared to be for quite some time, and it flooded my kitchen floor the 1st time it was used. I also mentioned that the shower was leaking very badly under the shower and out of the wheel well. You indicated that both of these things should have been noticed and fixed during a PDI. Just curious if they should have, why weren't they? Maybe some further training is needed? I bet your paperwork says they were done.

2. You stated that there was not a VCR in the bedroom when it was checked nor was there a cover in the storage compartment according you the paperwork when it was checked in. Your paperwork also said the PDI was done but, the shower and the kitchen weren’t done and the master cylinder was bad. Is there a chance these things got missed?

3. You stated that Freedom RV went above and beyond for me? While I do appreciate the work that was done, I was never once told that what I was asking for was “above and beyond” until our conversation on 10/22/2013. I was never told what was involved in the PDI and was never told that what I was asking for was something extra and out of the ordinary. I was told to bring a list in by the service manager, [redacted], and it would be handled. I also asked him to check the brakes and I was told that all Workhorse chassis brakes go to the floor. At no time did [redacted] tell me that any of my requests were “above and beyond” what would be accomplished prior to delivery. In fact, I never asked for a new awning nor did I ask for the jacks to be repaired. The awing and jacks were noticed by technicians in the service department. I added them to the list when I brought the rig back in, as per [redacted]’s request, so they wouldn’t be missed. Why would Freedom RV accomplish work, if it wasn’t something that should have been fixed in the first place? Why was I not told when the work was being accomplished that what I was asking for was “above and beyond”? I think [redacted] did a fantastic job trying to make things right by the way.

4. You continually stated that I want a new motorhome and the one I purchased was 10 years old. I do not want a new motorhome. Freedom RV made a LOT of money off of me and I don’t think replacing drawer guides and tightening a microwave is asking for a new motorhome. I feel that my list was full of obvious stuff that I noticed within in 1 hour of looking at my motorhome and was not unreasonable.

5. Your sales people are really fast talkers. I was told that my furniture would be shampooed and it would be detailed. It would look new inside and out. My expectation was raised sky high. I was told that during the PDI, they go through “everything” inside and out and fix "everything" so it will be like new. The “like new” phrase was used a lot but, we were never once told exactly what the PDI entails, we were just led to believe everything would be fixed. You might want to instruct them to stop being salespeople for just one minute to explain what actually happens during a PDI so customers know what they are getting.

6. You stated that the PDI covers major systems to include the brakes. I’m not sure why the leaking mater cylinder would not have been noticed if the brake system was checked? None the less, you openly admit that your service department is maxed out. Is it not possible that they missed some things during the PDI? Is it not possible that some things got over looked? Like the leaking shower, the disconnected kitchen drain, the leaking master cylinder?

7. You state that I waited too long to have the brakes checked. According to your work authorization form, “All work must be done in our shop and completed within 30 days of sale date”. I bought my motorhome on 9/1/2012, the things on the work authorization form were not accomplished until 10/26/2012, just saying. I’m still waiting on my sink covers and red light lenses almost a year later, no call or contact to say “Were working on it”. Also, I still beleive the PDI needs to be accomplished but, I guess I can live with that as well. So if were talking about time limits, Freedom RV seems to want to enforce a time limit but, not follow one?

Just some concerns I have. I know I already voiced them to you during our conversation but, we seemed to get focused on the brakes and didn't discuss much else. At this point, you have made your position very clear and I understand you have a job to do. I can't get mad at that, you are just acting in the best interest of your employer and I was acting in the best interest of myself, your customer.

My last request as your customer is as follows:

1. Can I please get a copy of all of the maintenance you have performed on my motorhome so I can have them for my maintenance records?

2. Can I please get a print out of what the PDI entails?

3. Can I please get my sink covers?

After that, I am out of you hair and you will not see me again.

Thanks,

[redacted] responded with the following email:

[redacted],

You have stated previously you already got your sink covers, not to worry about them.... The due bill items are long past expired. I will send your copies in the mail of the services performed......

