Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 12270239, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below This proposal is unacceptable for the following reasons:I would incur an immediate $4,financial loss, and a total loss of $8,or more The proposal would require that I am willing to take this financial loss If ALL of the following conditions are met:--IF can find a car at Honda of Slidell that meets my original requirements and verify independently that it meets my requirements--IF I can do this in business days (this dealership is closed on Sundays in respect for Christian values)--If the proposed replacement's price before tax, title, license, etcis approximately $11,(highly improbable) OR I am willing and able to absorb an additional financial loss of of at least $3, This proposal treats me as if I am bringing a car in for trade, to purchase a new car Furthermore, it implies that it is my fault and my financial responsibility for believing the salesman's assertion that the car did NOT have a variable transmission This proposal implies that this situation is my fault This proposal violates the mission statement and values listed of Honda of Slidell as well as the mission statement and values espoused by the owner, Mike S***, Mike S [redacted] Automotive of Denver Colorado Honda of Slidell's website states: "We will do everything it takes to get you that model equipped with the features you desire." Mike S***'s website states "Mike S [redacted] will provide Premium Motor cars and services that exceed customers [sic] expectations throughout the consideration, purchase, ownership, service, and repurchase experience"with core values listed as "superior customer service, teamwork, integrity, commitment to employees, safety, excellence in innovation".Ironically, this is exactly the poor treatment I expected from a car dealership, to be misinformed, to be treated as if their error is my fault, to be treated as if I did something wrong, and to be forced to keep a car I was sold under pretenses or take a significant financial loss I did nothing wrong There is one more further piece of irony: I was required to buy a coupon book that cost over $for service and maintenance when I purchased this car, so I will either have to take a loss on the coupon book or continue to deal with Honda of Slidell to recoup that cost.Sincerely, [redacted] Regards, Robin Morris

We are coving the cost of the transmission repair which was approved today The repairs are being performed at a local Jeep dealership as they are the best equipped to handle such They tell us they should be completed by this weekend or Monday at the latest We will call the customer [redacted] ***

We were previously contacted by Mr [redacted] regarding this concern Unfortunately, the items he is requesting repair of are not covered under the extend service contract on the vehicle We attempted to trade Mr [redacted] out of the vehicle and into another but could not agree on financial numbers that would allow us to do so In reviewing the contracts, Mr [redacted] did purchase a warranty Not all components are covered on the plan he purchased We want a good experience for all our customers However, Honda of Slidell cannot absorb the cost to repair the components he is asking us to do We did advise Mr [redacted] that he could cancel the warranty and get a prorated refund for any balance due applied to the vehicle loan.We would be willing to look at trading him out in the future if he still is interested[redacted] General Sales ManagerHonda of Slidell

I am familiar with Mr [redacted] concern He and I spoke about the tint issue last week We cannot take back the vehicleI told Mr [redacted] that Honda of Slidell will however have the current tint removed and reapplied with a color and style to his liking at our cost We will make the arrangements with a locally Slidell tint vendor with whom we have a good relationship with Or, we can cut Mr [redacted] a check for $and he can have a vendor of his choice have the tint removed and or replaced He can reach me at ###-###-#### should he decide to pursue one of these options Thanks [redacted] General Sales Manager

Mr [redacted] did purchase a Mercury Grand Marquis for $5,from our dealership He visited the store a couple of times to look at the car before purchasing the Mercury on 11/21/ The vehicle was priced accordingly considering the year, mileage and condition It is impossible for us to know the complete history of a pre-owned automobile We did provide a copy of the vehicles Carfax history report to Mr [redacted] and allowed him to both test drive and inspect the vehicle (over a couple of days) to his satisfaction prior to the purchase I cannot provide a repaint of the car as Mr [redacted] is requesting I would be happy to attempt to set up a referral discount with a body shop we have used in the past for him if he wants to have the areas he mentions repainted at his expenses He may contact me if he is interested at the number below Regards [redacted] General Sales Manager Honda of Slidell ###-###-####

I complained multiple times and each time I was told they were sticking to their higher price So far I have not gotten any communication from the dealer apologizing or refunding the difference They could have mailed me a response I have not yet received, but I checked my e-mail and have nothing there Regards, [redacted]

To whom it may concern:Automobile vehicle sales were not eligible for the "sales tax holiday" in question. The State makes no provision for any reduction or credit for taxes on automobile purchases on our around the purchase date the customer inquired about. Nor have they

I do not know why I did not see the paint problem except it was raining the two days I was there .it is not something you notice right away but if I had seen the paint problem I would not have purchased the car.the only thing that was pointed out was a window sticker for etching the glass windows, that I was to find out later would cost $i told them it was a deal breaker and they cut it $i wanted the car so I accepted but now I wish ii had walked and later found out that there is no state law that they said required it, but only a law to offer it ,you can buy your own kit for$20.they may not have noticed the paint problemexcept the persn etching the glass but if they did I cant imagine them trying to sell it on there lot it is that bad

Sorry for any confusion our previous response may have caused. We absolutely strive to the best customer experience possibleHowever often find it difficult to achieve from hard charging, price comparison, negotiating, penny pinching customers who pit dealer against dealer across the southern US as *** *** did. *** *** knows he receive an unbelievable discounted deal on the hottest Honda product (Odyssey) and accepted and signed final contracts that surmised all the negations. Had *** *** disagreed with the numbers prior to our acceptance of the contract he should have made us aware of such. That way we could of accepted or declined the agreement as well. Additionally, the specific Odyssey he purchased was extremely rare and in limited supply. He knows the sales price he received went 100% against the basics of economics that as supply decreases, price goes up!Honda of Slidell lost money selling the van and still more transferring the limited supply Odyssey in from another state. Additionally, we now have assumed all the risk of caring and retailing an extremely high priced pilot (the trade-in) that is still in inventory at this time. We are not asking to renegotiate from *** *** or ask that he pay us for what we now feel in hindsight was too much of a discounted deal. Contracts were signed, regardless of what was previously discussed during negotiations. This goes for the sale of the floor mats as well. What we would really like is for *** *** to consider selling cars for us as he is one heck of a negotiator! We don't know how he talked us into the numbers he did! We acknowledge the entire experience could have been smoother for both parties. If we did not provide a clean vehicle at delivery, we would be more than happy to have the odyssey detailed for *** ***. If there are additional features he has questions about, we can also demonstrate them at that timePlease understand *** ***, with full respect, you got an unbelievable deal on a fantastic vehicle! I spoke with ** *** the week of July and she brought the car in to our dealership today 7/25. There is no excuse for our lack of followup to her initial concern. We gave her some information in an effort to trade her out of the vehicle if she is that unsatisfied with the
corolla.
