I began filling the healthcare.gov form out a couple weeks ago, but needed more info, so set it aside I began receiving texts and robocalls immediately, and a few days ago I was in dire need of medical care, so I called back the most recent voice message that I'd gotten A woman from HII answered, had me write down her name, agent number, etcand began providing info on what sounded like a really good plan I signed up for it, because I really needed a doctor She told me that because it was a private company, not a PPO, POS, HMO, etc., that many doctors might tell me they didn't accept it, but I should just pay the bill and would be reimbursed for every cost above the co-pay It was all very professional, so far Then it started getting weird I had to call the agent back shortly after I'd spoken with her, and the woman who answered told me it wasn't my agents number, that she worked at another desk, and could she take my number and have my agent call me back My agent did call back, and gave me a different number to call in the future The next day, I called that number, and some guy answered, who told me he knew my agent, and could get a message to her None of these people, apparently, are equipped with technology that allows them to transfer calls My agent calls me back again, this time giving me her cell number I have to leave messages on that, too, but now I can text, also I went to an urgent care place, yesterday, figuring I'd pay the dollar copay, but they'd never heard of any of the or companies that the agent had given me names of over the phone, and that are apparently covering me, or the ones mentioned in the email I received, that included a useless temporary insurance card that nobody will accept So I paid the full dollar clinic bill My agent gave me a number to call to get reimbursed for the balance after the copay The guy who answered the phone had no clue what I was talking about He said he was customer service, and gave me a number for member services The woman at the second number told me the member number I'd been given didn't exist, and that my name wasn't in their system Somehow, however, they sent me an email and managed to charge the first bill to my credit card I just called Capital One, my credit card, explained my situation to a woman in the fraud department, and was given the impression that nobody screws with their members There was supposed to also be a dollar non-refundable startup fee, that one of the other reviewers mentioned, but that charge hasn't gone through, and I blocked further charges from health insurers I'm still out for the clinic bill, but at least I'm no longer in agonizing physical pain, anymore Don't do business with HII

I have been trying to contact anyone at Health Insurance Innovations Emailed also We want to cancel what we were talked into and it's not fitting for our insurance needs We are within the period HELP we want our money back Can anyone let us know what to do

I actually had a bad experience turn into a positive one I canceled my policy within the day time period and didn't get my refund Ended up spending about minutes on hold (understandable this time of year) and was getting frustrated Belinda answered and was extremely helpful! She took care of all my needs in a friendly and professional manner If a company will say what they do and do what they say they are good in my book

Misrepresentation of insurancethey say they are selling you health Insurance...its notjust a bunch of discount cards plus charging you for ADD insurance when you didn't ask for it they lied to sell a policy that really isn't a policy

There are too many other options out there, available to us, especially in this crunch time, to trust this not so scrupulous company They took several hundred dollars from us, resulting in just having to pay alot more at doctor & full price for prescriptions The life insurance part they lead with is very uncool & should be illeagal I dislike anything negative, but if I can save even person from getting caught up in this so called company's BS.....Look anywhere elsewhere!!! I wish CA had bans on them like Montana, wouldve saved me lots of headaches!

I believe that the sales people were misleading about the amount of coverage, and compliance with ACAI thought when I signed up for the policy that it complied with ACA, it did notBy the time I realized it, I could do nothing until open registration Cancellation of my policy was a bearI called to cancel the policy a month ago, was disconnected from the call, and the policy was not cancelledI called again after I realized that the policy has not been cancelled, I was on hold for most of the minutes or so I was on the phone with them, transferred no less than times, and had to explain everything over again (I know confidentiality requires some repeating of information, but some of the operators seemed absolutely clueless as to why I had been transferred to them)There was some pressure to get me to keep the policy as "back up insurance" even though my current policy covers everything (and more) than the policy I had through themHowever, I was able to get my policy cancelled and received the confirmation email while on the phone with HII

Worst experience ever dealing with insurance: from gathering info over a month and a half ago, to finally getting signed up weeks later since they assigned me an agent and would not let me apply with anyone but him and he was always unavailable when I called; to now, still waiting to receive my policy on day When I voiced my concerns to a customer service supervisor that such misrepresentation, discrepancies, and lack of response was poor customer service and is unacceptable, I was told "that is your opinion and opinions do not affect me." I politely let her know that she just proved my point - IT IS A FACT, and as a customer service agent it should concern herI also mentioned to the department several times that they would have to forgive me if I don't believe a single word they say when they say they're telling me the truth because they have a pattern of lying to me throughout and each time I called over the past month and a half I've been told something else that proves discrepancy with another conversation I only went with this company because, comparison, they were cheaper than Marketplace rates I should've paid the difference because I'm paying for it through time and aggravation with this company I left a voicemail with the director Dan Gfor their underwriter concerns as they would not give me a number to directly discuss one of the concerns about my policy regarding pre-existing waiver and HIPPA