Thanks,

I did not get the sink covers from Freedom, I manufactured some myself. They did not fulfill their obligation. Also, I did not get a copy of what the PDI covers but, I did get copies of the maintenance records after several requests.Desired Settlement: I feel it is the responsibility of Freedom RV to deliver on what I was promised and repair everything that should have been found during a FULL PDI in addition to the repairs that I was promised would be done. I am asking that the shower and windshield get repaired in addition to the items I was originally promised:

1. The furniture did not get shampooed

2. RV cover was never replaced

3. Still don't have red rear lenses though, I do have functional orange lenses.

4. There is still a hole in the bedroom wall

5. No sink covers for the kitchen sink

It would be nice to get the out of pocket $674.39 I had to spend on the master cylinder and jack ram as well since these items should have been found and repaired during the FULL PDI.

I thank you for your attention to this [redacted]er and look forward to your response.

Revdex.com,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. As long as they follow thru with what Justin Marshall stated they would when we spoke on the phone on 10/14/2014, I am completely satisfied with this response.

Regards,

I walked in near closing on a Saturday night and told the gentlemen what I wasw looking for and what I could afford to pay. [redacted] showed me 4 trailers, all meeting my specifications. Since it was near closing time, I asked if I needed to put down a deposit and come back the next morning. No deposit was needed if I came back at opening. The next morning I showed up before the doors opened and we closed the deal. This was all very low pressure, and everything Joe promised he did. Jay handled the financing and he was able to get me a better rate than he originally indicated. Great experience!!

We should have done a lot more research with the Revdex.com and Google befor buying a brand new 100,000.00 plus redwood rv! Our expierance has been absolutely horrible and a continued nightmare to this day.
People, please do your due your research of the company first before you make a decision to buy. Your salesman may be wonderful as Vince was to us. But how the company warranty and service treat you are a whole different deal. [redacted]. And [redacted]

Review: I bought a travel trailer from Freedom RV at the beginning of summer and have had many problems. I bought an extended warranty with the trailer but I can never get a hold of anyone at freedom RV to help fix the issues. They did come out after the last time I made contact the manufacturer, took measurements, and fixed a couple of minor issues but I'm still waiting for them to finish what they started. The problems are continuing and I beginning to think they sold me a trailer that is not to Heartland's standard. I did a lot of research and found these trailers are very good and reliable. What is more concerning is the fact I paid for a warranty but can never talk to the right people at Freedom RV and have to keep emailing the manufacturer for help. I need to get these issues taken care of with winter approaching. I'm gone a lot with the military which leaves my wife and 7 year old alone. They use the trailer all the time but it's getting to the point where they are not able to use it because the minor issues are turning into major issues. I almost wish I could just return the trailer and start over again; I just don't have time to keep dealing with this stuff. Thank you very much for any help you might be able to provide.

The issues are as follows:

- Toilet will not drain and is beginning to leak underneath the trailer

- The bathroom ceiling is still cracked (they came out and measured the ceiling but never fixed it)

- Awning leaks above the entry door

- Down spouts on the roof do not drain

- The molding where the master bed sits on is breaking apart

- Hot water heater continues to ignite when its already running (again they look at this but never came back to fix it)

Below is email traffic I've had with Heartland, the manufacturer of our trailer and one email from the RV manager at Freedom RV. He responded to Heartland, I still am yet to talk to him about our defective trailer. Freedom RV was cc'd in my response to Mr. [redacted]

Ma'am,

Let me first respond by saying thank you for helping with the issues we've had with our travel trailer. I'd like to take the time to respond to some of the statements that Mr. [redacted] has made. When I bought the trailer we found several issues that were supposed to be fixed before its delivery. Furthermore, when it was delivered we encountered more issues such as the blind that was not damaged by us, a crack in the bathroom ceiling, the pilot light that continues to "click" or attempt to light when its actually lit, and a bathroom door that would not fully shut.

We attempted multiple times to contact the service department but our efforts fell on deaf ears, which is why I contacted you the first time. After I emailed you, Freedom RV called and agreed to come out and fix the issues that we found. (their "good will to the customer"). The tech came out and placed a new table top on the table legs, measured the crack in the roof, borrowed tools from me in an attempt to fix the bathroom door, measured the blind, and looked at the pilot light issue. This is the last I heard from Freedom RV concerning these issues.

The most recent email I sent to you is in regards to a drainage issue with the holding tank (it will not fully drain and my wife noticed moisture below the tank on the exterior of the trailer). My wife called and talked to a person who said it may be a possibility for them to come out and fix the new problems. We were supposed to get a call back the next day but never did. My wife attempted to make contact with one of the managers three times to no avail.

