You better go elsewhere for your Solar needsThey will lie and deceive you and not inform you well through the entire process We had one issue after another and the only communication updates we received were surveys - as if their internal surveys are all that mattered and not communicating and following through with their customerWe were told it would take about a month to get solar NopeWe were told we would get our rebate check when solar was installedNopeOur solar was delayed and blamed on SDGE even though we told Horizon WELL in advance that we had an opt out meter This delayed our install longer Of course - no communication as there was one delay after anotherWhen someone finally told me the check comes 3-weeks after PTO, that was a lie as well Oh sure, you'll get your check before your first bill, they said Today I followed up since it's been weeks and after they got my complaint - they sent me a Wform that I need to fill out and told me it will be another 3-weeks to get my checkGoing with Horizon was the worst mistake everDon't make the same mistake with your solar company!!

On 6/18/your representative *** *** visited our home and contracted a solar power installation As of today's date, nothing has been done nor have we received any communication from anyone at Horizon At the time of his visit we were promised a new entrance panel upgrade free of charge and a $"bonus" paid directly to us On September 12th I sent an email to *** *** giving your company weeks to install my solar Obviously, that has not been done I have contacted *** *** multiple times asking what the status of our installation was Each time I got another excuse as to why nothing had been done

Horizon Solar leased me a system in Jan They have not completed the installation as of May They keep passing the project off to this coordinator or on to the next oneNo one seems to know what they are doing.They claim SCE needs to do their install,,,it's been done

BAIT AND SWITCH, I SPOKE TO A SALES (***) AGENT THAT PROVIDED ME WITH A WRITTEN OFFER FOR SOLAR FOR MY HOME I OWNUPON ASKING FOR A BREAK DOWN OF THE #'S, *** WAS UNABLE TO PROVIDE ME WITH A COMPLETE BREAKDOWN OF THE SALE #'S WITHOUT A SO CALLED REBATE THAT I DIDN'T QUALIFY FOR AND FINANCING PLAN THEY WERE QUOTING ME FOR A PAYMENT I REPEATEDLY ASKED FOR A COMPLETE BREAKDOWN WHICH WAS ALWAYS MEET WITH MORE SALES LINGO TO AVOID MY REQUEST *** WAS NICE HOWEVER WAS UNABLE TO PRODUCE ANY #'S THAT I ASKED FOR SO I WAS REFERRED TO *** HERE TITLE WAS CUSTOMER ADVOCATE SPECIALISTWHICH JUST TURNED OUT TO BE A BARBIE DOLL VOICE WITH THE SAME RUN AROUND AS BEFORE, I ASKED HER NUMEROUS TIMES ABOUT#'S WITHOUT THIS TAX REBATE THEY KEEP THROWING IN THAT I DON'T QUALIFY FOR I FOUND OUT THREW MY OWN RESEARCH THAT THE SYSTEM THEY QUOTED ME ON DIDN'T PRODUCE THE AMOUNT OF ELECTRICITY MY HOME NEEDED FOR *** RE BUILT ME A SYSTEM THAT DID AND THE PRICE JUMPED FROM 22K TO $TO JUST

Customer service is lousyIt is like pulling a tooth to get a response from this company! We were promised our project to be completed before the June deadline to be included on the teir pricing program Our project was started in late AprilThey had the panels on my roof within a weekIt looked hopefulThen it came to a dead stop
We had final inspection scheduled for the 23rd of JuneIt was pushed to the 26thThe inspector showed upHe found there was no perit for the installed GMAHe failed the inspectionHorizon says it was the inspector's responsibility to bring the permit with himUpon talking to the city, I find this is NOT the caseAnd the permit wasn't filed until the 27th of June
I am getting conflicting stories
I have personally called the inspection dept., and got an inspection scheduled myself

Repeated calls
We have received calls repeatedly from Horizon Solar PowerThey claim that we requested a quote, or that they've spoken to our neighbors about getting solar powerWe have repeatedly told them that we are not interested, didn't request more information, and that we live in a military housing neighborhood so our neighbors wouldn't contact them eitherOur neighborhood has recently received solar power from another company contracted by the military housingWe are tired of receiving callsThe latest was on 5/12/at 1:pm EDTSome have been as late as 7:pm Eastern time

