Dear Revdex.com, In response to this matter, our investigation reflects that Ms. [redacted]’ complaint is against a franchise office, which has the responsibility to resolve this matter directly with your office and directly with the client. However, in response to this complaint records...
reflect a Peace of Mind Claim filed as well as a tax preparation fee refund, both of which are being processed as of July 14, 2017. As for Ms. [redacted]' request for monetary compensation, H&R Block must decline this request. We trust this response will allow your office to close your file. However, should you have additional questions or desire to discuss this matter further, please do not hesitate to contact me. Sincerely, Michelle B[redacted] Associate Business Analyst H&R Block

I am rejecting this response because:
Regards,
[redacted] I I am rejecting this offer due to the hundreds of thousands of dollars lost because my 501c3 was taken. The reinstatement fee and the $850 which was supposed to be refunded four months ago is not sufficient for what I have lost and all of the money I had to borrow to be able to keep my doors open and 57 veterans from becoming homeless. Due to H&R Block's mistakes I was denied all donations I was unable to do any fundraising for 6 months and my reputation from many many clients that see I did not file taxes for 3 years that is on the IRS website. I am due compensation for the six months that I have had to borrow money so I am refusing to close this case.Thank thank you so much if you have any questions please feel free to call.[redacted]. ###-###-####
Dear Revdex.com,In response to Mr. [redacted]'s rebuttal, our review determines that while he did send an email regarding the status of his Federal return, Mr. [redacted] did not return to the office to pay for the preparation and filing of his return, which is required prior to the return being submitted. It is the District Manager, [redacted]'s, belief that Mr. [redacted] was informed several times prior to the filing deadline that his Federal return was able to be filed at any time and did not require an extension, however Mr. [redacted] never returned to the office to pay for the service. As a gesture of good-faith and as a client service gesture, the Federal interest amount was paid tot he client and as a result, we consider this matter resolved. We respectfully request that this case be closed administratively judged resolved, as we do not believe that any further response on our part would be beneficial. However, should you have additional questions or desire to discuss this matter further, please do not hesitate to contact me.Sincerely,[redacted]Associate Business AnalystH&R Block
Dear Revdex.com, In resolution of this matter, Mrs. [redacted]'s claim has been approved for the full amount of tax preparation requested in her complaint. Please note, the Peace of Mind product fee is not refundable. Per the terms and conditions of the Peace of Mind...
contract, which states in part: "....you may obtain a full refund of the free you paid for the Plan within seven (7) days from the date of purchase. Therefore, the fee paid for this product. The tax preparation fee refund check will be sent out on Friday, September 8, 2017. As a result, we consider this matter resolved. We assure you that we take the concerns of our clients seriously and make every effort to resolve matters thoroughly and fairly. We respectfully ask the Revdex.com to close this case. However, if you should need anything further or have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Sincerely, Michelle B[redacted] Associate Business Analyst H&R Block

I am rejecting this response because: The W-2 information for myself was clearly entered using my name and social security number. My spouse's W-2 informationwas clearly entered using her name and her social security number. Any calculations using W-2 information should be based on the name and social security numberused to enter the data. The H & R Block response states " When Mr. [redacted] was submitting information for his spouse’s W-2, he left his name selected and checked the box stating “Name doesn’t match W-2”, then entered the W-2 information for his spouse."After I entered the W-2 information for myself there was not an option to change to my spouse's name. The only logical action when entering her W-2 informationwas to select the box stating "name doesn't match W-2", which I did.I reiterate, my W-2 information and my spouse's W-2 information was clearly entered using the appropriate names and social security numbers. For H & R Block to say that the W-2 information was entered incorrectly is without merit and they seem to be hiding behind a flaw in the way theycreated the design of the W-2 data entry. If H & R Block truly stands behind their tax preparation software they should reimburse me the extra $1,952.56 I paid the IRS due to the interminglingof my and my spouse's W-2 data.Regards,

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is acceptable compensation for the tax preparer's error of the 2013 taxes. However, any additional findings or any matters brought through civil suits due to new information or additional errors found on taxes for 2013 year taxes or any other year by State or Federal government or IRS will not be included in this acceptance dated 22 Jul 2017 and HR Block, or corrected spelling as necessary, can and may still be held liable to pay damages.

