Like many others on here, I have never written a negative review and if I could give zero stars Heartland Vet Supplies would get noneOrdered meds for my dog days before they would run outDuring ordering process I was upsold a flea collar that I was told was safe for childrenFast forward weeks, the meds arrived three weeks after order and the label on the collar packaging says "not safe for children, wash hands immediately, do not allow pets to sleep in bed with humans" So, when I call them to return they tell me I have to pay for return shipping as well as a 10% restocking feeHUH? Spoke to supervisor who said they would waive the restocking fee if I pay shipping so I agreedAfter returning the collar they wait a week to credit and guess what?10% restocking fee deductedImmediate dispute with [redacted] after they refuse to honor their word and do the right thingSo many other places with low prices to order from, just avoid these guys completelyZERO STARS

I selected the incorrect medication online and called customer service and spoke with Ms [redacted] who was more than helpfulShe immediately contacted the Vet who had denied the Rx due to my incorrect selection and received the approval via phone and adjusted my charge to the decreased amountShe was friendly and went out of her way to go the extra mile to resolve my mistake and provide my pet with the much needed medication which is short supply due to being manufacturered in Puerto Rico and the recent hurricaneI am beyond thankful for Heartland Vet and specifically Ms [redacted] !

Heartland Vet Supply, is a supplier that I have dealt with for quite a few years I use A [redacted] Canine for my aging large dog Per my veterinarians instructions, the dose will eventually decrease I had to think about expiration dates, since the vials would last longer This is where my representative named Mintha helped me by contacting pharmacy &, getting the dates to me I never ran into a problem, there was even an Ad [redacted] shortage at suppliers for a while, still no problems with ordering ItWe now order our B [redacted] for large dogs at Heartland, I ask expiration dates just as I would from my Veteraniarns office I have always erred on the side of caution with our pets and order their flea, tick and HEARTWORM medication the month before they run out My vet faxes in the prescription, I wait a few days to call & speak to Mintha to find prescriptions are there She will inform me of how many refills I had & price They are always running specials so each time I have gotten a discount for our dogs medication I will continue to use Heartland as customer service and pricing have always made me a loyal customer Thank You Mintha for all your help through the years & hope you will continue to be my customer service representative Sincerely, Karen

'd like to take this opportunity to share with those who may have pets on medications [redacted] I'm in a situation where my youngest legged` son "Ollie" suffers from allergies where he's constantly scratchingThis to the point where blotches of skin are beginning to appear Ollie's Vet had placed him on a mg dosage of [redacted] twice a day, for the past several yearswhich proved to be a tremendous help in relieving his scratching As all good things must come to an end, Ollie's meds were no exceptionThe price of [redacted] had soared out of controlSpending nearly $ [redacted] /month for Ollie's meds, proved to be a bit much Having done a little research, I've come across The Heartland Veterinary Supply and Pharmacy[redacted] , where I spoke to an angel on earth, Mintha Mintha through her professionalism took the time to first listen to my situation, then break down the steps needed to secure the much-needed medsit get's better! Mintha then went on to explain, the VET was the only person who could authorize the scriptAddressing my concerns about being in a position of a " cash-cow" to the Vet's monthly revenues, he's certainly not going to approve Ollie's script Mintha listened patiently as I went off on my tangentShe then took some information and asked if she could place me on holdA few minutes later, Mintha had advised me that the fax was sent to the Vet's office, and received for pending approval Approx hours later, Mintha had phoned announcing the script was not only approved but going out in that day's mail Mintha it's your business how you were able to accomplish all that transpired, on this end, I can't thank you enough.....and stand by my word of buying you the biggest steak in town.......provided Ollie can have the bone A much appreciative Bud ***