I provided my phone number to a representative to confirm an appointment he tried to set me up withThe sales rep never showed up for the appointmentI started getting calls from unfamiliar numbers, which I eventually discovered were associated with that companyThey never left a message, so if this company was trying to make an effort at re-establishing communication it was a poor effortThey proceeded with a campaign of harassment, calling 5-times per dayI blocked their number on day 3, then started getting the same types and quantities of calls from two other numbers (it is day now and I expect this pattern will continue)These other numbers are either associated with other offices of theirs or other marketing companies they sold my number toI haven't figured it out yet, but I probably won't bother because knowing won't solve anythingPerhaps this company is more respectful to customers who are paying them, but the way they treat non-customers, tells me at least from an ethical perspective, that they shouldn't be in business

We received a snap pack offer (IPAD) in the mail if we called and had a presentation of solar to usMe and my husband sat through a hour meeting with a consultant by the name of Bob Gunter and was presented with numbersAt the time our edison bill was not in our nameI then got it transferred in my name and was able to get the last months of our bill for our monthly average to see if it would save us to go solarIn the end we were promised an Ipad for the presentationI have called many times since our appointment on may 9th and have gotten the run around say that since the bill was not in our name at the time of the appointment the snap pack is invalid or another excuseI have had many representatives tell me they will call me back and it never happensWe were genuinely interested in solar but now not with this company

I was exploring hiring a Solar Company, and these guys must have been in the referral source I received an early morning call from an obnoxious sales person and it was so rude that I canceled my appointment via email and received a confirmation The cancelation was followed by five more phone calls to harrass me and several more attempts that were unanswered They refused to take no, no matter what I can see why the are getting all these complaints STAY CLEAR I had much better experiences at two of their competitors One being Sullivan, the other being Solaire Energy These two companies were 100% profssional That said, they won't go away T

My wife and I just wanted to share a positive review for Horizon Solar From the cold caller “Autumn Hope” on to the sale rep“Paul D” they were great individuals to talk with very informative and NOT high pressure In process we talked with several other individuals along the and they were all very friendly always helpful If you are considering solar I would put Horizon Solar at the top of the list

We have had our PTO (permission to operate) since August 14, I have emailed *** *** a few times and she said she would have someone contact usWell, guess what??! Not one person called us from Horizon SolarA service technician arrived at my home on September 8, and the only reason we knew someone was there was because we ran into him in the drive-wayHe told my father that our side panel was defective and a new panel needed to be orderedNot to mention he also says some other “box” needed to be installed and it wasn’t even there! I was sent a flyer to receive a gift card for amazon I called phone the set me up for a solar evaluation at my home the could not save me money on solar and denied to give me what was promised a gift card predictor practice of getting in fo and not giving what was promised

I live in a gated private community in San Diego On 7/3/ A sales person from Horizon Solar spoke to me about solar I told him I am only iterested in the solar tiles or future technology, but agreed to hear more of the sales pitch while I researched his company I researched Horizon Solar I reliazed they had nothing to offer me so I cancelled the appointment I also spoke with their customer service person and told them I was no longer interested in their product Then they sent me a text, asking if I wanted to "opt out" of any further sales calls I replied YES
Since then I have received calls and text continuiously from horizon solar These are some of the numbers they use when calling my cell phone: ***,1***6,1***1,18***5,14***,***73,19***, etc

I purchased a solar system for my home in June The sales agent was *** *** At the time of order I informed *** that we were not in the house a full year at time of purchase and he estimated our electrical usage for the last months of the year The contract said the solar panels would cover 99% of our solar usage and he said we would probably get a refund at the end of each year During the first year our electricity bills from So Cal Edison were low but did show additional bills for power provided that was not covered by the Solar panels My wife called Horizon prior to the year period and spoke with *** *** who told my wife that the solar panels would produce more power in the remaining months to cover the electricity not covered earlier in the year In September I got a bill for over $for electricity not covered by the solar panels I called Horizon in early September and complained I spoke with *** *** and he said that my $bill was not as bad
