I appreciate the refund though I'm still not happy with the agent's continued claim that the return she filed was correct.  She said in her voice message that I owed a penalty for filing late, which I found out from IRS not her, yet still insists return was correct even though she didn't include the penalty in the amount she told me I needed to pay even though there was a form on my copy of return where the penalty was calculated.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:I was not able to respond to H&R Blocks response online. Please add my comments to the complaint. I have never received a letter, check, or any documentation letting me know where my refund had been for 3 months. This matter has not been resolved yet because I still Dont have my funds. I did not authorize H&R Block to do anything with my refund check except take out their fees. I was told that the check could not be traced because it was a cashiers check, then I was told it was a RAC check which I had never heard of. Having to wait for over 3 months for my refund has cause me fall behind in all of my bills. I am not employed and I was depending on my refund. I have not gotten a reasonable explanation of why I never received any correspondace letting me know that my funds were other than them telling me they mailed a check that I never received. I've asked for records of the transaction, but they failed to provide it. I sent 2 check replacement forms, I sent one on 6/4/16, and the other on 7/8/16. I was told that they never received the one that I completed at their office on 6/4/16 that I completed with assistance of their H&R Block representative.

Dear Business Bureau,In response to the Revdex.com complaint, we recently tried to contact Ms. [redacted] but were unsuccessful. The office has advised her to provide the original IRS notice recieved several times, however the notice has yet to be provided. We currently have a claim under review however...

without the original IRS notice, we are unable to further investigate this matter. If Ms. [redacted] would like contact our office toll free ###-###-####, we will be happy to further assist her and address any concerns she might have.We ask that the Bureau note our above-referenced efforts to contact Ms. [redacted] to discuss her complaint.   Sincerely, [redacted] Associate Business Analyst

Dear Revdex.com,In response to Ms. [redacted]'s rebuttal, our review determines the rebuttal raises no new isues. As previously stated, unless the check is returned to H&R Block or the check expires in 90 days, we are unable to reissue funds until 5/13/2015 due to regulations mandated by H&R Block Banking services. While we regret that Ms. [redacted]'s appears dissatisfied with her experience at H&R Block, we stand by our original response dated 4/21/2015 and refer your office back to that response. Sincerely, [redacted]Associate Business AnalystH&R Block

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
Regards,
[redacted]  Because it is a Bold face lie........ All H&R Block had to do was tell me I needed to go to my local IRS office which they did not do.  The 100's of complaints on H&R Blocks [redacted] page stating that H&R Block does not offer any help to there clients prove what I am saying....... And the fact that H&R Blocks client escalation team admitted to me that H&R Block is the one responsible for raising the flags for id theft with the irs admits they was at fault for my taxes being held up.

Dear Revdex.com,In resolution of this matter, Ms. [redacted]'s claim has been approved for the full amount requested in her complaint. The check will be sent out on Monday, June 8, 2015.As a result, we consider this matter resolved. We assure you that we take the concerns of our clients seriously and make every effort to resolve matters thoroughly and fairly. We respectfully ask the Revdex.com to close this case. However, if you should need anything further or have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Sincerely,[redacted]Associate Business AnalystH&R Block

In response to Ms. [redacted]’s rebuttal, our investigation of this matter reflects that these are allegations and that the rebuttal raises no new issues. Therefore, we stand by our original response dated 03/20/2015 and refer your office back to that response. We respectfully ask the Revdex.com to close this case. However, if you should need anything further or have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Sincerely,[redacted]Associate Business AnalystH&R Block

Dear Revdex.com,While we regret any confusions or misunderstandings of our tax preparation services that Mr. [redacted] may have, our review of this matter reflects that the information entered on the return would have been supplied by the client through our questioning process. However, Mr....

[redacted] admits that he did not make any estimated tax payments throughout the year tot he IRS and this is what has caused the IRS to calculate the amount due and the resulting penalties and interest. Records further reflect that Mr. [redacted] did not purchase the Peace of Mind Extended Service Plan and therefore, it would not apply in this situation. Should Mr. [redacted] wish to have the IRS notice he received reviewed by H&R Block, we refer him back to his local office to ensure this matter is addressed properly. We assure you that we take the concerns of our clients seriously and make every effort to resolve matters thoroughly and fairly. We respectfully ask the Revdex.com to close this case. However, should you have additional questions or desire to discuss this matter further, please do not hesitate to contact me.Sincerely,[redacted]Associate Business AnalystH&R Block

Dear Revdex.com,In response to this matter, we show that Ms. [redacted] has used our H&R Block DIY software filing service. Ms. [redacted] asked a few different questions. Below we have outlined the questions and provided responses:Q1: Is it an IRS or HRB mandate that states that a client...

must print and mail if the client's employer is the Care Provide for the client's dependents? A1: The IRS will allow a client e-file with this scenario, but HRB software does not support this. Q2: Will this issue be corrected in the next season (2017)?A2: Adding support for this is on the HRB Software product backlog for adding in the future. However, things are added in order of priority and number of client's who will be affected by changes being made. This may not be added by next year, although this it is a possibility.Q3: Tier 1 support agent, [redacted], was rude and provided conflicting information to Ms. [redacted]. Very poor customer service needs to be addressed by HRB.A3: This case has been sent to the appropriate Associate Manager to address per HRB process so that agent can be coached for her service provided.Q4: Ms. [redacted] has requested a product refund for the HRB Software purchased from a retailer.A4: We has informed Ms. [redacted] that a refund has been processed for her. We are sending the check to Ms. [redacted] today via UPS over night shipping. She will receive the check by end of day 4/14/2017.As a result, we consider this matter resolved. We assure you that we take the concerns of our clients seriously and make every effort to resolve matters thoroughly and fairly. We respectfully ask the Revdex.com to close this case. However, if you should need anything further or have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Sincerely,Jennifer [redacted]Associate Business AnalystH&R Block
