The Gazette is absolutely the worst company that I have ever dealt with in my entire life! After canceling the newspaper back in July 2016, they began delivering it again "unsolicited" after two months of not delivering it, (so they obviously got the message) to our home. I called customer service and they told me they could not verify that I had actually cancelled the paper, and that I owed them $36.62 (I paid them because I didn't want my credit rating affected) for the papers that I did not receive, asked for, or even wanted! The two customer service supervisors that I spoke to were both very rude, including threatening to pursue "all avenues" against me in order to collect the money that they said I owed to them. After reading the other reviews here and [redacted] I can only conclude that their's is a culture of corruption, and this is a part of their nefarious business plan. I feel strongly that the State Attorney General should be made aware of how they conduct their business!
Took payment and would not deliver the paper because of the bill from the previous tenants. Also was given the run around from the call center and was given empty guaranties and they did not pass the information on to the proper authorities and would not give me my money back after they said they didn't know how long it would take to solve the problem that wasn't even mine.
This company will take your money and lie to you. I signed up under the assumption that I can cancel anytime with out a penalty and that after paying for 2 months service upfront I received a promotional item with 15 dollars. After having the service for 2 months I tried to cancel at that time the very rude "customer service agent" informed me I can wait 1 more month to cancel service and pay 13 dollars or cancel now and still pay 15 dollars and loose 3 weeks of paper delivery that I already paid for with no refund possible. Not 1 bit of this was explained when I signed up and the 15 dollar promotional item was given to me after I signed up under the terms of "free". Last time I checked you do t get charged for free items. The sales reps are crooked and under trained I am a sales person and even I know you MUST tell your customer any draw back to a "free " item.
