Review: I went to what I thought was the US Gov official website to file for an EIN and instead of getting my FREE instant EIN their website charges for "processing". THIS IS A SCAM! Nowhere on their website does it state that THEY ARE NOT THE OFFICIAL US GOVERNEMENT WEBSITE. I didn't even realize that it wasn't the official site until I contacted my attorney and she said that the official site doesn't charge a fee! Even their name sounds official! These scam artists charge $129.00 to "process" and EIN and $196.00 for "instant EIN" WHEN THE IRS WEBSITE DOES INSTANTLY FOR FREE!!! I called them today and OF COURSE nobody live comes on the phone but you leave a message...OF COURSE. I filed for my REAL EIN with the REAL Government website today and got my FREE instant EIN.Desired Settlement: My American Express Card refund. AND GET THESE SCAM ARTISTS OFF OF THE INTERNET!!!

Review: The website tax-id.gov.us looked like a U.S. government website. I applied for an EIN and was charged $129 on 12/30. Upon reviewing receipt, I realized GOVSERVICES was not related to IRS and immediately sent email (12/30) requesting to cancel order. It just so happened I checked the IRS website to apply for EIN online and it was down for maintenance between 12/27-1/02 so GOVSERVICES should not have been able to process anything. Instead of responding to my request to cancel the order, I was sent an email on 1/02 that the order was processed and my credit card was charged that day. I have sent a follow-up email to company for a refund.Desired Settlement: Refund to credit card $129

Review: This website is an impersonation of a govenment site with only very small light grey discalimers that it is essentially charging you a substantial amount of money for what is a free government service. This website does not actually file an applications for you only simply applies information you have already provided into open fields in a publicly available government document. They are impersonating a government agency and providing no real service. The idea that typing an application rather than filling it out by hand is somehow a service is absurd. There is no indication at the beginning page when filing for a Social security number that you are not actually filing anything and that they are not even submitting your application to the Social security administration but simply providing you with a form that is already provided to them and anyone else by the government and is free of charge for anyone who wishes to use it. A terrible abuse of trust and by not making it clear in BOLD and OBVIOUS text that they are not a government agency they are duping people into thinking they are actually submitting an application to the Social Security Administration. This fraud of a busniess charges me $39 dollars for an application that is provided by the government for free and went so far as the name themselves govservices, when in fact they are not a government website.Desired Settlement: The only Outcome I truly desire is that the government catches on to what this despicable site is doing and shuts them down for impersonating a government agency.

Review: I thought I misplaced my daughter's social security card and came across this company online so I placed an order to have a duplicate card sent to me. This was on 11/25/13. The very next day, 11/26/13, I found the social security card and contacted the company about a refund since their policy online states you can receive one within seven days of purchasing. Now I initially contacted the company via email from their "contact us" link on the page. I guess this email account isn't monitored at all because I never received an email or a phone call. About three days later, I called and spoke with a representative who stated she was "issuing me a refund immediately" and that I should see it on my credit card in two days. Well this has been about three or more days ago. I don't have time to play games with some rip off company about money they owe me so I decided to file this complaint. Had I checked this site first, then I never would have placed the order seeing as how obviously the company isn't concerned about it's integrity. Review: I needed a replacement ssn card.I used google and the first listing is govservices. first they ask to get a replacement card it will cost you $39.you thnk well this is the government I pay and they send me a card.they don't tell you that you have to fill out a form and either mail it to your local ssn office or go in person.they ask many personal questions which I feel are obtained under false pretense.they also ask for your ssn number.they are not upfront and tell you pay us money and fill out a form and obtain the card your self. they falsely state pay for card. Search apply for EIN
it takes ten minutes or less and you have your EIN number right then....no wait..no fee...
This company should truly think about their advertisement practices and state....there web sight is helpful ONLY to complicated EIN requests.

Review: In attempting to obtain an Employer Identification Number online from the IRS, I accessed a site that appeared to be the IRS. Only after I had entered my family member's name and social security number did I realize that I was on a lookalike website intended to mislead unsuspecting internet users. Even although I did not complete the application I am very concerned that the information I entered has been captured, and will be sold or misused by unscrupulous people.Desired Settlement: I want to officially register my dissatisfaction with the underhand practice of Govservices Corp. Review: I was online the morning of 10/7/13 to try to change my name for social secruity online. I found this site and thought I was getting help since the government was shut down. They didnt listen to a word I was saying other than repeating that the government was shut down, till I showed them the printouts from this website. They told me that I had been a victim of identity theft,that they do not accept the product of this site and handed me a pamphlet to get a hold of a social security office. I called the social security office, my bank, the 3 credit reporting sites, the police department and the attorney generals office. I have since been told that this is a legal way that someonene can steal my identity and my money! It is rediculous. Review: The site, unless you read all the fine print, which admittedly I did not do, leads one to believe that if you want a new Social Security card, the fee is $39.00. Also, there is the inference, that once you pay this fee, they will save you time and thus you are done after paying the $39.00 and you will get your new SS card. Only when you finish do you find out is that all they do is send you a government PDF form filled out with basic information that the form enables right from the government.
I purchased thinking this was a government fee and that I had no choice but to pay it. Review: This company is completely misleading in their services. Just like the other complaint their website made it seem like they are a government entity. Any disclaimers which I realized after the fact was either hard to distinguish or in a light grey shade it got lost. They should put in bold read letter, this is NOT affiliated with the Social Security Administration. They play on people who are in need of having something be done quickly. Review: On or about the evening November 26th, 2013, I contacted this firm to provide the service of replacing my son's lost Social Security card. I filled out all the necessary information on their online form and made a credit card payment of $49.00 for their premium expedited service. About two hours later that same evening, I decided that I would rather just go down to the Social Security office in person with all of my son's information and get the card myself, so I wrote to this firm, via their "Contact us" link on their website and informed them that I decided to cancel my order and to please not bill my card. On their web page, it stated that a response to any emailed messages would take about two days. Also... when I checked my bank account, I saw that the charge to my credit card for the $49.00 had gone through the very next day. To date, the money has still not been refunded, even though I have written to this firm 3 times with never a response. Also... now, when I try to get back onto their web site to get my confirmation number, I am blocked with "user name and password" request that I had never needed before I asked for the refund.Desired Settlement: All I am asking is that the original $49.00 billed to my credit card be refunded. I canceled the order within 2 hours of placing it and no services were ever rendered.
