Do not waste your money We had a stain on the headrest of our recliner The technician came out and said it would be covered However the piece of material would need to be replaced Received an email from guardsmen stating that the technician was unable to fix it and they were looking at other avenues to fix the problem, that was on January On January received an email that said it would not be covered They said the reason was it was not a stain and it was just discolored It clearly states in the gold protection plan that it covers stains it is listed in their work order as a unknown Stain, however guardsmen refused to cover it because they said it wasn't a stain Although their work order call it a stain When I talk to the representative she said the technician didn't know what was covered and what was not covered This recliner was purchased in from *** for a $ We wanted the protection plan to cover it for stains and punctures, however we learned it was a waste of money because they don't cover what they say they cover Don't make the same mistake as we did save your money don't buy the guardsmen protection plan it's a gimmick
I live in Indiana and have recently had a claim with Guardsman with a leather chair that was covered in their protection planThe claim was denied , communication on the phone and through their website was difficult ! I went to the retailer where I purchased and they also couldn't get any resolution The retailer being a high end business with very respectable management refunded my protection plan monies as per their decision Their input was that I had a rightful claim and should not have been denied and that I shouldn't pay for coverage that I wasn't gettingSo my quest is to inform the public of Guardsmans substandard plans and to not waste your hard earned money on such !
I have had no luck in getting service from Guardsman I sent in the paper work They said it was not within the time frame I have a five year warranty it is within the five years this is another way to get out of servicing your furniture, They are terrible to work with and I would not recommend them to anyone,
I am extremely dissappointed in Guardsman We purchased the protection plan a few years ago and receive our dining room table One of the chairs completely broke in half on first use Guardsman would not even talk to us and help us *** ended up replacing our chair Now years later we had a gluey substance on our table that wouldn't come off Guardsman sent someone out to "repair" it They painted the spots on our table that DID NOT match the table Guardsman said they simply couldn't do anything and would refund the $we paid for the plan Prior to Guardsman painting our table we could have lived with the table however now that their tech completely RUINED our table we have to spend $for a new table! This tech had no business putting paint that did not match on our table! The paint color isn't even close to match!
I purchased a Fabric Protection Plan with my furniture purchase from [redacted]. I submitted a claim within the specified time allowed to the company for a fabric stain that occurred to my couch.
I received a generic email response after submitting my pictures and paperwork stating that they would not be covering the fabric stain...with no further explanation.
Its a warranty specifically covering FABIRC and FABRIC STAINS! What is the point of purchasing this extra coverage if the company wont honor the warranty for a basic stain?
I would NOT recommend this service plan. I will NOT be doing business with this company again.
The stain came out easily with water, and a microfiber rag. But, the point is, I paid for coverage, I should be able to use it. I wont waste my time or money in the future.
Guardsman came out to fix a snag in our couch, after about weeks of waiting. Then all they did was glue or melt the coushin. Now it looks terrible.
Worthless product. Rude customer service and poor cleaning services. Technician came out, missed an entire spill and the fabric couch still smells. I would NEVER purchase this worthless product again.
Don't waste your money. Such a waste of money. They try to find ways to not honor your warranty. The paperwork has to be filled out a certain way, you have to do it within 14 days of when something happened, and they never follow up with you to tell you that you have been declined. [redacted] sold me the policy so now I am going to take it up with those folks.
What a rip off. They sell you a policy and then just say they aren't going to cover the damage. I will never buy another furniture protection plan. I would get more satisfaction poking the money down a rat hole. When you have no recourse against them you need to beware. It sounds good when you are at the furniture store but watch out.....it will never pay off. Keep your money from these crooks.
My experience with Guardsman is horrendous. I purchased what was supposed to be a 5 year Warranty on furniture I bought from [redacted]' Fine Furniture in [redacted], [redacted].
That warranty , that I paid over $400.00 for ,as it turns out , is not worth the paper it was written on !
After having completed a very laborious , tedious claim process ,I was irate with the lame phony excuses I was given as reasons that Guardian is denying my claim .
This outfit is attempting to scam me of my hard earned money ,comes up with excuse after excuse ,is very difficult to get a hold of , delay,s in returning my calls , and was very rude to me on the phone ,going as far as to cut me off while I was speaking ,followed by intentionally disconnect my call.
Despite my having a "5 year Elite Warranty Plan I have experienced nothing but outrageous refusal on the part of Guardsman to honor the "Warranty " they sold me .
Their business practices ,in my opinion, are nothing short of criminal behavior . I am currently on a long list of angry unsuspecting consumers who have been ripped off.
I my opinion ,Guardsman is a very shady, deceptive, cagey organization that preys on trusting consumers . The Warranty I bought from Guardsman was supposed to enable me to get my furniture repaired should it get damaged by accident . Guardsman took my money then denied my claim . I will never, ever purchase any so called "warranty" from Guardsman ever again.
I can only hope the Revdex.com will look into their business practices and ,if they can " SHUT GUARDSMAN DOWN permanently . Stay as far away from Guardsman as possible !!!
They were very good and easy to deal with in regards to a damaged love-seat. After taking a picture and mailing off the form I received good communication from them regarding my claim and replacement love-seat. My claim definitely went smooth with them, no complaints at all.
I purchased 1 mattress and 4 mattress pads from my local furniture store. I was told the mattress pads have a 10 year warranty. In trying to make a claim on the mattress pads only. Guardsman's says that the for the mattress pads to be warranted I have to have purchased the mattress at the same time, at the same store.
