I have requested that I make payments to this collections agency. They refused to take payments and are now taking half of my paycheck. I tried to file for hardship being a single mother of two. They refused to work with me by letting me make payments which I am perfectly fine with doing so.

I was served papers by this law firm back in Dec of 2018. To this day this issue is still not resolved. I have written them letter and made numerous attempts to call them and leave voice mails for them to please call me back. No one ever dose. I've gotten 2 Correspondence from them in the form of large packages, with a lot of papers that I can't make heads or tails on. Itis now the end of November and this matter still has notbeen resolved. I've repeatedly asked for someone to call me to make payment arrangements, I've not received a call in return. I'm worried they will take me to court over a matter I've been trying to resolve and be stuck with court fees and lawyer fees I can't afford. This is not good businesses pratice. I need this matter resolved.

I settled my debt with Gurstel after they served me papers last August 2019. Now they sent me a letter and came to my house on a Sunday night to serve my roommate when I wasn't home for the exact amount I already settled with them on. I have a discharge letter I am going to send but the scare tactics this company uses to bully money out of people and then don't ever answer the phone for you to settle is completely unacceptable and somthing much be done to stop the way this company does business. Breaking kneecaps would be kinder to collect than what this company puts people through.

Also, after I paid them they reported a derogatory remark on my credit report since I settled with them for less than the full amount. I would like them to get that derogatory remark removed from my credit report at the very least

I've been trying to figure a wage garnishment they have filed on me for awhile now. Always redirected, hung up on or told to call sometime later. They send mail to an address thats not mine even, have to get fax copies from my employer. The garnishment had stopped for about 6months and is back without notice. Can't get any information that's helpful from calling.

Told them this was not my debt was never served court papers won't send me proof of debt .they call let ring 2 times hang up I call back get a recording very unethically business wont let me go to court to defend myself.

I supposedly was served papers to go to court. No one was home at the time to stated they served me. I went to court to file a response, and that was lost. In Sept I received a judgement against me. Which is soon to be paid off per my garnishment amount that has been received. I called and spoke with Matthew Davis @130 pm on 11/13/2019. The total that was awarded and on the judgement says until paid off. I was told they can keep collecting until they get the release? How is that then Mr. Davis stated the balanced owed to them was $1735, per the judgement is was $150 lesser. The court fees were also included in that. How? Mr. Davis was not the nicest person to speak to, he also told me they haven't received payment and that's why they'll keep garnishing my wages. Again it doesn't say until the company receives payments it say until paid. He began getting smart with me and saying he doesn' t understand I should have gotten the document in the mail that shows me what I owed. I said I was looking right at the judgement and that he also told me those court fees he is talking about wouldn't be included. Umm, what?
I will be going down to the courts. Because of as next friday I should only own them $9.92. No one ever knows what they're talking about!!

I have been trying to reach Elle for two months now. I have been paying on my file #1190728 since early summer. Im trying to get a payoff amount or how much I have left. Every time I call no one picks up. I have even tried emailing. I entered into a agreement to pay in good faith. I am expecting the same from them.

On or about September 17, my wife was served papers stating that I was going to be sued by Gurstel Law Firm, PC. regards to a credit card I had a few years back through *** Bank (***)
Since I work on the road 5 hours away, and home a few weekends a month, my wife drove down to give me the papers.
I had 20 days to respond to the summons. I am deaf and cannot hear on the phone, so I reached out to this law firm using their contact form.
My first attempt to reach out was on Sunday, September 22 at 11:31am. I filled out a form, offered a settlement and explained about my disability and would appreciate if they could reach me at ***@gmail.com to resolve this.
After no response, I tried again on Friday, September 27 around 11:45am using the same contact form.
As of today, I have NOT gotten any type of response from this law firm and I am getting frustrated because the 20 days are already passed. I do not have the time or means to fight this in court, as I believe this law firm had no intentions of resolving this and had no intentions of reaching out to work this out in a civil manner.
I am not disputing that I owe on this card, but I do want to settle this and I believe this law firm had no intentions of working with me to figure something out. I wouldn't be contacting you if they had at least made the effort to contact me and accept/decline the settlement offer.
I had gotten a letter from *** Bank or *** back in August I believe with a settlement offer, but since I was away from home for my job, by the time I seen the letter, it was too late to accept the settlement.
I have no idea how to get ahold of this law firm other than to contact them online using their contact form. I cannot call on the phone as I am unable to hear. The only way I can communicate is via text message or emails. The law firm will not respond to my requests to communicate this way. I would like to have this resolved immediately

Gurstel Law Firm served me with papers to collect debt for a credit card. I have called to make payment arrangements but they do not return my calls and now the interest is going up for no payment.

