This customer sent a rebuttal to our resolution, however we do not feel that we are required to do anything further to satisfy this customerWe have tried to explain the terms of the enrollmentWe explained that our terms and conditions which indicate that our variable rate is based on the market, cost, and other determining factorsThis variable rate fluctuates with the marketWe do try to keep our rates as competitive as possible, however this is still a variable rateWe sent this customer a one-time courtesy refundWe feel that we have been compliant and at this point there is nothing further that we can offer this customer

Upon thorough review of the enrollment, we had originally submitted the cancelation to the utility the first time the customer contacted usApparently the PSE&G rejected the request and it went unnoticed until the customer contact us againThe electric account already canceled and went back to the utility and the gas account will go back 04/**/We did a rate analysis and will refund the difference to what the customer would have paid to PSE&G for their supply chargesWe will also refund the difference if April’s final gas supply charge are higher than PSE&GWe have reached out to customer by email with the details of the rate analysis and refund information

This customer enrolled on our monthly variable rate plan in November of via a signed contractAs stated in our Terms and Conditions, our variable rate is based on the market, cost, supply and demand, and other determining factorsHowever, during the winter, the cost of energy skyrocketed, causing our rates to increase as wellBecause customers were having difficulty reaching our Customer Service Department, we expanded our CSD over the past few weeks and have representatives working around the clock to respond to all customer calls, messages, and inquiries
This customer's electricity account has been cancelled as of 03/**/and the gas account will be cancelled as of 04/**/with out any penalty
As a one-time courtesy a rate adjustment will be sent to this customer
A copy of this resolution has been sent to this customer

HIKO promissed me a refund check of $187.28, which I never recieved, and I would like them to re-bill me on a different rate, and also an explanation of how did they come up with $Again last month they have charged me 26cents pkHI would like both of my bills to be rebilled at a newer rate, PPL associate told me that suppliers are doing this

On 04/**/we spoke with this customer and explained the rate plan and the increased ratesHis cancellation was confirmedThe natural gas account will be cancelled as of 05/**/and the electricity account will be cancelled as of 04/**/with out any penalty
As per customer's request, we have done a one-time courtesy refundAlso, a rate reduction will be added to his account for his final bill
A copy of this resolution has been sent to this customer

I'd like to pay for Hike LLC bill/service but I I want to pay reasonable price , equal to the previous bills that was about $per kWh I want Hike to send me new bill with corrected price then I will pay for my bill

However, I have received both an electronic and written inquiry from an Investigator with the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs, Office of Consumer Protection
("Division") and will be complying with their requestThey currently have an open investigation against HIKO and will be looking into their business practicesClearly, I am not the only one complainingEnough people seem to have complained that an investigation has been opened with the state of NJ

Upon thorough review of the enrollment, The customer’s Web Sign Up through *** was for HIKO’s Variable rate contractUnfortunately, many of the rates advertised on this website are not up to date especially for supply companies that only offer variable ratesVariable rates increase at any moment without notice because they are subject to market conditions, in that retail prices fall and rise due to supply and demand principles on a daily basesPeriods of extreme weather, such as this unusually cold winter can cause substantial price fluctuationsAs opposed to a Fixed rate contract where the rate will remain the same for a set period of time
As per energizect.com, the webpage has a Disclaimer which informs customers of the following information: “The offer information on this website is provided solely for educational and informational purposes and may not represent a complete and/or accurate listing of all offers in the Connecticut marketplaceAs with any contract, you should call individual suppliers to confirm offers, terms, and conditions before enrolling.”

Good Morning,
This customer filed the same complaint with the New York Public Service CommissionWe resolved this complaint through the NY PUC on 04/**/14.
On 04/**/I called and spoke with *** *** and explained to him that he authorized enrollment for the variable rate plan and how the rate fluctuates on a monthly basisAlso explained the rate increase that happened in the winter monthsAdditionally their usage doubled from one month to another causing his charges to increase as well.
We have done everything in our power to settle this with the customerWe feel that we have been complaint and at this point there is nothing further that we can offer this customer.

After reviewing customer’s complaint, terms of enrollment, and HIKO charges, HIKO has issued a one-time courtesy refund to this customer.
The customers accounts were cancelled without penalty and returned to the utility for supply on 4/**/
