Our site and technology focuses on matching and connecting consumers with a small, optimized set of insurance carriers and agents out of hundreds in any given area where they are most likely to find savings.  While some of those providers do enable us to present estimated rates on our website or integrate with us to provide them only one click or call away, the experience depends on where you are in the country and the accuracy of the information you provide on our site.  In much of the US today, many of the best options available still require additional communication online and/or via telephone with the insurance provider themselves to procure an accurate quote, a process we are making ever easier by reducing duplicate form filling where possible and reducing the overall effort required to procure multiple, competitive quotes from an optimized set of providers in your area.  We also strive to explain our process throughout our website via our FAQ page, an explanatory consent disclosure on our form submission page and various sections of our Privacy Policy as well.  We appreciate your feedback and will use it to enhance the clarity of our service as we continuously work to improve our site.  That said, your information will be removed from our systems except as needed to include you in our global unsubscribe and do not call lists. Any and all communications regarding your inquiry will end shortly.   Best Regards, The EverQuote Team

Dear Ms. [redacted], Thank you again for sharing your experience.  While we are working hard to make shopping for insurance better, we realize we have more work to do, and we are sorry our service did not meet your expectations.  We appreciate your feedback and will use it to further improve the process for our users.  In the meantime, please note you have been added to our do not contact list, and we do not collect social security numbers of any of our users and do not maintain that on our systems. Kind regards,The EverQuote Team

Dear Ms. [redacted],Thank you for informing us of your experience, and we are sorry that it did not meet your expectations. We do not “pull credit” of any kind for any of our users. We did reach out to the agent that you were referred to and they informed us that, at your request, they did a...

“soft pull”. That said, we are still concerned about your statement that their actions were contrary to your instructions. While that agency is not part of EverQuote as a company, we do allow them to participate in our marketplace and will continue to monitor for other complaints, so thank you again for letting us know. In the meantime, more information on soft credit pulls can be found here: [redacted]

Dear Mr. [redacted],Our website and services have been evolving continually since our inception in 2011 and will continue to do so, certainly taking into account feedback like yours and as the industry itself progresses with technology improvements that enable us to do so.  We serve millions of consumers per month with our service, continually survey for satisfaction and results and maintain an average reported savings for consumers surveyed of greater than $500/year.  While we take any and all feedback very seriously, the 80 complaints you reference are not representative of our overall performance at scale and our standard response is simply because the concerns encountered by this small group of consumers who voice them are both understood and common.  We maintain Revdex.com as an open channel to receive this feedback and will continue to strive to eliminate such experiences all together in the coming months and years as our service continues to improve.  Again we are sorry it was not to your satisfaction.Best Regards,The EverQuote Team

Dear Mr. [redacted],We are very sorry to hear about the number of phone calls you received.  We take this very seriously, and it is certainly not something we would want any of our users to experience.  We understand that your situation was made even worse since someone submitted their...

information with your number by mistake.  In response to your suggestion, we do work with outside service providers to verify data, however it looks like it did not succeed in this instance.  We will continue to review this and to find ways to make this process better in the future.  Please note that we removed your number from our database and notified our downstream partners to do so as well.  If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.Regards,EverQuote Compliance Team

Dear Mr. [redacted],Thank you for your inquiry and we apologize that your experience did not meet your expectations.  We are going to take your feedback into consideration with respect to construction of our future email marketing communications.  To address your inquiry more specifically,...

EverQuote is a free service that helps consumers compare quotes on auto insurance. We do not provide insurance and have no control over the rates charged or changes to those rates. As you can imagine, insurance prices change constantly and you did the right thing by checking to see if the price you saw in the email was available for you.  Notably, the prices shown in the email to you were for illustrative purposes only and, upon reflection, that fact could have been more clearly communicated.  We apologize for any confusion and have taken steps to make sure it does not happen again.  Thank you for your understanding. The EverQuote Team