I had been served supposedly by this company for a credit card that was used by an ex of mine. I never received the papers they were served to an old address where my ex was staying but was notified of potential garnishments. I agreed to pay this company a monthly amount to clear my credit. They never reported one payment , never called back after 7 messages were left within 10 months. They increased my balance on my credit of what was owed on this credit card that was written off by the original company and sold to multiple collection companies. I am just being advised of how all of this is very wrong and I should have my money returned from this company that just recently wrote the collection off now that I am fighting it with experian credit. They will not accept phone calls regarding this . I would like every cent back I have paid immediately due to this was fraudulent to begin with by another person using the card, this company not doing their job and not applying as needed .

A large amount of my mom’s money has been frozen from her bank account at the direction of this law firm. We have been contacting them for 2 weeks straight to get more information on this matter and resolve the issue but no contact from them. It’s like they have disappeared into thin air. It is beyond frustrating. And reading some of the other reviews it looks like multiple other people have the same complaints. This is unacceptable. If you claim to be a law firm then you need to reach out immediately to a client or debtor that is trying to reach out to you. There are many people who are calling this firm shady, unethical and fraudulent and I agree. If they don’t change their customer service then they need to be closed down. My poor mother is already not feeling well and this firm has not at all helped her health. She’s constantly worried about the money that has been frozen and even more worried about why no one from this firm is answering the phone call. Enough is enough! Some action needs to be taken- they are a bad business and this is injustice.

I have been trying to settle old debts using the online settlement link. This company just ignores never to respond. I have called to settle and they never sent actual documents about our settlement agreements. This place is a nightmare to deal with.

I returned a vehicle to cavco of Colorado llc back in 2004 because I lost my job and was unable to make the payments Neuheisrel law firm contacted me for payments they garnished my checks I lost that job and now gurstel is garnishing my checks the original bal. was $6K now they say it’s $37K they sent me a part to appeal with no info as to where to send it I call they don’t answer finally get an answer they tell me they can’t give me the court house info because it is a direct line only for them so he goggles the info I call the court only for them to tell me I can’t appeal because it’s in judgement I call to talk to Kathryn *** #*** for them to tell me they don’t know who she is It only clearly states her name along with 6 other supposed lawyers their taking 25% of my check I can’t buy food for myself I’m on the verge of having to move out of my house to save money which I’ll be living in my truck in Az heat and I have a dog she’s my everything I hate this law firm they told me I will never get out from under this debt and I will be paying them for the rest of my life because of the interest fees and they didn’t care if I starved so to me they are scammers who prey on hard working people so they can live fruitful lives I’m willing to pay only the $6k nothing more I don’t even know how much in the past I’ve paid and what the remainder would be please help to stop this nightmare I think it’s unlawful for people like this to go find debts and wait yrs before telling you that you owe them more money then I’ll ever make in a yr

Gurstel was handling a judgment against me due to a situation in which someone used my name to get a credit card. I emailed Gurstel and advised them I was willing to make monthly payments but was simply requesting documentation to prove this debt was mine despite the judgment, something like a signature or evidence of charges for my review, but they never sent it, however, I made it clear I was willing to make monthly payments. The rep, Brennan Murray, advised he would get back to me with documentation on 12/14/18, but never provided them. He didn't follow up until 7/15/19 stating I could contact the office to speak to a collector. He did not provide any documents as he said he would, which is all I was waiting for before arranging a payment plan. On 8/26/2019, my employer advised they received a notice to garnish my wages 25%, putting my family and I in an extremely dire financial situation. My employer also received an amount of over $100 more than what Brennan advised in our email exchange.File # 1029116
