I pay for 2 trash cans. They only picked up 1. Charging me $25.00 to pick up the second trash saying I placed it to close to the mailbox
I had service with curbside now gfl for 7 years and I have placed my trash can there for all these years. I spoke with *** from curbside waste/ GFL and she informed me that I had to pay $25.00 additional for them to pick up the trash either later today or tomorrow and I informed her that if you guys had a problem with me putting the trash near the mailbox you should have let me know not just decide not to pick up the trash that's bad customer service

Desired Outcome

I do not want to pay $25.00 because they didn't inform me of the problem instead this is the second time they didn't pick up the trash

Unable to reach anyone on the phone to address concerns. Trash was not picked up on 7/27/20 billed paid on time on 7/14/20. Unable to to receive an explanation why. New company took over from Curbside which was just as bad.

Need trash picked and a phone call to address why trash was not picked up on 7/27/20.

Customer *** has died. Company won't respond to request to pick up trashcan or any message that has been left.
I am the daughter and executor for *** I have tried multiple times to reach the office by phone and they don't answer instead referring you to leave a chat message. I have left 3 messages since the beginning of June, none have been returned. I also left a message on the can itself. Service needs to be cancelled and can picked up. *** died in March and the house is vacant. Service was paid through July. I understand there is no refund on the service, but the can needs to be picked up immediatley.

Business needs to call me and pick up the trash can asap.

Trash can picked up today.

They have missed 3 garbage pickups with no refunds.
Since taking over our waste management, they have missed 3 garbage pickups without notifying us or refunding the money for those dates. In order to get ahold of someone, you have to wait on hold over 45 minutes and the person that answers can't do anything about your issue. They have to send an email to their operations department.

Desired Outcome

They need to refund us for the 3 missed services and make sure they're regularly picking up our garbage.

NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL. CAN'T REACH ANYONE EITHER ONLINE OR CALLING DAILY FOR HOURS. SENDING ME BILLS THAT ARE INCORRECT. PLEASE HELP US!

I pay my bill every month on time and sometimes early when my check is deposit into my account and can't understand why they try to charge mt twice in one month. They need someone to look into this situation before I leave this company.

This company billed me twice, I paid once - Not picking up my trash and not answering the telephone or on-line chat.
The original company Curbside was purchased by Waste Management - several weeks of no trash pick up. I finally got them on the phone last week and they explained that my automatic bill pay was not transferred to the new company. I paid on-line while the customer rep remained on the line. That was last Tuesday. She was going to send out a pick up the next day (Wednesday) never happened. Now, Monday pick up day trash not picked up. Today is Tuesday, no pick up and no customer service. I've been on wait for close to an hour - same with on-line chat. I think they simply are not answering calls.

Desired Outcome

I want this company to call me and explain why and when my trash will be picked up. I will move to another company if necessary. Meanwhile, I am paid up till October with no services for that payment.

I wish that I could give ZERO stars for this company! GFL took over my garbage service a few months ago and I've had nothing but trouble with them. They have billed me twice, I paid on time twice and they have sent a past due notice twice. This last time, I have gone round and round with them, furnishing proof that my bank sent the check. By their own admission, it took them 21 days to post my first check, so even though the problem is on their end they still are accusing me of non payment. I have spoken with someone in their main office who was just plain rude and snarky. I have tried to call their local office for three days, staying on hold for as long as an hour every time. There isn't even an option to leave a message. DO NOT contract with this business. If your local company is bought out, as mine was, find another service IMMEDIATELY!

Abysmal experience. Trying to recycle is SUCH a hassle with this company. This local branch is impossible to talk with a human. I have called 10+ in the last month trying to confirm a date for when my receptacle will be delivered and WHY after 2 pick up cycles, it is still sitting on my curb overflowing. If there is another choice for trash/recycling in your area, DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE.

Overpayment was made in error to company.
Requests overpayment of $274.00 be refunded back to previous method of payment or a check mailed to the address listed on my account. I have attempted to get this matter resolved several times without any resolution. Overpayment was made through electronic billing to account #XXXXXXXXX; June 3, 2020.

Desired Outcome

Overpayment be refunded ASAP.

If I could give this company no stars I would. I've been with waste industries for about 5 years, recently I just learned that they merged with GFL and the only reason I knew was because I went out to retrieve my trash container and found out that they took it with no warning. This was in the beginning of the Covid 19 situation. I didn't receive a bill from waste industries at all and I didn't receive a bill from GFL until after they took my container. By that time I was out of work due to the pandemic. The first time I called I was on hold for over an hour when I finally talked to someone she acted as if I was disturbing her I explained to her my situation and with no empathy at all she said I had to pay for the next 3 months as well as pay for the delivery of another container so of course I did she also stated that I should call between 5-6pm to get a quicker response which is ridiculous because the local office closes at 5pm. So here I am almost 4 weeks later after they told me I would get a new container first between 5-7 days then when I called back again 7-10 business days I still haven't received a container at this point I'll just have to research and see what other companies are in this area because I have bags of garbage piled up and smelling in my garage. This company needs to be dealt with accordingly because this could as well become an unhealthy situation for me and my family and even my neighbors because I'm not the only one having problems with this

GFL environtmental / waste industries did not collect my garbage on the designated day. called local and 1-800 numbers, online chat and email. My only response was from the 800 number. where I was told my garbage would be picked up that day. it wasn't. called and was told again, same day. it wasn't. I have been told on 3 phone calls it would be picked up.

