Helping Timeshare Owners Reviews (%countItem)

Paid $1900 in September, 2017 to remove us from timeshare ownership. Have not been able to get a response or feedback on progress.
In September, 2017, we paid this company $1900.00 to get rid of our timeshare. I provided them with everything they requested and was assigned Vicky G as my case manager. (Based out of Nashville, Tn) She has NEVER contacted me since then, every time I asked her for an update or let me know what she has done on our behalf, she either doesn't respond or puts me off. On May 16 I called and was told I could not speak to Vicky, I spoke to Brianna who assured me she would look into it and call me back on May 17... She did not call me, I called her at the end of the day and she stumbled around, not having seven looked into my file. She again said Vicky was not available. I have not received anything for what I paid and am not getting any response from this company.

Desired Outcome

Finish the job ASAP or refund 100% ASAP.

This was a simple misunderstanding. We spoke to the client and worked things out. We are going to continue to work with the client to obtain a resolution for him. The client agreed, and we are moving forward with his case. The client said he felt as if he jumped the gun a bit with the complaint, and we completely understand since clients go through so much with the timeshare companies. We hope we were able to answer all of his questions today. Everything should be taken care of. If Mr. has any questions, have him call the office and ask for his case manager, and she will take care of him. Thank you!

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I accept the response at this point as they have reassigned my case to another case worker that has already done more on this case in 3 days than the previous case worker did in 7 months.

I must admit, I was very skeptical in the begining as I did not trust this would work. I had used another company before and it was not succesful. Working with this team was good; Priscilla and Larisa handled my case and got my timeshare canceled and my credit cleared of any negative reporting. The process was long, nearly a year, but it worked! Thank you

Thank you very much for your kind review. We appreciate your business, and are glad we could help!

This company was recommended to me to handle a fraud disputes on my credit report...... WOWWW- This company asked for a little information via Pricilla ( she was thorough and available whenever we had a question). Pricilla explained everything we needed to know and explained the process. Within 1 1/2 months our credit report is now cleared of the derogatory mark that was poisoning my report. I couldn't be happier with this company and the outcome ! I highly recommend this company- you'll be glad you called!

Thank you so much Valerie, we are glad we could help!

Helping Timeshare Owners, Inc. have been a Godsend. My wife and I hired lawyers to assist us in being released from a time share contract. They were unsuccessful. I then reached out to Helping Timeshare Owners, Inc., hoping to try one last time to be rid of this timeshare nightmare. Their associate Priscilla was able to uncover information to help our case that not even our lawyers found. I'm sincerely grateful for all their help. We are no longer under contract! I definitely would recommend them.

Thank you for your kind review Emilio!! We are glad we could help. We will pass this info on to Priscilla!

First complaint filed on 3/11/18 which was closed. Issue still unresolved. This is a response to HTSO's slanderous response.

I am here to add that since posting the 3/11/18 review (which is closed and unresolved), not only has HTSO Director of Operations, Jeremy P, said completely false things about what happened; such as claiming to not know about my disabilities when your company helped me write the letter to *** that directly outlined them. You have now left me THREE voicemails; one of which was very intimidating and borderline threatening 3/12/18, one of what was a partial playback of a recorded live call between us which I found unsettling 3/13/18, and in the third, you said I must call you back to get a refund (3/15/18)...

I have already spoken to your company many times on the phone and you were INSISTENT that I would not get a refund, but now you're claiming I can? I have no reason to believe you because if you were going to do that, you would have in the time that I have already wasted trying to work on this issue with your company.

HTSO's business practices, both in sales and in your customer service are nefarious and I will not be calling you back after the way you conducted yourself in our previous conversations and in your voicemails to me. If you're serious about issuing a refund, you have my information and you can mail me a check. I will sign and mail back any forms you require, per your voicemail.

