Review: I used their website for what is labeled as "expedited service" to replace a lost social security card. The charge for this was $49. Upon charging my card, the only service provided was a form that is the same form that you obtain for free from the social security government office. In other words, this company doesn't do anything.
The social security office informed me that there is NO SUCH THING AS EXPEDITED SERVICE so Govservices Corp. is at very least misinforming customers and at most conducting fraud on a federal level.
The social security agency recommended I try to arbitrate this charge with Revdex.com. I have also contacted my bank.
I tried contacting this business via phone and there is always a voice mail. I believe that they don't have an easy way to contact them because they are engaged in questionable if not illegal business practices.Desired Settlement: I feel a refund of my $49 is in order considering that Govservices Corp did absolutely no "expediting" and merely provided me a form that is freely available anyway.

Review: Client I'd [redacted], they charged $39 for a replacement social security card. This is a free service. You find out after you fill out the information that there is a cost. The site looks like social security card site as well. This is unacceptable as they should not be charging at all and making folks think they provide government assistance. Review: This service represents itself as an IRS government agency. Thoroughly disingenuous. The government form I was applying for doesn't even have the right state code for FL. I have written to the company to reverse the charge of $129 which was not represented up front. I really thought it was through IRS. Each link for an EIN number led me to this site.
Additional info: A Third Party Designee was assigned without authorization or request. I've phoned about that too and haven't gotten a response.
Just all around, a crappy company and I'm very resentful that they put themselves out there like they're part of the IRS. The IRS has enough problems without some mickey mouse company getting in the way.
How do they manage that one? I've also disputed the charge with American Expresss and hope to hear from them soon.Desired Settlement: I have CANCELLED the applicaton and requested that it be removed from their records. I want the charge reversed and have written them explaining that. Now the company has been notified, my AMEX has been notified and the Revdex.com. Hopefully, you can help resolve this.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Review: The GovServices webiste lead me to believe that I could submit my request for a name change on my social security card online. There was no information prior to agreeing to payment that I would still have to submit documents to the SSA office. Due to the governement shut down I was told by our local SSA office that they did not have the staff to process name changes in person. I went to this site because I believed from their sites verbage that I could still process the request online even if the office was not able to assist me. The site prepared [redacted] 5 document based on the information I provided but informed me that I had to mail two forms of identity to the SSA office and wait for the SSA office to process my request. This was not disclosed prior to payment. Since I only have a driver's license I am not able to mail this item to the SSA office and will be required to go in person. I also still have no guarentee as to when the office will be able to respond to my request. The website indicated that they could process the request immediately for $49 which lead me to believe that I would have my application approved today. Since I was lead to believe they were associated with SSA, I felt they could still process request and was willing to pay the fee if I could have the name change done now instead of having to wait. I purchased the $49 package because I was under the impression that I would be able to get my request processed. I tried to contact the company using their contact us link through several different browser yet I am unable to submit any message to the company through the link they provide. I am unable to locate a phone number on their site to call or any alternative way to contact them. I am also I unable to determine if and how they plan to use my personal information. I feel like this company is a scam and is collecting information and payment from vulnerable individuals.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the $49 that I spent on the site and reassurance that my personal information will not be used by the company. I'd also like to see the site shut down so that no one else has to have this happen to them.

Review: They lead you to beleive they are with the irs. Any info is in fine print on the application after you agree to pay for what you think is the irs giving you a ein number. By then it is too late you paid and they process what unknown to some of us should be a free service through the irs.Desired Settlement: They want to refund only 50$ not the full amount
Review: This website makes it look like you can get your Social Security Card via mail when all it does is fill in the info (which can be done freely on the Social Security website)after you submit your payment it shows a link that says you can do this all for free on the social security website. The instructions also come up and say take this sheet we just filled in for you (after you gave them all the information and which again can easily be done on the Social Security website) to your nearest social security office or mail it with your drivers license to the SS office. It's a hoax where they charge you 39 dollars just to fill in info that can be done freely elsewhere. I'm so peeved; I'm usually extra careful of websites, but this one slipped past meDesired Settlement: I would like my credit card credited for the 39 dollars this scam company charged me.

Upon charging my card, the only service provided was a form that is the same form that you obtain for free from the social security government office. In other words, this company doesn't do anything. The social security office informed me that there is NO SUCH THING AS EXPEDITED SERVICE so Govservices Corp. is at very least misinforming customers and at most conducting fraud on a federal level. The social security agency recommended I try to arbitrate this charge with Revdex.com. I have also contacted my bank. I tried contacting this business via phone but there is no phone #. I tried contacting the business via there website, but they will not let me log a compliant. I attempted to send the following:
Please provide a refund for your fraudulent website. As per the instructions provided, I took the form you emailed me to my local Social Security office along with a printed receipt from your website regarding expedited serivce. They said they do NOT offer expedited services and that they have no affiliation with you. I processed my request thru them. Therefore, please issue a full refund ($49.00) to my credit card and purge all information I provided from your systems. If this is not done immediately, I will be taking legal actions.