I was feeling that this company was a scam, so I googled the number provided (954) 606-and noticed a lot of customer complaintsI also went on Yelp and noticed that there was a rep responding to commentsName is Diana CWhen you do a reverse lookup of that image you will notice it has Diana's Picture from a company called [redacted] I left a review on YELP as well and I am expecting them to change their profile pictureI gave them my social number, address, and my bank infoI canceled my debit card and signed up for Lifelock because I fear that I will be a victim of identity theft [redacted]

The representatives of this company willfully and knowingly deceive their customersI asked specific questions regarding what would be covered and what kind of policy this was only to find out upon receipt of the full policy that everything I was told is a complete lieI was promised dental and vision coverage and received none and I asked specifically if the coverage was short term or permanent, and was told permanent with a price review every months but my paperwork specifically said short term insurance that is not renewableWhen I was looking to purchase insurance I had no problems talking to anyone, but now that I trying to cancel my policy I can't get anyone on the phoneI have been on hold for over an hourPlease do yourselves a favor and avoid this company like the plague

Awful, awful, awful companyI was lied to on multiple subjects including: I told them I needed pre-existing condition coverage-I was lied to, I do NOT HAVE pre-existing coverage; I told them I needed prescription coverage-I was lied to, I DO NOT have prescription coverage; I am going in for surgery on a newly diagnosed condition in two weeks, they are NOT HELPING AT ALL! I am having to pay for this needed surgery with cash! This company should be shut down!

This the worest company I ever delt withTHEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY, BUT TRY TALKING OR TRY TO CANCELLSTAY AWAY!!!!!!

Scam!!!! Don't listen to anything they say this is not a real health insurance companyI cancelled one hour after signing up and if you read the fine print you won't find anything about health insurance coverageHalf a month later I am still trying to get my money back even though they say you can cancel within days for full refundI tried to get help on the phone to get my money back and after weeks on the phone with them (at least hours or more total) and they give me bogus answers, claim they already refunded me, they stall, or hang up on meThey wouldn't even let me talk to a manager! (Probably because there isn't one since it's a scam) I am now in the process of disputing the charges with my credit card company

Never told me that I was buying life insWith the short termHealth ins They would not credit back the dollars that came on my credit car And have problem finding someone to take insThey dont have a nuber to call customer service so you have to search for one online that impossible to find

I should have known better, but so much has changed in insurance, and I recently lost my jobI used to have wonderful benefits through my workplace, so I haven't had to worry about insurance for yearsWhen I called this company, or rather they called me, due to a request for information on the internet, Aldo, the representative I spoke to was very terse with meI could hear others speaking in the background, which I thought was strange, because I have never heard of insurance agents working out of a call center I used to be a customer service rep who explained my company's benefits, and none of the words he was using were typical insurance jargonI should have seen the red flag, but I just assumed they were trying to speak the language of the common manAldo bordered on rude, cut me off when I asked questions, and sounded like he just wanted to get me off the phone so he could make another sale When I got the charges, none of them were for health insurance, BUT I WAS signed up for fire insurance, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, freedom spirit plus (whatever that is), and principle advantage (also, what is this??)I have cancelled the card I provided them and will be calling on Monday to cancel these plansIf I do not receive a timely refund, I'll be submitting a complaint against this company All in all, Health Insurance Innovations misrepresents their products and has terrible customer serviceI would say that this "company" is a scam and I'm just embarrassed that I fell for itI just wanted to check the "get insurance" box off my list so badly, that I accepted all the illogical things the "agent" said

This business tells you that they are selling you health insuranceThey are notThey get all your private and financial information, charge your account, and make it impossible to cancelIf you call them, they will put you on hold indefinitely It is impossible to connect with anyone from the company unless you tell them you are interested in purchasing insuranceOnce they know you are actually one of their victims, you get put back on hold with no chance of ever speaking with someone