Original Post 3/11/18:

Helping Timeshare Owners, LLC (aka Help for Timeshare Owners aka HELP4TSO), took advantage of me knowing I am on disability. First, HELP4TSO Jeff H misled me. I spoke to Jeff on the phone between January 2017 through April 2017. During that time period I was also checking out other companies that help with canceling timeshare contracts and recouping money. I believed Jeff when he said several times that not only would they help me with canceling my timeshare contract but that I would also recover all or part of the money I had already paid into the timeshare. I went with HELP4TSO because they said they would get my timeshare contract cancelled AND that I would recover all or part of my $8000. With that said, I committed to HELP4TSO by giving them $1826, and signed papers. I should have followed my gut feeling to work with a local company in California but I believed HELP4TSO (located in Florida). Unfortunately, they bold-face lied with their false advertising. Per Jeff's email, "... However, we are very good at getting money back (50% of the time we get a full or partial refund back to the owners)." In September 2017, HELP4TSO had me write a letter and they revised it which I then sent to *** Resorts. The following month I sent one other letter. Sometime in November 2017, my timeshare was cancelled, however; putting a negative ding on my credit report. I then requested assistance with the second half of the service - recovery of full or partial timeshare money. To my surprise, HELP4TSO said this was not something they could enforce *** to do and that I would not be able to get anything back. What??? I was repeatedly told by Jeff that I would be recovering money. That is why I went with their company HELP4TSO. I get passed to another person, Jeremy P (Exec Dir of Op), who argues with me and reduces me to tears. Finally, he tells me he will look into it. The next day, I get a call back from Jeremy that he did everything he could, including all this research, and that he really tried to help me but that they RARELY recoup money for anyone. Why are they telling potential clients that they recover full or partial timeshare money as part of their service if this is not so? As a consolation, Jeremy said he would work on my credit report via their 3rd party company for free if I send him all my credit information. I was so dishearten and incapacitated talking to him and getting his email (1-23-18) re credit score help that it literally took me a few weeks to go back and read his email again. I was so upset! What the hell?! I can take care of that credit ding myself!... See original complaint.

Desired Outcome

My desired settlement: Refund my $1826 for failure to render services in full. In the last voicemail message dated 3/15/18, Director of Operations Jeremy P, stated that I had to call him to get a refund. However, the very next day, he made slanderous statements in his response to my complaint and now the Revdex.com complaint is closed without any resolution. If you would like to hear his last three voicemails, I would be happy to send them to you. Jeremy is not sincere and one of his voicemail messages was very intimidating and borderline threatening. I will not call this company back but I will sign the required form necessary to get my refund. Thank you for your assistance with this matter.

Once again, we spoke to the client after her timeshare was cancelled and explained what we will do next. The client asked me to send her an email outlining what we are going to do to correct this, that way she had it in writing. I did so right away. The client states she didn't read my email because she was sooo upset. She said she was having financial problems (why she wants a refund even though her timeshare is cancelled). After our first long response to the client, she STILL has not tried to even contact us about her issues. We have already addressed them, and will not entertain an argument when this was handled. We have no problem having a rational conversation with her, as we did before already. It took 2 months to file the first complaint after her having me send her the email outlining our conversation, which we can provide along with detailed notes from our CRM outlining her case in full. The clients timeshare is cancelled, and we offered to pay for her credit program...end of story. I hope she calls someday, so we can fix this. We have a policy that entails sending a release letter to the client to receive their refund. Perfectly fine for any company to do, that way we have documentation that the case is closed. We helped this client. You cannot please everyone though...even though we tried! Clients have to remember that the resort is the one that lied and pressured them into the timeshare, not us...we are just here to help those clients! Our company will make sure that we at least try to make all clients happy at the end of the day.

