We were able to clarify that the quote given was $160+tax for everythingAlthough this is not accurate per our standard pricing and was given by mistake, we will stand behind what was promised and have agreed to honor that quote to ensure the customer's satisfactionA refund has been requested for the difference of $and will be issued to the customer shortly

To this date our client service department has not been contacted by this customerGarage Door Service uses all upgraded parts and stands behind them with a lifetime warranty, you can certainly find lesser quality parts for a cheaper price and receive "low ball" quotes from our competition if they know what has already been paid for a repair Based on our standard part and service prices there was no overcharge for the work performedour technicians are fully explain all of the prices and repairs to be completed up front and do not start any repairs until this is agreed uponIf the client does not agree with the price quoted they have every option to decline to have the repairs doneIn this case it appears everything was reviewed and agreed to, and the client signed the invoice (attached) in approval of the price and work that was performedpayment was made by check further displaying agreement with the work performed and charges at the time

We were able to reach out to the customer and come to an agreement on pricing in resolution of the complaint issues

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Regards, [redacted] The problem with this company is they did work on the motor, and I was personally there watching them grease the the gearsThe belt was adjusted and the two dials on the side of the motor were also adjustedAt the end of the day it was adjusted wrong which caused a perfecly good motor to breakThe tech working on the motor said the motor was in good shape and would more than likely last more yearsIt would of, if it wasn't adjusted wrong causing the gear to breakThe reason the motor work is not on the receipt is that the tech told me it would be more if he told his boss he worked on my motor, and said he would make it a better deal if I bought rollers from himThis company does not want to guarantee the work they do

There was an obvious miscommunication between our office representative and technicianClient satisfaction is our number one priority, and I would like to extend an apology for this experience and any inconvenience it has causedWe did not actually perform any work for this consumer or collect any payment, so there is nothing further that we can do to resolve

We attempted to reach out to the customer in order to address his concerns and the office at the number included is closedWe offer a standard day labor warranty and lifetime warranty on partsWe accommodated the customer by waiving the standard service call fee outside of the standard day warranty to have a technician out on 6/17/On this visit our technician determined that additional parts and repairs were required and the customer declined to pay for any additional workWe stand behind our products and installations and if there is ever an improper install issue we can make an exception to the warranty policy to ensure our customer's are taken care ofIn this case the customer did not contact our client service department or management to give us an opportunity to resolve the issue, instead choosing to go with another companyWe still wish to resolve the customer's concerns and ensure their satisfaction and request that they contact us at 877-266-and also email the invoice from the other company and documentation of the issues they address to [email protected] we hear from the customer or receive the emailed documentation we will contact them to move forward with resolving the complaint

The stipulation on deposits on our contract is for door installations or deposits made before the work is completed, it does not apply to this repairAll payment is due upon completion of a repair, but in special circumstances to aid our customers we will agree to a "split payment" planThe $is the first installment of the split payment plan agreed upon by the consumerOur technicians fully review all repairs and pricing and enter into a verbal contract with the customer before any work is completedAt the customers request we can also provide written documentation, but being a paperless company all official paperwork is processed electronicallyWe strive to provide the highest quality of products and service in the industry, and use all upgraded parts that we stand behind with a lifetime warranty On this occasion the repairs needed and price was fully reviewed and the client authorized the repair to be completed, which they verified when speaking to one of our representatives on 1/19/I have reviewed the invoice, and all of our standard prices for parts and services were charge, with several coupon discounts appliedIf the customer felt they could find a better price from a different company, they have every option to decline the repairWith all of this being stated, we were able to reach out to the customer, and agreed to a $reduction on their bill for their satisfaction and to resolve the issues stated in this complaintThis reduction will be applied to the final payment due

The original technician showed up on 5/16/and after speaking with the client evaluated that the door had been out of use for a monthThe technician noticed that the door had improper springs on and cables were completely offThe technician fixed the door by replacing proper springs and tension and balancing the door after replacing and rewinding the cablesThe technician also states that the motor was a store bought Genie brand approximately years old and the limit switch wires were hanging out of itAfter repairing the door and running the door up and down manually and by way of the motor...it seemed that everything was working fineThe client claims that after the technician left the motor didn't work and she had to use the door manually until we could get another repair technician outOn 5/another technician different from installer evaluated the motor and also noticed the poor condition of the motor, however he attempted to make adjustments and stated that the client needed a new motor that the motor was working intermittentlyAfter evaluating comments from the technicians it is determined that the client needs a new motor..we believe that the motor in addition to being a older model was damaged when the door was having issues with the improper springsImproper springs can cause multiple issues to a door and the equipment attached to itI advised the client that we could help out and do the motor at cost because the motor was not having issues on site at the time of the repair and it was thought there would be some life left in itUnfortunately the client does not see it this way and we are unable to resolve by offering a free motor or full refundThe door works great, clients words, its just the motor.Respectfully,

When the installation was originally completed on 2/3/the door was working correctlyOur technicians ensure that every install is completed correctly and the customer signed off on the invoice in satisfaction with the work as well We have followed up with our technicians on the issueOn the subsequent warranty visit on 2/9/15, our technician diagnosed that one of the safety eye brackets had been pushed out of placeTherefore, a service call and labor charge would apply for the cost of the trip and repair because the issue was not due to a product defect or fault in installationOur technician quoted the standard price, and the customer rudely said she would not pay and closed the doorOur technician immediately called in to speak to a manager on the situation, and had we been given the opportunity the issue would have been addressed at no charge for the client's satisfactionRegardless the client was not charged anything for the visit and we did not complete any work because we were not allowed to

The different coupons and discounts that we have available online must be presented to our phone representatives or to the technician on site in order to be honoredIn this case the coupon was not presented and when the appointment was set the customer agreed on an $safety inspection and diagnostic charge for our technician's visitDespite this we were able to reach out to the customer and agreed to honor the free estimate couponAny and all charges due for the visit have been waived and the customer will not receive any further collections notices or letters that are not already in the mailThis matter was not turned over to an outside collections agency so the customer's credit has not been effected

The customer agreed to the repairs and price of $prior to any work being completedWe do have standard retail pricing for all parts and services, and if the customer felt our price was high they had every opportunity to decline any service and seek other quotesWe even made a special accommodation in this case and allowed the customer to make payments on the total balance for the repairsThe work was completed as promised and we have not been notified of any issue with the installation to this dateWe stand behind our repairs and if there's any issue that is directly caused by improper installation, even outside of the day service warranty, we will gladly take care of the problem at no chargeDue to the customer's concerns, we can offer an upgraded day service warranty, should any issues arise within that period we will have a technician out at no charge without any question

I explained to the client that the first service was 5/20/and there has not been an issue with the unit or anything we didHowever when our technician arrived on site he noticed that the belt on the motor was twistedThis happens sometimes and needs to be adjustedAlso our technician noticed that the safety wires needed some electrical tape on them and we accommodated at no charge., The client's difficulty comes in with the twisted belt which we charged labor for not the wiresThe fees come out to a reduced service fee and minimum labor feeWe will not refund because everything was expressed to the client before we arrivedAlthough, we want to make sure our client is satisfied there hasn't been any issue with the install of this product.Thank you