I'm not sure what Mr. [redacted] is talking about when he says we were told the first trip out our trailer was a "good will to the customer" In fact, this is the first time I've heard this term used. I, in no way ever expected them to come out and fix the trailer again though it would be nice since they sold me a substandard product. It would have been nice to be sold a 20,000.00 trailer that did not have as many problems as its had but wishful thinking I guess.

I will continue with my attempts to contact Freedom RV concerning my trailer and appreciate the help you have provided. I've learned a lot with this email traffic and will continue to keep you posted on my progress.

Respectfully,

[redacted];

I have no open work orders. When the customers took delivery of this unit there was a damaged dinette table in the unit. It was lot damage and we ordered and replaced it at our cost. As a good will to this customer, the service manager sent a tech up to their location and installed the table and made several other minor repairs. We never placed a claim, we just did it under a goodwill to the customer. The customer also advised there was a blind that was damaged, (this was customer damage), the tech took measurements and we ordered one. We also advised the customer that they could come down, get it and install it themselves. We did a good will to a customer who just bought and now they think we are going to come up to their location each time they are having an issues. We advised that the 1st time was a good will and that they need to bring it to our facility for repairs because Heartland RV Warranty does not cover service calls, and their EX-Warranty does not kick in until the factory warranty Expires. We would be more then happy to look at their unit and do repairs, they just need to make an appointment and bring the unit to us for repairs. There location is about 1 hour, 1 hour 20 mins. 1 way. If you need anything else, please let me know. Thank you.

Sir,

In reference to our email traffic where you made the claim the defective blinds were an item we broke. Please read below where Mr. [redacted] explains the problem. Again, we have not broken anything in the trailer, we simply found more defects which your technician came out and looked at, took measurements, and said you would fix. The trip out which you call a "good will to the customer" ( a term I'm trying to understand) didn't' really produce anything but a new table top that should have been fixed before it was delivered. Furthermore, the blinds should have been replaced as well but this also did not occur. My recommendation, do your home work before you blame the customer. Please provide contact information so I can bring the trailer back for you to fix the defects that should have been fixed months ago before it was delivered. As you have complained to Ms. [redacted] about the time it takes to get from your store to Loon Lake, I will waste my time bringing the trailer back so Freedom RV can address these issues. Thank you so much for your customer support!

We made an offer to Freedom RV for a 5th Wheel and Truck package. They declined to accept. They called a day or so later (6/21) and said they would accept the offer. We put down earnest money. We set up a time to pick up the RV. (7/22/13) During the sales process we noticed a large hole in the RV. The Salesman told us a story about a "fired" employee who liked to drink and how he rammed the RV with a Forklift. The salesman said we wouldn't even know anything had happened when they get done fixing it.
We had made as part of the offer to add Sleep Number mattress, Washer-Dryer, added A/C in the bedroom.
As a part of our purchase experience, we would be taken on a walk through of the RV and training on how to use and take care of the unit.
A couple of weeks before our scheduled pick up of the RV, my wife picked up the pickup and paid a % of the total to take it away.
When we arrived at our scheduled time. (10 AM), the RV had been moved to the main lot but in the 30+ days since we bought it, nothing had been done with the Washer/Dryer, 2nd A/C,mattress. There were guys working as hard as they could cutting holes and making good on a promise. after a few hours we were ready to walk away because they had 4 weeks to accomplish this. They wrote up a promise that said they would have the unit fixed at OUR home which was 270 miles away within 30 days. We accepted.
Anyway, we took possession of the RV after making the final payment.
Sometime within the first month, we recieved a call from the Finance MGR ([redacted]). He said he had made a mistake on the final payment. I told him we would make good on the debt when Freedom keeps their promise.
Two weeks later (8/6), we rec'd the sleep number beds. I opened them and found them to be queen sized. I called Sleep Number and told them this was supposed to be King sized. I was told that queen was ordered and they could not be returned. I tried calling local Sleep Number retail outlets and was unable to find a way to trade or exchange. Tried to contact someone at Freedom RV. Took 2 days to get a response about what to do with the mattress boxes. We didn't have a place to store them.
After arguing with the service department at Freedom RV that there WAS a king sized mattress, one was ordered and received on 8/24.
No more discussion from Freedom RV until October 22. They sent an email wondering where their money was. I asked him to check the file and asked why the WE OWE YOU list hadn't been addressed. He wrote back and said the parts are in and we "will hear from him today". I sent an email asking that emailing should be the 1st way to communicate with us and sent our address to both.
12/12/13 - Got this email from the same guy. ([redacted])
Please call me, so we can get this cleared up ###-###-####
This needs to be resolved by the end of the year or we will be forced to submit an affidavit of repossession as we are the lienholder on your vehicle and the final payment date has far passed. This is your final notice as you refuse to return phone calls. Your balance due is $11,760.75 and will be paid in full by before January 1st 2014 or it will be picked up.
Thanks for your immediate attention to making this payment!