3/28/18 For Revdex.com response, Jeremy writes, "Once again, we spoke to the client after her timeshare was cancelled and explained what we will do next. The client asked me to send her an email outlining what we are going to do to correct this, that way she had it in writing. I did so right away."
On 1/21/18, My call to HTSO was transferred to Jeremy P because I did not understand why they would not finish the services they said would be provided which included getting timeshare money recoup. Jeremy P argued with me for several minutes and adamantly said I would not be getting any timeshare money recoup or refund which added to my frustration. Jeremy P called back the next day 1/22/18 and lied saying he did everything he could, including all this research regarding HTSO clients who had received partial or full recoup of monies paid into timeshare. He said he really tried to help me but that they RARELY (maybe twice) recoup money for anyone. It became apparent that they misrepresented the services they advertise and I was so disappointed. This isn't legal. Why are they telling potential clients that they recover full or partial timeshare money as part of their service if this is not so? I believed Jeff, HTSO salesperson, when he said several times that not only would they help me with cancelling my timeshare contract but that I would also recover all or part of the money I had already paid into the timeshare. Jeff's email states, "... However, we are very good at getting money back (50% of the time we get a full or partial refund back to the owners)." What Jeremy said in the 1/22/18 phone conversation was that what he would do next is fix my credit because getting a timeshare money recoup was NOT going to happen and that was that. I was driving at that time and told him to send me an email which I received the next day. I read it and it was so upsetting that I did not read it again until a few weeks later. I do not like how Jeremy continues to twist my words and instead writes, "The client states she didn't read my email because she was sooo upset."
3/28/18 For Revdex.com response, Jeremy writes, "She said she was having financial problems (why she wants a refund even though her timeshare is cancelled).
Per Jeremy's accusation of my "money troubles", his offer to clean up my credit was his alternative to not honoring a refund. Even with the ding on my credit score from doing business with HTSO, my credit score is still good enough to recently open up a credit union account as well as qualify for a loan through them, both of which requires good credit. It was pointless to have Jeremy work on my credit as I only have 5 things open, 2 of which have zero balance. His accusations is to deflect from the real issues at hand - unscrupulous business practices and refusal to refund my money.
3/28/18 For Revdex.com response, Jeremy writes, "After our first long response to the client, she STILL has not tried to even contact us about her issues. We have already addressed them, and will not entertain an argument when this was handled. We have no problem having a rational conversation with her, as we did before already.

I was never told that the timeshare was cancelled on 8/22/17 as per Jeremy's 3/16/18 response to my complaint. In an email from Larisa P dated 10/20/17 (almost 2 months later from Jeremy's date of 8/22//17), she informed me that, "...they have already sold the debt." What did that mean? I had nothing in writing stating the timeshare was cancelled from either HTSO or Wyndham. In fact, The Settlement Options to Avoid Foreclosure contract, was not signed by me or notarized until 12/14/17. I received confirmation from a Wyndham mail dated 1/14/18 that I was no longer responsible for the Wyndham timeshare. That was the first time I had something concrete in writing. Yet Jeremy P is trying to make it seem like I waited months later begging for a refund because of "...financial problems..." Really Jeremy? It was a week from the time I received the Wyndham mail and my first conversation with Jeremy. If I get a letter from Wyndham dated 1/14/18 and my first conversation with Jeremy is on 1/22/18, that is not an unreasonable timespan to conduct business.

Additional Information from Business: 4/10/2018

We tried to help this client out by paying for her credit to be fixed through the 3rd party company, which was okay with her at the time. She asked me to send her an email (as stated in my previous response). The client keeps adding more and more info to her complaint, when her ONLY issue at first was that she wanted her money back from the resort. The reason we played the recording for her on her voice mail is because she will never answer her phone. We can email it to her if needed so she can hear the whole thing for herself. We DO NOT guarantee a refund from the resort, which is very clear in the contract she signed. And Jeff never guaranteed one either, 50/50 means we will try...not guarantee. We do have proof that clients get refunds from the resort all the time, but they do not give a reason why one client received money back and another didn't. This client is twisting words as she would say. If you read her original response about reading the email...she said she didn't read it until weeks later...when now she is saying she read it, then came back to it later. This is a simple case of "I want my money back from your company because the resort didn't refund me". That is not how it works. The reason the client will not call back is that she knows I am right, and by keeping up with this dispute, she thinks she will strong arm us into refunding her, or hurting our reputation, when our job is done! I called the Revdex.com about how to deal with this kind of complaint, since it holds no grounds. If you read all of our previous complaints, the clients received a refund (if needed) because their year was up, or the client got out themselves before starting the process or during depending on the case. Those complaints were resolved. I am not going to tear apart the clients words of course, because that is unprofessional. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion at the end of the day. This is why we keep VERY detailed notes regarding EVERY case. When she says "just send me the letter to sign, then send me my check"...that should tell you something.