Wow, what a horrible customer service experience. It is preposterous that a company, in the year 2016, require you to mail forms and photos across the country to redeem a service that you have already paid for. Is the CEO 116 years old and somehow forgot the Internet existed? Also, what sort of piles of waisted paper does this company go through? The EPA should fine them for waistful practices. I might as well go buy a new piece of furniture than deal with the hassle of this horrible company. The fact that businesses like this can even exist in this country is telling of how difficult it is to be a consumer this day and age. Prices are up, service is down. Who gets the screw? Consumers, every time. Help us out and do something about this Revdex.com or you, too, need not exist.
DO NOT FALL FOR ANY PROTECTION SERVICE AGREEMENT FROM THIS COMPANY. They are not clear or up front with all of the requirements necessary for your claim to be accepted.
I had a legitimate claim that was denied because it wasn't reported in the time they allotted for you to report damage.I reported it on the day I found it. I was NEVER informed it was to be done within 5 days the damage occurred. I have no idea when the damaged occurred, I had never seen it but certainly knew it had happened before I saw it. If you have guidelines CLEARLY inform your customer PRIOR to purchase protection NOT AFTER.
You can't report something you can't see. A loop hole for why your claim can be processed is all you will get from them in terms of service.
I am not the first person has been duped by this company as I can see by all of the other unhappy online feedback. How they are still in business is a great mystery........
We purchased many items for our new home including a couch and chaise lounge and understanding that we have a young child at home we decided to purchase the gold plan of protection. We had a wine stain and processed a claim. Guardsman suggested that we use one of their cleaning products, which we did. It helped the stain, but did not eliminate it so then we had to fill out a form. Apparently we did not send it back in the proper amount of time and it was not communicated back to us that this was the case. I then called and spent the last hour on the phone being bumped from department to department to find out that the reason why we are not being taken care of is because of a 10 day policy of remittance to a request. What??? How about contacting me when this has not been approved or suggest another process
Guardsman, we purchase these plans for convenience and we are the customers that purchase your product. You have a choice to make the right decision here and you have not.
I called back to speak with a manager/supervisor and the women on the phone told me that she would get me to the correct account manager. I simply stated that I do not need to speak with the processing department account manager as I had just spoken with him. Guess who I spoke to? The same guy that couldn't help me because of a 10 day policy. I am beyond upset with this experience. I do recognize that I did not respond within their 10 day mail in policy. Maybe there is something wrong with that process.
If I have it to do again, I will not purchase from Guardsman
A complete scam! I purchased a policy for all my furniture and the one time I need to use it my claim gets denied. The leather is peeling as well as the finish on my table. After a month waiting for a reply, they tell me peeling is not covered on the sofa, and the peeling on the table is also being denied because I didn't see it happen. Its obvious they deny every claim to avoid standing behind their pathetic scam of a policy!! From what I'm reading online, this is their common practice. Unfortunately, I trusted the furniture company and its recommendation of purchasing this policy. Its obvious both [redacted] and Guardsman are in this scam together.
This was a complete waste of money! Their employee ruined the other side of the couch where the original stain was leaving a huge spotty area. This employee no longer worked for company. It took over ten emails and five phone calls and seven months to get a response. I tried multiple ways of contacting Guardsman. I was told they were ordering replacement cushion but it never came. I started process again and they told me I could pay $415 to keep couch and they could reorder a new one. Then there was an additional $85 delivery fee after they told me I would not be charged anything else. Then two weeks turned into eight. I also could not use the original $200 Guardsman fee with the new couch so I paid $200 for one year for them to ruin my couch and they got an additional $500! Their customer service made me the most mad. They told me I never called them or emailed them back. When I asked them to produce proof of email or message since she said they log everything, she could not produce it. I had already double checked all my messages and spam. She also told me I only tried to contact them once but I have proof of over ten times. I could also pull my phone records and prove many more times but there is no point. They
I bought a couch from [redacted] huge mistake first couch broke within a week and not even two years old I had a few punctures and tears and I am getting denied because of cracking they say. Less then two years old and now every day it gets worse. Its pretty funny how you can see punctures and tears but this couch is cracking unless then two years old come on what a joke! Never get a guardsman warranty or by a durablend couch , I should get refunded for my $169.99 5 year plan for saying the punctures, rips and tears in all three of my cushions are all cracking horrible relook at the pictures and don't lie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Absolute scam....do not purchase a Guardsman Plan when purchasing a piece of furniture. My plan is for 5 years and every single time I apply for a cleaning, they deny my application. It is a complete fraud.
This "protection" is a waste of money. Their service men spent over two hours struggling to reattach the cord that opens the outdoor table umbrella . When they were done they showed me how the upper portion of the pole was now bent preventing it from opening. They said they would order a new pole and get back in touch with me. After three weeks I contacted them filled out new paperwork only to have them deny the claim because it wasn't "covered" in the agreement quoting language that is not contained anywhere in the agreement. They Just Made Up The Language!!! When I asked for a second review reminding them that it was their servicemen who bent the umbrella in addition to the phantom quote, my claim was simply denied again. Thank goodness I purchased this outdoor furniture set from a very reputable retailer who was dumfounded with Guardsmen response. They gave me a new umbrella and shipped it to me for free. This worthless coverage cost me $400.00 Don't be a fool. Never again.