?On Jan 8/2014? I sent an email to the service manager asking about progress. This was the last email communication from Freedom RV.
Sometime in Jan or Feb a new accountant called and asked for money. I told her to get caught up on our file.
2/10/15, I received calls/email from an [redacted], WA company, 5th Wheeel Place RV, [redacted]. ###-###-####. that would come to fix the rig. I have received a couple of pcks to the site and opened them and explained to the repair company what was in them. Also sent pictures to them of the repairs needed.
They came out and replaced the front storage door. The aluminum was not the right part for the fork lift hole.
This was the last email that I rec'd from either company. Only phone calls.
The [redacted] came two more times. Once to replace the needed aluminum and then to apply decals. (July 15)
I received a call from Freedom RV and explained to her that the repairs were still not "factory spec" or to my satisfaction.
This company promised 30 days to fix what should have been fixed prior to delivery. It took over a year to fix and it still isn't factory new.
Stay away from this dealer. There are many dealers that will take care of you and do what they promise.

We were looking for an inexpensive trailer for my brother in law to live in .
He is homeless with some mental health issues and limited resources .
When we entered Freedom RV we were instantly given a gracious greeting .
Our salesman was very attentive when we explained our situation and showed us what they had in our range . He was also quite fun to deal with , great sense of humor . A trailer that was perfect for us was chosen . The sales manager took over , having been told of our situation he gave us a great deal !!! Pleasure doing business

Review: My husband and I entered a contract to buy an RV with Freedom RV on 3/24/14. This contract was contingent on us obtaining bank financing. Freedom RV was aware of this and, in fact, the contract states (where my husband signed), "Terms Subject to Final Bank Approval." We put a $5,000 deposit down on the RV at that time, which was to be refunded if we were not able to obtain financing. On 3/26/14 (less than 48 hours after signing the contract), we contacted our salesman at Freedom RV, [redacted], to inform them that we were unable to obtain financing. [redacted] had us meet with him later that day (at his request) to fill out another loan application, this time for Freedom RV's lender. He was confident that he could obtain financing for us. We contacted [redacted] the next day to see where they were on the loan, and were told the loan officer was out of the office until 3/31/14. We called back on 4/1/14 to again check the status of the loan, and were told that [redacted] was out of the office until 4/2/14. We left a message for [redacted] to call us back.We still had not received a return call from [redacted] on 4/2/14, so we called him. At that time, we were informed that our loan application had been denied, but that if we did not follow through on the contract anyway, we would lose our $5,000 deposit. We have requested from Freedom RV (numerous times) that they refund our $5,000 deposit, as they had agreed to do. However, they have refused. They claim that they had to special order the RV from the factory, and that is why they cannot refund the money. However, the exact RV we wanted to purchase was on their lot. Freedom RV was the one who wanted to order our RV from the factory. After contacting Freedom RV (and the Tiffin factory) numerous times regarding this, they did finally offer to give us a $5,000 "credit" towards the future purchase of an RV. However, as we cannot obtain financing, it is not realistic that we would be able to use any "credit" towards the purchase of an RV.Desired Settlement: Refund of $5,000.00 down payment.

Response:

On March 24th the [redacted] came to the store, special ordered a new motorhome and put a non-refundable down payment on the coach so the factory would start building if for them, as they demaned in be put in writing the coach would be compeleted in 90 days!

The coach was ordered from the factory and put in the system exactly how they ordered it. The [redacted] did NOT have any contingency on financing as they stated they already had secured financing for the coach and would not need any.........

