Full House Movers, Inc. Reviews (69)

I am very particular about my things. That is why I always get anxious when it comes to moving somewhere. But on my last move, Full House Movers gave me a great experience. They are very professional and punctual to deal with. On the day of the move, they came and padded and wrapped my furniture so well that all those were in perfect condition without any scratches or dents. They knew what I wanted and helped me to set up all the things in the new house perfectly within a short time. I was really impressed to see that the crew gave their 100% for my satisfaction and the price was also affordable! Give them a try if you want to be relaxed while moving, they are just wonderful.

Stay away!! First they showed up to my apartment with a truck already 3/4 full. They fit what they could and said they would have to come back tomorrow. The problem was I didn't have the place tomorrow, AND, I needed to begin my drive that night (moving across two states). Their solution? Give me your key and we will come back tomorrow without you here and we promise to get all your stuff. How frightening to have to wait 9 days to see if they upheld their end of the bargain. Then, I go to pay them with a money order (money order or cash they told me) only to be told it has to be a "postal" money order. How archaic! Not every post office even does postal money orders anymore. What could possibly be wrong with a [redacted] money order? Off I went to find a bank so that I could cash the money order into cash. To top it all off, the truck arrived with just two guys to unload and set up all my furniture. This was horrific because the condo property I moved into states this type of activity must be completed by 6pm (which I had communicated clearly up front). The truck arrived at 4:20pm. Two guys. I was told it would be four. Really. There were also several items damaged along the way. One was a dresser that someone had clearly stood on and caved it in. Stay stay stay away from Full House and [redacted] (the parent company)!!!

Review: This place is beyond shady!! I chose Full House Movers to handle my move from Sacramento to Seattle and was told over the phone by that it would take about a week for my belongings to be delivered. When the movers initially came to my Sacramento apartment they loaded everything up and THEN had me sign a waiver stating that it could take up to 21 business days to deliver my belongings! I am now on day 17 (sleeping on the floor, wearing the same few clothes, have nothing to cook with, etc.) and have heard nothing about where my belongings are located or when they will be delivered. I have attempted to call and email the company with only the canned email response that " a driver will be contacting me to arrange the delivery" and that my belongings are "in a secure location". At this point, I am concerned with the safety of my belongings as well as am concerned if I will ever get them delivered to me at all. Additionally, I was quoted a price for the move and agreed to the quote, but when the movers came they raised the amount by $400! I am fearful that when they deliver (if this ever happens) that they will charge even more money when some extra sneaky, hidden fees. I am also concerned as to why they are keeping my things instead of delivering them- are they going through my belongings? Isn't it more cost-effective to deliver my goods instead of storing them? This was a total bait and switch. I would do anything to get my nearly $2500 back and go with a different moving company. I don't believe they are running an honest company. There is no reason for them to keep my things after I paid for their services. I am now at the point where I feel my only resolution may be to call local authorities.Desired Settlement: I would like for my belongings to be delivered immediately and with reduced charges because I was quoted a price that they did not stick to, and I have had to wait longer than the time I was originally told it would take for my belongings to be delivered. I would like an explanation of where my belongings have been kept this entire time, and I would like an explanation of why they kept them instead of delivering them as they were paid to do.

Response:

Dear [redacted],We do apologize it is taking more then anticipated as it is busy season and our trucks are delivering all over the nation, we do aim for a 14 business day window as a goal and assure within 21 business days. In this case it took more then average and we are anticipating delivery within 17 business days give or take so truck seems like it will be delivering 20-23.I assure you we are doing all we can to get up there as soon as possible and will be sure to keep you posted. We apologize again for the inconvenience and will be in contact when we get closer.

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because: I have directly emailed the business with specific questions that I still need to have answered- such as, where EXACTLY is the location of my belongings. When EXACTLY will I be receiving my belongings. WHY has it taken so long to reach me, with specifics! I still have not received a response back from them. Today is day 19 with no contact from a delivery driver. I am furious. I keep getting these canned responses back with no specific details and I am now assuming the worst-- my property has been lost or stolen and is not ever making its way back to me. My entire life was in this company's hands and they are acting like it is no big deal. I was told it would take 5-7 days to receive my goods. Then it changed to a week. Then it changed to the 12th-15th of the month. They just keep pushing it back without any excuse. Please help me understand why I have paid for a service that I have not received. If it is because they are just waiting for enough cargo to fill up a truck and make a trip, then they are a bunch of criminals because that is NOT what I was told when I hired them. I did not pay to have my things stored in some random location while I helplessly wait for enough people to magically decide to move to Seattle so that my stuff can be delivered with theirs.