Just thought I would share my progress with this company from the time that I start. I initially contacted this company about 3 years ago but did not have the money to use their services. I got a text message from them a few days ago about a special. I spoke with Jim *** who seemed very down to earth and was readily available at 6 and 7 o'clock pm during the week. We had a conversation about what was expected of me and of the company and then agreed on a price. I just signed the contract yesterday 3/16/18 which was conveniently e-mailed to me. I had a chance to read the contract in the comfort of my own home and do my own short look into this company's ratings online. Communication is great so far. Wish me luck.

I have to say I write reviews very often but in this case I just had to. Helping Time Share Owners was just wonderful. It started out rough because the first case worker was not good but as soon as I told them they switched to Danielle and she was wonderful. We didn't know what we were going to do and she took care of everything for us. I would give them 5 stars for sure.

Helping Timeshare Owners Response • Mar 16, 2018

Thank you for your kind review!! We are glad we could help!!

This company was contracted to cancel 2 timeshares with ***. They did not do this.
My initial contact was with Jeremy ***, Director of Operations. I sent him a check for $2840.50 (Jan 11, 2017). I was assigned to Saby S. (Case Manager) on Jan 13, 2017. I send her everything she asked for. She composed a letter to *** (***). I sent her confirmation that it was sent. I did not hear from Saby anymore. My calls were not returned. In March 2017, I spoke to Vanessa C. (New Case Manager). Saby left the company. I had to forward my emails from Saby. Letters were send back and forth to *** without putting an end to my timeshares. I questioned Vanessa about this process. She says it showed communications. This continued off and on until August 2017. The *** contact continuously said he was not the person to talk too. This was a dead end. Things were getting dragged out. She wanted me to wait 40 days for a response from *** before she would send off another letter. I expressed my dissatisfaction. This was ignored. Then she sent me an email saying that she tried to contact me but my phone was disconnected. More letters were send in September 2017. Nothing else.

Desired Outcome

I want a full refund of $2840.50. I sent an email to Vanessa C. she doesn't even remember what my case was about. She said "the letters we have you send out to the resort does not make them stop payments." No wonder my timeshares were not cancelled. She didn't know what she was doing or she wasn't trying to help me.

I spoke to the client Valerie. I explained that if her case reached the year mark, we would obviously refund her money based on our 12 month contract. There were some misunderstandings about her certain resort. The resort she owns with will drag the case out. This is to intimidate the client into continuing to pay for something they were pressured into in the first place. We agreed to refund the client. This is a rare case. Our company CAN NOT legally tell a client to stop their payments. We also can not send a letter to the resort to stop the payments. The client misunderstood at the time of sign up, which was done through a 3rd party affiliate. Most clients have already stopped paying the resort out of pure principle, because of the lies and deceit the resort uses to sell the timeshare. Refund-Case Closed

Customer Response • Mar 15, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
There were no misunderstandings when I signed with this company. I have to respond to this complaint before I am send the paperwork to process my refund of $2840.50.