I called the company regarding placing an order for lactated ringers because the photo of the fluids bag on their website was fuzzy and was not clear enough to make out the "brand." I spoke with "Stacy" who placed the order for me by telephoneI clearly told her I wanted to purchase the " [redacted] " brand of lactated ringers and told her I was concerned about making sure that what they had on their website was what I was inquiring about (due to the photo being unclear)I expressed my concerns about giving my cat, who I've been treating for cancer, anything different from what I've always purchased from my vetShe told me it was the sameI was NOT told by that rep at the time I placed the order that I would receive a different brand other than what I requestedAlso, at the time I placed my order, I was never told by that rep that I would not be able to return my orderIt wasn't until I received the order and called them to inform them that it was not what I had ordered by telephone, that they told me I could not return the orderThey stated that I was "informed by multiple management members that we cannot guarantee that brands will match photographs shown." That statement is not trueThe ONLY reason I spoke to multiple people was because I called them after receiving the order and I was transferred multiple times! And they never mentioned anything about "manufactures varying or brands not matching the photographs on their website." As well, the label ingredients on the actual fluid bags I received vary from what their website lists for the label ingredientsThe fact that they are selling products on their website that don't specify the brand name, and more importantly, that are not made in the United States, is questionable and substandardAnd how they have handled the issue of sending me a different brand from what I requested on my telephone order has been a blatant display of poor customer serviceBuying this product from their company has been FAR from helpful or easy as their website statesI was transferred times to people who were uncooperative and oblivious as to why I was callingThe sales manager, Mike, was very rude, their staff was NOT knowledgeable about the product I inquired about, and their company is definitely not a "safe source" for buying Rx drugsMy experience with HVS has been beyond disappointing and extremely regrettableI told them I wanted to return the product for a full refundThey refuse to refund me or to hold themselves accountable, and have displayed horrible customer serviceEven if they refuse to do the right thing and reimburse me, I will make sure other customers are alerted of their unacceptable customer service and shady way of conducting business

I ordered medicine for my dog days ago - I called yesterday to get an update: they have not had time to contact my vet for approval?? I ordered medicine for my dog and on the 7th day I called to get an update The woman said they have not contacted my vet yet I said really? She said they have people out sick Well, what about my dog's health I paid to have the medicine overnighter and now my dog has gone without for over a week They said they would get to it yesterday - it is now the next day and NOTHING! They don't answer the phone, it is always busy, they don't respond to emails This company has got to go! if you care about your animal DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!!!!!!!!

I had to place an order yesterday and I spoke with Amy and she was very kind and knowledgeableShe compared coupons to get me my best pricingAnd then my vet change things last night so I called this morning and I got a me again and she was super understanding and wonderful to work with to cancel my order so that I can place it in the near future againAnd making sure that I get my credit backShe really is knowledgeable courteous just plain old wonderful and a valuable employee for your companySo far everybody that I have talked to has been wonderfulSo thank you for having so many of my kitty cats medicines readily available and at a great priceI wish shipping wasn't free at such a high price of $because then I would order more often and not have to run elsewhere when I just need one or two itemsOther than that I'm very happy with your company

The website is deceivingIt indicates 3-days DLIEVERY time Second time I place an order and they do not shipTheir website is deceiving, indicating under shipping options that there is either overnight or 3-business days deliveryBut after 5-days the items still have not shipped and when I called to complain I was told the shipping time alone is 3-days, from whenever they decide to shipHowever, the website indicates items available and 3-days delivery timeI end up being stuck with constant overnight fees, and in fact had to pay for overnight shipping and get my item in more than a week

***BUYER BEWARE [redacted] I ordered a case of IV fluids and lines/needles last year for my dog It took an unacceptable amount of time for HVS to contact my vet for the prescription and ship the items The package was delivered the day after my dog died When I contacted them about returning the never opened package, I was told that they could not take the items back, because it was against the law to take back prescription items The lines/needles were NOT a prescription item They eventually admitted to their "mistake" (or lie, as I call it), but I had already offered the items to a local rescue Since that time, I have unsubscribed from HVS emails dozens of times, but they continue to spam my inbox with their ads Yesterday, I received an email reminding me that it was time to refill my dog's IV fluids My dead dog The IV fluid that I tried to return This company is THE WORST

I submitted an online order with Heartland over the weekend and received confirmation they received the order on Monday, 3/12/at 10:AM, also a pending charge of $ [redacted] for the prescriptions on my credit card On the morning of 3/14/I reviewed my order and it indicated not shipped I then emailed Heartland at 7:AM and received an automated response saying I would receive a response within hours On the morning of 3/15/at approximately 9:AM I had not received a response so I called Person I spoke with said they received my order and one of the meds was not in stock and someone should've called to tell me I advised her to cancel my order and I would purchase the meds from my vet Very disappointing first experience with Heartland and I'm not sure if I will attempt to order from them again