As explained before, there is a claim department designated licensed and authorized to handle all claims submitted based on federal regulations. The client was provided with this complimentary adjuster details and should move forward with the claim process in order for us to handel and address all issues

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern. I have contacted their 3rd party claims department and have not received a response but at this time I supposed I have to close this complaint. My issue was never resolved but I don't see that I will be receiving any compensation for my damaged items any time soon.

My family and I recently moved from Sacramento to Las Vegas. We had never moved out of state before, and we had never used a full-service company. We used Full House Movers to pack and move us. The whole experience was great. My contact person was available to answer any questions throughout the process. We were communicating via email in the beginning, but he took the time out of his day to call me and make sure I didn't have any further questions. He even called on the actual moving day to make sure things were going well. I was excited that the movers arrived in our house when they said they would arrive! The crew was friendly and professional. Our house was packed and ready earlier than they had told us it would be. An efficient crew, but a quality job as well! They made sure that our wood floors were protected. They arrived in Las Vegas when they said they would. They unpacked us and made sure things were put where we wanted them. We did not have any broken things, so that was a huge plus! Overall, I am happy with Full House Movers and their customer service is awesome. They were prompt when I had a question or concern. The quote for the move was accurate - no hidden fees or surprises. Moving is stressful, but they made the move easier than I had imagined! We will use them again!

Review: I moved from California to [redacted] and contacted several moving companies for moving quotes. Full House Movers, 4208 North Freeway Blvd., Suite 1B, Sacramento, CA 95834, 916-849-8999, was who I chose to contract with after having multiple conversations with Heidi, their representative. On December 15, 2014 a purchase order was emailed to me with the amount of their services which was $4,300.00.

I secured that contract with a $300.00 deposit which was put on my credit card. The contract of $4,300.00 was to transport my belongings from California to [redacted].

I provided Heidi with a detailed list of my belongings that were secured in a 10 x 10 storage unit and two 7x7 storage units. I never deviated from the fact that I had a 10x10 unit and two 7x7 units and they were full.

The price of $4,300.00 was based on the cubic feet of those 3 storage units. I asked Heidi if, on the day of moving, the movers could stop in Richmond and pick up a few boxes, 3 area rugs, and a television console. She stated they could and there would be an additional fee of $50.00 and 40 cubic feet added into the cost.

I agreed on those terms. December 29, 2015, employees of Full House Movers arrived in Richmond and we proceeded to Fremont to emp** the storage units. We got there and [redacted], the man in charge, exclaimed that I had "lots of stuff" and pulled his helpers from loading the truck to show them my "lots of stuff."

Once the truck was loaded, [redacted] asked if I was ready to see the final cost. I was a bit confused, had already agreed on the amount and was sent a contract via email. He proceeded to inform me that I had too much "stuff" and the amount for the move would now be $10,195.50.

I was in a state of shock and could not comprehend the amount. He tried to convince me that I had "too much stuff" and was kind enough to deduct packing materials and gave me another discount of $150.00 which was from a coupon they had on their website.

I argued with him that this is over twice the amount I contracted for, had always said I had 3 storage units and their size, and he wouldn't budge on the final price. He stated he received his calculations by how full his truck was.

My belongings were in their possession, loaded on their truck, and the price of the move more than doubled now that they had possession of my belongings. [redacted] then told me to call the office and discuss the price with the manager but he would need a deposit then and there. I was dumbfounded, in a state of shock and feeling quite pressured!

I wrote a deposit check in the amount of $5,000.00 and gave it to him He then had me sign a contract of estimated charges and waiver of physical survey. I was in total shock, didn't realize what I was signing due to the duress I was under and immediately phoned the office. Now is when [redacted] takes over.

I had been dealing with Heidi all along, I now refer to her as the "hook and bait person." Heidi used to answer the phone every time I phoned, but not since my belongings have been in their possession has she answered the phone. Caller ID is a wonderful thing. So, [redacted] is who I am now dealing with and I inform her of what just occurred and I would like to speak with the manager.

She informed me that he was not available, on another line, and I informed her I was going to issue a stop payment on the deposit check. Shortly thereafter I received a return call from "**" who stated he is the office manager and will review the paperwork from [redacted] when he returns to the office. He stated he would call me the next day.

I did issue a stop payment on the check. I phoned Full House Movers the following morning Tuesday 12/30/14 and left a message informing them I had issued a stop payment on the check and would like to clear this matter up and come to a mutual agreement on the price. I reviewed my past emails with them and found that the initial contract agreement they sent me had been closed out and was no longer available to view online. I drove to their office in Sacramento, arrived there at approximately 3:00 in the afternoon.

