We have been members for about a year. The customer service is bad, we can never reach anyone over the phone. However, if we miss a payment, someone sure knows how to use a phone then. Also, we have little to no luck securing locations to go on vacation. This is not what we thought it would be and is a complete sham and waste of money. I wish we could easily get out of this. I feel we were robbed.

It is unfortunate we have been unable to satisfy [redacted] I believe we have gone out of our way to try and satisfy her requests. She has requested two 2 bedroom villas in a very high demand resort in a very high demand location and unfortunately at this time we have not been able to fulfill her...

request. We offered alternate accommodations for the dates she requested which were not suitable to her.  We will continue to work with [redacted] to resolve the issue to her satisfaction as best we can.

I am and have been in direct communication with Mr. [redacted] working on a resolution, it appears the initial call was made by one of our vendors on behalf of another company as Great Destinations does not do business in Texas. I also have arranged for the vendor to directly communicate with Mr. [redacted]...

[redacted] attended a timeshare sales presentation located in [redacted]. After deciding to purchase our product we explained and provided copies
of the following...

documentation:
 ·        
Purchase proposal stating purchase price and
loan amount (initialed by client)·        
Purchase and sale agreement stating purchase
price and down payment (signed by client)·        
Buyers estimate of funds due in escrow stating
purchase price and loan amount (signed by client)·        
Secured promissory note stating principal sum,
interest rate, number of installments, date monthly payment commence and last
payment date, auto charge plan (all signed by client)·        
Federal Truth in Lending stating amount
financed, number of payments, payment amount, when payments are due (all signed
by client)·        
Good faith estimate stating loan amount, loan
term, monthly payment amount, automatic credit card withdrawal authorization
agreement (all signed by client)·        
Preliminary change of ownership report stating
purchase price, down payment, financed amount, interest rate, term of loan,
monthly payment amount (all signed by client) 
With over half a dozen signed documents all disclosing
purchase price, loan amount, interest rate, monthly payment amount and payment
due dates we feel this complaint is unfair and should be dismissed. Since the
purchase we have paid closing cost, 1st year maintenance fees and
membership fees which all in total exceeds what has been paid into this
ownership currently.  Thank you.

I have considered the request of voiding the contract and have determined it is not warranted. We have made a sincere effort to help Mr [redacted] with his concern and have re-reviewed the file and again have determined that he and [redacted] were fully aware of the costs associated with their ownership. We go into great detail on covering all purchase details and costs with all new owners as we did with Mr. [redacted] and [redacted]. If Mr. [redacted] is open to further discussion we would be glad to help any way we can other than voiding the contract.

We have been working with Ms. [redacted] since late last year and did have in fact have someone to purchase her interval. That person had some personal issues which required him to not go through with the purchase....It is an unfair characterization Ms. [redacted] has communicated about GD, the...

product we sell and our Sales Manager. He was trying to assist Ms. [redacted] and still is. We are still working on a resolution for her.  We are not charging her anything for this assistance since this is not what we normally do but our Sales Manager felt he could help her, which he is still attempting to do. We will continue to work with Ms. [redacted] as we said we would.

After the complaint from Mr. [redacted] we have decided to cancel our marketing agreement with the call center responsible for the calls and the call center has also terminated the agent that specifically place the call/calls to Mr. [redacted]. I have also placed Mr. [redacted] phone number on our company do not call list and to my knowledge has not received any additional calls. Thank you,[redacted]

We have tried to work with him a number of times but he is being unreasonable. His claims are false evidenced by our thorough documentation on each sale.  He purchased on June 7, 2014 attended our owner education class on August 9, 2014. He deposited his week August 27, 2014 and was happy at that time. By depositing his week he actually activated his ownership and as I said he was happy at that time. We didn’t hear from Mr. [redacted] again until February 29, 2016. He will not talk to us and will only communicate through email, which makes it difficult to get anywhere. We will try again but to date he has been unwilling to engage in any sort of a constructive dialog.  May 19, 2016Mr. [redacted]We have responded to your request. WE have been attempting to respond and resolve Ms. [redacted]'s issues but have been unable to contact her. We tried calling the number on the complaint on 12/15 and 12/16 and we receive the same message, that the person you are calling is not available to talk the call and does not give us the option...

of leaving a message. WE have since sent her another email to call us so we can discuss her situation.

I have contacted [redacted] and we are working diligently on an
acceptable resolution.

Unfortunately although we have attempted on a number of occasions to address Mr. [redacted]s concerns, we have been unable to resolve his issues and since he refuses speak to us there is nothing else we can do.

Mr. [redacted], I have reviewed your entire file including the documentation you and your wife signed at the sales office in November 2013. We disclosed every cost and expense of ownership, which you and your wife acknowledged. We take your allegations very seriously but have not found any...

justification nor validation of your complaint. In fact our records indicate you have made 19 payments and are now currently delinquent 378 days on your loan and 2 years delinquent on you HOA fees. On 12/15/15 our Account Services rep talked to you she informed you that non-payment would eventually result in a default and delinquency and at that time offered suggestion on how to stay current. Your response was I would rather have my credit be effected than make a payment. No where in our records does the fact of misrepresentation or misinformation ever come up.  I am sorry but there is nothing we can do at this point.

As a result of the many misrepresentations made during the presentation we are requesting a cancellation of our timeshare agreement and a refund of all monies paid. Considering the gravity of the false representations and the way we are affected by the invalid information, our request is more than fair. We trust Great Destinations can appreciate our concerns and be willing to finally resolve this matter.

Very attentive and positive demontion to want to solve the issue but nothing ever really os ppresented. Just the promise of a solution in a few days.

It should also be noted at no time during any of these conversations was cancellation of her ownership ever brought up.July 11 Ms [redacted] purchased...

an ownership at our Woodland Hills officeJuly 21 Contacted Ms. [redacted] as a welcome call to GDJuly 31 Ms. [redacted] contacted our owner care team requesting a weekend reservation. Unfortunatley her purchased hadn't closed at that time so there was nothing we could help her withAug 07 Contacted Ms. [redacted] inform purchased had closed and completed the on boarding processSept 08 Ms [redacted] called and requested a change in deeding to take her partner off the deed and loanSept 09 Ms. [redacted] called back in and requested to re-fi the loan with only her on the loanOct 03 Ms. [redacted] attended our Owner Education Class in Woodland Hills and picked up her close of escrow travel voucher as promised. As you can see there have been many contacts with Ms [redacted]. We will attempt to resolve her concerns as best we can.[redacted]

Regarding Ms. [redacted], our owner care department has had a number of contacts with her and to our knowledge as of 10/4/14 all of her issues were resolved. She attended one of our owner education classes in early October and nothing came up. In an effort to expand her vacation opportunities we issued...

an additional 30,000 of bonus use points at our expense. She initially had an issue with a gift she was given to attend presentation which we handled and resolved. Our owner care team will attempt to contact Ms. [redacted] again to see what else we can do to help her.

The vendor that is metioned below did verify that he was calling on behalf of great destinations and they had Texas numbers mixed in with others. The the statement below is incorrect. Also this was not the only call 7 callas were verified of the 20 made and I am on the fcc do not call list. They verifed that the calls were made on behalf of great destinations 7 times.