Later in the week the [redacted] called and explained they would not be able to get the loan they wanted because their bank would be requiring them to pay off their bankruptcy and if they did so they would incur other fees, that is a choice they are making to not pay off those fees, it was never a contingency for the deal. We then told them we would try and secure financing for them but are unable to without them paying off their bankruptcy, as their bank had told them. They told us they could pay off the bankruptcy but are choosing not to so they do not have to pay fees for money which was forgiven.

The contract they signed clearly states the financing was a one time payment due in full on or before 6/22/2014 which does not lend to being subject to any final bank approval because it was a cash deal.

The contract also states the down payment is non-refundable and is signed acknowledging this. The customer also called the factory because they said we never ordered the coach and they confirmed by Tiffin the coach was on order and could not be cancelled!

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received, your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved]

Revdex.com,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Freedom RV claims that this was a cash sale for an RV. However, that is simply not true! I have attached a copy of the contract we signed with them, which clearly states at the top, "Retail Installment Sale Contract, Simple Finance Charge," and is titled at the bottom, "Truth in Lending." Further on the back of the contract, towards the bottom under "Notice," the contract states, "Any holder of this consumer credit contract..." The entire contract references financing! Most importantly though, on the first page of the contract, towards the bottom right, where they had my husband sign his initials, the contract states (in a capital letters), "TERMS SUBJECT TO FINAL BANK APPROVAL."

Never at any time, did we tell Freedom RV this would be a cash sale. We were very upfront about the fact that we have an open bankruptcy and were very concerned that we would even be able to obtain credit. They assured us that it would be fine. When we applied for credit with our lender we were turned down. Freedom RV also tried to find us financing, and were unable to. They even looked as far as a bank in Montana. There is no way that we would have paid a non-refundable deposit of $5,000.00 that was not contingent on us getting credit, as we were worried from the beginning about being able to obtain a loan!

As for the "special order" of the RV. We wanted to purchase the RV that Freedom RV had on their lot (the 2014 Allegro 36LA). That is the RV we wanted. However, Freedom RV stated that they could not sell us the RV on their lot because it was early in the season and they needed it for a demo. Therefore, they offered us a $3,000.00 discount on the RV if they could order us one from the factory, as we would have to wait an additional 90 days for delivery of the RV. The one that Freedom RV was going to order from the factory was exactly the same as the one they had on the lot. Therefore, it wasn't a "special order," or a custom RV. Further, we only were going to have them order it because they wouldn't sell us the one on the lot.

For these reasons, I reject the business's response in this matter as it not truthful, and I ask for further assistance from the Revdex.com in getting this matter resolved.

Response:

The contract clearly states it is a cash deal. That's why there are NO finance charges and NO payments. It was a one time cash payment due at time of delivery... The contract clearly states this.

The contract also clearly states the down payment is non refundable... The customer told us they had all their financing already approved, all they had to do was pay off their bankruptcy! The customer then chose not to pay off their bankruptcy because they would have to pay fees for part of the debt that was forgiven. That is their choice to do so, but it does not change the fact they said the coach must be built within 90 days and insisted that be put in writing, which it was...

Revdex.com,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. Please look at the contract language in the first response that I sent to you. My husband signed the line that said "Terms Subject To Final Bank Approval". This business has a history of doing this to their customers. After this happened to us, I looked online and read comments made by other consumers. As an example, please look at the "ripoff report" online as well as Yahoo. A report posted on Yahoo on 01/07/12 from [redacted] says "BEWARE! This dealership makes its own rules..........

I am so concerned that this is happening to other consumers that I am considering filing a report with the Washington State Attorney General's Office. I am surprised that a business with these business practices could be rated A+ by the Revdex.com.

Regards,

My husband I went to look at RV's when they were selling at the Spokane Fairgrounds. We decided we would see what type of loan we could get on an RV we liked. We signed the credit check paperwork and a buyers agreement. We left, then on Saturday my husband went back to let them know we couldn't do it, due to unexpected medical bills that we will be incurring in the near future. Mind you we did not receive our credit score or any copies of the paperwork we signed. We received a call 1 week later telling us to come pick up the RV we purchased. My heart sank. We were told we signed a legal, binding, WA state contract and we needed to pick the RV up. I asked who the lender was, but could not get an answer. I was told I could call my attorney, the Revdex.com and the Attorney Generals office, there was nothing they would do. Liars!!! I did call my attorney, and the Revdex.com. The next day we no longer had an RV that Freedom said we had.