Did not handle all issues in relations to cancelling of my Timeshare and Credit Card issues..
Timeshare contract #24979052
I hired this company to help me get out of my timeshare contract and anything that had to do with it, I was told right away to not sent them anymore payments. After paying thousands for the service and receiving letters for me to send to *** Resorts about how unhappy I was the the foolery of the contract verses what I was told verbally, I did just that. After going back and forth and leaving message and playing phone tag with my rep Vanessa ***, I thought I was on the road to recovery. After longs waits in between leaving messages and waiting, I finally received a letter from *** Resorts dated April 27, 2017 stating that had received my letter dated February 9, 2017 for Contract #24979052 informing me that my contact was cancelled due to "loan delinquency", not that a deal had been worked out with them or the credit card company ***, but because I stopped making payments. I called Helping Timeshare Owners to request my money back since they had only sent me 5 letters to sent to *** Resorts and without mentioning *** who originally put the down payment and which was opened by *** Resorts. I called spoke with Vanessa and then the Manager Jeremy, not only because the contact was cancelled due to "none payment" according to the letter I received, but also because I was still getting statements with creditors writing and calling me about the down payment that Jeremy stated he would get corrected and my credit fixed. To this day 03/11/18, I'm still getting bills from *** Bank and they are the only one's on my credit report that have negative credit marking on my credit history. This was over a year ago and this issue still has been resolved. I was told someone in the credit dept will handle this and call me back over 8 months ago, still waiting. When I asked for a refund of all the monies that I had already put into the Timeshare of over 3750.00 nothing still has not been sent for the recovery that I was promised in the contact, nor the guaranteed money back of thousands if they did not recover it, cancel my contract and restore my credit. This is still hurting my finances and credit almost 2 years later.

Desired Outcome

To do as the contract stated which was to have me out of my contact with the money I paid into it, (not because I stopped paying)which left Helping Timeshare Owners nothing to do but type up several letters for me to send and they did not even include the CC with *** that was part of *** Resorts Timeshare. And refund me the money that I paid them to handle this issue.

We have made at least 5 attempts to contact the client to go over her concerns. First of all, we do not dispute credit cards (like she is saying about the *** card). We use a 3rd party credit repair company, which is up to the client to use, and is also in our agreement. We agreed to pay the fee for that service for her since her timeshare was cancelled, and that was the last step. The 3rd party credit department reached out to her on 9/19/2017 to start the credit repair process once she told us about the report. The client stopping her payments is her decision, and we cannot tell her to stop paying since we are not attorneys or CPA's. The resort reports sometimes to scare the client into stopping their dispute, even though they are not suppose to while the client is in dispute. Jeremy, the Director Of Operations, spoke to her about this and the client was okay at the time. This clients timeshare was cancelled as of 2/23/2017, and on 2/19/2018 her case manager helped her out with some info she needed for tax reasons, and that was the last we heard from her until this complaint. Also, we DO NOT GUARANTEE money back from the resort even though we make sure that we at least try through the letters sent. The refund is up to the resort at the end of the day. Our 3rd party credit specialist will repair her credit definitely. We will do anything and everything to please our clients. We also want to make sure this is the client that has concerns, and not another company telling her to do so...which has happened a lot lately by other companies trying to ruin our industry and company by telling the wrong info to people. This is an assumption of course based on what we have experienced lately. If the client will call us back to rectify the situation, we have no problem doing what is needed. Our office is open until 5:00pm eastern time, and the client can ask for Jeremy ***. He will take care of the situation. We look forward to hearing from the client. Thank you!