I have been trying to get prescriptions filled for weeks and have had nothing but a run aroundI sent (physical) prescriptions to Heartland on 2/Before I sent them I opened an account with them and ordered the prescriptions and checked the Rx will be mailedOn March 6th I had not heard anything so I called themThey claimed they "couldn't find it in the mail"Fortunately I paid the extra $ [redacted] to send it first class-sign for and had a tracking numberI went to the PO and they verified that this was delivered March Called the company again and (by some miracle) they "found them"They said they would take care of getting the prescriptions processedToday is March 21, I have made phone calls to HeartlandI have made calls to their pharmacyEVERY person said they "would take care of it"I have NO prescriptions to dateI called another online pharmacy to see if they could get the prescriptions sent to them-they sent requesREPLY FROM HEARTLAND! On the last call to this company I begged for them to just send the prescriptions back to me [redacted] OvernightI told them I would pay for it and call [redacted] myself if they could just put them in an envelope...no response from HeartlandSo...to dateHeartland has all of my prescriptions-They will not fill themThey will not forward to another company to fill and they will not send them backI am disabled and feel like I am having a nervous breakdownMy dog that has not had his medication in almost weeks is literally ripping his own hair outTomorrow I will file a complaint with the Attorney General office here in AZAnd it appears I will have to retain an attorney to retrieve MY prescriptions from this companyThis has been a horrific ordealI cannot believe a company that handles life and death prescriptions can be so incompetentDO NOT USE THIS COMPANY-They shouldn't even be in businessIt is unbelievable what they have done to me and my animals- I guess I will get MY prescriptions when we go to court-how ridiculous

When it comes to finding a reliable and efficient online distributor for pet medication, Heartland Veterinary Supply, along with their lead resolution specialist, Mintha, have not let me down! I have tried several distributors over the past year, as my dog developed a chronic health condition that requires a consistent supply of expensive medicationLike most families, money does play a factor- with the constant promotions, I've yet to find another distributor to beat Heartland's pricesAs for customer service? I've had the pleasure of talking to several employees, all helpful and polite :) Mintha, especially, ensured that a critical matter pertaining to my credit card (and my own mistake) was speedily resolved, even when the card company themselves could do nothingI can confidently recommend them to those seeking the best prices paired with top-notch customer service!

Awesome company! Great Customer Service! I will never order from anywhere else They helped me with my puppy's scripts! I received in two days Their prices are great Always running awesome sales I would recommend this company to anyone with pets Great job Heartland! You've got my business for life!

I am writing this to amend an earlier review that I submitted on March 24, 2017, in which I shared a negative experience with Heartland Veterinary Supply (HVS) Later that day, HVS exceeded my expectations by processing my order much quicker than anticipated, and appears to have upgraded the shipping to two-day, which is also a very pleasant surprise It is very likely that my prior negative experience was an anomaly It is also possible that my veterinarian had a role in causing a delay In any case, I wish to thank Heartland Veterinary Supply for turning my experience into a positive one
I have only had positive experiences with HVS customer representatives, whom have been very responsive, courteous, and professional in spite of the fact that their jobs are likely made more difficult due of a telephone answering system that could be described as archaicWhile on hold, the caller will hear some tones giving some indication that your call is being processed; however at times the phone will begin ringing for a period of time, but without an answer, it will go back to hold tones I became suspicious that my call was in some kind of dead-end loop I hung up and called back, only to find myself in the same holding pattern At times the phone would go silent A caller is not given a wait time, which would at least provide some type of expectation On four occasions, it took me fifteen to twenty minutes before I was connected to a customer service representative My veterinarian called five times during business hours and said that there was no answer It might be the case that she didn't wait long enough, but waiting 15-twenty minutes is a long time without knowing whether someone will answer

On ***, I ordered medication for my horse at 10:am (per sales receipt) I paid the *** to have *** 2nd day delivery Medication is scheduled for delivery on *** I contacted customer service who informed me that they don't count processing time and that there is an additional **$ fee for Saturday delivery This was not mentioned anywhere on the website as either a restriction or an option My horse went more than days without needed medsthey will not refund the shipping fee or send additional meds to cover the days I lost

I ordered INSULIN on March and paid $for overnight shippingThey faxed my vet the next day and they responded (I went in and asked)On March 15th, after a dozen emails and calls, I received the urgently needed insulin! I emailed on March and said I wanted the overnight fee returned to meThey shipped it the day before our 24" blizzard so it sat in a truck all nightNo refund there either! Actually, they ignored that email too! Shame on themWho offers overnight and waits days to ship after receiving the vet ok??? I called and said my dog desperately needs thisThey don't care! Use someone else