Im giving bad reviews for customer service too. When you call the local number it just plays the on hold music, no one answers.

When you call make sure you have the time to wait for a minimum of 30 minutes. The reasons you call is because they forget to pick up trash or recycling. I am in a large neighborhood with others that use their service, how do they forget a property? I just find it all curious. I have now had to call 4 times in the past 6 months because of this error. Then they place you on the schedule and still sometimes to forget to come out waiting till the next scheduled pick up. The problem is, you pay for their services in advanced...refunds are a joke! The main corporation does not give guidelines on what is recyclable and claims it is up to each branch. Reached out to the branch and have yet to receive what they collect and what they do not collect (Been with them over a year and have not gotten anything. I have asked multiple times, this should be on their site at the least.)

GFL Environmental has failed as a garbage collection service. Where did this people come from? I have been a homeowner for 30 years and have never had problems with garbage pickup.
They replaced Curbside 1 month ago and has failed to pick up my garbage multiple time. I have tried to contact them multiple times; they will not take calls or respond to emergency messages. They will not receive calls from customers. Please help me resolve this important issue with this company!!!

Trash is not being picked up. Customer is paid up. All attempts to contact vendor has failed. Want trash pickup service made or refund payment.

On Thursday, May 14th my recycle container was not picked up and after calling on 4 occasions to complain, I've yet to get a response or pickup.
My account # is ***. On Thursday, May 14th my 65 gallon recycle cart was not picked up and I immediately called customer service to complained and they assured me that someone would come back by to pick it up no later than Tuesday, May 19th, which was 5 days later. Therefore, I left my recycle can in the front yard in for 5 extra days so it wouldn't be missed which was totally against my HOA covenants but I wanted my can emptied which was completely full. To my dismay, Tuesday, May 19th arrived and still no pickup and I called and asked to speak to a manager and they explained that no one was not available and he or she would call me back and still no response. I called back on Thursday, May 21st and asked to speak to a manager again and was told none was available and to expect a call, but no results. Called again on Friday, May 22nd. Going on two weeks later and after contacting them on 4 occasions, I've received no call back, no recycle pickup. I've been a customer for over 20 years and receiving treatment like this, I can't imagine what kind of customer service new customers are receiving?

Since, I can't get any kind of follow up from this company from my missed recycle pickup, I'd like my bill adjusted and my recycle picked up immediately. The level of professionalism is terrible. I've heard my neighbors for years complain about this company now I see why.

My waste container was broken during collection on 03/17/20. After several calls and letters to GFL, I have received no response/solution to problem.
I have been a customer of GFL since October, 2008. The collection container provided by GFL was broken during collection on 03/17/20. I was given instructions on that date for receiving a replacement container on 03/24 or 03/31. After a follow-up call on 04/01, I was given a new replacement date of 04/07, but no replacement was provided. GFL has not responded to subsequent calls on 04/07 and 04/09 requesting a callback from management to resolve this problem. I filed letters of complaint on GFL's website on 04/09 and 04/14. GFL has acknowledged receipt of both letters, but there has been no response. I informed GFL in the 04/14 letter of complaint that I would file a complaint with the Revdex.com if no response was provided by close of business on 04/15/20.

Desired Outcome

Correction of the problem and adjustment of my quarterly bill for the period covered by this complaint.

Recycle has not been picked up in over a month, Sorry, Sorry Sorry is all I have been given with NO results!! The $12 credit is a slap in the face!!
The location at 2699 Cochran Industrial Boulevard
Douglasville, GA 30134 has been emailed many times over the past weeks with no results! I called on Feb 27th to report we had not had a recycle pick up since Jan. 21st. I was reassured it would be picked up on Mar. 3rd, it was not, I was told to leave it out for the 4th. It was Not Picked up, I was told to leave it out for the 5th. It Was Not Picked Up, then the 6th, not picked up!! Each of these times I was told "emails" were being sent to escalate, NOTHING happened!! There is a problem in Douglasville that no one seem to care about, Hopefully Corporate cares about the terrible Service coming from that location. Hearing "I'm sorry" at this point just makes me more angry, I NEED THE SERVICE!!!! And giving just a $12 credit is a slap in the face, how many phone calls are needed from a customer to get this fixed?? Well I think I'm at about 6!! That is really a waste of time because each of these phone calls I have waited 25 to 30 minutes for my call to be answered!!

Compensation and I am paying for a service that I should be getting!!! Pick up all this trash ASAP

GFL Environmental acquired our previous trash service company Waste Industries. They then increased the rates without any contract or any prior notice. They have violated current contract that is in place which states the monthly charge as $119.76 for 60 months starting 4/26/2019.

The contract clearly states in:
Terms and Conditions 1B. ...fees and charges paid by you may only be made through a written agreement.....'binding obligation'

In Terms and Conditions II2) Adjustments can be increased..fuel etc usually charged at $5.99 on my previous bills.'Subject to your approval, fees may be adjusted for other reasons.'

They have increased the monthly charge to $134.76 thereby breaching the contract. And increased the Adjustments to $6.74 for fuel etc So my bill went from the agreed upon $125.75 to $141.50 without my approval or knowledge. I have called them multiple times, but they refuse to honor the contract.

Desired Outcome

Billing Adjustment Honor the contract in place. They cannot increase the monthly charge, only reasonable adjustments can be increased/decreased.