Scam company , told me Iwas covered for dental and health insurance, took my money and next person told me youhave no dentalGot rushed to the hospital and weeks later I'm on the hook for 6500.00,your not a third tier company,your a bunch of crooks.Noone buy this insurance! My recent experience with HII has Been nothing short of a complete unprofessional disappointment! During this month long circus act they call customer serviceEach time I would wait ridiculous periods of time listening to piano music and how important my call was to them, only to finally get a representative who seemed to be indignant and rudeEvery representative I spoke to or got passed off to by the last sounded as if they were working out of their home during a full on house party in full swing, music blaring, men woman and children shouting in the back ground, then more extended hold music, and you guessed it...back to the house party with confirmation that they completed the task spoken of and that I would receive a call from someone within hours from management regarding my 1st cancelation attempt ( I still haven't received that call) that was on the 5th and it's now the 13thFrom day one I've been placed on extended hold countless times totaling multiple hours, over several attempts for information, one of my favorites being a grand prize in which I was placed on hold for minutes while she "generated" an email that I was supposed to have already received in regards to my policy information because I still had not received my cards or info in the mailOnly to be hung up on( didn't receive that email either) So I called back, waited for an extended amount of time for the next available representative who after placing me on hold for another min finally sent me the email "3rd times a charm must be"! In getting that the next issue arose that had me puzzled which was that neither the amount combined for start up and monthly payments nor the policy discussed during my set up of the plan were what they should have beenAt this point enough was enough and I called to cancel washing my hand of this clown show for a promised full refund if your not satisfied within the day trial period, Or so I thought( wasn't that simple) The effective date of my policy was 12/12/on 1/05/I called to cancel being told that my policy was indeed marked for cancelation and I would receive a full refund along with a follow up call from management that never cameI waited until 1/12/then called back because my refund never came back to my bank accountWent through the same previous call, house party, hold festival, then was informed that the previous representative had not processed my cancelation request, but she was going to make sure she personally got it processed and canceled for me! She then informed (threatened) me that I should Know that if I cancel this policy I can by law be fined up to $for not having insuranceShe confirmed that she most defiantly canceled my policy and I would receive my refund within to buisness daysDone and done problem solved right? NOPEDuring this latest cancelation call I was being left an automated voice mail that I needed to contact them to update my payment information because they couldn't process my monthly payment through my bank! Didn't call back because I figured surely they've gotten the memo of my second cancelation callSo today is the 13th, problems solved for sure yesterday and I felt compelled to write my first review ever to give the public a heads up on what their potentially getting their self into with this companyAnd wouldn't you know that half way through writing this a HII rep just gave me a courtesy call to let me know that they could not process my payment and wanted to give me the oppertunity to update my payment information so my policy didn't get canceled! UnbelievableBut I think we'll be ok because they have an outstanding track record of doing what they say and after I gave him an ear full he told me he would write up a report, make sure it's canceled and that I can just ignore any call from them from now onNote: when it asks you to press for a call back from the next available Rep don't do it because it will state that this is not a valid extension then hang up on you , pushing you even further down the wait list

Incompetence the whole time I had themWas initially told by a customer service rep that my insurance was ending in the next few days, even though I had just received my dental card in the mailAnother insurance rep told me this wasn't true, that I was actually coveredOkay, little hiccup there Then I got an eye exam at a facility that a customer service rep told me was a providerBy the way, I had no vision insurance cardI was told they don't give you a vision insurance card, that I just tell the facility my member IDThe vision place could not find the health insurance in their system, and of course I had no card for them, so they had to bill me as a walk-in I called a few days later to try to find a dentistI was told that my dental plan through Agile Health had been cancelled, which I had not done at that pointThe rep could not tell me who did that or when it was doneWeird Ultimately, I decided I should just go ahead and cancel (or leave it cancelled...) This phone call included several transfers, long holds and even getting disconnected a few timesAt one point, I was speaking to a customer service rep whose connection was terribleHer voice kept coming in and out, and when I tried explaining to her that I could not hear her, she was condescending to meOf course, she transferred me, and then I was disconnected again The whole experience felt like a scamWill never go with this insurance again

I had the same issue as many others I started my conversation with the agent very specifically stating I wanted an ACA-compliant plan I was informed that the plan was indeed ACA-compliant and that I would receive a "Certificate of Credible Coverage." [Not sure what that it.] I was told that I could not receive any written details of the policy until I completed the application and filed for approval....but that I had at least days to cancel[That should have been my first clue Reputable companies do not require you to pay to get the details on what you are buying.] After providing my credit card number, I received the documentation for me to sign electronically Immediately on the first page in bold type, the plan said that it was NOT ACA-compliant When I mentioned this to the agent, he insisted that I did not understand what I was reading He wanted to stay on the phone with me until I signed I noted that it said in writing that I had days to review the documents Clearly I had been misled and scammed I am watching my credit card account very carefully to be certain that no charge appears HII is hiding behind a veil by saying that they have no responsibility for what the agents say They know what is happening and are just as dishonest as those who represent them