Misleading information regarding services.
I chose this company to help get me out of my timeshare due to their A+ Revdex.com rating and they advertise it. It turns out that the issues I'm having with them are similar to the competitive groups, so I'm confused how they have this rating to start. Also, I was purposefully mislead to believe that I would be LEGALLY represented in my efforts to get out of my time share. I was told about their legal team, they had to get approval from the legal team to take my "case", they would add me to a group case, and finally I was told about the legal teams success rate and impact. I believe I was paying for legal representation and paid a significant amount. After my payment was received, I was told my issue wasn't a legal issue, it was a consumer issue and there would be no lawyers involved. I would be sending letters to get the company to release me from my timeshare. I filled out a questionnaire and the letter I was told to send was a summary of the questions I answered....basically I wrote the letter. Then I had to print and mail the letter. No letter from a legal office, no legal office letterhead. The service they're providing is a complete BAIT and SWITCH. I have asked on two occasions, in writing, for a itemized bill for the money I spent with them. Not only have I not gotten any detail, my request has never even been acknowledged. I was told in the "interview process to continue to pay my monthly fee but to not pay maintenance fees because I would never get them back. I was told at a later date that there would be NO effort made to correct my credit so I needed to pay the maintenance fees. Communication at best is once a month. I have little guidance only a "promise" that they guarantee success or I get a full refund. I imagine that they prey on those that have bought into timeshares because we believe what we hear. That may not be true at all. I want out of my time share and I will be happy if that happens. I don't believe the money I paid was appropriate, since they have done so little and there are no lawyers even engaged in the process as was eluded too. This complaint is a warning to anyone looking at this company that they are not any different then the others out there, they just somehow have an A+ rating. I will update this complaint if and when I get released from my timeshare, but I will only be happy if I am released from my timeshare AND I am charged appropriately for the services that were provided.

Desired Outcome

I want this company to do as promised and get me released from my timeshare and I want them to submit to me and the Revdex.com an itemized bill explaining what the $3,300 I spent was for since there are no lawyers involved, they send no mail on my behalf, all they do is email me and send me a letter to print and mail at my own expense.

I spoke to the client today regarding his issues with the program. There were some misunderstanding on how the program works. I explained everything in full detail so the client knows what to expect from here on out. We have had this client for three months now, and we have a twelve month contract with him, in which he wants us to continue for him until the timeshare is cancelled. The client was super nice and understanding. We also DO clean up the credit if needed as well, which I explained to him. The client is happy now! If there are any other questions, feel free to call our office and ask for the Director Of Operations, and he will assist you!

Today I spoke with Jeremy P, Director of Operations at Helping Timeshare Owners and we discussed the process and efforts they're making to get me out of my timeshare. The complaints I voiced were due to a lack of communication and understanding on both sides and that has been resolved. I am looking forward to continue the business relationship we have and I'm happy with where things stand.

I thank GOD I found this great company to help me dispute my time share.. I greatly appreciate their support through out the entire process.. and now I am very pleased with results.. I highly recommend their services to everyone interested in removing their time share.. Thank so much for everything

Thank you for your kind feedback! We appreciate your business!!

Finally, a group that helps the "little people". We were with an extremely large timeshare company in Southern California. We got no where with pleading our case with them. Then someone told about Helping Timeshare Owners, Inc. Our case worker was wonderful. Answered all questions and would encourage us to "just wait" for the next communication. Less than one year later, we are free of the timeshare. Thank you so much.

Thank you for your kind review!! We are glad we could help!!

We signed up with Helping Timeshare Owners in July 2016, they promised to help us get rid of our timeshare and told us the process would take about a year and if they cannot help us we would get our money back. Within a year we were free from our timeshare, we even got a phone call and documents from the timeshare management saying we no longer own the timeshare. To make things better, they removed the negative report from the credit bureaus. I highly recommend Helping Timeshare Owners, LLC.

I canceled my timeshare during rescission period but the post office made a mistake and even dough I had the certified mail receipt, the timeshare decided to go ahead with the process anyways. I signed two contracts with Helping Timeshare Owners and paid them $2000 in order to get rid of my timeshare and recover $6000 timeshare deposit on September, 2016. A case manager named Cindy C was taking care of case. After sending the second notice to the timeshare, Cindy stopped answering my emails and phone calls. I called costumer service three times and leaved messages with the receptionist asking for a call back. After a few weeks I called one more time and I was told that She was not longer with the company and that someone else was taking care of her cases. I leaved my phone number and my email so I could be reached back but no one ever reached me. I recently remember the name of the person that I initially talked to, Jeremy P, and I emailed him requesting my money back on 11/25/2017. As of today, I haven't hear from him yet. I still get phone calls offering me specials and services related to my timeshare membership and bills from Travel Matrix. I attached one above. It has been more that a year since I signed these contracts with Helping Timeshare Owners. I would like to get my money back.

