I have had a really negative experience with Action Cooling and Heating of FtMyers
This bad relationship began in July My wife and I arrived at our Punta Gorda condo to find the A/C had diedWe went to the phone book and called the first HVAC company alphabeticallyAction came out and decided that our entire unit needed to be replacedThey quoted us an extremely high price, like $7,Since we were only going to be in Florida for a week, we didn't have time to shop for better deals or check reviews, but we did negotiate a lower-- but still exorbitant--price of $6,for a middle of the road unit
At a maintenance check in November 2014, the Action technician informed us that he found mold in the unit and that it would spread and cause disease if left unfixedHe recommended an ultraviolet light system for $2,899, but he let me have for just under $2,
In January I had Action check the system again because the UV light was outThe technician informed me that I had corrosion on the coils, probably caused by the duct work in the attic collapsingHe said he could redo the duct work Whereas he would normally charge $9,000, he agreed to do it for $7,Or he could used a lesser duct material for $5,
Finally smelling a rat, I had an independent HVAC company inspect my unitHe said that I had been woefully overcharged for the original installation, perhaps by as much as $1,In addition, he saw no evidence of mold anywhere and he saw no need for the $2,UV systemHe found no serious corrosion on the coils, nor did he see any collapsed duct work after inspecting the attic
In the opinion of the independent inspector, technicians from Action Cooling and Heating work on salary and on commission, so they push expensive but unnecessary products and services on unsuspecting customers Unfortunately, some--like me--believed the technicians were acting in the best interests of the customers, when they were merely pumping up profits for themselves and their company

I had a service call from Action Cooling and Heating on Monday July and was totally dissatisfied with the service!! It was 80% sales pitch and at best 20% serviceNo wonder the cost is $ I could sense the effort to sell and not to service and I engaged another company to follow upThese guys are full of baloney and I am not their suckerI will cancel the service agreementMy rating is as low as possible

Chase came to my condo to service my system and was extremely thorough with his workI must say, as a single woman, just when I was beginning to lose faith in crooked HVAC contractors, Chase completely changed that! Thanks so much! Would recommend to anyone in search of a good service company!

Our AC unit wasn't cooling as well as we would likeIt was maintaining a comfortable temperature but our electric bill was high from constant runningWe received a flyer from action cooling and heating and had them come to do an inspectionAfter them leaving our AC is now no longer working! We have two small children and our house went from degrees to degrees after a visit from this company! We have contracted another AC company to replace our system now! Action didn't even give us prices or a plan to move forwardI don't know exactly what happened but I can say our AC was cooling our house and after their visit it is no longer working at all

We are so pleased we found Anthony and we really have had a good time with him showing why we REALY need a new Air conditioning- we are having allergies and bad Electrick Bills !!! He is a real great gentlemen and is getting the help we need for us!!!Wow!! Are we Happy we got him to help us!!

Its clear harassmentI've requested to be put on their "Do not call list", I've blocked their number, only to get another call from a different number, I've ignored the phone, and they call again ten minutes laterIt's out of control and needs to stop I don't need their service, I will NEVER use their service and I've told them thatEvery single day, they call meIt's harrassment
