Tremendously Poor Sales Service
1 star is too much for the POOR sales service received as we spent less than two - four minutes total time (If even it was two minutes of face time) interacting with the sales representative. Arrived at Honda Freehold, NJ after spending many hours and days researching vehicles on internet for possible purchase. Advised representative we were two months out from purchase for teenager; and wanted to have the teenager drive the vehicle to assess the comfort of the vehicle, driver visibility, and general feel. But first, before arriving at appointment, received a call advising the initially vehicle of interest was sold, then received a text it was not, then when we arrived we were advised it’s sale was in process - in retrospect, red flags already - showing the left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing. At the Honda Freehold, NJ sales rep was advised the vehicle we were interested in and the rep went to get the keys... we waited in lot. Sales rep returns advises he can’t find keys and then advises they have only 5 sales persons on duty and can’t show too many vehicles - yet not one vehicle has even been opened to look into. Also, indicated he had other customers waiting. At this point, this dealership was not going to benefit from any immediate or future purchase. But before leaving, mgmt was made aware of issue and apologized. While making the complaint to mgmt It was observed that there were no other customers waiting service.

Off to next dealership - both Freehold Nissan and Hyundai were attentive and informative. Reviewed three vehicles in total at these two dealerships - no issues as they were both extremely helpful.

We replaced the battery in the remote and then tried to open the door, the door still would not open and notified the customer it needed a motor for the doorAfter we told him the total repair would cost $he declined to have it repairedAfter receiving the Revdex.com complaint we called the customer and as a good will gesture, we offered to split the bill 50% for the repair needed [redacted] declined the offer and told us he will contact his attorneyWe have acted in good faith to resolve this complaint and to satisfy the customer

The customer had a windshield replaced to years ago from a outside vendor not Honda of freeholdWhen the vehicle came in for service it already had tape on the both sides of the front windshield holding on the moldings around the windshieldOur car wash is designed as a side roller only, it does not have a horizontal brush that goes over the top of the body or windshield areaThe molding issue is a issue that must be addressed by the company who installed the windshield prior.if you have any further questions please feel free to contact me at [redacted] Richard J [redacted] GM

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Nobody contacted me with any attempt to resolve my complaintBefore timing belt work I had no noisesAfter timing belt work I was left with two broken mounts and a cracked bracket which I had repaired at a cost of approximately $dollarsThe very (driver side) mount that's disconnected to access the timing belt was broken causing severe vibration that broke the front mount and broke a support bracket under the vehicle Regards, [redacted]

The customer credit score was below the minimum needed to get approved from Honda FinancialWe explained this to him and offered him alternate financing that he did not want to partake in

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: The explanation from the business is incorrectWhen my car was taken in for service the wheel assembly was perfectly fineWhen the service rep tried to remove the tire for rotation the entire assembly (where the lug nut) goes in came offThis happened while they were trying to remove the tireThe incorrect or damaged threading is the reasoning your service person gave me but they actually broke the part that the nut fits in and hence it was irreparableSince this damage happened while performing the work it is businesses responsibility to fix thisI had come in for$tire rotation and instead you have imposed a $service on my vehicle which was perfectly in working condition before my car went into your garageIt is only fair that the business takes responsibility for this damage and pay for it Regards, [redacted] ***

I called the Honda sales depttonight and spoke with KarinaI told her I had months on my existing Honda lease and asked her about returning it early and leasing another Accord, a She said she would speak with a sales manager and put me on holdAfter mins, she get back on the phone and said that I could get the lease on the Accord with $1,down and $ per month and they would take care of the remaining payments on the leaseI said great and that I would come down to the dealershipAs I was driving there I called Karina and asked how much extra a lease would be for an EXLI currently had an EX and and the Prices quoted to me was for another EXShe asked me to hold on so she could speak with the sales managerAfter a few minutes she got back on the phone and said that the sales manager had ran the numbers and said the monthly price would be $month, still with $1,downI said great and that I was on my way inWhen I arrived at the dealership a salesperson asked if they could help meI explained that I had spoken with Karina and asked to speak with herThe salesperson went to get her and returned with some documents that Karina had provided him with based on our conversation and the sales manager's numbersAs we spoke, Karina stopped by and wished me good luck and shook my handThe salesperson took some add'l information and went in to the sales managers' officeA sales manager returned, his name was Joe K, and he took over from the salesperson and then the problems startedHe said the EXL would run be $per month instead of the $that I was quotedI said no, and that I wanted the price that I was quotedThen he wrote down on a piece of paper $per monthI told him that I was quoted $per month and that's why I came to the dealershipHe went back to his office, came back after a few minutes and said that I still had months on my lease and that they couldn't make the dealI was very angry and said that Karina knew this and that the sales manager she had spoken with and ran the numbers had no problem paying this off and was giveing me the car for $per monthHe apologized and said they couldn't do the deal and didn't know why they quoted me the other price and why they said they would pay off the carI told him to call Karina and bring her over and to find out who the sales manager was that Karina was working with, but he wouldn'tHe said that would be unprofessionalI told him that HE was unprofessionalHe put his hand out and said no hard feelingsI told him there was hard feelings and didn't shake his handI also told him that I would make a complaint and I willI tried to call Karina but she was gone for the dayI will call her back tomorrowI will never shop at this dealership again, and I will never, ever, purchase or lease a Honda againAt every opportunity, I will let people know about this dealershipI have leased Camrys for my wife down the block from Honda at ToyotaAnd, I have never had a single problem with themPrices quoted over the phone are the same prices given when I get to the dealershipIt's like night and day between the two dealershipsToday, 8/5, I tried to get in touch with KarinaInstead, I was given her manager Yelica TShe said that she was the one who quoted the $price for the EXShe also said the price and deal is subject to the value of the car and its conditionThye car is in MINT condition and they did say they would take care of my payments on a recorded lineThey are now "doing a dance"I told Yelica to read the horrible reviews on Yelp about this dealershipI said this was a classic bait and switchDO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIPThey are all CON ARTISTSRead the reviews and judge for yourselfThis review would have zero stars or a minus star if I could