Desired Outcome

The contracts stipulate that if Client does not get a cancellation within the Term, Client will be refunded 100% of all fees paid.

This was a tricky situation. The client sent in her rescission letter to the resort, but accidentally sent it to the wrong address so the resort did not honor her letter. We helped her write a new rescission letter to try to get the resort to honor it. Our company and the client waited for a few months to see what the resort would do. Since she did not receive anything. We signed her up in September 2016 to try this as a consumer rights case, and unfortunately the case went passed our time frame by a couple months. We would have no problem at all refunding the client since the case went past the contract term. I spoke to the client and let her know we will be releasing her from our contract, and refunding her right away. I hope this information helps and clears things up. The client can call the office and ask for Jeremy P if she has any further questions. Thank you!!

We used Helping Timeshare Owners to help us void a contract with Wyndham. They were succesful and our contract was cancelled by Wyndham. They were easy to work with and they stayed in contact with us throughout the procedure. Thanks HTSO.

You are very welcome Jerry, thank you again for the review!!

I have Contacted this company to cancel my timeshare but since I filled a bankruptcy I don't need this service anymore and need my money back.
I have signed up with this program to cancel my timeshare membership on 4/21/17. Then They have assigned a case manager for my case. On may 19th she has email me the first letter to send timeshare. I have printed that document and sent to timeshare. After that timeshare sent me a letter which I have attached on around June 15th.
Then In august I have decided to filled chapter 7 Bankruptcy and include timeshare with that. after the first letter I have communicated with this company only one time and that time they send me a letter and asking is this a good time to send the second letter. Then I have reply to them no need to take any further action and I am going to file a bankruptcy and would like to talk about refund. I have send this email on August 11th. After that these people never answer my call for several days and finally they transfer my case to person called "Beth".
She told me even you include this with bankruptcy there is no guarantee you can get out of this and I have no problem with refund your money but I will hold the case until you confirm. Then I have filed my Bankruptcy around 2 months ago and two weeks ago I have received a confirmation from my lawyer saying they are willing to take my timeshare back.

after that I have contacted this company again to inform them there is no any action need from your side and we can talk about the refund. I have called them more than 15 time and send several emails but they never answer or email me back. only receptionist answer my call and always put me on hold for 15-30 min saying she (beth) is in a call or meeting. no matter what time you call she will say beth is in a call. That call looks like never end before she never ever call me back or reply to my emails.

Then last Friday (10/13/17) finally someone answer my call because I bug them all the time. Then said beth is in a call and she has done everything regarding your case and she will call you today. (10/13/17). Even that day she never call or email then I call them on Monday morning then finally she (beth) answered and said they need to go through the time they have spent and everything very clear recorded from their end. I said that I fine do what ever you have to do and finish this. Then she said she need to send this to another department. Then I ask she "ok. well then when you going to reply me on this" then she said she will leave today (10/16/17) early and if that department reply before she leaves she will call me back. but ever since again she never reply to my email or answer my phone calls. receptionist always says shes on call please hold the line even I have wait 30 min she never answer. Then when I call back receptionist will take the note (she has taken more than 10 notes from me now). and that is it. no action after the note. I paid this people $2477. And only thing they have done prepare the 1st letter. I have already attached that. And this is a one of the ridiculous company I have ever worked and they have never even apologies.

Desired Outcome

I need the refund form these company and they are wasted my time more than what ever the time they have spent with this.

