In an effort to resolve this complaint on amicable terms we have provided the customer with their requested resolution.Our review of the account in question found that the customer made a good faith effort to cancel their membership within the allowable time in which to receive a refund, and thus that refund has been processedThe customer can expect to see these funds reflected on their credit card statement within the next 10-business daysWe would like to apologize that our service was not able to provide the amount of leads to this customer that they had expected but wish them and their company all the best moving forward

At this time we have traded several messages back and forth with this customer but have yet to reach one another to discuss this complaintWe will continue our efforts in reaching the customer and hope to reach a resolution in the very near future

Prior to receiving this complaint our customer service department was able to contact this customer and address their concernsA settlement was reached, a refund has been provided, and at this time the customer's account has been cancelled in full per their request

We have been in touch with this customer and were able to hold a productive conversation regarding not only their concerns, but the nature of our service as a wholeWe have apologized for the confusion that lead to this complaint, were able to amend the outstanding balance that was associated with their account, and although their account has been cancelled per their request, we look forward to the opportunity of working with this customer again in the future under account settings that will better serve their business needs

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: The business has not tried to get in contact with me without failI called a few weeks ago and spoke to a representativeI was told complaints are adddressrd in order and that it would take a while to speak with someone about my angstThe rep then tried to offer a settlement, however I told her I would think aboutToday, a rep called (conveniently before I received the email alerting me to HA's response) to speak about my accountI wasn't able to talk to herOverall, Home Advisor has not tried to contact meThis situation is another example of their lies and manipulationFor these reasons I respectfully reject their statementSincerely, Christy Abram

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2015/06/24) */ We have been able to reach this customer several times, but they have been preoccupied with a busy schedule each time and have been unable to discuss the complaint We have an appointment to discuss their concerns tomorrow morning, 6/24/15, and will provide an update to this complaint's resolution at that time

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to meWe had to pay $they waived the late fees and collection fees Sincerely, [redacted] ***

Prior to receiving this complaint, our customer service department was able to address this customer and apply the refund for the amount in questionWe found that once the customer's cancellation was finalized, the refund was processed within our turnaround time of 10-business days and that the funds should have been reflected in their account no more than days after this complaint was filedWe apologize for any confusion regarding their potential lead flow during the sales process and would like to assure the customer that the salesperson's manager was made aware of this situation

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Sincerely, [redacted] ***I submitted extensive documentation to Home Advisor regarding this complaintI did send pictures but when time stamped pictures were requested I compliedI also sent pictures of the room before the work was started After meeting with the contractor, he sent me a text message detailing the work he planned to do and the price he chargedI agreed by text messageThis to both the contractor and me constituted an agreement/contractI printed out these text messages and sent them to Jonathan, at Home Advisor, who was handling the complaintI called Jonathan who said he had received the copy of the texts and found the document understandable and helpfulI will also restate that when Home Advisor requested another contractor give us a bid on redoing the work, I complied even though doing so was difficult the week of ChristmasI sent Jonathan two bidsI always called or e-mailed to make certain my communications were received were receivedI spent many hours phoning, e-mailing and gathering information to provide to Home AdvisorWhen the contractor renegade on his agreement to refund our money after we provided him with additional bids to prove we would not just pocket the money, Home Advisor informed us we were now on our own to seek a solutionI asked that after all my time, effort and documentation, that Home Advisor give me documentation that they found my complaint credible which Jonathan had he had, Home Advisor refused, claiming they needed to protect this unethical contractors credibilityI was devastated that after all the many weeks of working on this complaint, I was just droppedI think the least this company can do is give the consumer proof that they indeed found my complaint credible which would help my case in small claims court.A complaint was filed against the Revdex.com in Massachusetts against this contractorHe replied that Jonathan had communicated to him that we were short of money and he thinks we just want free workWhat a misstatementI told Jonathan that since it was Christmas, my daughter didn't have the money to spend another $to have the room redone until after the holidaysI certainly did not mean to imply money was tight for any reason other than ChristmasAnd by no means do we want free work just a good job which my pictures demonstrate that we did not get.I am deeply disappointed that Home Advisor decided to protect this contractor's privacy and ignore our efforts and not provide any of the investigation findingsThat is all I askedI think you can tell that this contractor will go to court gnd grossly misrepresent the truth

Although our records do not support the time of charges presented by this customer, we do have information to provide and would like to state that their resolution as requested has been met.Our system shows that this customer was only ever billed for the leads that were generated were to their account prior to cancellation, and while there may have been a delay in these being processed as we only bill once per week, the outstanding balance in question was accrued as a result of charge reversals filed by the customer with their bankGiven this course of events along with short span of time with which this customer was a member of our service, we would like to use this opportunity to inform the customer that we have since removed that balance.At this time there is no further balance owed, there will not be any future charges, and the account has been cancelled in full per the customer's request

Although this complainant is a party other than the account holder with our company, we were able to reach the account holder and have resolved their concernsA settlement was reached, a refund was provided, and at this time their account has been cancelled in full per their request

Though we have not been in touch with this customer regarding this complaint, we have processed their request to cancel the account in fullWe apologize for any frustration that the customer may have experienced during this process, but at this time we can confirm that their membership has been terminated with no further communication needed

We have not reached out to this consumer as their complaint is in regards to unwanted contact, but we do have information to provideIn order to receive communications from local service professionals through either our app or website, consumers must first complete and submit their service request and agree to the terms and conditions thereofWhile we apologize for any confusion that may have resulted through the use of our app, we can assure both this consumer as well as the general public that any contact information provided to our service is not passed along to service professionals without the expressed consent of the consumer that provided itTo avoid any further unwanted contact to this consumer, we have at this time placed their information on our "Do Not Call" list

While we did not make contact with this customer regarding this complaint, we do have information to provide.Prior to receiving this complaint, our customer service department had reviewed the account history and determined that customer had made a sufficient effort in good faith to cancel their account due to a discrepancy in expectations for membership with our serviceThe account has since been cancelled per the customer's request with no further balance owed

Since receiving this complaint our customer service department was able to contact this customer and a settlement arrangement was made in regards to the funds in questionCredit was applied to the account, a final payment was made, there is no further balance associated with the account, and the customer's membership has been cancelled in full as requested

We have been in touch with this consumer and were able bring about an amicable conclusion to the concerns listed in this complaintAs a result of our established Problem Resolution process a settlement has been reached and their feedback has been posted to our site as requested

We have made further attempts at reaching this customer without success; the direct contact information for the party handling this complaint has been provided to the customer in multiple emails, and should we receive any return communications from them we will provide an update as warranted

We have not yet been able to reach this customer to discuss their concerns but have left multiple voice messages that include the contact information for the party handling this complaintWe remain optimistic that we will be able to bring an amicable resolution to their concerns and will provide an update when available
