Rude guides, outright cheating, long delaysStay Away
We bought the City Super tour that includes downtown ferry rideWe reached the ferry location on timeThe ferry was an hour lateThen the guide who was too rude/busy/uninterested asked us to give them 19$ for the ferry ride each personI told him we bought the tour option that includes the ferry but he wouldn't have none of that and fleeced us for 38$ (two persons)Finally the ferry came an hour and a half laterOn their bus tours, the guide is the bus conductor as well so she regularly has to stop guiding the tour and getting people in/out of the busThe guiding was a total wasteShe kept telling us about Lady Gaga and famous people when all a tourist would want to know is about the city, its building, history etcShe was rude as well to many passengers often shouting and giving dirty looksThe glass on their bus was dirty and scratched making good photo-taking impossibleAll in all, avoid at all costsDon't get fleecedRun like hellEmails to them and they will act in an extremely obtuse way as if the fleeced customer is the one at fault

We do not feel the complaint has been resolved as the response by the business did not reflect our experienceWe purchased our tickets on December *** and boarded the bus for the downtown tour with no functioning audio.All the customers were stating the headphones were broken We then exited the bus near the empire state building and waited over 30minutes to catch an alternate bus to then find out the audio on this bus was also broken There was no live tour operator until we reembarked the bus at the end of the day She had to shout and only the people sitting near her could hearOn December ** we had to wait downtown outside the bus for over hour as the *** had locked the bus and the driver could not open the door When we purchased the tickets we were told the buses come every 15-20minutesSunday the *** when we disembarked at the Metropolitan Museum we were told the bus would not return for hoursAlso the audio again was not working and we had a make shift tour guide that was only talking about how not to get ripped off in NY and that we didn't need to know anything about the architecture or history of the buildingsSurprisingly we have not been able to get refunded for this negative and poor experience that did not meet the advertised service We were told initially that the person on the street who sold us the ticket could make the refund and when we approached her she told us that no, we would have to write to the company for a refund We wrote and were denied, the company said no refund on issued tickets Today,February *** the company told Visa that if we would have written for a refund within days it would have been approved In there response today they said they cannot issue a refund if I am disputing the charge with Visa and on then they offer me a 50% refund This company needs to accept the disputed charge with our Visa and close the case in our favor and that would process the refund What a disappointment and waste of time when spending only days in the city If we just wanted transportation we would have taken the subway This company modified services because they were broken and did not provided a quality guided tour as purchasedAs a tourist we have visited many cities and always choose the guided tour option for the city's history This is first time we have not received the informative history while traveling

Since it is highly doubtful that I will be back in the NYC area any time soon, your offer of complimentary tickets will not suffice my discontent. If I were to return to NYC at any time, I would not use your company's service based on the experience I had. I understand the traffic difficulties. What I do not understand is the lack of concern when I placed not one, but three calls to your office. I do not understand that your employees on the street were not knowledgeable about where your company's bus stops were, that your employees would laugh in my face when they realized I was upset. Of course, they knew we had been had by your companyWhile trying to locate your company's busstops and then waiting for your bus, we encountered another bus tour company. There were several buses on different streets and we watched approximately of their buses drop off and pick up passengersAs I mentioned in my initial complaint, I think we were preyed upon by your employees. I feel that because of the poor management of your company, my time in NYC was compromised. I wish your company could be reviewed to see if you are operating within codes. As I mentioned, your employees were not courteous. We had to ask for our tickets for our senior citizens. If your employee had not been asked for these tickets, we would have been out of luck with those two passengers. Your recording was outdated. Your windows were screened providing reduced visibility
My only recourse is to continue to tell friends and family to avoid your services if they visit New York City. I understand your "strict" no refund policy because if every patron demanded satisfaction from your company, you would be out of business. The only way to rectify my complaint is by a refund