This client has a tricky situation. He signed up to cancel his timeshare, and while in the process he started personal bankruptcy proceedings. His Attorney did not know if the client could include the timeshare in the bankruptcy at the time. Once his Attorney told him he could indeed include the timeshare, there was no need for our service. Because we have a 365 day contract with the client, we wanted to make sure our services were no longer needed for sure. I spoke to the client and explained our contract, and also the refund policy. We are giving this client a full refund based on the fact that there is nothing left for our company to do for him. We have emailed him the release letter, and will be sending him the refund once received. If the client has any further questions, he was told he can call me, Jeremy P, Director Of Operations, if needed! We hope this helps!

Customer Response

Based on our conversation after this complain they agreed to give me full refund. Thank you for the quick response Jeremy. Also last week I have received my refund check. I would like to close this case and thank you for solving this issue.

This company "Helping Timeshare Owners, LLC" has helped my family and I get out of the timeshare nightmare. We were trapped in two different timeshare contracts that were a heavy weight on our bank accounts. We found HTO online and they were able to save us. They deliver the service that they promise and are confident about the successful outcome the make you anticipate. The staff has been highly professional and patient with us while working on our case. The fee charged was very reasonable compared to what many other companies were asking. We are very happy with the result and now have peace of mind. Thank you HTO. You truly are a life saver.

Helping Timeshare Owners Response

Thank you for your kind review! We are glad we could help. It was a pleasure!

This company has just left a negative mark on my credit and now I get no responses from their staff.
I paid $3,192 to this company to help me get rid of my timeshares. My timeshares were repossessed due to nonpayment (I stopped paying for them as advised by this company) this is how I was releaved of them. Now I have an involuntary repossession for them on my credit. I have had issues from the beginning with my Case Manager, Chelsea responding to my emails and following through on things that she promises to do. I attempted to reach out to someone above her but never got anywhere I was only assigned a new case manager after I told Chelsea that I no longer wanted her on my case. But by this time I received a letter from the timeshare stating that my account was inactivated due to nonpayment. In the end, my timeshare has been repossessed due to nonpayment (not due to anything that Chelsea did or this company did) and I now have an involuntary repossession on my credit report. Which I am now dealing with Miranda who is not getting back to me regarding this. I am paying $10 a month for them to have access to my credit to work on getting the repossessions off and I emailed Miranda on June 26th with documents from t he credit bureaus and asked her to confirm receipt and I received no response. So on July 12th I sent another email and let her know that it was unbusinesslike and I paid a lot of money to this company for their service. Miranda responded right away appologizing and stating that they switched companies and she did not have a response for me when I sent the first email and that is why she did not respond and that I would be hearing back from her regarding my case. Here we are again, August 19th and I haven't heard a word back from her.
My experience with this company and their staff has been horrible and I would recommend that you do not pay them all of this money they are more of a scam than the companies which are actually selling the timeshares are.
This company also advertised in the initial paperwork I had to fill out that they provide you with a free 1 year membership to Travel To Go (valued at $7,999.00 according to this company). When I attempted to utilize this benefit I was told that they didn't offer this any longer. This was one of the reasons I chose this company over another I had spoken to. False advertisement is what they do best.
They took my money and my case remains incomplete. Once they take your money they forget who you are.

Desired Outcome

I feel this company has made my situation worse. I feel that they need to refund my money due to false advertisement and not follow through with anything that they say. They are a scam.

In this clients case, the resorts did cancel her contract, but made it look like it was for nonpayment. This is typical, because the resort will not admit guilt. I spoke to the client and we agreed to refund half of the fee she paid to us sent by check priority, as well as paying for the credit monitoring fees to fix her credit up. I apologized for the communication problem as well. This is not the standard for our company, and we always return or answer phone calls. We deal with this situation a lot from these resorts. They pressure the client in to the contract with lies to begin with, so we deal with the backlash. We are also going to make sure we remove the derogatory mark from the clients credit, that way the client can walk away free and clear from the timeshare and the debt that comes with it. The client agreed to let us finish up. If the client has any further questions or issues, please call here and ask for Jeremy P, the Director Of Operations, and he will take care of the client. Thank you!