Consumers beware. You do not have a legal binding contract in WA State unless you take the vehicle or RV off the lot after you sign a typed and signed contract.

I purchased a brand new 2013 pull trailer in March, paid over $3000 for extra warranty and what they call a PDI, which guarantees everything to be working. I was told the PDI was $700 but was charged $1695. I read the [redacted] dealer agreement and being it was a new trailer they are suppose to do a presale inspection and make sure everything is working as part of selling [redacted] trailers. They are changing an added fee for this service, yes it's optional to pay the extra. Getting any needed repairs is impossible they just juggle your calls through several people and keep saying the person responsible isn't there but will call you back, they never call back. Horrible place take your money elsewhere. I have two friends who bought trailers there and are having the same issues.

Review: We purchased a camper from Freedom in January 2013. Through this process we were sold on a warranty that the sales/finance gentleman described as 'covers stupid;. He gave the examples of: If your god chews the table, couch, or wiring it is all covered. If you forget to blow out the lines and they freeze and crack, it is covered. We have used the camped about a half-dozen times, and with some wear and tear and an early winter we had some issues. We called the service shop to schedule an appointment and were told the wait is 3-4 weeks out. We requested to order the parts in advance since we knew we at least needed a new water heater and were told not to worry because the parts take 48 hours to receive.

My husband dropped off the camper and did a walk through with the service department. During this we found out that the warranty we were sold on was bogus, that we aren't the first people to have this issue and that the gentleman that sold it to us was fired for this very reason. We were also told that some issues, like the vent above the master bed not closing was not a manufacturers issue because it was made by a third party so even though it is a manufacturing issue, they will do nothing to help us with that. On top of all of this, from the moment we scheduled the service we made it clear what day we needed it back by to complete our bi-annual road trip. They even went as far as to ask my husband the priority of items needing fixed. Well, today is the day we were supposed to pick up our camper and now we are told it is 2 weeks out for parts and nothing has been done. No apologies made, no suggestions to correct the situation. No call in advance to notify us of a delay. This has been the most unprofessional experience we have ever dealt with.Desired Settlement: 1) Refund us the amount, PLUS interest of the bogus warranty

2) Repair all of the issues in your own time, but provide us with an equal or better RV to utilize during our trip. We have reservations that can't be canceled, other people relying on us and our camper.

We called 6 weeks ago, you've had the camper for two weeks. Fix this issue.

Response:

This is [redacted] I am the General Manager of Freedom Rv. Service contracts are in Place to help offset service issues. We give out literature when we sell the product and explain all processes at this time. Now I know I was not here then but I have never heard of any finance manager saying it covers everything. Freedom Rv will always get the provider of the service contract involved in all issues.. We will help out Mr and Mrs [redacted] in any way we can. We administer all service contracts and do what ever we can to get everything covered but like I said before coverage of the items will be in the literature that was presented to them. I will speed up any fixes that I can and do whatever I can to make this a better experience for the [redacted]"s.

Review: On October 22, 2013 my wife and I purchased a 2014 Road Warrior 5th Wheel Toy Hauler from Freedom RV in Liberty Lake, WA. On the day of purchase, our salesman [redacted] agreed to have the toy-hauler fuel filled when we picked up our RV. During our paperwork preparation with [redacted], we were asked to review a “Work Authorization”. It did not have a note about the fuel. I informed [redacted] that [redacted] had agreed to fill the fuel tank so he wrote it on the “Work Authorization” and then I signed it. We would not have purchased the RV if the full fuel had not been included.

We were given an appointment for November 7, 2013 for which we were told that we were required to go through a two hour customer orientation before we could take our new RV home. The RV was not ready at the scheduled time, orientation was very brief, and did not include setting up tables, checking doors or locks, or checking operation of holding tanks. The fuel was not full. [redacted] was gone so several other personnel were consulted, but indicated the full fuel should not have been promised or written on our “Work Authorization” and would not be honored! While waiting outside his office to speak to the general manager, I noticed a Revdex.com plaque on the wall. I stated that I might have to contact the Revdex.com about the problem if it wasn’t resolved. Without even coming out of his office, the manager rudely shouted ‘tell him to go ahead and call ‘em’. In shock, I took our RV and left.

