site and technology focuses on matching and connecting consumers with a small, optimized set of insurance carriers and agents out of hundreds in any given area where they are most likely to find savings.  While some of those providers do enable us to present estimated rates on our website or integrate with us to provide them only one click or call away, the experience depends on where you are in the country and the accuracy of the information you provide on our site.  In much of the US today, many of the best options available still require additional communication online and/or via telephone with the insurance provider themselves to procure an accurate quote, a process we are making ever easier by reducing duplicate form filling where possible and reducing the overall effort required to procure multiple, competitive quotes from an optimized set of providers in your area.  We also strive to explain our process throughout our website via our FAQ page, an explanatory consent disclosure on our form submission page and various sections of our Privacy Policy as well.  We appreciate your feedback and will use it to enhance the clarity of our service as we continuously work to improve our site.  That said, your information will be removed from our systems except as needed to include you in our global unsubscribe and do not call lists. As seen by a number of similar complaints, the business has encountered this complaint from many users before, yet continued to deceive new users and then justify their actions with fine print.I appreciate the placement of my information on the do not contact list, however there are several problems that remain.First, the website has not been updated in any way.  It still compares itself to sites that provide immediate price comparison shopping online,while returning exactly zero quotes on the website.Second, the website does not prominently or sufficiently disclose the nature of the business, that the personal information entered by the user is immediately sold as a lead to insurance vendors to immediately contact the user.Third, I had no way to add my information to the do not contact list except to file a Revdex.com complaint.  I reached out to the company three times through their contact form and received no response.

Dear Sir or Madam, While I do appreciate your attempt-I suspect you know, you have no leg to stand on and have presented half a solution. Yes, I accept your offer to remove all of my information from your data banks, however, the argument you attempt to use as an excuse for your failure to meet my expectation for truth in advertising falls remarkably short. I am located just a short number of miles from Cambridge in Rhode Island. You drastically under estimate my intelligence by trying to blame the poor development of your business on which part of the country I am located...while in the same part of the country in which your program was designed. You would have to put a clear disclaimer on your site declaring that you knowingly solicit private information and can not or do not begin to imply that each separate vendor will not ask the very same questions when seeking to offer a quote. You do not save the consumer time. It's like adding a middle man into the process with my valuable personal information that has nothing to offer. Truly, I feel your business is a fraud and I would like a letter of apology so if my identity is stolen or my social security number is compromised, I will have evidence to offer the three major credit companies to show that it needs to be removed from my credit history.

  I submitted a complaint on 4/12/17 asking to have my name removed from Everquote's databases and all of their affiliates and companies they sold my information to. I still am receiving spam from life insurance, dating services a dnothers and I want them stopped. While the volume has diminished I am tired of all the garbage I continue to receive .  Stop ALL unwanted emails from Everquote, their affiliates and companies they have sold my info to.