The office was emp** except for a desk with a phone on it and a fake plant in the background. I phoned them while standing in front of the office and was informed by [redacted] that "**" the office manager was on the other line and not available.

I informed her that I was standing at the door in front of their office in Sacramento and nobody was there. She immediately put me on hold and "**" immediately came on the line.

He informed me that they were "in the field" and did not know I would be there. I mentioned the message I left in the morning and asked why he had not phoned me back. His response was that I beat him to it.

He stated he reviewed the contract and found it to be to his satisfaction. He would not adjust the price to reflect the contract amount prior to his staff loading their truck with my belongings. I informed him I wanted my belongings back and where could I get them. He stated that my belongings were already in transit and that it was too late.

I accused him of lying to me, that they hadn't gone anywhere, then he put me on hold and came back on the line stating the truck hadn't left yet and that it would cost me close to $2,000.00 to get my belongings back. I was stuck and told him I would think about it and call him back.

I literally had no choice at this point, since it was a lose-lose situation for me, but to proceed with them transporting my belongings to [redacted]. I was to leave in 2 days with my children and they knew that.

I phoned Full House Movers on the 31st of December, informed ** of my intent to proceed, and he informed me that I now had to pay with a debit card. He stated they would not accept payment from me in the form of a credit card due to my stop payment. I argued this with him, but again, I am stuck and he knew it. So that part of my contract had been violated by Full House Movers also.

They also did not provide me with a copy of "Your rights and Responsibilities When You Move" handbook. Upon receipt of my belongings in [redacted] I was to pay by money order or cash.

In between the time my items were picked up by Full House Movers and delivered to my residence in [redacted], I was lied to as to when my belongings left, were in transit, trouble with the truck, etc. Pro Movers (different moving line) delivered my belongings on the 17 of January 2015. Juan Sandoval was the driver and he stated he picked my belongings up at the warehouse in Sacramento, CA on the 13th of January 2015.

I have records of speaking with [redacted] on the 7th of January stating my belongings would arrive between the 18 - 21st of January. My contract stated they would arrive withing 14 days of being loaded on their truck.

That did not happen. I spoke with [redacted] on the 14th of January for an update and was informed by her it was now going to arrive between the 21st -24th. She stated the truck that my belongings were in had broken down at the destination of another delivery and had to be reloaded onto another truck. That never happened, according to Juan Sandoval's testimony of receiving my belongings.

The following link is a US Department of Justice Moving Indictment regarding Rogue Movers. The description of this indictment is exactly what happened to me by Full House Movers and I think "[redacted]," listed in this indictment as the owner of AY Transport in San Jose, is the same [redacted] that met me at my storage unit. [redacted] is "on the run" and the law is looking for him.

Full House Movers also owns a company in Nevada called Triple 7 Movers and they have had investigative reports completed on them by television stations as well as numerous complaints of inflating prices.

Desired Settlement: I would like $5,500.00 of my money returned to me!!!

Sincerely,

Business

The inventory that Ms. [redacted] gave [redacted] prior to her move, the inventory that [redacted] based her quote on was for 136 pieces. The actual inventory at pickup was 247 pieces. The price is based on cubic feet. When her inventory increased by 111 pieces, the cubic feet increased, thus the price increased. On December 22, 2014 a quote (not a purchase order) for $4299.98 was emailed to Ms. [redacted] by [redacted]. The quote clearly states in large red letters “The above estimate is a binding quote for the inventory listed below. Customer may add or subtract any item and final charges will be adjusted accordingly.” She was not emailed a contract, she was emailed a quote. We only fill out the contract at pickup. The movers loaded her apartment first. There were only a small amount of items in the apartment and garage. Once the movers arrived at the storage units, the foreman immediately notified Ms. [redacted] that she had more items than what she had on the quote and therefore the price was going to increase. He communicated this information as soon as he arrived at the storage unit and continued to keep her updated throughout the loading process. As Ms. [redacted] stated, we did give her 2 separate discounts, one for $487.50 and another for $150. The total cost for the move was$9208.00, not $10,195.50. Ms. [redacted] went over the contracts and signed them at pickup and she was given a copy of the contract on the spot. [redacted] is customer service and it is her job to speak with customers after pickup, not the salesperson. This is our standard practice.Once a move is picked up, we update our system and the job is marked as closed. Once a job is closed, the quotes are no longer available online. Again, this is our standard practice; it was not done to deny access to the quote. We apologize that everyone was out in the field working when Ms. [redacted] stopped at ouroffice. We would have gladly scheduled an appointment with her had she let us know she was coming ahead of time.Ms. [redacted]’s contract was not violated. We must collect 50% of the payment before sending any shipment out for delivery, as stated on the contract. We gave Ms. [redacted] a breakdown of the cost of the labor if she wanted to pick up her belongings instead of having us deliver them to Georgia. She chose to have us deliver to GA. We also discounted the transaction fee for her to pay with a debit card. [redacted] gave Ms. [redacted] an estimated delivery timeframe when she called for a deliveryupdate. She explained that the driver will call when he’s 24 hours away to schedule the exact delivery time with the customer and until then, we can only provide an estimated delivery window. The contract does not state that delivery would be within 14 days of being loaded on the truck. On the Long Distance Move Information form that Ms. [redacted] filled out and signed, it states that there are up to 21 business days from the first available date to receive delivery. Ms. [redacted] listed 12/29/14 as the first available date in which her shipment could be received. Delivery information is also available on the quote. The quote also states “Delivery: Please note that regulations state that we guarantee delivery within 30 business days of first available day of delivery. Our average time is 14 business days.”[redacted] is not [redacted]. I don’t know who this individual is but he is not our employee and never has been our employee.