There were several cosmetic and functional problems with our RV, which we reported to our salesman [redacted]. I also asked for his help in remedying the fuel issue. He turned us over to the service department. I made several follow up calls to Freedom RV, and even the manufacturer, Heartland RVs, but it was over seven weeks before they had parts and said we could bring the RV in for repairs on January 15, 2014. I continued to call Freedom RV for updates on the progress of the repairs. We picked our RV up on May 2, 2014 even though all work was still not completed and we still did not receive the fuel we were promised.

We had to return our RV to Freedom RV for completion of service on June 10, 2014 and were told it would only take a couple hours. It took over 24 hours and the service area where they told us we could camp was littered with trash and cigarette butts.

My wife wrote a letter to [redacted], the owner of Freedom RV, on May 16, 2014 expressing our frustrations with the poor customer service, and asking for his help resolving the issues with our $70,000 purchase. When we did not receive a response, she visited with him in person at Freedom RV while we were still waiting for our RV, on June 11, 2014. He told us he would look into our case and he asked her to send him another copy of her letter, which she did on June 17, 2014. We still have not heard back from Mr. [redacted] or anyone else at Freedom RV.

We feel like we have been very patient and have experienced months of frustration with this purchase. We waited to file this complaint until all warranty problems were addressed, and until we had exhausted all reasonable attempts to resolve this with Freedom RV.Desired Settlement: We have only requested that the full fuel authorization be fulfilled and that if Freedom RV is unwilling to honor that contract, we will be able to return our RV for a full refund.

Response:

The owner had authorized the company to pay the [redacted] for fuel. All they have to do is fill up the coach and send in the receipt, and they will be reimbursed.

We are not sure where the communication broke down and apologize. The [redacted] may send in the receipt and will be reimbursed immediately.

Freedom RV

Revdex.com,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and would like to note that I was not notified of the owners approval until this time. I am sending a fuel receipt to the company but would like to keep this complaint open until payment is made due to the length of time it has taken to get a response to this matter already.

Regards,

We bought a new class c mini motorhome a year and a half ago. They have a decent selection and the sales guy was low pressure. When we bought it there were a few things that needed fixing and cleaned up and they said they detail all of their units before the customer picks it up. We went to get it the following weekend and not ONE thing was done on it that was supposed to be. We waited an hour so they could start on it and finally we left with it. Shortly after we took it out for a weekend the kitchen faucet started leaking, the corner paneling started falling off, one slide out kept sticking, the battery kept dying and a few months later the water heater went out. We took it in to have maintenance work done on it to fix all the issues. We told them we needed it back by a specific date and gave the service dept about 10 days to repair it. We picked it up and a few days later took it out for a long weekend only to find out again, NOT ONE THING FIXED ON IT!! In fact, the slide out now wouldn't even go out! My husband called them and was told someone would drive and come pick it up after our vacation since we live about 2 1/2 hrs away. On our way home my husband called to tell them they could come and get it only to be told there is no way that will happen so now we have to take time off of work to bring it back again. We dropped it off on a Sunday because we were leaving on vacation for 10 days. We received a call that it was ready so we picked it up on our way home, going 2 hrs out of our way and IT WASNT EVEN LOOKED AT! They pulled it in after an hour of waiting. Once it was 'done' my husband asked for them to show him everything was fixed. Again, many things still weren't done including the slide out! My husband then talked to the manager who swore up and down that heads would roll and that we are the 1% this happens to. He asked my husband what he could do to make it up to us... He said buy it back as we do want to upgrade to a pusher. The manager told our sales guy to "make it happen" but to date nothing has happened as promised. We were told that we are the 1% this happens to but it's Strange since it's happened 3 times now. The last time we picked it up my husband waited over 3 hrs and we had been called and told it was done days before! All we have gotten from this location is lip service and many many empty promises and apparently unqualified service people. We will NEVER buy from this dealership again. Worst service ever!! In fact when we were checking out pushers we talked with a few sales guys who were at different dealerships who specifically said the volume of sales & repairs is more than this location can handle. We were also told that what happened to us happens a lot more than anyone knows... People just let it go and don't let the public know.
