I received a judgement to pay a debt I did not know I had. It was the first notice I received yet they also sent a copy to my work to garnish my wages. I contacted them immediately and told them I would pay the debt, but the papers were already processing. Now I'm receiving a second notice that I owe court fees, again first notice, also copying my work.
I've called them twice, not response or reply.
What an unprofessional organization!

Grudstel had garnished my pay in the amount of 1031. My employer verifed that it had been pd in full. A month later I get a letter it is from them same file name and everything but saying I owe 1015. So I call and I am informed that there had been a balance of 100 amd some dollars left. First I said you where pd in full. He said no you owe us a balance of the 100 something. I said if you are telling me that I pd you off in full for 1031 because he did say he say that been pd but because I still owed the 100 something according to the courts they can continue to garnish my wages until GRUDSTEL says it was pd in full . I had asked for a bill reflecting the 100 dollars and that if they would send that I would be happy to pay it. They refused. Well if I am not sent a bill how do I prove I pd you? Am I supposed to continually pay a random amount when asked? No . Well today I contacted my HR and they are now garnishing another 1015. I am trying to find out if this is even legal. Original debt was 900 with fees they took 1031.74 (again employer says that was pd in full) they send me new paperwork for the same case but now its for b1015.00 well if I still owed from the first time why is the amount lessewr now? Will they continue to have me under pay so they can contimue to pull over 300. per ck ? How do I get htis to stop if they will not send a seperate bill for what they say I owe them???? I owed 1031 pd it they refused to send me a bill for the 100.00 I dont remember the exact amount according to them but they wont send me a bill to show me specifically what they need so now they can take another 1015. from me so they can come back and say I owe a 100.00 more but didnt pay it so they take another 1031.00? PAs of now I am trying to find out if this is even legal. This company has done this with many others as well.

I am rejecting this response because:This is not an answer. I have seen on many other sites they promise to contact you but don't.

Thank you for notifying this firm of the complainant’s concerns. This firm has contact the complainant, with the contact information provided, with a letter on April 6, 2018 to resolve the complainant's concerns. An email was sent to the Revdex.com representative about these actions on April 6, 2018 as we wanted to give the complainant time to receive the response that was sent and because the response to the complainant's concerns was not due until April 7, 2018 based on the letter sent to our firm on March 28, 2018 providing 10 calendar days to respond. Thank you.

Gurstel is currently garnishing my wages at a 25% rate for collecting the total sum of $12,000 dollars from a stolen Discover card 9 years ago. The Fair Credit Billing Act states that the maximum penalty on a stolen credit card is $50.00. The Discover card was in my name only. Gurstel dropped the legal action to collect the debt from me years ago, but kept the case open. Five years ago, Gurstel named my wife as the guilty party and served her collection papers. We did not receive this legal notice even though Gurstel had a Scott County Sheriff deliver the papers 5 years ago and supposedly someone at our home signed for them. Since we did not respond to the second legal action they started my wage garnishment last Thanksgiving. We recently tried to Quash the garnishment but a Scott County judge stated that the collection agency has the legal right to name the spouse as responsible for the debt. But, just because it is legal does not make it right. I will have to take legal action against Gurstel and am now seeking a good lawyer. Gurstel destroyed my credit rating over the past seven years and that has cost me thousands of dollars in higher interest rates. I would rate Gurstel at zero, if that were possible.

I received a notice of garnishment this past summer, Probably July. I called the #, and spoke to a James, to start the process of making payments. Well, I NEVER heard back from him. Repeatedly tried to call. Eventually after a few weeks of nothing, I kind of forgot about it. Now a week ago, I get ANOTHER garnishment. Tried to call, spoke to a guy who said they can't take payments. Only the full amount, (Which is somehow over $3,000 for a credit card I had 12 years ago). He would not accept payments. I asked for a supervisor, was transferred to a Reed, who didn't answer. This was 3 days ago. Still have yet to hear back. I got paid today, and $295 was taken from my check. About 1/4 of my check, just gone. I have tried to contact these guys MULTIPLE times to set up a payment plan, but it seems they will do anything to avoid actual contact, just so they can really go after you. I have so many bills, so many, and this really hit me hard. I will continue to try contacting them, but I have not had any luck.

I have tried to contact this company since October 5, 2017. I was served papers and tried to explain that I'm with a debt management program, the program and I have tried numerous times to contact them to start making payments and I have yet to get a call back. The Debt management company and I have also called them on party line and they still only put us through to voice mail and "we" still don't get a call back. I have been making payments and have no idea where these payments are going and the Credit Card company tells me I have to talk to these people. I would like a call back so I can get all this taken care of and get this debt paid. The last time I spoke to the receptionist she said they were going through a audit and they would call me back as soon as they are done with the audit that was November 3rd. I STILL have not got a call back. I want to resolve this and think this is very unprofessional to serve someone with papers and then not even give them a chance to pay there debt. Just because they don't want to work with the company that I'm working with. I will now also send a certified letter to them as well.

This is the second time a check issued by my employers (***) payroll company (ADP) has not been cashed in a timely manner.
This Garnishment should have ended in June 2017 but it has dragged on. A check was issued in the amount of $146.93 by ADP. The money has been taken out of my payroll check in October and I am still receiving documentation that this matter is open for the amount of $146.93

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

This company is ruthless. They don’t care about anyone. I received a letter for a summons. I tried to make payments plans. When I couldn’t make a payment I called the lady I deal with and she didn’t respond. Now they froze my bank account and refuse to hear anything I have to say and unwilling to work with me.