The best new moving company I have ever seen. I am a business man and for business purpose I have used many experienced and old moving company. But I wasn't fully satisfied for that reason I had to change moving companies. I was finding for a company who can satisfy me. But failed many times. At last I got one. Yes I'm talking about Full House Movers! As a new company full house movers is providing me the best service among all new and all moving companies too! I am using it and will be using. I will highly recommend people to take the service of Full House Movers if they need a better service than others. Well done full house movers. Best of luck.

had a very positive experience with Triple 7 Movers. I worked with [redacted] via telephone to schedule a pickup time, and I also spoke with her a couple of times to revise our inventory after I had submitted it online. The driver, [redacted], handled both pickup and delivery, and he was a pleasure to work with. He and his partner were very efficient and thorough. They wrapped up some items that needed additional care, and [redacted] also made sure that I looked over and understood all the paperwork before signing anything. He stayed in touch with us by phone prior to both pickup and delivery, so that we knew exactly where he was and when he planned to be at the site so we could meet him. We moved from Las Vegas to Idaho, and I am happy to report that all items in the inventory have been accounted for (I am always worried about items getting lost or damaged during moving!) and everything is in great condition. All in all, a very good experience.

I recently used Full House Movers, a recommendation from a friend, and I have to give them 5 stars! Not only were their prices incredibly reasonable but their staff were also top-notch, incredibly good. They were friendly, helpful, and I trusted them with the safety of my family’s belongings. I am happy to say that nothing was damaged in the move and it was the most stress-free moving experience I have ever had! Having moved nearly six times in the past seven years, this was my first time hiring professionals to do the job and after using Full House Movers, I can say with 100% certainty that not only will I never move myself again, I will be using them every time, never another moving company! The quote was much lower than I expected and all in all, I am super satisfied with these movers! Great job guys!

Review: I was told by [redacted] that an 'estimator' would be sent to ensure all my belongings would fit and to get the right size truck, the 'estimator' [redacted] came, looked and said 'it all fits the 26' truck. Friday 7/17/17 they arrive and load the truck, but not all the load fits, they leave, onthe 18th of July they deliver to Rogue River Oregon and before unloading I have to pay in full or they'd leave and store the load at my expense (extortion?)Now there's 600 cubic feet they charge me $1,100.00 to bring and although I'm willing to pay half, they will not do it. They are not honoring their estimate, they did this on purpose to get more money out of you. This is unethical and illegal business practices. I have been wronged by these people and many others and they continue getting away with this. Now I have to incur extra cost to finish what they should have finishedDesired Settlement: I want my belongings moved, I'll pay $550.00 my share for their stupid mistake or I want $550.00 refunded to me from what they've already collected.

Response:

To whom it may concern,The client has indeed asked to provide with a binding quotevia visual estimate. [redacted], our manager personally arrived for a visual thatgenerated a 3,000 CF quote at 2.8 per Cube at over $8,000. [redacted] explained thereis no way to do this with one 24 foot truck as an avg. 24 foot truck can accommodate1800 Cubic feet. The client requested to build a flat rate for one designated24 foot truck at $4,500 and claimed he will downsize as much as needed. I haveattached the quote explaining he is paying for one dedicated truck at a lockedand discounted rate. When [redacted] (same guy that did the visual) loaded the truckhe ended up taking over 2150 Cubic feet and had explained yet again he willload the truck as much as possible (I am sure there are no arguments on that). Theclient has received all services paid for and more. We have explained to theclient that if he would like us to come load the remainder of the items it willbe additional. We have provided a quote and will not be able to change anythingelse as we believe we have met all expectations.