I am rejecting this response because:
Regar[redacted] ATTENTION : Better Business Administration Regard this matter of refund. To date 07/29/2017 a refund has not been received. This matter isn’t resolved…. No refund received.
[It is true that I approached HR block in their office in June of 2014, but way before that I engaged HR Block Expatriate services who assured me that they will file an extension and file a return ..once they failed to file a return I went to HR Block in MD. In regards to providing 2013 and 2014 records, I have not received any request from HR block to provide documentation. I beleive we have already provided all the records and documentations to HR Block... I would be happy to provide any additional documents to HandR block. I like to resolve this issue as well and would like HR Block to simply fix the mistakes and honour their warranty by compensating us for the amount I requested in my original complaint. The amount I requested is very reasonable since several serious mistakes and huge delay in filling the tax return caused the problems. ]

Dear Revdex.com, In response to Mrs. [redacted] complaint, based on our findings, and letter/s she received from the IRS mistake was only for tax year 2015. We have done our due diligence, and sent a check for the amount H & R Block is liable for, which will need to be picked up at...
office. As far, as any refund of fees we will not be refunding, the mistake and correction was made for 2015, which Mrs. [redacted] did not pay. As a result, we consider this matter resolved. We assure you that we take the concerns of our clients seriously and make every effort to resolve matters thoroughly and fairly. Sincerely, Natalie M[redacted] Associate Business Analyst H & R Block

I am rejecting this response because:H&R Block is lying and making up excuses for their unprofessional work. My account was never frozen, I contacted my bank and they said they have no record if anyone trying to deposit money into my account, beside my employer. H&R Block deliberately tried to hold my funds and it was only when I opened this complaint with the Revdex.com did they send me a check. I do not pay nor do I rewarded people or a business for poor work, as well as the countless disrespect that I received from H&R Block. I have informed [redacted] that H&R Block will never see me as their customer again. Since [redacted] and H&R block are unwilling to make amends to this then I will have no other option to start arbitration. Thank you in behalf of Revdex.com for doing an outstanding job on getting me my money, and shame on H&R Block for treating its customers like this.

Dear Revdex.com,In response to Mr. [redacted]'s rebuttal, we have determined that there may have been a communication issue in detailing what was causing the pricing increases across multiple visits to the office however, we have found that the final price is in line with the forms that were filed for Mr. [redacted] according to the tax needs. We have ensured that the pricing was accurate in this case. As stated in our prior response to your office dated 3/2/15, the District Manager did offer a gift certificate to Mr. [redacted] for a discount on a future return for the misunderstanding however Mr. [redacted] has respectfully declined that offer. In light of H&R Block's above-referenced good-faith actions to resolve this matter, we respectfully request that this case be closed admistratively judged resolved, as we do not believe that any further response on our part would be beneficial.Sincerely,[redacted]Associate Business AnalystH&R Block
I will accept this case as closed as soon as I receive my refund check and refund from what I paid H&R Block to prepare my taxes. I also will call the IRS myself to check to make sure that I was provided with the correct reason as to why I did not receive my refund. Along with my tax refund, I requested for a refund of $392.50 that I paid H&R block to complete my taxes. I am requesting this be refunded due to the fact of the hoops I had to jump through to get an answer in regards to where my refund was. It was not until I contacted the Revdex.com that I actually got somewhat of an answer. Sad that it takes filing with the Revdex.com to get an answer and H&R blocks customers are not taken seriously when requesting this information on their own. I would not have gotten any answers if I wouldn't have contacted the Revdex.com. I have spent so much time in contacting H&R Block, and going to their location per their request to sign a form, and received no answers in return. I want a refund of the money I paid them to prepare my taxes.
