We've thoroughly reviewed this complaint and have the below findings:On 5-9-I received a Field Service Dispatch from Sunrun in regards to Mr [redacted] ’s roof leak We sent out service technicians to take a look at Mr [redacted] ’s roof leak on 5-11- While on sight our service technicians noticed that there was an pre existing open nail hole on the roof, this was right underneath the area that had a lot of brittle caulking When we went into the attic to investigate further, we found that you can actually see light coming from outside into the attic, due to the brittle caulking While on sight, our technicians applied some henrys silicone sealant to nail hole as a temporary fix until the customer could repairThis was in the area of the affected roof leakWe determined that the leak is from the flashing connecting the two roof types – not where our solar installation occurred o Photos attached show evidence of leak from this area o Photos attached show evidence of no leaks for the area under solar We

Customer service is lousyIt is like pulling a tooth to get a response from this company! We were promised our project to be completed before the June deadline to be included on the teir pricing program Our project was started in late AprilThey had the panels on my roof within a weekIt looked hopefulThen it came to a dead stop We had final inspection scheduled for the 23rd of JuneIt was pushed to the 26thThe inspector showed upHe found there was no perit for the installed GMAHe failed the inspectionHorizon says it was the inspector's responsibility to bring the permit with himUpon talking to the city, I find this is NOT the caseAnd the permit wasn't filed until the 27th of June I am getting conflicting stories I have personally called the inspection dept., and got an inspection scheduled myself

To begin, we have been experiencing issues with this company from the install Equipment was placed in locations that were incorrect and resulted in several poorly coordinated appointmentsAfter the install, my family found water bottles filled with urine dropped in the yardWe worked with them to resolve the install issue to have the inverter fail after approximately months of serviceI had to make several phone calls informing them of the system issues and weeks later finally had the inverter replaced and the system back upThe repair resulted in a very high Edison bill as this failure was during the summer and system production resulted in power pull from there gridAfter several more calls, my Edison bill was refunded and all was good again Now to the present issue that began over months ago in December I awoke to a large roof leak in my gameroom that was coming from several areas on the ceilingI reported it immediately and was contacted to coordinate an a

Repeated calls We have received calls repeatedly from Horizon Solar PowerThey claim that we requested a quote, or that they've spoken to our neighbors about getting solar powerWe have repeatedly told them that we are not interested, didn't request more information, and that we live in a military housing neighborhood so our neighbors wouldn't contact them eitherOur neighborhood has recently received solar power from another company contracted by the military housingWe are tired of receiving callsThe latest was on 5/12/at 1:pm EDTSome have been as late as 7:pm Eastern time

Cancelled my contract with Horizon Solar under the time period allowed and today found out that they tried to process my loan through HERO still Meet with [redacted] from Horizon Solar to have solar panels installed on our houseEnded up signing a contract Friday afternoon 7/with them for solar panelsWe where going to purchase them under the HERO programOn Saturday my wife was doing some research and found a better solar panel and wanted to look into cost of getting that type of panel installed on our houseSo we read over the contract from Horizon and found out we have business days to cancel our contractAlso while reading over the contract we found out that did not put into the contract any of the things we asked forAlso under the cancellation part of the contract they did not fill out all the information, the email part was blank, there was only a fax number, or an address of where to hand deliver the cancellation noticeSo on Sunday 7/17, at 843am I faxed in the c

We had another Horizon Solar empolyee knock on our door less than a week after I filed this complaint, so although I'm not convinced that we have been added to a "Do Not Knock" list as the company claims, I will chalk that up to a delayed response unless it happens again, in which case I will reopen my claimThe [redacted] office, with whom I also filed a claim, informed me that they are investigating multiple similar privacy violation claims against Horizon Solar and may take action against them, so hopefully the company will reform its practices one way or another Thanks to Revdex.com for its help in this matter

We had a an agreement with Greenspiire Solutions for solar installation May 23,They contacted Horizon Solar to complete the instillationHorizon did a credit check and a design revision was submitted since we changed our pool pump to be more energy efficientThis was accepted in June but the panels were not put on until July 22, We were told they it would take 2-weeks to get hooked up with SECThat was weeks ago through the hot summer usageSince then they had to do a second credit check (which ultimately negatively effects my credit score), and Horizon solar have absolutely refused to take our calls or return any call to discuss the continued delayThis is totally frustrating and unacceptable business practice as we sit with solar panels on our roof doing nothing for weeks

We listened to the sales pitch for solar panels for a $gift card as advertised when we signed upWe had a man visit our home for a long time while we were off work to see if the solar panels would help us save moneyThey weren't efficient enough to save us much and we still would have to use our electric company throughout the yearWe never received the gift card as advertised, and contacted the company multiple timesThey said they sent it and we should have received it by now, but we have notI believe this is a scam and I do not trust this company

The usage estimate during the Sales process was exactly that, an
estimateThis estimate was based on the data trends available which was the
properties usage at that timeChanges to usage patterns cannot be forecasted
unless the property owner communicates a plan to modify or create additional
consumptionEven if expected usage patterns could be accurately forecasted,
the actual usage patterns are completely out of the sales persons or Horizons
controlFor example, if the homeowner takes an extended vacation where there
is little usage, or has guests for an extended periodThat is why we state in
the agreement that is no other representations - If Horizon make this representation, practically
every Horizon installation will be misrepresentedThe system size Horizon generally recommends is a blend of ROI
where an increased size yields diminishing returns and utility mandates around
system sizingUnfortunately going back to the signed agreement, there is no
obligation for Horizon to add equipment to you home at no costHowever, Horizon
is happy to review and potentially add equipment at an extreme discountBest,
